ACADEMY REVEALS 2024 NICHOLL SCREENWRITING FELLOWS
Posted: Monday, September 30, 2024
LOS ANGELES, CA – Four individuals and one writing team have been selected as recipients of the 2024 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Each individual and writing team will receive a $35,000 prize and mentorship from an Academy member throughout their fellowship year. They also will participate in a week of virtual seminars, a virtual meet and greet with the Nicholl Fellowships committee, and in-person networking events, including a celebration in Beverly Hills on October 29. The Nicholl Fellowships were established in 1985 through the support of Gee Nicholl in memory of her husband, Don Nicholl.
The 2024 Nicholl Fellows are (listed alphabetically by author):
Alysha Chan and David Zarif (Los Angeles, CA), “Miss Chinatown”
Jackie Yee follows in her mother’s footsteps on her quest to win the Los Angeles Miss Chinatown pageant.
Colton Childs (Waco, TX), “Fake-A-Wish”
Despite their forty-year age gap, and the cancer treatment confining them to their small Texas town, two gay men embark on a road trip to San Francisco to grant themselves the Make-A-Wish they’re too old to receive.
Charmaine Colina (Los Angeles, CA), “Gunslinger Bride”
With a bounty on her head, a young Chinese-American gunslinger poses as a mail order bride to hide from the law and seek revenge for her murdered family.
Ward Kamel (Brooklyn, NY), “If I Die in America”
After the sudden death of his immigrant husband, an American man’s tenuous relationship with his Muslim in-laws reaches a breaking point as he tries to fit into the funeral they’ve arranged in the Middle East. Adapted from the SXSW® Grand Jury-nominated short film of the same name.
H (West Chester, PA), “The Superb Lyrebird & Other Creatures”
A neurodivergent teen who envisions people as animated creatures, battles an entitled rival for a life-changing art scholarship, while her sister unwisely crosses the line to help.
A total of 5,500 scripts, from 80 countries, were submitted for the 2024 competition.
The 2024 finalists are (listed alphabetically by author):
Kelly Beck-Byrnes, “Where the Boxelders Grow”
Tate Hamilton, “Delivery Girl”
Jamie Murphy, “Lights over Idaho”
Adele Smaill, “No Ghosts Tonight”
Justine Suh, “Deep”
The five fellowships are awarded with the understanding that recipients will complete feature-length screenplays during their fellowship year. The Academy acquires no rights to the works of Nicholl fellows and does not involve itself commercially in any way with their completed scripts.
The Academy Nicholl Fellowships Committee is chaired by Julie Lynn (Producers Branch). The members of the committee are Aldis Hodge and Caitríona Balfe (Actors Branch); Julien Thuan (Artist Representatives); Susan Shopmaker and Academy governor Kim Taylor-Coleman (Casting Directors Branch); Andrzej Bartkowiak (Cinematographers Branch); Allison Anders (Directors Branch); Bruce Hendricks and Marcus Hu (Executives Branch); Blaise Noto (Marketing and Public Relations Branch); Jason Michael Berman, Susan Cartsonis, Julia Chasman and Linda Reisman (Producers Branch); Sue Chan (Production Design Branch); Bobbi Banks (Sound Branch); and Destin Daniel Cretton, Susannah Grant, Ehren Kruger, Adele Lim, Justin Marks, Zak Penn and Katie Silberman (Writers Branch).
The global competition, which aims to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters, has awarded 186 fellowships since 1986. In 2024, several past Nicholl fellows added to their feature film and television credits:
Aaron Chung is a staff writer on Apple+’s “WondLa.”
Elizabeth Chomko directed the docuseries “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints.”
Eric Nazarian wrote and directed “Die like a Man.”
“Holy Irresistible” is from Andrew Shearer and Nicholas Sherman’s 2007 Nicholl-winning script.
“Interstate” is from Anthony Jaswinski’s 1997 Nicholl-winning script.
Jason Micallef is an executive producer and writer on Disney+’s “The Acolyte.”
R.J. Daniel Hanna wrote and directed two features: “Succubus” and “Hard Miles,” which he co-wrote.

