So here's my timeline theory on when each of the crime gang met the Moriartys.

First, Jack Renfield, a short while after the events of chapter 1. This is pretty obvious since we see this in canon.

Next came Moran a few years later, as evidenced by William, who by then was a teenager.

Von Herder came along either shortly before or shortly after Moran. They knew each other prior to the formation of MI6, plus Herder was the one who designed Moran's rifle from chapter 3.

Fred was the next one to cross paths with them. The exact circumstances behind this first meeting are currently unknown, as of writing this post.

Moneypenny was hired as Albert's secretary back when he was working in MI5 (and was subsequently transferred over to MI6 when it was formed).

It was also not long after MI6's founding that Patterson was taken on as one of their informants.

And then finally, we have the last additions of James and then Billy. Again, no need to elaborate on how either came to be.

S/O Wearing Glasses Headcanons

William James Moriarty, Sebastian Moran, Fred Porlock, and Von Herder

William James Moriarty

The first time he saw you wearing them, he thought you looked adorable.

He likes shopping for frames with you but is unhelpful when picking one since he thinks all of them suit you.

He buys you extra pairs just in case you break or lose yours.

He would be the one to remind you for check-ups if you would always forget or only go when you need a new pair.

When he sees your glasses covered in smudges, he always cleans them for you and puts them back in your case in secret.

However, you always figure out it was him with how neatly folded the cloth was and how your glasses looked brand new.

If you're spending time in the library, William would steal more glances at you while you're both reading.

He has definitely hidden your glasses from you or held them high enough for you not to reach them and asks for a kiss.

One time, you lost your glasses and used his cane to walk around to look for them, thinking you would only use it for a short while.

When he was looking for his cane and found you, he helped you find your glasses and had a special punishment in mind, saying how dangerous it is to use his cane without his permission and just ask him for help next time.

Sebastian Moran

He has definitely called you, Moneypenny, and Paterson the three blind mice at one point.

If you don't wear your glasses outside, he'll be confused and encourage you to wear them, wanting you to be careful.

If you still refuse to wear them, he'll try not to show it, but he'll be more protective of you.

Make sure you stay on the safe side of the sidewalk, always holding your hand and reading things for you if you don't see them.

If you ever feel insecure about them, he reassures you that you look beautiful with them on or not.

He doesn't want to admit it, but seeing you wear glasses does something to him.

He has also held your glasses hostage, holding them up as you try to reach them while teasing you for a kiss or attention.

He has also stolen your glasses at one point and tried them on.

Once, you broke your glasses by accident and could barely tell who's who, resorting to you getting as close as possible to identify them. William and Louis were the hardest ones to recognize from afar.

Sebastian got annoyed with how close you got while squinting your eyes that he made sure he always had a backup pair ready for you.

Fred Porlock

He thinks you look cute in them.

He tries not to stare when you wear them.

When you're shopping for frames, he likes watching you try them on.

Sometimes, he'll shyly recommend you one that he thinks would suit you.

He'll also wipe your glasses when he sees them covered in smudges or you're having a hard time seeing through them.

When he notices your eyes starting to strain, he'll ask when was the last time you had a check-up and join you for one if you want.

If he sees you leave your glasses somewhere, he always takes them with him and gives them to you when you remember.

Whenever you lose your glasses, Fred already has three guesses on where it is.

His favorite memory was when you were looking for your glasses, and he saw that it's on your head, so Fred just placed them down and watched you turn red.

He promised not to tell anyone about it, but he smiles to himself whenever he remembers it.

Von Herder

Whenever you break your glasses or lose them, he'll make you a new pair with a specially designed frame and accessories.

If you want a new glass style or have a design in mind you want to try, Herder will happily make it for you.

He has definitely teased you by pushing the temple tips up and down to get your attention.

Whenever you go for a check-up and buy new glasses, Herder will act dramatically and accuse you of cheating.

He makes you a better-looking pair with your new prescription and makes the one you bought your backup.

When you lose your glasses, Herder always helps you out since he can navigate just fine, even without vision.

If you tend to misplace your glasses or accidentally fall asleep with them on, he takes them and places them somewhere safe and within your reach.

However, one day, he was feeling playful. When you left your glasses at his work, he diligently cleaned them while you were looking for them around.

He patiently waited until you asked for his help, and he just put them on you and asked what you were doing so close to the firearms.

Whether you tell him Sebastian asked for your help in taking some guns or lie your way out is up to you.

BACKGROUND:

TW: SUBSTANCE ABUSE, INFIDELITY, DEATH, OVERDOSE.

Born in New Jersey, and didn't have a great childhood. His father walked out on the family not too long after the birth of his sister, Valentina.

His mom blame the kids for the father's abandonment and would turn to drugs and partying, instead of taking care of her kids.

