Peach Gravy Pork roast pairs particularly well with this delectable fruity gravy, which is very straightforward. Just a few of the drippings and some new peaches will do.

Nothing like hot cornbread (or even just BREAD) straight out of the oven with some butter when you're having a terrible day. I feel like if there's a type of recipe that Lucifer would pick up quickly, it's BAKED CARBS. The heat from Hell probably throws off all the proofing/rising times, but he's had several thousand years to practice.
SOUTHERN COMFORT FOOD SERIES Chicken and Waffles Sweet Tea Peach Cobbler Hushpuppies Crab/Crawfish Boil Gumbo (plus character notes!) Beignets (part 2) Shrimp and Grits Biscuits and Gravy Pecan Pie/Sugar Pie Fried Catfish ??? - Season 1 Finale
Description under the cut!
[IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Colored comic!
Panel 1: Lucifer opens the door to Alastor's room, which is dark inside. L: Hiiii there mister. I made you a snack. Heard you were having a bad day -
Panel 2: Alastor's shadow appears, hissing threateningly at Lucifer, who just stands there with a plate of hot cornbread in his hands, unbothered.
Panel 3: The shadow pauses, noticing the cornbread.
Panel 4: The shadow has gone back to its usual size, and it's sniffing at the plate happily. Alastor (offscreen): Did you make cornbread?
Panel 5: Lucifer sits down on Alastor's bed. Alastor is nowhere to be seen under a massive pile of blankets wrapped around him. All that is visible are his eyes and his hands as he plucks a slice of cornbread off the top of the plate. He glares at it dubiously. L: Yup! Niffty showed me! Even used a cast iron pan!
Panel 6: Alastor munches on the cornbread within the confines of his blanket mountain, though his eyes imply he's quite happy. His shadow sits behind him, beaming and projecting little heart shadows. A: Thank you. Lucifer smiles, pleased with himself.

Logan with a reader who loves to cook for him?? I’m from the south and food is a love letter here!! 😤 deer steak, peach cobbler, biscuits and gravy!!!
Need to fatten him up before the Canadian winter gets to him 🥺 come home Logan your dinners gettin cold
~~~Wonderful request gorgeous!!!! Had my stomach grumbling while I was writing it. I hope you enjoy it and that this is at least somewhere along the lines of what you were looking for!! This was the only photo of Logan I could find where he’s eating~~~
~~~On a separate note, I'm sorry I've been away for a bit y'all I've been having a rough time, my nana passed away recently so I've been struggling with that. I may be posting less frequently for a while, hope y'all understand. But I did wanna get back into writing and I feel this is the perfect request to write to make my return. My nana was always making that good Southern food for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her collard greens had to be the best I've ever had in my life, her broccoli casserole, mac and cheese, biscuits the whole shebang. She always had me in the kitchen with her insisting I learn how to make everything so I could carry on her recipes so when I saw this request I knew I had to pull out her recipe book. I know she'd also want me to go back to writing cause she loved Wolverine. She never got to see Deadpool and Wolverine but I showed her the clip where Hugh's shirt explodes and she went WOWIE! and watched it at least 10 times so I feel this is a good way to honor her memory, she'd want me to be thinking about Hugh Jackman. Nana this one is for you I love you.~~~
~~~Mostly fluff, implied oral at the end but nothing is explicitly written, also mostly unedited cause it's just a quick little thing~~~
I focus on my Nana's broccoli casserole recipe in front of me, carefully mixing the blend of cream of mushroom soup, eggs, onions and mayonnaise in a bowl until it’s thick and creamy. I pull the bag of broccoli florets out of the freezer and add them to the mixture taking care to make sure they’re thoroughly coated. I take some of the cheddar cheese shreds and sprinkle it into the bowl stirring it in thoroughly before pouring the ingredients into a dish. I take extra care in sprinkling whatever shredded cheese I have left on the top of the casserole. I read from my Nana's recipe, crumbling up a few packets of Ritz crackers, and sprinkling the crumbs along the top of the casserole alongside the shredded cheese, just as she taught me when I was little. I grab my oven mitts opening the oven door, gripping the casserole dish tightly in my hands, slipping it into the oven. I set the oven timer to 45 minutes, pulling my oven mitts off. I turn my attention back to the pots on the stove, lifting up the lids to check on my collard greens and mashed potatoes. As soon as I lift the lids up the sweet aroma of a home-cooked meal fills the kitchen. A smile making its way onto my face. I begin clearing the table setting up the placemats and getting the plates and silverware ready. I jump slightly as the front door opens and closes, Logan's voice wafting through the air. “Darlin I’m home!” He calls out and I grin as I hear his voice, I poke my head out of the kitchen and I sight watch him kicking off his shoes at the front door. He looks up catching sight of me and I watch him take a deep breath inhaling the smell of my cooking. “Something smells delicious” He chuckles taking a few steps towards me, I step out of the kitchen, meeting him halfway and his eyes roam my figure hungrily taking in the sight of me in my apron. “And something else looks delicious” He chuckles wrapping his arms around me.
