"Ugh..." you groaned as you turned to your side, moving your hands to feel silk sheets covering you.

Bewildered, you shot up and found yourself in a luxurious room lying in bed, creating more questions.

You removed the sheets, seeing your hands and ankles covered in bandages.

You were still in your clothes last night, but your body didn't feel as sticky or dirty as before.

"What is going on...?" you muttered, trying to recall what happened last night.

"Right... The newspaper, and those three men... But wh-" the sound of knocking snapped you out of your thoughts, making you turn to the door.

Before you could react, a blond man with glasses opened the door, pushing a trolley with a cloche.

"Ah, you're awake, Good." he greeted as he saw you sitting in bed, pushing the trolley to your side.

"Miss (Y/N), I believe?"

"Oh-Yes! I'm (Y/N) (L/N)... And you are...?"

"Louis James Moriarty,"

"Lou-" you stopped yourself as you recalled the character of the same name, bearing a striking resemblance to the man before you.

'There's no way... right...?'

"I hope this meal fits your palette," he opened the cloche and revealed a plate of omelet rice, bacon, and beans.

You gulped at the sight, feeling your stomach grumble as you gripped your hands.

"Here, you likely haven't-" you snatched the spoon and fork from Louis' hands and ate heartily. Each bite tasted better than the last.

"So good..." you muttered, ecstatic to finally have something to eat and finish the meal instantly.

"Ah-! Thank you so much for the meal! I haven't eaten anything since lunch..." you awkwardly laughed, making Louis widen his eyes.

"...I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfast," he replied, surprising you.

"Breakfast?" you repeated, looking outside the window to see the sun shining brightly.

"Ah, right..." you mumbled, feeling the same dread and unease as last night as you looked down on your clothes.

"Ah, an associate of ours cleaned you up last night. I believe she put it inside your nightstand," Louis reassured as you nodded, looking at the bandages.

"She also treated your hands, knees, and feet. If you are feeling better, please stop by at the parlor downstairs,"

"O-Okay, thank you again, Mister Louis..." you blurted, earning a nod as he pushed the trolley out and closed the door behind him.

You took a deep breath and sighed--almost a whine-- as you leaned back on the bed.

"So all of this is real..." you muttered, looking around the room again, now noticing the familiarities in the series.

"There's no way... right? Then again, there's no way I could have gone back to freaking Victorian Era England-- And yet, here we are!" you grumbled as you raised your hands in defeat, pacing in the room.

"That reminds me..." you patted your clothes, feeling nothing but your body.

"Right... No pockets. It's all in my bag... Which I probably lost back when I-" you stopped as your blood turned cold, "...When I got hit by that truck..." you sighed, dropping down to your knees.

You took another deep breath as you stood up, going over to the nightstand and seeing the cloak washed and your shoes on the side of the bed.

"If this world really is from Moriarty the Patriot..." you grumbled as you put on your shoes and grabbed the cloak, "Then that means this place is..."

"Miss (L/N), good morning," William greeted you with a courteous smile from his seat.

Albert sitting on the chair beside him, Sebastian, Bonde, and Fred were on the couch, while Louis, Jack, and Moneypenny stood in the room.

'Oh God... They really are...' you gulped as you put on a smile, nervously walking up to the room.

"Good morning...! Um... thank you again for your help," you greeted back, making William smile as the others kept their wary eyes on you.

'Please don't kill me... I'm broke- I mean, not rich...' you prayed in your head as you stayed in your spot, holding your hands tightly.

"Well then, shall we get going?" he asked as he stood up, grabbing his cane as you blinked at him.

"...Excuse me?"

"Your home, miss," he clarified, making you hum in understanding.

"Right...! Of course...." you nodded, following him out of the manor.

'...What the fuck do I do now?'

You kept quiet as you restlessly looked out of the window of the carriage while William sat across from you, observing your every move.

"We should be far enough by now," he spoke up as he looked outside, catching you by surprise as he gave you a calculating smile.

"Now then, would you mind clearing some confusion of mine?"

"...Okay," 'I'm pretty sure I'm dead if I don't, anyway,'

"Judging by your appearance and conduct, I assume you're well-off enough to not be living in the streets, such as how we found you last night,"

You took a breath you didn't know you were holding and exhaled.