Dante would step up and become the caretaker of his little sister at a very young age.

His mother would OD one night, leaving Dante to find her. After that, Dante would take over guardianship of his younger sister. Giving up most of his life to raise her. But she was just as troubled.

She would fall into the wrong crowds and get hooked on drugs. When she got pregnant at 15, she promised to clean up her age. But around 7 months, she'd OD. Herself and unborn son wouldn't make it.

Dante out of his mind with grief would end up finding himself enlisting in the military at age 20.

This would give him some sense of purpose again. Eventually even learning medical stuff, and becoming a combat medic.

Met his wife at 23, married her at 24, and had their first daughter, Valentina Isobel at 25.

He'd send one more year in the military before deciding to stay in the states with his family.

During his time in the military, he was acing medical courses, then deciding to continue his education to become a doctor.

He'd gain his degrees, go through the motions, and by 37, he was head of the cardio department at Mercy General.

By 39, he'd find himself promoted to chief of surgery.

At 33, he had his second child, a son, named Giovanni Luca.

His marriage to Andrea, his wife, would hit a wall when she'd be caught cheating on him nearly 15 years into their marriage. Dante hasn't forgiven her for that, but they've still tried to work on things. It'll be 17 years married.

SOME HEADCANONS:

Still wears his dog tags, and has the dog tags of a fallen solider he was good friends with during his time in the military.

Named his daughter after his late sister, and they call her Val for sure.

Has a shelve of tattoos, along with scattered ones.

He keeps a picture of him and his sister when they were kids in his wallet, and has always made sure his kids know about her. He also has a picture of his sister pregnant and happy in there too.

A devoted father. Loves his children so much, and feel conflicted feelings towards his wife at the moment. He is hurt and going through the motions of the marriage right now.

Green is his favorite color.

WANTED CONNECTIONS:

FRIENDS: He is super sociable, and a nice guy to be around

ENEMIES/I DON’T REALLY LIKE YOU: Not everyone likes everyone.

COWORKERS: Hospital staff, doctors, nurses, etc. Also anyone who might have served in the military with him.

PATIENTS: People he might have worked on, or helped get better.

COUPLE FRIENDS: Those who would be close to him and his wife for whatever reason.

Mental Health HCs, with our boy Paterson.

Paterson doesn’t like it when you feel this way, hates how much you change. But he knows it’s not your fault, you cannot control it when your inner thoughts are plagued by demons.

He does everything he can, from giving you space, to holding you tight as you cry into his shoulder.

Paterson knows when the mood swings are coming, he can sense them like a change in the weather. And he’s prepared to give you all the love and attention you deserve to help you through the tough times.

He usually goes to the store while your home napping. Grabbing you new oils and soaps, some fancy snacks you love. Endless amounts of chocolate and plenty of aspirin to help with the headaches that accompany your tears.

Paterson will come home, laying out everything on the counter. He is also conscious of your therapist and psychiatrist, making sure they know how you’re doing on the medications and regimens that they want you doing.

Your therapist wants you to indulge in daily exercise, some calming yoga or even mindfulness meditation. Paterson loves it when you do these, sometimes he joins the yoga but he isn’t as flexible as you and it usually ends in the two of you giggling when he pulls a muscle.

He likes to write about you in these moments of happiness. How beautiful you are when you’re finally at peace, the storm clouds vanishing for a time.

Paterson knows it’s only temporary, but his love for you is anything but.

I hope this is okay! i understand completely what it’s like to have these thoughts and feelings that plague your mind, body and soul. It’s a perfectly natural thing, and I want you all to know that’s you are loved and appreciated in this community.

I feel like there are a lot of cloudy days in Paterson, New Jersey

In fact, so many that Paterson gets used to it, gets used to all the rain, all the dreary weather

Like SO used to it to the point that he doesn’t even realize that he hasn’t seen the sun in nearly a week

But he doesn’t necessarily mind, it’s nice to not be boiling underneath the harsh gaze of the sun

It’s hard when he sits behind that thick windshield of the bus all day long, the bus with the shitty AC system that doesn’t fully work the way it should

So Paterson isn’t necessarily fond of hot, sunny days

But it’s autumn now

The Sun has moved further away from the Earth, easing up on its glare, cooling the air and soil beneath him

It's autumn now, and Paterson doesn’t mind the sun as much as he usually does because of it

He especially doesn’t mind it when he comes home to you, on a particularly sunny day, wearing less layers than usual as you bask in the sun, in the dinning room, reading William Carlos Williams, one of his books

The way you’ll tilt your head back every now and then, and close your eyes, just taking in the rays before you return back to the page you’re so stuck on

Reading the lines over and over again, trying to understand them in that profound way that comes to Paterson so naturally