Man, the way this fandom killed my three year long Dragon Age hyperfixation... Longest hyperfixation I have had but this fandom is a cesspool and doesn't bring me much joy anymore. I try (much like I tried yesterday to post VP and come up with new headcanons) but then I step one foot into any of the related tags (reason for this post, I made A Mistake just now) and there goes all my joy and whimsy again. Even Anders doesn't bring me the same butterflies and brainworms anymore because I've had to unfollow so many Anders accounts due to untagged hate/critical posts :(
I think about DA and I just feel kinda anxious and stressed. I'll still participate in the upcoming Anders Week because it's run by a friend and I already started on some stuff but after that I'm probably gonna pack it up and devote the rest of my attention to Cyberpunk which DOES make me happy currently.

Excerpts from the interview with Vallo Kirs (Kaspar Kordes)
Q: Why did you decide to take part in the filming of "Klass" ?
❝ Exactly one year ago, Gerda Kordemets sent an email to those who took part in the school's theater festival, offering the opportunity to participate in Ilmar Raag's new film project. It seemed appealing and interesting!
Q: You played Kaspar's role in the movie. What's his personality?
❝ Kaspar's character as he is presented in the film was created at the Koonga film camp in Pärnumaa.
He is an honest country boy, who came here to study at school from a small town of Antsla. Kaspar is a young man with a strong sense of honor, who is quite articulate, but often clashes with the others in the class. He is used to work in the countryside and get paid for it, but studying in the city he has to stand up for himself and his beliefs.
Q: How similar are you and Kaspar?
❝ I chose this role precisely because we share much in common. I also often argue with other people, however I would like to have Kaspar's good personality traits that made him the morally upright person we see in the movie.
Q: What was special about making this film?
❝ The process of making this film was very interesting and quick. The film had a small budget and was shot every day for two weeks. There were almost no days off, and it happened that some scenes had to be played in a mentally and physically exhausted state, so that it looked as real as possible.
Sometimes, during acting and filming, I had to go through things that before I've only seen from the outside, and that, I must admit, is an experience in itself.
Q: Based on comments from Ilmar Raag, the movie may frighten many viewers. Do you have any comments?
❝ Yeah, in the film camps we discussed topics related to school violence. Lauri Pedaja, who played Anders, even made a video about incidents related to it. If a student got hit in the face just because he is different from the others, it shows that something is wrong. In the film, Joosep was a problem for the class, which is actually like a mini-model of society. If someone is different or special, there is always a possibility of conflict. And a class will listen to its leader because his opinions are respected.
Q: Who is the target audience for the movie?
❝ The thinking youth, I believe. However, it would be a good educational film for schools, but only if it's followed by a group discussion. This movie should make people think about the fact that violence begets violence, but it's not the way problems should be resolved.

Character Preferences Survey: RESULTS
Last week, I made a survey for Fallout 4, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age fans to fill out. I asked who people romanced, and I asked for their favorite characters. I kept the questions vague as to avoid complications and caveats. Using these results, I managed to find several interesting trends, as well as instances of overlap between character preferences in fans.
I made a Google document detailing all of my findings. However, I will also include the very same findings below to make the results easier to access.
Finally, I will be attaching a link to this post in the original post. Happy reading! Thank you to all who participated!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before I begin, I would like to include a few disclaimers.
I received 240 survey responses. It’s impossible to have every single person who has played these games fill out this survey. Consequently, the results will never be truly indicative of actual popularity. This survey is merely for fun, and so long as we all remember the results are heavily skewed towards the Tumblr userbase’s preferences, this document should make for an interesting read! If your favorite didn’t perform too well, don’t feel bad. Out of the 240 people who filled out this survey, there are thousands more who didn’t, and who like your favorite as well.
Also worth noting, I did not include Morinth because I assumed her numbers would be too low to draw any similarities. However, I want to take this moment to give a shout out to the Morinth romancers. Thank you to Tumblr user @fivekoboldsinacoat for speaking up for everyone who loves their serial killer girlfriend! Genuinely, nothing but respect from me.
If you are curious about anything not mentioned on this document, please feel free to reply here. I will either reblog with a batch of replies, or reply using my main account, @prezs. Thank you!