“Hi baby” I grin, giggling as he nuzzles his nose against the top of my head, “have a good day?” I ask softly, and he grunts running his hands through my hair and kissing the top of my head.
“Better now I’m with you” He chuckles gruffly holding me tighter and I smile, “So whatcha got cooking for me” he pulls away slightly, his hand cupping my face, tucking my hair behind my ear, his other hand finding its place on my lower back.
“Hmm, some broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, collard greens…” I grin looking up at him, fingers lightly tracing shapes on his chest. He groans, his lips falling down to mine in a passionate kiss.
“Oh darlin you treat me so well” He chuckles, his lips falling from mine, ghosting along my jaw where he presses light kisses against it. His lips kiss down my neck and I let my head fall back slowly as he nips gently at the skin of my collarbone “Always cooking delicious meals f’me” he groans lightly, burying his nose in the crook of my neck inhaling deeply.
“Well you take such good care of me, only fair I take care of you too” I giggle.
“And you do it wonderfully” he grins, tightening his hold on me, I wrap my arms around his neck. “I appreciate everything you do for me" He kisses me, murmuring against my lips "lemme show you how much” He kisses me again, his hands leaving my lower back to palm at the fat of my thighs, massaging the skin rhythmically. I giggle leaning into his touch, closing my eyes only to have them spring open at the sound of the oven alarm going off I chuckle lightly as he groans loudly at the interruption. Keeping his forehead pressed against mine.
“Baby as much as I’d love that, I gotta go check on the food… can’t let it burn” I say softly pushing lightly against his chest and he grumbles reluctantly letting me go.
“Fine fine, just so all your hard work doesn’t go to waste” He grumbles and I smile patting his cheek lightly, weaseling out of his arms and walking back into the kitchen. He trails after me sniffing the air, humming quietly to himself. I grab a pair of oven mitts, opening the oven taking the food out putting the dish on the kitchen counter. I turn the stovetop off stirring the collard greens and mashed potatoes one last time before grabbing two plates gently scooping a large portion of food onto Logan's plate. Repeating the process and scooping a slightly smaller portion onto mine. I hand the plates over to Logan who sets them down on the table pulling my chair out for me.
“Thanks honey” I grin and he pushes my chair in when I sit down, he grins at me slyly pouring me a glass of wine. Pouring another for himself before settling himself in the chair on the opposite side of the table. I take a small bite of each food giving it a small taste test, while Logan across the table digs in like a man starved, practically scarfing down his food. I chuckle lightly sipping my glass of wine.
“Oh baby you outdid yourself” He mumbles through a mouthful of food, making me laugh. “Absolutely delicious” He compliments and I smile.
“Used Nana’s recipe” I grin, “same one she used for Thanksgiving dinner” I chuckle, scooping up another forkful of food and guiding it into my mouth. “well thank you, Nana” He chuckles raising his glass of wine, waiting till I tap mine against his, before he takes a sip. It doesn’t take too long for us to finish up our food and I start to stand up as soon as Logan's plate is cleared, reaching across the table to grab it from him, but he tsks shaking his head at me. “Oh no you don’t” he says making me pause my movements my hand hovering over his empty plate. He smiles walking behind me putting his hands on my shoulders massaging gently kissing the back of my neck, gently pushing me back down into my chair.
“What?” I laugh, letting him guide me back into my chair.
“You cooked, which means I do dishes” He insists, and I chuckle.
