Hello! I wanted to let you know that last year I saw your pasta quest post and then I did it!!

I ate so many fun pasta shapes! And they brought me so much joy!

I haven’t decided quite what to do this year but I think it will be another make delicious food kind of quest - maybe a tasty food bingo card?

yesssss!!!!! if me and everyone who started doing pasta quest after my post all get together and focus really hard by our powers combined we can will new pasta shapes into production i just know it

had a pasta party to round out my pasta quest ♡

i forgot about it for part of the year but ended up with an even 20 different pasta shapes!!!

cheese tortellini, kd, bugs and cheese, fusilli, penne, shell noodle, fettuccine, lasagna, broad (egg) noodle, spaghetti, bowtie, gnocchi, chowmein, shanghai, maccheroni, cicatelli, pettini, orecchiette, gnocchetti, and fusilli (but different)

i am going to list some good pastas that I like (in order that i remember their names, so probably missed a few) Tortellini Penne Linguine Spaghetti Lasagna Bucatini

some true bangers in here. penne shape was my go to for many years but shoutout to tortellini in particular!! if i'm cooking at home i buy fresh BUT i love to grab dried tortellini (cheese filling) packages to take camping/backpacking. soooo good and not very heavy!!!

how did pasta quest go

It went pretty well! I didn't end up eating a ton of new shapes number wise (maybe a dozen or so), becuase I am a single person household and it takes a while to go through 1 box of pasta alone. I sort of tracked what I was doing by which i mean I took photos of the new pastas most of the times I made them, but instead of doing something useful like put them in an easy-to-navigate phone album, they are just. in my camera roll for whenever I made them. my original intent was to make a bingo card/big list and check them off as I went but that never happened. the above sort of explains why my resolutions are usually these "impulse based" resolutions like "eat more _____" where I can see something at a store, remember, and grab it. Rather than resolutions like "track every time I _____" because I simply will never write things down. i think with both i maybe posted a few pics to tumblr and then gave up also lol.

but also, i DID ask for this book of pastas and recipes for my birthday today:

so! Pasta Quest will continue into next year, with more shapes to come :) I have some other new quests for this year also but pasta shapes and fruits have become a part of my lifestyle now!
