Paladins are my favorite class in dnd, or just most RPG's actually.

Your telling me I can have a character who does good damage, can tank a lot of hits, AND support my allies at the same time? Sign me UP

AND for like DND and Pathfinder and stuff, OATHS ARE SO COOL. Even if it's not like a holy thing, having so much willpower and conviction to do something that it gives you magic powers, and having those powers warp and change if you fail is AMAZING.

Paladins are great.

A D&D/Pathfinder/whatever other TTRPG idea came to me while playing the digital pinball game Demon's Tilt, and hearing the unholy sister, Lilith, repeatedly say "Well done, paladin."

When the holy fails to protect the innocent, it falls to the righteous among the unholy to ensure they are not wrongfully condemned to damnation... and none are more fit for the task than a Paladin of the Nine Hells.

My Cleric: *Uses Automatic Knowledge (Religion)* “Huh, he’s got Weakness 10 (Holy) *and* Weakness 10 (Cold Iron).”

Paladin PC: “Oh, neat, all my Strikes count as holy and I’ve got this magical cold iron starknife we’ve been keeping around for plot device purposes.” *Switches weapons and stabs demon.*

Demon: *Takes 11 piercing damage… +20 for weaknesses. Looks back and forth between the cleric and the paladin* “I’m not sure which of you I should be more pissed off at for that.”
