Was interested in figuring out what sort of interaction there'd be between Korsica and Macaron - I guess they're colleagues through and through but I can't say I thought about it too hard (there were some fun panels to draw here so I went with it). I'm very sure the whole cute angle was done before but I wanted an excuse to get familiar with drawing almost the rest of the crew, and it's fun.

I like to think of Astarion having a lisp when he first became a vampire due to not knowing how to speak around his fangs. After 200 years it's better, but I like to imagine that it slips out on occasion when he says certain things or gets excited.

small details i noticed from the bug scene under the cut. aka more insight to Ted's personality. spoilers ig.

the Bug when it goes into walking mode the screens read out "Beast Mode"

the Buttons/switches in The Bug are mislabeled but in the way they are code for silly things.

the switch labeled "BLAST" turns on the music (Kickstart my Heart- which if you know Ted from comics you'd know he has a heart condition).

the switch labeled "STEALTH" activates that "bug fart" which also on the screen reads "cloaking systems Houdini" which i find the escape artist reference cute considering one is one of Ted's friends.

other fun things: The Bug's way of walking and legs are designed to mimic actual scarab beetles which i found so cute, and there's even the fact that she flies out of the water included! loved that.

Also the fact the bug seemingly has some future/advanced tech incorporated and mixed up within it's very retro analog designs and screens. found that interesting. It really gave the feel that this is the og bug he had had since day one and instead of completely redesigning her he kept adding on as time went on.

I'm not really compelled over fyodor lying about there being another war. I believe he lied, and that he contrived those details. But Stormbringer and 55 Minutes make evident that after the Great War, there were lingering resentments and fractionalized treaties and nuclear-esque weapons research. The threat of another war hangs over them like green storm clouds, it's why the tripartite framework even exists.

Fyodor might have lied about the specific image of a war that he painted, but Fukuchi believed him because of the truth that it could happen again, and that it could be much worse than the one before.

The fact that the one time I ranted to one of my best friends about Yu-Gi-Oh! which was when my tired, sleep deprived mind noticed the difference between Ryou's and Yami Bakura's eyes, sent them these pictures and my friend just went:

It is confirmed that Sneak is supposed to resemble a cat! He is described as a "cat-shaped grimspawn with one bulbous eye" on page 75, and a "cat-like grimspawn [with] a devious mind and a lie waiting on his tongue at all times" in the glossary.

Mateo and Cooper bonding over their fear of failure was a delight, plus Cooper mentioning "parents" instead of just "mom."

Cooper looked a little stiff. "Uh, um… I don't know about that. My parents get pretty upset if I don't get things right the first time." (Page 47) [Cooper] rubbed the back of his head as he stopped in front of them. "Yeah. My parents wouldn't like to hear about me leaving class early, but I told the teacher I was friends with one of the artists." (Page 183-184)

Pretty good, right?" She was annoyed about a lot of things. But she had to give it to him- it was smart. So she sighed, striding past him, and nodded. "Sure, Logan. Nice job." He perked up even more and and followed her across the room.

"Well, I think the judges are obviously really dumb," Logan said, way too loud, and everyone looked their way. "Z-Blob is super awesome in your drawing! Even I can't laugh at him. He should've at least won first place. The art teacher must have something in both of his eyes." Z-Blob stuck his [head out of Mateo's] backpack and gurgled, as if thanking him for the compliment. For some reason, that was all it took to break Mateo's tension, and he started to laugh. Logan looked surprised before he started grinning."

Final Thoughts:

As far as writing-quality goes, this book is about what you'd expect. It won't blow you away, but it's still good. Other than a handful of typos, I couldn't find any problems with it. Absolutely adored the characters' personalities in this story, and their subtler actions really made it for me!

Honestly I kinda don't get why we distinguish f!Cell/q!Cellbit and not q!Cell/q!Cellbit since we already have the different nicknames to know which is which

So I think that a good change would be to switch to q!Cell when we're talking about the Cell that is canon to QSMP and f!Cell when talking about Cell that is only canon to Fuga Impossivel since there are quite signficant deifferences between them like:

q!Cell: ate Pac's leg, met Bad before Alcatraz and escaped the island (since now he's on Quesadilla Island)

f!Cell: didn't eat Pac's leg (I'm pretty sure that detail was added later on to the canon but during QSMP so according to Fuga Impossivel it never happened), never met Bad (I don't know 100% because I didn't watch it ngl) and he technically might have as well died on that island

And these are basically key points in q!Cellbits backstory