"Right..."

"You seem to be in the working class. However, I do not recall any occupation a woman can have that will lead to bloodshot eyes, fatigue, numbness and pain in the wrist, and poor posture-- which explains the neck and back pain," he continued, making you touch the back of your neck.

"It's as if your work asks you to sit down for a prolonged period of time... Perhaps with a typewriter?" you held on your wrist, and sure enough, the pain from working in front of the computer is still there.

"...I'm an office worker-err uhm...! A clerk, I guess...? As you say here? Sorry, English isn't my mother tongue," you nervously chuckled, but William kept his serious gaze.

"Now, for your clothes..." he continued, making you feel conscious as you covered yourself.

"Ah, I apologize. It was not my intention to make you feel uncomfortable,"

"N-No, it's fine... They're my work clothes," you explained, knowing lying or trying to trick him would be a mistake.

"I see... And where do you work?" he asked, making you gulp.

"...It's not exactly easy to explain..."

"Take your time. This carriage is only circling the block, after all," he reassured with a smile, shocking you as you looked outside, seeing it was Fred in disguise driving the carriage.

"...Of course..."

"Now then," William smiled as he pulled out a traveling tea set, setting it up as he poured you a cup.

"Shall we continue our discussion?"

i think the reason why only fred and louis went to sherlock before the final problem is just that they loved william as a human while everyone else saw him and loved him as more than human.

william was something Other to albert, and to moran, and to bonde.

he gave albert hope, and the motivation to achieve the world he always believed should exist. he freed albert from his past life and, although albert corrupted him, gave him the chance to fix the broken world that had scarred him so much.

he gave moran purpose, and a cause to fight for. after everything fell apart while he was at war, after the greatest tragedy of his life, william showed up, pure and with a fresh cause to fight for. young and brilliant, william became moran's north star.

he gave bonde freedom, a chance to do more. not only did william help him find a way to be who he really was, he also offered the opportunity to fix a world which bonde had seen hurt so many people he cared about.

to those three, william gave so much. he, purposefully or not, indebted them to him. made himself more than human.

but to fred and louis, he was just william. they could see past william's ideals and sparkling new world to see the person underneath.

since we don't know fred's backstory, it's hard to dissect why, exactly, fred sees him like this. but the hunting of the baskervilles provides some insight into this.

fred doesn't have unshakeable devotion to william; he doubts, he wavers. but he still makes the decision to trust him, and to work with him. it isn't devotion, and it isn't debt; it's just fred deciding that he'll help support william and his mission, because he believes in him.

and louis? louis had always looked up to his brother, but that's who william always was. his brother. nothing more and nothing less. does he place his full faith and trust in william? of course. but he knows better than anyone else that william is just human.

albert and moran and bonde would follow william to the ends of the earth, would do everything they could to follow through on his plans. and if his plan meant his death, then they would still help him, no matter what.

fred and louis would follow william to the ends of the earth, would do everything they could to follow through on his plans. but if his plan meant his death, then they would save him, no matter what.

to albert, moran, and bonde, william was more than human.

but to fred and louis, he was more than the lord of crime.

and that made all the difference.

I have no idea if this poll will have as much widespread appeal as some of the others, but this idea popped into my head and felt like a fun one to me, so...

Now you can take this whatever direction you'd like: who you realistically think you're the closest match to, or pure wish fulfillment who'd you most enjoy being. I'd love to see people's reasonings for their choices in the comments and tags. x3 Please reblog for a larger sample size!

In my case, I'd love to think I'm the Watson as a loyal friend, but I'm far too squeamish to be helpful with most medical needs besides basic first aid, and I would NOT be any help in a fight, I'm running in the other direction and yanking Sherly with me the second there's gunshots, bye. I think I'm mostly likely Mrs. Hudson--responsible, own a home, love Sherly and Watson despite their faults, still deeply loyal and tough in my own way even if I'm not in the thick of the danger, a bit of a homebody probably and good at whipping up some tea/food.

With all that said, interpret these roles any way you want! That will be a big part of the fun for this one, seeing how people decide and back up their picks. :)

¹Suicide Act 1961. This act removed suicide as a crime in England and Wales, meaning those who survived a suicide attempt could not be prosecuted. Family members of those who did not survive could no longer be prosecuted either. However, under Suicide Act 1961, Section 2, it remains a crime for a third party to encourage or assist in the suicide of another.