NOTABLE ROMANCE TRENDS
FALLOUT 4
Hancock: Stealing the title of most popular Fallout 4 romance! People who romanced Hancock have massive overlap with people who used the Nick Valentine romance mod. There was also significant overlap with people who romanced Garrus, Zevran, Anders, and Fenris. Dragon Age: Inquisition, however, is a complete wildcard for most Hancock romancers.
Danse: Runner up for most popular Fallout 4 romance! Significant overlap with people who romanced Kaidan, Alistair (we’ll get to the specifics of this one), and Cullen. Twenty of the sixty people who romanced Danse did not romance Alistair… and out of these twenty, nine of them have not played a single game in the Dragon Age series. Keeping this in mind, that means approximately 83% of people who romanced Danse, and also played Dragon Age, romanced Alistair. Kaidan and Cullen also have similar overlap, but not to the degree of Alistair.
MacCready: A strong performance from our resident single dad! I was curious to see if MacCready had any overlap with other widowed companions, like Thane, but I couldn’t find anything. MacCready romancers were most likely to romance Garrus in Mass Effect, however. It’s okay! I get it! You guys love snipers! I completely understand. Do you think MacCready should get a sexy face scar too? Let’s discuss.
Preston Garvey: Similarly to Danse, most people who romanced Preston also romanced Alistair. Again, not to the same degree, but enough to be notable.
MASS EFFECT
Garrus: Our second sweeper. Similarly to Alistair, he was a common denominator among several people. However, there was a notable trend between people who romanced Hancock and people who romanced Garrus. Likewise, it seems there were several people who romanced both Kaidan and Garrus. This can either be attributed to separate playthroughs, or breaking up with Kaidan after the first Mass Effect.
Kaidan: Aside from the similarities with Danse romancers mentioned above, for those who have not played Fallout 4, the overlap between people who romanced Kaidan and those who romanced Alistair and Cullen was also incredibly strong. Likewise, several people who did not romance anyone in Fallout 4 also romanced Kaidan, Alistair, and Cullen.
Jack: While lacking in votes, the most overlap Jack romancers had was with Cait romancers! This… makes a lot of sense, the more I think about it. In fact, even with Jack’s lower numbers, this makes the overlap with Cait romancers even more notable.
DRAGON AGE
Alistair: He swept! What more can I say? Alistair was probably the one common denominator among most people taking the poll, which is a compliment to his popularity with so many different people. Because of this, he showed up SO often to the point where it was hard to pinpoint too many trends. Anything with unusual overlap will be mentioned in other character sections (see Kaidan, Danse, and Preston).
Fenris: Runner up for most popular Dragon Age romance. Something, something, joke about who swept who off the other’s feet here. While most Fenris romancers are wildcards in other games, the only character with notable overlap was Hancock.
Zevran: Ah, our favorite Antivan assassin! Aside from Hancock, Zevran was extremely popular with people who have never played Fallout 4 and people who have romanced several characters per game, more than likely due to different playthroughs.
Cullen: Several of his trends (primarily with Kaidan, Danse, and Alistair) have been mentioned above.
Anders: Hilariously, Anders was the only character who managed to have several people who romanced him, but did not include him on their favorite characters list. A testament to his divisive nature. I see you guys! You made me laugh! The only notable overlap I noticed was with Hancock romancers. That, and Anders appeared on a lot of lists where the voter romanced several characters instead of just sticking to one or two.
FINAL ROMANCE COMMENTARY
Of course, exceptions exist! Several do! I know I’m one of them, as my main romances were Danse, Liara, Alistair, Fenris, and Dorian. Well, I’m not an exception to the Danse and Alistair hive-mind. But, uh. Join us?
Regardless, I may or may not have missed more subtle trends. If you’re curious about the overlap between specific characters, PLEASE let me know in the comments! I’ll be happy to update this post and answer your question.
GENERAL POPULARITY
I feel the poll results speak for themselves here. Most voters included their romanced characters in this section, along with other non-romanceable favorites. While there were exceptions to this, anything truly notable was mentioned above.
The results were also not too surprising. Nick Valentine absolutely demolished the Fallout 4 polls. Mass Effect and Dragon Age, while with more variety in their leads, also brought in unsurprising results.
For Mass Effect, Tali, despite not polling too well in the romance section, took the lead in general popularity! Following her is Garrus, Wrex, Legion, and Mordin, with an honorable mention to Jack, Grunt, and Thane. Non-romanceable companions polling so well over several of the romanceable ones goes to show how skilled Mass Effect is at making you care about Shepard’s platonic relationships.
For Dragon Age, Alistair initially demolished the poll, but Dorian crept behind him right into first place! Also popular was Morrigan (who, like Tali, scored well in the popularity section but not the romance one), Zevran, Merrill, Fenris, Varric, and Josephine. Special note goes out to Varric, the only one who cannot be romanced and managed to give Dorian and Alistair a run for their money!
Tali, Morrigan, Leliana, Merrill, Cassandra, and several of the other romanceable women performed well in the popularity section, but not in the romance section. Tali, Morrigan, and Cassandra are only able to be romanced by male Shepards, male Wardens, and male Inquisitors respectively. Leliana, all of the Dragon Age 2 women, and all of the Fallout 4 women can be romanced by anyone. Romantic unpopularity for these characters can probably be attributed to the Tumblr user base, who not only tend to play as female characters, but also tend to be drawn to male characters. I believe our results would be different on, say, Reddit, where the votes of heterosexual men playing as male protagonists would be more common.

