Writing is an art form that can be incredibly fulfilling and gratifying. It can be a way to express oneself, share stories, and connect with others. For me, writing has always been a passion, a way to express myself and share my unique perspectives and insights.
It's not uncommon for people to take breaks from their passions, and it's understandable that I may have needed time away from writing over the past two years. However, it's inspiring that I'm now ready to get back out there and share my talents with the world again.
Whether I plan to write articles, stories, or helpful insights, remember that my unique voice and experiences are what make my writing special. I'm embracing my passions, and will use them as fuel to create something amazing. Writing can be a powerful tool to inspire, motivate, and uplift others, so don't be afraid to share it with the world.
Writing is my voice, where I feel able to connect with others as well as express myself openly. I came to Tumblr to share my passion. Although it will mainly be blog posts, it's allowing me to get back into something I once cherished. I appreciate you reading and following. I'm hoping this blog will share knowledge, educate and bring substance to the RenewablePhilosopher. Let's get started on our next journey.

The Scariest Part of Authoring is Marketing
Enjoy my latest blog! Tell me about your marketing/self-promotion journey and any discoveries you've made along the way.
Good grief!! The two hours I just spent promoting across social media was exhausting and, dare I say it, soul destroying, because who the heck knows if it’s going to work, right? Creating monsters like this can make a potential reader look twice, I suppose, but there’s always that element of doubt that anyone even cares about what took you months to create. Then you have to deal with the ones…

this is just my opinion but i think any good media needs obsession behind it. it needs passion, the kind of passion that's no longer "gentle scented candle" and is now "oh shit the house caught on fire". it needs a creator that's biting the floorboards and gnawing the story off their skin. creators are supposed to be wild animals. they are supposed to want to tell a story with the ferocity of eating a good stone fruit while standing over the sink. the same protective, strange instinct as being 7 and making mud potions in pink teacups: you gotta get weird with it.
good media needs unhinged, googling-at-midnight kind of energy. it needs "what kind of seams are invented on this planet" energy and "im just gonna trust the audience to roll with me about this" energy. it needs one person (at least) screaming into the void with so much drive and energy that it forces the story to be real.
sometimes people are baffled when fanfic has some stunning jaw-dropping tattoo-it-on-you lines. and i'm like - well, i don't go here, but that makes sense to me. of fucking course people who have this amount of passion are going to create something good. they moved from a place of genuine love and enjoyment.
so yeah, duh! saturday cartoons have banger lines. random street art is sometimes the most precious heart-wrenching shit you've ever seen. someone singing on tiktok ends up creating your next favorite song. youtubers are giving us 5 hours of carefully researched content. all of this is the impossible equation to latestage capitalism. like, you can't force something to be good. AI cannot make it good. no amount of focus-group testing or market research. what makes a story worth listening to is that someone cares so much about telling it - through dance, art, music, whatever it takes - that they are just a little unhinged about it.
one time my friend told me he stayed up all night researching how many ways there are to peel an orange. he wrote me a poem that made me cry on public transportation. the love came through it like pith, you know? the words all came apart in my hands. it tasted like breakfast.

Every single craft has been paying “The Passion Tax” for generations. This term (coined by author and organizational psychologist Adam Grant) — and backed by scientific research — simply states that the more someone is passionate about their work, the more acceptable it is to take advantage of them. In short, loving what we do makes us easy to exploit.

Look Into the Abyss Without Fear!
Enjoy my latest blog! To express your gifts, you need to be fearless and you also need to trust yourself!
Rewriting and re-editing an old work is never easy and it takes a heck of a lot of courage, especially if it was out in the big, wide world for a while and got great 4 and 5 star reviews (The Sword Bearers Books 1 to 4). But in my case, it was necessary. You see, I needed to fix continuity issues and make the writing tighter, faster, more engaging for the reader, and, well, just better! But it…

rookanis players: why isnt Lucanis' romance more passionate, more physical!! Why is he so subdued and quiet!! You barely even kiss!! Lucanis, fresh out of a year in a demonic torture pit, having just had one of his two remaining family members taken from him just as he's freed, almost losing Treviso to the elvhen gods which are a) apparently real and b) that he's apparently now responsible for killling and who, oh yeah, also is always literally on the brink of exhaustion because he can't sleep or his spite demon goes around causing mischief and sniffing people: rook, mi vida, please give me a break