“Alright, alright” I smile watching as he clears the plates from the table, he puts all the leftovers in containers and stores them in the fridge. Carrying the pots to the sink pouring soap in the pots letting the hot water run and fill them up. I watch him from my seat at the table taking another sip of wine, watching the muscles in Logan's arms flex as he scrubs the pots and pans rinsing them of soap before putting them in the dish rack to dry. He grabs a tea towel using it to dry his hands, as he turns around leaning back against the kitchen counter, his gaze landing on my figure.
“Well I’m stuffed” he smiles setting the tea towel aside, “but…” He grins standing behind my chair massaging my shoulders again. He takes my hand tugging me out of my chair, holding me close to him, kissing me softly hands gripping my thighs, lifting me up slightly to sit on the dining table. He pulls my body to the edge of the table, making me lay back leaning on my elbows. He pulls up the chair I was previously sitting on, perching himself on the edge of my chair. He pulls my shorts off, my panties following not far behind. He tosses them aside letting them land in a forgotten corner of the room, his lips trailing along my thighs kissing them gently groaning softly at the taste of my skin. He grips my thighs guiding my legs over his shoulders, biting softly at my upper thighs, “I think I’ve saved just enough room for dessert” He purrs, his head dipping down between my legs.
I got asked this awhile back, and wanted your opinion too. Jonathan fav foods?? Feel free to go into detail ♡
sorry for getting to this so late but man favorite foods! I did a short list of foods he's fond of at one point but it's a bit outdated, but as a quick list off the top of my head:
Biscuits and gravy, both the sausage and white gravy and ham and red-eye gravy varieties, as far as he's concerned they're a filling staple and taste good too.
Jambalaya, really any Cajun rice dish is one he enjoys but that one's his favorite, his grandfather taught his grandmother how to make them so they're also childhood dishes.
Hummingbird cake, he makes it from scratch at least once every year.
Pumpkin bread, specifically that loaf-pan sweet variety. Warm with a little brown sugar butter is ideal.
Peach-pecan pie, especially his family recipe.
Coffee-flavored...anything, really.
Pulled pork sandwiches with peach bourbon bbq sauce. If you've never had it I highly recommend it. Though notable Jon will stand by this is better if the pork is wild boar.
Apples and peaches, baked or raw, favorite apple is Pink Lady, favorite peach is Belle of Georgia.
Apple cider, obviously.
We all know my Jon's a whiskey-drinker, lesser known is his preference for honey whiskey.
Sweet tea is a necessary addition to this list, I can't not include it.
Since tis the season yes, Jon likes pumpkin spice coffee, though if pressed his second favorite flavored coffee is buttered rum. He doesn't usually like flavored coffee much, though.
Its just ORIGINAL RECIPE CHICKEN and dip every bite in gravy except one (just so you can taste the chicken itself). Get the Pineapple juice. Get a LARGE peach mango pie." source: https://x.com/octavio_holo/status/1841669465421054162
Top fave foods?
ooops sorry anon i have no idea how i missed this?? okay let’s go:
shredded peking duck with scallions and hoisin sauce. used to enjoy them on the little pancakes you get from takeout places but alas, they are not gluten-free, and gluten hates me. also i can’t ever find any peking duck outside of the uk that tastes the same as it does at the place down the street from my uncle’s outside london. rip.
buttermilk biscuits + white sawmill gravy, which i also can only enjoy ever again if i find decent gluten-free recipes for them. actually just… just assume anything on this list that has gluten in it can only be enjoyed by me hypothetically. anyway this is objectively the tastiest delicacy from the deep south in the US, i’ll die on this hill.
pecan pie, as baked by my mother, who uses an ungodly amount of both sugar and butter. (i almost chose peach cobbler, god, this was hard.)
squash casserole, a comfort food from my childhood.
montreal-style bagels from st. viateur in quebec 🙌
#asks answered#honourable mention goes to the street kebab in oslo because i lived off of that shit for like 6 months when i was in my 20s#every now and then i get a craving for it that can never be satisfied#this is objectively the worst part of living in lots of different places and then finally putting down roots in one#kiss goodbye all the local foods you took for granted in all of the places you used to live#fuck how could i forget clotted cream on scones???#god clotted cream my beloved
It’s Valentine’s month, so here is Greta Van Fleet as some of the sweet things my Dad has done for my Mama over their 25+ year relationship.