He watches you from his spot in the doorway, not daring to move a muscle and startle you, he just wants to take in this beautiful image before him

The last remnants of the warm afternoon sun drafting into the dining room, the windows open, letting the soft breeze twist and curl around the curtains and kiss your skin, softly enough to raise a few goosebumps

But not enough to make you go and grab one of Paterson’s sweaters that you love so much

You’ll notice him eventually, but for now he notices you

Watches you as you soak in so much sunshine and store it away for a gloomy day when you’re not feeling so hot

The gloomy days in Paterson aren’t as easy for you, they get you down a lot more easily

On those days, Paterson reminds you of the sunshine that’s right around the corner

Waiting for you to bask in it again

I'm realizing I did not give enough context to this post and that is my fault.

I like to say that time best tells the truth, and for the American Communists of the 1920s-1930s, especially those in the Jewish community, that was extremely true. During the Depression and WWII, the American Communist party had massive growths in general and in the Jewish community.

People in America at that time didn't know what was going on in the Soviet Union. Not only was the USSR making sure to put on their best face for the rest of the world, news just did not travel then the way it does now.

Once revelations of virulent anti-Semitism came out, the party died a natural death. Of course, that was long after Steve (and Bucky) went into the ice and "died".

Any headcanons with Bucky and Steve as communists are set in the Past, and it's a Past based on what was actually happening in New York City and Brooklyn at the time. I am not writing Bucky as anti-Semetic or pro-Soviet. I am writing Bucky as a radical activist Jewish punk who did what he could to help the people of his community in the best way he saw fit at the time, and I am trying to do it as truthfully as possible.

I need more things w 1930s Bucky being a member of the Communist Party and dragging Steve to some meetings. Not being at all shocked when Steve dives into deeper than he does.

Cut to decades of false propaganda later, when Steve defrosts and shocks the hell out of everyone by being a dirty fucking commie. (Or a dirty commie fucker, if you're Bucky.)

Strong!Reader Headcanons

How the Moriarty gang treats a reader who's as strong as a mountain.

Moriarty Gang

William scouted you because you were the strongest person he met. Almost indestructible, to be honest.

The gang once caught you with a couple of gunshot wounds, but you acted back to normal after a couple of days.

It kind of scared some people how unbothered you were with the injuries and scars you got from missions.

You're the one usually doing the heavy lifting around the manor.

Carrying heavy groceries inside, helping Fred with the gardening equipment and tools, bringing Herder's inventions to missions, moving around the furniture...

You once even lifted the couch with Sebastian, Fred, and Bonde sitting while sweeping the floor.

You sometimes even coach the others on working out and exercising, so they stay in shape. Surprisingly, Master Jack was the one who usually kept up with you.

You're the designated caretaker when Sebastian, Bonde, Albert, and maybe even Paterson when they go out for a drink.

Bonde is one thing, but Sebastian was beet red and flailing as you carried his 6'5" ass back to the manor over your shoulder like he was nothing.

Albert was laughing beside you, and Paterson shook his head at the colonel the whole way home.

You once instinctively lifted Louis by the waist when a mouse came running by in the kitchen, Simba-style. He couldn't look you in the eye for the rest of the day.

Bonde, on the other hand, treats you like his personal carriage and sometimes asks you to carry him when he's feeling tired or just plain playful.

Speaking of Bonde, he once dared you to carry Moneypenny around when she sprained her ankle. You agreed, not seeing a problem, but Moneypenny kept hiding her face in your chest and kept quiet the whole time.

Even though you can crush a man's skull with your bare hands, you wouldn't hurt a fly.

...Unless William orders you to, but they love you all the same.

Kylo would find you on it when he would come home after a long day, completely unaware that you were even hiding one.

"Woah, what is that thing, babe?" Kylo would ask, looking at you clearly enjoying yourself.

You gathered yourself enough to pull the toy out of yourself, turning it off for a moment to exactly show him how it worked.

When he discovered he could get his own app, he never stopped using it on you in public.

You would be grocery shopping and feel an all too familiar sensation inside of you.

You would stop whatever you were doing in the aisle to bend over, legs shaking.

If Kylo was feeling very risky, he would bring you to your peak.

To other people, it just looked like you were very into picking out some cheese together.

Sackler

"Kid, have you seen my, oh my god."

Sackler would bust into your shared bedroom, obviously looking for one of his tools, because god did he misplace them every day.

He would crawl between your legs, looking at the pink toy.

Sackler would put his hand on it, feeling just how powerful it is.

"Jesus Christ, doll, you can take this?"

He would take your phone from you, learning how to make custom patterns for you to use.

When he would put the intensity too high you would buck your hips up at him, making him laugh at you.

It became a regular part of your sex routine, and Adam loved making you cum two, maybe three times before he was inside of you.