So, life's a shitshow, I'm still in therapy, the year's just begun and I'm already tired... I might as well break the promise I made to myself years ago and go back to write fanfictions.
Here's my first attempt at writing after years of hiatus: an Anders/Hawke sickfic. I won't be participating in the Anders week but I have some headcanons I'd like to take off my chest and since I can't draw I'll have to put them into words instead.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/61998565
Summary: "Amon Hawke is a strong and diligent soldier but he should learn that asking for help doesn't make him a burden, especially if it concerns his health."
I'm a little rusty and English isn't my first language so I'm sorry if it may sound a little wonky.

November 2024 TBR--
Tumblr media
I'm excited for my November reads which mostly consists of new releases/ARCs. I'm doing a very slow reread of one of my favorite books of all time which means Locke and Jean are spending November with me. I'm also finally reading another Hunger Games book for the first time. Let's get into the reads.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins-- This is going to be my first time reading the Hunger Games prequel. This one follows Coriolanus Snow as he mentors the female tribute from district 12 in the 10th Annual Hunger Games. I've heard some positive and negative things for this one so I am pretty nervous. I'm also usually not a huge fan of prequels coming out years after the original has finished.
Funny Story by Emily Henry-- Yes, I am now on the Emily Henry bandwagon. A couple months ago I read Happy Place and I am ready to get hurt again. I chose Funny Story as my next read since it follows a man and woman who are trying to save face in front of their exes by pretending online that they're together following humiliating breakups. I always love fake dating so don't even get me started. I'm so excited.
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch-- This is the reread that I'm taking so completely slowly. I originally read this one in a week despite it being so dense because I was absolutely living for it. This time I'm only reading one or (at most) two chapters per day so I can really take the time to absorb it. The Lies of Locke Lamora follows an orphan who is raised to become a gentleman thief who charms people right out of their purses. There are aspects of found family and heists that just make my heart so happy. This is one of my favorite books of all time.
The Whispering Night by Susan Dennard (NetGalley ARC)-- I was shocked to find that I got approved for this ARC a couple of weeks ago. This one is going straight to the top of my reading priorities for the month since it comes out soon. This is the final book in the Luminaries series. We follow Winnie Wednesday who is looking forward to the Nightmare Masquerade which is a week long celebration of all things Luminary. But Winnie is confronted by a masked Diana and charged with an impossible task that threatens everything and everyone Winnie loves.
Against the Boards by Cynthia Gunderson (Kindle)-- My hockey romance for the month. I'm enjoying allowing myself to read a hockey romance every month and keeping this pattern going. There's hockey, there's romance, what's not to love? When Emma's controlling brother Sean tries to tell her who she can and can't date, Emma convinces his teammate Tyler to mess with Sean by pretending they're in a relationship for just one night. I assume that things spin out of control from there and the fake dating continues for longer than just one night. Also, I just now realized I'm reading two books this month with fake dating. You know what? I am not complaining.
Teen Titans: Starfire by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo (New Release)-- After a bit of delay, we're getting the next graphic novel in the Teen Titans series. I don't know anything about Starfire, but we follow Kori Anders who has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and is asked to participate in a clinical trial with her sister that is designed to advance treatments for EDS. But during treatment, Kori begins to discover some strange powers that she's never had before. I enjoy these graphic novels so much and I'm excited to meet a new character and see how she ties into the overarching plot.
Games Untold by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (New Release)-- Am I a sucker for all things Inheritance Games? Abso-fucking-lutely. This is a collection of short stories and novellas in the world of The Inheritance Games. The synopsis on GoodReads includes: this collection "proves that when you love the way Hawthornes love, there is no going back." The story I'm most excited for, of course, is $3CR3T $@NT@. But anything new from this world is going to get read by me. It just is. I love the Hawthornes (and Avery and Libby).