Jake: When my mom was pregnant, she absolutely craved fresh spring water, so my dad would go up the mountain every other day and gallons of water and buy her fresh peaches. It seems like something Jake would do.
Josh: Almost got into a car wreck because he saw my mom’s favorite flowers on the highway and wanted to pick them for her because she’d had a bad day. This seemed very Josh coded to me, and it was sweet
Danny: Learned her favorite song on the guitar and plays it when she’s had a bad day. Also, learned her grandmothers biscuit recipe because Mom hates making them, but loves gravy biscuits. Also, learned how to make jams and perseveres and can food because mom loves to do it and Dad wants to hang out in the kitchen. Danny has a lot because I couldn’t pick one out of these examples.
Sam: Buys her favorite flowers every Valentines Day and puts a fake one in the bunch with a note that says “When the last flower dies, so will my love for you” but they never die because they’re fake. It’s cheesy and seems like Sam
Dallas Dining Delights: Exploring Iconic Restaurants in Dallas
Dallas has an almost glorified reputation as a city not only in Texas known for its food scene but also as its diverse sports teams like the Cowboys, Mavericks, and Stars. From delicious Indian barbecue to connoisseur of Mexican food favorites, Dallas has many irresistible restaurants that will definitely leave your tongue wanting more. The article is about to identify some of the most popular Dallas restaurants in Dallas where you can find not only both tourists as well as residents of this city but also loads of good food.
Barbecue: A Taste of Texas
Texas is known across America for mouthwatering barbecue, and restaurants in Dallas serving up smoky brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and more. Many of the most popular barbecue joints have been around for decades, gaining fame through word-of-mouth over tender, juicy meats. From old-fashioned, hole-in-the-wall spots to newer, hip restaurants, barbecue has a strong standing across Dallas neighborhoods. Visitors making a barbecue pilgrimage won’t want to miss out on staples like pecan pie to finish a meal dripping in savory sauces.
Tex-Mex Favorites
You can’t talk about Texan cuisine without mentioning Tex-Mex. Dallas offers plenty of casual Tex-Mex restaurants serving up classics like tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and more with a touch of the Southwest. Crispy tacos filled with spiced ground beef, chicken or succulent barbacoa paired with a frosty margarita is one of the treats in Dallas. Many local favorite Tex-Mex spots have been family-owned for generations, passing down recipes and traditions to keep diners happy. Be sure to save room for some warm, just-fried chips and queso or a hearty bowl of chili con carne.
Where Sports Fans Gather
Sports culture is huge in Dallas, so it’s no surprise that many iconic restaurants also double as sports bars and pubs. Televisions lining the walls make these eateries popular places for fans to gather over wings, pizza and beer to cheer on the Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars or Rangers. Some old-school spots maintain an old-world pub vibe while newer hot spots have a modern, lively energy fueled by crowds reacting to big plays and wins.
From traditional Irish pub fare like shepherd’s pie and fish and chips to classic bar food like juicy burgers and loaded nachos, sports bars allow fans to fuel up without missing a moment of the action. Many have expanded outdoor patios and an energetic atmosphere after big victories.
Southern Comfort Food
In a blend of Deep South influence and Texan flair, Dallas comfort food brings diners generous portions of cuisine that feels like home. From chicken fried steak smothered in peppery gravy to fluffy biscuits and giant cinnamon rolls, comfort food eateries in Dallas serve up hearty cuisine, often with a helping of southern hospitality on the side. Chicken and waffles, catfish, collard greens, cornbread and other soul food staples also populate menus at spots across the city.
For those with a sweet tooth, banana pudding, pecan pie, peach cobbler and hummingbird cake are just some of the decadent southern desserts that top off a meal.
Fine Dining & Upscale Eats
Dallas also shines when it comes to elegant, fine dining featuring steakhouses, seafood eateries, five-star restaurants and more upscale cuisine. Splurging on Wagyu beef, fresh sushi and seafood towers or enjoying a special occasion meal at a celebrity chef’s hot new outpost pairs nicely with views of the glittering Dallas skyline.
