Inside Out 2 review!
It was pretty good actually and I think it was accurate to being thirteen.
The introduction of new emotions as a signifier of Riley’s maturing was really fun.
I loved love LOVED embarrassments arc with sadness. really cute,
I do wished we had a bit more time for anxiety’s takeover in the mind. It was really sudden, and with the end message being “You can’t pick who you are” it made the ending kinda weak.
I think the maybe five minutes to show how the current pruning of her beliefs made her unstable and immature like the locker room scene in the beginning, and how anxiety actually improved her performance in when working in moderation, would have made a more impactful ending. Compared to the first movie, where we had several moments about the consequences of suppressing emotions and how expressing emotions is more beneficial. Ultimately with few moments showcasing how pickin and choosing is bad, it made the end message iffy, and it honestly felt like growing up just makes u insecure. tru but that’s not the message u want in a kids movie.
Nostalgia was cute. Ennui was realistic, lol.
The portrayal of envy was really interesting too, i really loved how it was not inherently a bad thing, and how anxiety fueled that envy was a great concept for the movie.
I do wish that the emotions could be more true to what they embody when communicating, i think that was a little unexplored. Like anger when encouraging could be a little more tough love, and disgust being like “ew. now MY idea…”.
My real question: how the fuck do the police and all the other workers in this movie not who who the emotions are?! they live in HEADQUARTERS, they run the damn show. they got arrested AGAIN.
Also, what happened to the of bestie. They just forgot her lol.
OVERALL,
I liked the new mind mechanics, reallly cool, new emotions made sense, but a tad bit more fleshing out would really help it.

This whole ordeal is finally coming to an end.
After a grueling 118 days, these are the tears of joy running down not only on Benjamin's face, but I'm sure on many other actors who have had been struggling during all these days.
Congratulations to everyone! 🎉🎉

I wish my favorite show was built like a telenovela so I could get like 80 episodes. Why are shows nowadays max 10 episodes long per season? I’m sure it’s some tv executive crap so they don’t have to pay that much.
#PAY YOUR WORKERS#and I’m sure this isn’t like a controversial thing to say#I’m sure writers and actors would enjoy the job security that comes from making shows with a lot of episodes.

I don't think Aziraphale is going to fall
You see, I have seen all this BEAUTIFUL and PAINFUL theories where they think that Aziraphale falling is the ultimate ending... But i don't really agree
We are seeing falling like this ENORMOUS lack of faith or something that GOD sees and goes : "Oh, yeah... You going down" something that can happens in matters of seconds and anywhere in the universe, something INTERNALLY, but i don't think that is how it works...
I see falling more of a... Bureaucracy thing, something that can only be done in heaven and that God doesn't really has any particular say about.
Its not about the actions of the being (of the Angel in this case) but if those in charge knows about it.
And we have 3 clear examples about it.
1) Aziraphale's lies. He lied two times (directly) to the above. He didn't fall.
2) Crowley's Questions. ALL HE DID WAS ASK QUESTIONS. He didn't really lose his faith, he just wanted to know more. But he fell.
3) Gabriel's accions. Is a sin to kill, he tried to, and didn't fell. He went AGAINST HEAVENS ORDERS, and the reason he didn't fell was because IT WOULD LOOK BAD AND BRING QUESTIONS. That's all, that's the reason.
If it was automatic, he would have fell in the minute he went against it all, or when he was going to Alpha Centaury with Beelzebub. But he didn't.
So i don't really think that Aziraphale falling is really a possibility, after all " For one Prince of Heaven to be cast into the outer darkness makes a good story. For it to happen twice, makes it look like there is some kind of institutional problem. "
#that being said#Please don't stop the amazing flow of fan work#I just wanted to bring my point of view about this all being more officy that we really give them credit for#good omens#good omens 2#ineffable husbands#aziraphale#crowley#aziracrow#aziraphale good omens#crowley good omens#a season 3 sounds good#go2 spoilers#Aziraphale falls#Aziraphale GO#good omens theory#pay your writers#pay your actors#pay your artists#pay your workers#good omens 3

During the writers and actors strikes going on rn it's been making me think of Newsies (fucking love the musical, 100/10) and I just wanna know one thing. It's a VERY popular musical that Disney has produced TWICE (movie music, 1990s I believe, Broadway recording, 2016 ish). So I believe I can safely assume that at least some of the higher ups in some of these companies have seen it, or at least know the plot.
And if they do, DID THEY LEARN NOTHING? THE ENTIRE SHOW IS ABOUT THE NEWSPAPER DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND GUESS WHAT? THEY GIVE INTO THE DEMANDS AND COMPROMISE
and here's the fun bit, it's based on a true story. So if some poor kids were tired of getting taken advantage of in the late 1800s and got the big old rich guys to listen to them. What makes you even PONDER that these writers and actors (some of which were PART of productions of these kinds of stories) are going to give up and continue to be taken advantage of? Get a fucking grip AND PAY YOUR FUCKING WRITERS AND ACTORS
You guys would be NOTHING without them. Disney wouldn't have made it these last 100 years without everyone working their damn hardest to make a movie everyone can love. Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and everyone else would be distant memories without the hard fucking work people put into their jobs. SO PAY YOUR FUCKING WORKERS
Those workers add HUMANITY and emotion and care into everything they do and that's not something you can replace with a fucking robot either
#writers strike#actors strike#heres an idea#PAY YOUR WORKERS#i love you Newsies for letting me develop this lovely thought#waiting for the day that ceos take their heads out of their self abeorbed asses#like is really that fucking hard#they say that they cant give into demands bc then itll show their week or some shit#but in all honesty showing you care for your workers and giving them what they deserve is a good thing and will make people like you more#i know its shocking but its true#im quitting my job today bc im not treated fairly and dont get paid enough#these people dont want to quit their jobs bc they love what they do and what it brings to people and they have the opportunity to fight#should they need to fight hell no but THEY CAN#so maybe these fucking dumbasses should LISTEN TO THEM#bc i sincerely believe they are horrendously underestimating how long people will fight for what they deserve#ok im going to bed now

Now that the WGA strikes have been resolved it is time to redouble our support for the other unions currently striking. Our writers have finally been able to get a favourable deal. This is a victory that deserves to be celebrated, but in your celebrations do not forget those who are still fighting for their rights in their industry. The SAG-AFTRA strikes are still ongoing, they need the same value and support that we give to the WGA

Day six of drawing using my office supplies until they stop me
Whoops it’s Arthur again. What a horrid man. I love him. I’d like to say I hate capitalism and facists and if I can draw on company time I absolutely will. No amount of “being a good worker” will stop me

I loved Good Omens but my gods I forgot how bad Amazon's captions are. There were multiple lines, especially in the final episode, where the captions were so wrong I was actively missing the next couple of lines while I processed what the characters actually said. Which is exactly the type of thing captions are supposed to stop me having to do. Gods forbid if I were hard of hearing.

Job Application (for a big name company): list your preferred pay amount
Me: at least $15/hr
Response email: sorry, we can't pay you more than $8.50/hr for your work. We do have an employee discount and flexible schedule though, want an interview? Also this email is very confidential and only for this specific person to read.
Me: that's rather bold of you right now.
The worst part is I'm having such a hard time finding a job right now and this is one of the only responses giving me even a small chance. This country (USA) is a fucking nightmare!!