²Terrorism or Organised Crime (or both)

Definitions:

Terrorism: The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

Organised crime: Criminal activities that are planned and controlled by powerful groups and carried out on a large scale.

The motive of organised crime is often, but not always, financial.

The Moriarty Plan is a force of violence with the intention of political change. This violence is commited against their home country meaning this is domestic terrorism. They have no wish for financial gain, however, because they are commiting crimes that are planned and controlled, this is also organised crime. Those directly involved in The Moriarty Plan and its execution are therefore guilty of both terrorism and organised crime.

³The Gun License Act 1870. This act meant that anyone may still purchase a gun, however a license was required to have one off your personal property for any reason. This means that James Bonde and Sebatian Moran are both guilty of illegal possession of a firearm as they are both legally dead and therefore cannot have a gun license. However, Sherlock, William and Von Herder are never disclosed to have a gun license but this does not mean they do not have one as they would be perfectly elligable to get one. If they do all own a gun license, this takes Sherlock's crimes down to 5, William's crimes down to 29 and Von Herder's crimes down to 7.

How Sebastian, Fred, Bonde, and Herder would take care of their lover if they were sick.

Sebastian Moran, Fred Porlock, James Bonde, and Von Herder

A/N: Jack, Moneypenny, and Paterson will be added in part two-- I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T REALIZE I READ THE ASK WRONG ASGHAJHG also, here is the Moriarty Brothers' version and Sherlock's version!

Sebastian Moran

Definitely has experience taking care of you when you have a hangover or body sores.

When he finds out you got sick, he'll most likely scold you (despite the high chance he's the reason why you got sick in the first place).

Unfortunately, your sore throat can't let you voice your complaints, and can just glare at him.

Sebastian probably acts the calmest while taking care of you.

But he keeps holding your hand while you're sleeping, rubbing his thumb against your wrist to check.

Also does not care if he gets sick because of you.

He probably welcomes it, saying he will have a reason to not do chores and he can stay in bed with you.

He probably camps in your room, hiding from Louis and Moneypenny and saying he's there to take care of you.

But when he does get caught, they literally have to drag him out of your room.

He checks in on you every now and then while doing chores, making sure you've eaten, taking medicine on time, and resting properly.

He'll most likely feed you, even if you have the energy to eat on your own.

You had to kick him out of your room so you could change by yourself despite him promising not to look.

He'll probably act exasperated while taking care of you, but still does it diligently.

He definitely stayed by your side while sleeping, making sure you were alright.

Even when you get better, he'll still check your temperature and make sure you don't push yourself, just in case.

Fred Porlock

When he tries to wake you up to start the day, his heart drops when he sees you sweating bullets and breathing heavily.

Ran to Louis for help, panicking while Louis checked up on you.

Fortunately, it was only a slight fever. But the headache you were feeling said otherwise.

Louis made you take a day off so you could recover and had the others cover for your tasks for the day.

You swear you could hear Sebastian complain, but it might just be the fever.

Louis and Moneypenny taught Fred how to take care of you, while also checking in on you when they could.

The poor boy was unsure what to do while you're stuck in bed.

You could tell he tried his best: carefully carrying your food and medicine to your room, blowing on your food when it's hot, feeding you, helping you take your medicine on time, and keeping you company.

But Moneypenny had to step in when you had to change your clothes.

Fred left the room even when you said it was fine and he could just turn around.

When he's done with chores and looking after the garden, he spends the rest of the day in your room.

Even when you're asleep, he watches you and keeps you company, sometimes even checking if your fever has gone down.

Back when he was an orphan and living in the streets, he had seen people dying from fever or a common cold and he didn't want the same thing to happen to you.

You try to reassure him, holding his hand while saying you will be fine the next morning with him looking after you.

But he still can't help but feel anxious, holding your hand through the night.

James Bonde

I wouldn't be surprised if you got sick when you got stuck in the rain with him.

Most likely from his idea of dancing together or kissing in the rain like in the novels.

However, what irks you is that James was perfectly healthy the next day, while you can't even leave the bed.