The famous steakhouse scene offers premium cuts of beef and old-fashioned tableside service amid clubby, masculine interiors. Lobster bisque in bread bowls, crabcakes with spicy aioli and creme brûlée provide a taste of luxury that keeps Dallas high on lists of American foodie destinations.
Whether you’re looking for barbecue, Tex-Mex flavors, bar atmosphere for sports in Dallas, southern comfort foods or five-star elegant dining, Dallas delivers iconic restaurants to satisfy any craving. From old soul spots to new hot spots, chow down on local specialties and regional cuisine that makes Dallas a tasty Texas destination for food lovers. With such a strong sports culture and vibrant dining scene, Dallas brings people together through mouthwatering meals to savor for memories long after the plates are clean.
Best home food recipes
In search of a comforting meal that's simple to prepare at home? These time-honored recipes are the epitome of comfort food at home. Chicken pot pie and tomato basil soup are my favorite comfort foods. The article provides a collection of recipes that are great options for cooking at home. Let’s explore them…
Lasagna with Sausage and Spinach
Like many Italian dishes, Lasagna lends itself to numerous permutations, like this lasagna recipe that includes fresh spinach and sweet Italian sausage.
Mac and Cheese
Although macaroni and cheese are crowd-pleasers, nobody enjoys it when the sauce dries before serving time. The search for the "creamiest, cheesiest" mac and cheese ends here, with this tried-and-true recipe. But how? Heavy cream, chicken broth, sharp cheddar, Colby jack, and a generous amount of each.
Chicken Pot Pie
This traditional dish has a rich filling made of chicken, potatoes, peas, carrots, and onions. Using rotisserie chicken and adding the shredded meat straight to the gravy is a time-saving trick. Use puff pastry sheets or a premade pie crust instead of making your own from scratch.
Chicken with Spinach Stuffing Baked
This classic chicken dish won the 2006 Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest and is still a family favorite. The combination of maple-flavored syrup, peach preserves, and Worcestershire sauce is the unconventional ingredient that truly elevates this home-cooked meal—the Thanksgiving-inspired spinach stuffing pairs perfectly with the main dish.
Air-Fried Chicken Wings
Even though chicken wings are typically enjoyed at a sporting event, you can prepare them whenever you like in the comfort of your home. You can avoid using a tonne of oil when frying chicken wings in a modern air fryer. Chicken wings, salt, pepper, garlic powder, olive oil, and your preferred wing sauce are all you need to make this simple but delicious dish.
Homemade Sweet Milk Waffles
Homemade waffles can taste just as good as those from a diner. To make light, airy waffles, fold in beaten egg whites and drizzle in melted butter. Make homemade sweet milk waffles with maple syrup and whipped cream to impress your brunch guests.
Potatoes Baked Twice
Creamy mashed potatoes, sour cream, cheese, and any toppings you like go into making a batch of twice-baked potatoes. They go great with steamed greens and a bowl of homemade soup for a quick, easy weeknight meal. The addition of crispy, crumbled bacon elevates these already-excellent twice-baked potatoes.
Appetiser Bread with Cheeseboard
It's like a cheeseboard in a loaf of French bread, complete with all the fixings. To make the filling, you'll need some fresh rocket, fig preserves, dried apricots, and sliced salami. Your guests may not believe you made this meat and cheese stuffed bread loaf from scratch.
Conclusion
All of these are some of the simplest home cooking recipes. Give those a shot and enjoy the fun if you like the meal with your loved one or family.
I imagine in his early days, Alastor was an energetic little hobbit child romping around the woods and catching frogs and helping his wonderful mama in the kitchen any chance he got.
I’ve had moments like these, where I eat an old favorite (namely Thai-style ketchup fried rice) and suddenly I’m six years old again in my grandparents' kitchen with the orange tiled countertops and the humid smell of a South Carolina rain coming down outside.
