DOWN ON ME — RC.

rafe’s been watching you all night. you’ve been dancing with your girls, sipping an iced drink through a straw, laughing when it sloshes and spills, smiling while licking some of the liquid from your fingers.

he doesn’t know how long it’s actually been, since the pretty blue of your dress caught his eye earlier tonight. you’re still dancing, skin probably warm and flushed from the alcohol and the movement. you’re pressed in between two other girls, moving in a way that he really thinks you should stop doing before he loses whatever remains of his self-control. the hem of your dress swishes around your thighs, your hips with a mind of their own and not going unnoticed by any of the other idiots nearby you. 

rafe’s stared a couple of them off already, gaze hyper-focusing on the overexcited boys until they get the message and walk away. you haven’t noticed, neither have your friends, that’s why you’re all still having so much fun, unbothered by anything else. it’s good. rafe wants to keep it that way, just minus a friend or two of yours.

rafe keeps watching, looking at the two girls with you motioning towards the bathroom. you shake your head, taking a drink of theirs into your hand to watch while they walk away and leave you by yourself. he must not be the only one watching, since another guy heads towards you the second your friends are out of sight. it’s some drunken idiot, he can tell already, and your eyes dart around as soon as he approaches you. your buzz is ruined, the guy getting close to you and asking you something that’s clearly making you uncomfortable, from the way your pretty face contorts and your body tries to move away in the crowd.

rafe was going to wait a moment, just hold on and see how you react, but he finds it hard to wait another second when the guy puts an arm on you to keep you from turning away. he pushes his way through the crowd, his beer abandoned on a table, to where you are.

it’s hard to hear anything over the bass and the music vibrating through the room, but you pick up on a few things. the cute guy you think might have been looking at you—or maybe one of your friends, you had sadly determined when he never came over—grabs the boy who won’t leave you alone by the arm. 

“c’mon, get the fuck outta here. she’s not talkin’ to you.” your face overheats—he’s not asking, he’s demanding, and you hadn’t even asked for help. he must have just known, you think in a drunken state, surprisingly pleased.

“who the fuck are you? i can do what i want-” the boy tightens his grip on your wrist, and the stranger yanks him away from you further, your drinks falling and spilling onto the ground when he finally lets go of you. 

you can’t hear the rest of the conversation, with the boy defending you standing in front, covering you completely. whatever he says works, since the other guy stalks away, muttering something under his breath. the boy who helped you, saved you—rafe, as you’d come to learn—spins around to grab him for whatever he’d said, but you place your hand on his shoulder, trying to get his attention so he doesn’t follow him. 

you don’t know what rafe might have done to that boy, but you know that you don’t wanna find out. if it came to a fight, rafe would win, and you seemed to understand that as much as the other boy had, who completely disappeared.

your dress is wet from where your vodka lemonade spilled, tinges of pink from your friend’s drink too. you thought your buzz had completely dissipated, but some of the rush comes back at the way rafe is looking at you. you stare up at him with big eyes, frozen in place for a few moments while the club and all the people continue around the two of you.

rafe picks up your wrist, turning your arm to observe a red mark from the other boy’s grip on you.

“he hurt you?” rafe says, leaning in close to speak into your ear, which makes an entire quiver run through your body, butterflies floating around in your stomach. your brain feels fuzzy. he pulls away to look at you and you shake your head. even if that boy had hurt you, you can’t feel anything but a tingly excitement in all your limbs. “good.”

“thank you. for helping me. you didn’t have to-”

“it’s nothin’. he was an asshole.” you nod in agreement. rafe looks down, raking in your tiny dress from up close. he takes the stained hem between his fingers, rubbing the fabric, barely brushing your skin. everything tenses in anticipation and your eyes flutter shut when he leans in again.. “let me get you another drink,” he says into your ear again. you nod again, following him away from the crowd and towards the bar. 

everything’s quieter away from the speakers, and you can feel your heart thudding in your chest despite putting some distance between yourself and the bass.

“what’d you drinkin’?” rafe asks, and you stare up at him, silent. the two of you stay like that for a moment before he laughs. “asked you a question, kid.”

“oh. sorry. what was that?”

he turns to the bartender and while you keep staring, lips parting and having trouble catching your breath. your friends are long forgotten, the drink you were meant to be holding on to a memory of the past. rafe hands you a cup of ice water, and takes a swig of his beer while you take a long drink.

“thank you. sorry about that.” rafe shrugs apathetically.

“not your fault. your friends shouldn’t have left.”

“oh, but i-” he looks down at you and your sentence dies on your tongue. “you’re right.”

“can’t just leave you alone like that. these guys are animals. gotta be careful, right? keep you safe.” you nod. you think you should hesitate, but there still must be a little tipsiness left in you.

“will you? keep me safe?”

“yeah kid. already did.” your face feels warmer still, burning to the touch. 

“thank you, rafe.”

“want me to drop you home?” you shake your head.

“do you want to dance with me?”

you end up following rafe by the hand back to the dance floor, your water and his beer left on the counter. with your hands around his neck, you go back to dancing how you were before, but it’s completely different—your heart racing, the feel of rafe’s hands on your hips making your brain go hay-wire. down on me blares loudly from the speakers, while rafe spins you around so your back is pressed against him. you keep dancing, inhibitions a little more gone, wondering if you’re being far too forward. 

that thought goes away when rafe grips your jaw in his hand and brings himself down into a kiss, lips pressing together while you keep swaying your hips. rafe pulls way finally, pressing a kiss to your cheek and then your ear, talking softly to you in a way that made your panties feel uncomfortably wet.