Apollo 8’s “Earthrise” photo sparked a modern Copernican revolution of sorts when Anders and his crewmates returned home, splashing down on December 27th. While the Earth may feel vast, expansive, and blessed with what seems like endless resources, to see the world from this epic 200,000 million mile bird’s-eye view is a humbling experience. We could see how wondrous Earth truly is, and perhaps, how vulnerable it is as well.
Anders described the rising Earth as “a Christmas tree ornament, very fragile…[and seemingly of] a physical insignificance and yet it was our home…” The smallness of the Earth in relation to the universe emphasizes the duty we all share in caring for our one and only home in the face of a cold and infinite universe.
The photo was a catalyst for the founding of the modern environmental movement, and just over one year after “Earthrise” the world celebrated its first Earth Day. 20 million inspired Americans, 10% of the country’s population at the time, participated in demonstrations protesting and spreading awareness about environmental degradation. By the end of the year, the United States government created the Environmental Protection Agency and passed trailblazing environmental legislation like the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, National Environmental Education Act, and more.
William Anders and his photograph lives on through the environmental movement and the ever-growing participation and importance of Earth Day. When the environmental movement faced the dark and challenging dilemma of a global pandemic just weeks before the 50th Earth Day, Earthrise became a beacon of hope to lead environmentalists through a time where taking action felt harder than ever. Earthrise showed that on this island Earth, the only way forward through global crises is to unite for the common good in support of the one planet we all call home.
William Anders’ legacy serves as an inspiration and a constant reminder of our responsibility to protect this fragile planet we call home. His Earthrise photograph showed that sharing a meaningful image can lead to a profound impact.

Anders Week - Event Guidelines
Welcome to Anders Week.
This event will run from the 3rd - 9th of February 2025. And is hosted by @pinkfadespirit and @teine-mallaichte.
We're both huge Anders fans and think there's always room for more of our favourite sewermage in the DA fandom.
The idea of the event is to have a few prompts each day during the first week of February to help inspire the creation of new Anders fanworks. Anyone can take part. All you have to do is post your new works after the event starts, tag us in the post and we'll reblog it.
Our prompts can be found here.
A few Guidelines:
Event Originals: All submissions should be posted after the event start date.
Content Warnings: Use appropriate tags and warnings to ensure a comfortable space for everyone.
Spoiler Warnings: If your work includes spoilers for any Veilguard content, please label it clearly.
Tag Us: Use the hashtags #AndersWeek2025, #AndersWeekRecs, or #AndersWeekHeadcanon so we can find and reblog your posts.
Posting Anywhere: Feel free to share on AO3 or anywhere else - just make sure to link your piece in a Tumblr post so we can reblog.
Support Each Other: Be kind and respectful to other participants.
Prompt Flexibility: Feel free to tackle one or all of the prompts for each day - or interpret the theme however your muse guides you.
No Pressure: You do not have to complete every single prompt. This event is purely for fun , community building, and Anders appreciation.
Other Events: Feel free to combine these prompts with other events.
Timeframe: The prompts are free to be used at any time after the event. However, prompt fills outside the event week may not be reblogged.
No Generative AI: Please do not use AI tools in your submissions.