SOUTHERN COMFORT FOOD SERIES Chicken and Waffles Sweet Tea Peach Cobbler Hushpuppies Crab/Crawfish Boil Beignets (part 2) Shrimp and Grits Cornbread Biscuits and Gravy Pecan Pie/Sugar Pie Fried Catfish ??? - Season 1 Finale
Her mom, living her second life and thriving up in Chicago comes to Hawkins for Thanksgiving with her daughter, in Jane's grandmother's house, the same one she grew up in and was handed to in her Grandmother's will after she passed. They both go all out with dinner. Even making and baking pies together. One pumpkin, one apple and one peach. Sometimes Jane wants to get creative with a cheesecake she does by herself, different varieties and flavors year after year. They do the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes made from scratch, green bean casserole with the french's dried onion rings, yams with marshmallow topping — mainly for her mother's, Joy's, consumption. And, of course, Grandmother Jackie's recipe for honey cornbread muffins. Made from scratch gravy and ocean spray jellied cranberry sauce from the can to top everything off.
The invitation list for dinner is large, essentially asking any friend or neighbor to join if they don't have plans. Do not tell Jane that you don't have plans for Thanksgiving, she'll look at you as if you sprung a second hand, ask you to repeat yourself and then promptly invite you to dinner at her place and even if you make up an excuse, you're gonna get a plate and a slice of pie in your hands one way or another.
Oh, and if you're too stuffed to even move for the rest of the night? Jane and Joy are more than happy for you to spend the night and have breakfast in the morning. Don't worry, you'll be looked after.
Acts of service being Jane's love language? I don't know what you're talking about.....
( It is. )
How to make Classic Lasagna with Ricotta cheese’ at home?
The word “lasagna” or “lasagne” is derived from the word “Laganon” which is a Greek word for pasta. Although many of us connect lasagna pasta with Italy, some claim that it actually originated in either Greece or England. The majority of reports, nevertheless, tend to suggest that the pasta meal as we know it today initially appeared in the Middle Ages in the Italian city of Naples.
The Classic Lasagna Recipe
Ricotta cheese is a popular ingredient in lasagnas because it gives the dish a creamy texture and delicious flavor.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 50 minutes
Ingredients
http://chickenfriedrecipe.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/lasagne-768x960-1-2-2.png
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
1 medium onion -chopped
2 garlic cloves -minced
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons salt -divided
3 teaspoons Italian seasoning -divided
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves -divided
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup minced fresh flat-leaf parsley -divided
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese -divided
15 oz. (1 ¾ cups) whole milk Ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese -divided
1 large egg
12 lasagna noodles
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare the meat sauce. Over medium-high heat, add the beef and sausage, breaking them up with a wooden spoon. Add the garlic and onion. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until meat is browned. From the meat, remove the fat. Put the meat back in the skillet.
Add the water, sugar, 2 teaspoons of salt, 2 teaspoons of Italian spice, 1 teaspoon of basil, and the black pepper to the tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and water. Stir
Thoroughly to mix.
Cover and reduce the heat to low.The sauce should simmer for 30 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of the parsley that has been minced.
Make the ricotta mixture while the sauce simmers. 1 cup mozzarella, 1 cup ricotta, 1/4 cup parmesan, 2 tablespoons parsley, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon Italian spice, and 1/2 teaspoon basil should be combined in a big bowl. Stir thoroughly to combine.
Cook the pasta according to its package directions.
Put the lasagna together. Add a very thin layer of meat sauce (approximately 14 cup) to a 13×9-inch baking dish. 3 lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, and 1 12 cups of meat sauce should be layered. Layers is repeated twice.
Add a final layer of the remaining noodles, meat sauce, 1 cup mozzarella, and ¼ cup parmesan.
Cover with foil that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil. Bake 15 more minutes.
Prior to slicing, allow the lasagna to cool for 15 to 20 minutes.
Is lasagna healthy?
Even though lasagna is not typically considered a healthy dinner, you can add nutritious substitutes at home to boost the meal’s nutritional content. When making lasagna, choose whole-wheat noodles rather than white ones because white noodles digest quickly and raise blood sugar levels after eating.
If you’re using ground beef or chicken in your lasagna, choose 95 percent lean cuts, and rinse the meat after cooking to remove any excess fat. To cut down on your consumption of fat, use less cheese, sprinkle it on top sparingly, and pick low-fat mozzarella. Finally, add plenty of vegetables to your lasagna to increase the meal’s fiber, vitamin, and mineral value.
To acquire the nutritional advantages of veggies without dramatically altering the texture of your lasagna, try pureeing the cooked vegetables immediately into the tomato sauce before building your lasagna if you don’t like the texture of vegetable pieces.