He charms his way out of your anger, though.

Still tries to cuddle with you while you're sick.

Constantly flirting and saying you still look adorable in his eyes despite being sick.

When you put on a mask to avoid him getting sick, he still kisses you, saying it'll be fine.

Likes feeding you the most, but also makes sure you take your medicine on time and rest.

While helping you change out of your clothes, he'll probably hug you from behind to get a reaction.

Other than his constant teasing and flirting, he takes proper care of you.

When you fall asleep, he kisses your cheek and goes do his remaining chores or tasks.

But if he had a mission that day, he'd come rushing to you when he got home and cuddles you.

He'll probably sneak into your bed and cuddle with you, sleeping next to you despite your constant warnings when you were awake.

When you get better, expect him not to leave your side and have him cling to you the whole day.

Or if he actually gets sick, expect him to still cling to you and ask you to look after him the whole day.

Von Herder

He probably warned you about taking care of your health when he caught you sneezing in the lab, but you most likely brushed it off as the dust in the air.

As it turns out, you did catch a cold.

When he found out, he probably teased you about being right but was worried about you, nonetheless.

He ensures everything you need is within reach, buying whatever you need and request.

Unfortunately, he still has work to do in the lab, so he usually just checks up on you once in a while.

Has invented walkie-talkies to keep you company (and let him talk to you about machines while you're bedridden).

If he hears you snoring and you don't respond, he lets you sleep and wishes you goodnight.

But he'll probably complain about you falling asleep while he was talking about his new invention.

Herder probably wears a mask and gloves while taking care of you, saying it'll be bad if he catches your cold while he's still working on projects.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wears a hazmat suit-

He makes you take your medicine on the dot, no questions asked.

I think he's a competent caretaker. He helps you change out of your clothes, feeds you, and makes you rest.

It's almost alarming how efficient he was in taking your clothes off and changing them, but you decided not to say anything.

When he's done with work, he visits your room to keep you company.

If you're asleep, he'll probably be on the side inventing something he thought of for you as quietly as possible.

He'll probably kick out Sebastian or Bonde if they try to go to your room while you're sleeping, saying they'll wake you up.

However, if he starts getting bored, he'll probably poke your cheeks to wake you up saying it's time to eat or take your medicine.

Finished Moriarty the Patriot, and now allow me to present my favorite character of all time (aside from William Moriarty, ofc):

Bond. James Bond.

Did I expect a trans character to show up in this anime? No. Did I fall in love with him? Yes. Yes indeed.

Bond is such an interesting and well made character, and it is a huge shame he barely got any screentime in the second half of season 2. I guess I have to read the manga now, at least for more Bond.

Flower symbolism in Yuumori:

We all know that some characters have assigned flowers in the manga (Liam and Sherlock) and others in the anime (Louis, Albert and John), but I've never felt they're quite right. They seem a bit lackluster, so I tried to make my own list complete with meanings!

Liam: lilies. They symbolize purity, and are commonly a symbol of mourning, often found on gravestones of family members.

Albert: roses. They symbolize love, and the added touch of sub rosa interacts nicely with their goals.

Louis: azalea. As I've mentioned before, they symbolize family and unity, so it's only fitting they'd go to the one keeping the family together.

Moran: forget-me-not. They symbolize undying love and loyalty, and past memories. Very fitting for a soldier.

Fred: edelweiss. They symbolize courage and devotion, two things Fred has a lot of.

James: belladonna. Not only do they symbolize beauty and confidence, they were also used by cosmetics by victorian women.

Moneypenny: jasmine. They symbolize grace and elegance, and are both used in tea and perfumes, making it a nice touch for her.

Herder: periwinkle. They symbolize friendship and new begginings, both things he heavily desires, if we are to go by chapter 12.

Sherlock: iris. They symbolize strenght and intelligence, both things he has a surplus of, and also have the additional meaning of wisdom, which he acquired in NYC.

John: violet. They symbolize loyalty and hope, both of which are always fitting themes for any Watson of any media.

Miss Hudson: zinnia. They symbolize affection and absence, a way to show how much she missed her boy during the timeskip.

Mycroft: nasturtium. They symbolize patriotism and conquest. Only fitting for the Queen's right hand man, isn't it?
