YA in an all-ages kind of way #ive seen people be like “it says it’s based on jewish mythology but none of it feels close to jewish mythology” but imo aside from maybe mar #marketing in the book itself it doesn’t really explicitly say this is jewish mythology? it’s just magic stuff happening to jewish characters #of course i am not jewish so my opinion doesn’t mean much; i do agree that (from my limited knowledge) it doesn’t feel like jewish mythology #particularly. i enjoyed it for what it was tho

On the topic of Mochijun, Im sorry to say, but the pace of Vanitas no Carte is just so killed for me right now, I cant really feel anything about it for more than a moment, catch me when chapters are normal length or something spectacular happens and its impact can be properly conveyed through 16 pages- 😔✌️

Hghghg my sleep schedule is in shambles and I've been busy as hell. I still have asks sitting in my inbox that I want to get to, forgive me/thank you for being patient!! Asks are always welcome, but when I'm in the middle of new chapter work and especially when my sleep gets flipped I can be extremely one-track minded. (so that is to say, you're more than welcome to still send them, I imght just take a little longer to answer. That makes it fun though right? Like a surprise.. or a sneak attack) Your questions aren't forgotten though and I will get to them... probably after I wake up? Y...es! the good news is I've done possibly my favorite drawings/panels of Elias yet to date, so that's fun for you all. Fun for us all.

i need a physiotherapist and massage therapist that will twist me up like a pretzel and stretch me and make my stupid fucking joints go in the right place and do deep tissue massage on the muscle knots until theyre gone. it will be painful as fuck but im living in a flare up right now and it sucks ass. im in so much more pain every day than usual and i would do just about anything to make it stop

#glub glub #for context i have fibromyalgia. and for me it manifests primarily as chronic muscle knots in my back and neck #which stem from joint issues and structural imbalances in my body and repetitive strain injuries from min wage jobs #and ive been living with one particularly problematic knot for many years and have tried as many things as i can afford #and none were helpful. tho im on a fibro medication that i feel like it takes the edge off the daily pain level #also i cant remember if this was before or after i remade my blog as a teen but around 17/18 #i had severe hip pain and needed a cane to get around school #i was insistent on getting an answer and was eventually told bursitis of the hip. which just means swelling #so they (the establishment) acknowledged that there was something wrong they could diagnose but not why #and over the years i would have moderate to severe pain in localized areas especially from working #needed to wear a knee brace to prevent what felt like joint laxity and pain while working snd going out for a long time #but sometimes the problem knee would switch. thankfully i never had both flaring at the same time #and then the issues i still have in my shoulder/neck/back on my right side from repetitive motion injuries from working #anyways i rambled on way longer than i meant to enjoy this deep dive into the history of my chronic pain

A lot of the game is really interesting. The war raging in the background of the story, the morally dubious events that lead to the protagonist becoming the protagonist, the dynamics of the fae both with themselves and with the mortal races.

However I think the game plays waaaaaaaaay too hard into the concept of fate for my tastes. Especially with the whole “tarot card readers can predict exactly when you’re going to die and are hated for that” thing.

One of my fave parts of this episode so far is how the m9 stumble upon a weird cursed emerald in the middle of snowy nowhere, frick around and find out (aka take 26/52 pts damage), and caleb immediately decides to do it again. And then again.