Note
In addition to Dragon Age Brainrot, I'm also diagnosed with "Cas-Blorbo Brainrot" so I am NOT NARROWING MY CHOICES
For Laurent, Mahanon and Naoise: 19, 35 and 40 HAVE A BLAST
19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?
This was a weirdly phrased question to me so I'm gonna go ahead and answer it the best way that I can.
Mahanon: I really don't know if Mahanon ever had anymore illusions about anything after Adaia died; a loss that early in childhood kind of ruins everything else.
Naoise: He does have to come to terms with his privileges and the way he carries himself throughout Origins. I think getting to see the world beyond the walls of Highever makes him a more empathetic person.
Andrale: He used to be Templar-pilled actually but then Kinloch Hold happened.
35. Do they always rationalize errors? How do they accept disasters and failures?
Mahanon: Mahanon is consistently making the best choices that he can with very little context or information at any given time throughout the events of Origins. When criticized, he tends to lash out; if they don't like the choices that he made, then THEY are welcome to call the shots. As he grows more cynical and jaded, he feels less guilt for making the tough calls and failure is taken in stride so long as he lives to fight another day.
Naoise: Naoise takes setbacks really hard. Although groomed for the teyrnship of Highever, it's a lot different to be on the front lines, calling shots that can put the lives of you and your fellows at risk. Bearing the survivor's guilt of losing his family, making a wrong call can tear him up for weeks.
Andrale: Andrale puts on a facade; although he appears unnerved by any obstacle, he is privately perturbed and at times despondent, depending on the severity of his miscalculation. He is more likely to take personal or romantic matters to heart than matters of logic or strategy.
40. How is their sense of humor? Do they have one?
Mahanon: Mahanon is one for very dry wit or deadpan humor (autistic moment)
Naoise: Naoise likes to bicker and tease and pass quips, on-the-fly back and forth that culminate in killer one-liners that people will snicker about for weeks afterwards.
Andrale: Andrale is someone of subtler amusement, preferring to listen to others than participate, though he does find slapstick comedy amusing (it's not his fault that Anders is too tall and hits his head on every doorway…)

Poll: Help us decide if Handers Exchange 2024 should run!
Hi all,
Mod Reikah is unable to run the Handers Exchange this year, so Mod Hollyand and Mod Storybookhawke would like to gauge interest for a possible exchange later this spring for all Hawke/Anders pairings. Tentative dates are mid-March till mid-May, although this may shift to a few weeks later depending on one of the mods' medical issues...
We would like to get an idea of how many people would sign up if we did run the exchange this year, so please answer our poll!

WIP Wednesday
tagged by the wonderful @fenharel-apologist94 to share something I’m writing.
slowly working on the second chapter of the mistakes fic, where anders wakes up with memories of a past life as andraste on joining with justice. featuring anders/fenris and anders/solas at some point, everything else is up in the air.
chapter 2 preview
These are the things Anders does know:
He knows his hands still catch him off guard. When he spots them in his peripheral vision he half-expects finer bones, darker skin, the scrapes and scars of different life. Some mornings when he first wakes he will stand from bed and almost pitch over, expecting a lower center of gravity. He feels half-a-step removed from his physical body on the worst of days, almost but not quite conscious of his mouth moving, calling for the next patient, working by rote to diagnose and heal.
The first time Lirene catches him working like that, he’s only made aware of her presence by a hand landing on his shoulder.
“-nders, Anders? Are you all right?” The words take too long to sink into his brain, her presence registering as a non-threat and therefore nonexistent until her touch grounds him back into the physical realm of his body. He looks at his too pale, too broad hands and finds them shaking, then back up to Lirene to see her far too focused on him, the hard lines on her face creasing in concern.
“Yes, quite all right,” he replies before Justice burns in his thoughts, censuring the lie. Anders sighs, not sagging into the grip she still has on his arm.
“I’m sure.” Her voice isn’t quite wry, nor tinged with the exasperation he is sure will follow once she figures out exactly how driven he is by the tasks at hand and his purpose in the city. He sends one last spark of healing through his patient’s previously broken limb and instructs the woman to stay off it for a week. By the hungry look in her eye he doubts she’ll remain off it for even three days in a need to get back to work, but nonetheless he allows Lirene to tug him away, her hand never leaving his arm as she leads him away from the line.
It’s not often Lirene makes her way to Darktown herself, and whatever brought her her must be urgent. He blinks, and she’s brought him to the alcove he set aside for himself, kept private by a hanging moth-eaten sheet. She chivvies him past it.
“-tells me you’ve been healing for three days straight! I didn’t send people your way so you can kill yourself healing them, you know. Anders, look at me.” He blinks again, looks up from his handsbroad and no longer clean after setting the woman’s leg, he needs to wash them—and meets her gaze once more. She stares at him a moment before her brows unknit and she sighs.
“I see you’re a bit beyond me at the moment, so I will take the opportunity to tell you that you are a very stupid man, and I will tell you again tomorrow. Now come, yes, sit down. Don’t worry about the line, you’re of no use to anyone there if you’re dead.”