“stop. or we’re gonna have a problem.” you giggle against him, feeling him laugh against your skin. you don’t stop, nor do you want to, but you’re forced to, with a pull on your arm from your friend, claiming the uber was here. you get pulled away from rafe without much of a choice, waving goodbye before you can even get him anything—one last kiss, your phone number, another thank you. 

you get in the car upset—trying to explain that you were actually hitting it off with someone for the first time. your mind goes blank trying to explain what rafe was like, so you shut up. the incident seems too intimate to share, like it should just be for the two of you.

you wonder how you’ll find him again while rafe gets in his truck, following your uber home.

Itachi Uchiha had fallen in love with the daughter of the clan's rival. His obsession was perhaps noticeable to some, perhaps not.

That didn't matter anymore.

He didn't remember when exactly he saw her.

Or was in October?

The only thing sure is that it was in a photograph while he was checking the remaining members of the pathetic rival clan.

Very few members; his rival had been greatly reduced. Pathetic, just pathetic.

And then that was when he saw her, and everything changed.

She was beautiful. She IS beautiful.

So beautiful that it made his breath catch in his throat.

Again, that didn't matter anymore.

When he found out that his rival's daughter rebelled and decided to leave the dark world of the mafia, he was shocked; however, that only made him even more obsessed with the woman.

Without her realizing it or knowing, he sent several of his subjects to take pictures of her.

He told himself over and over that it was for her well-being.

At least that's what he told himself so he wouldn't feel so bad about vandalizing his beloved's personal space.

Until the threats came.

Like flies, weak and pathetic men approached his beautiful woman to try to flirt with her.

He could see it—how they looked at her more than necessary while she waited on them, oblivious to their intentions.

Of course, his beautiful angel was innocent; she didn't know that those weak men looked at her in a way that was inappropriate for a lady like her.

How dare they?

Maybe it was his fault that the male clients of her work decreased, but... they deserved it.

So two long years passed in which he let his beautiful Angel build her new life, and meanwhile he quietly planned in secret how to take her and make her his.

The plan to kidnap her was on his mind for a while, but he quickly discarded it when he thought that the head of the rival clan was surely monitoring her and would get angry if Itachi did something so risky.

He wasn't that cruel either. He already traumatized her by sending her a hand from one of the men who decided to touch her in a box; he didn't want to corrupt his angel.

His fingers moved in desperation; if only she wasn't the daughter of that stupid man, he would already have her in his arms and jumping on his hard cock until she couldn't take it anymore, and he would fuck her without caring that she was already sensitive.

And Itachi wasn't an impulsive idiot. Of course not; he was a smart person. He wouldn't let his desires take control of him, though the temptation to give them free rein was deliciously tempting.

The Uchiha would take it slow.

He would let the woman fall in love with him at her own pace, and he would take on the role of a businessman in the meantime.

He would allow the woman to navigate the finely crafted lies he had created as a backstory. He would allow her to look at and appreciate the good part of him, just the kind and gentle part, permanently if he could.

He would play out all her fantasies of being rescued as long as she stayed by his side.

He would let the moth get close to the lit candle, and when he knew the beautiful woman wouldn't be able to turn back...

When his lid is blown.

— Oh, hello, how can I help you? —

Punch-Out!! Underground Circuit ranks (plus headcanons)

#4 Heike Kagero:

Heike is a Trans NB (They/Them) icon and anyone who objects can fight me (but not irl my mom would stop that from happening).

Rumor has it that they are related to Now Major League Champion Piston Hondo but both parties have denied this claim (still doesn't explain why the two share the same exact last name).

When joining the Underground Circuit, Heike brought in a couple cans of hairspray that they use both in and out of the ring. One would be used to harden their hair while the other would be used to temporarily stun an opponent.

Heike's main reason for joining the Underground Circuit was due to generalized transphobia among the higher ups at the WVBA.

Under the right amount of lighting, Heike's hair actually looks more violet than grey (this came from me being a bit color blind with shades of grey).

#3 Mad Clown:

He's been in the WVBA the longest out of any of the members of the Underground Circuit so he knows his fair share of ways to break the rules.

He's the only straight/cis member in the circuit but God help you if you tried to be homophobic/transphobic to any of his fellow boxers while he's in the room.

You remember that joke in part 2 of Bumbles Mcfumbles video "How many rules does each Punch-Out!! boxer break" about Mad Clown Filling his juggling balls with concrete? Although they aren't actually filled with concrete, they are filled with marbles that become tripping hazards when one of the juggling balls are broken.

Despite his grumpy attitude, it's more like him being a grumpy old grandpa, which just makes any conversations with him all the more funny. Especially when you learn that he filled in the roll of grandpa to Sparky when she first became a part of the now defunct Women's League.

He joined the Underground Circuit because he wouldn't have any other options for boxing (it totally was NOT because Sparky offered him a roll).

#2 Masked Muscle:

Was a part of the Wrestling division of the WVBA (WVWA: World Video Wrestling Association) but like the Women's League, it was shut down for mostly unknown reason (likely due to low ratings and an attempt to cut costs).

Doesn't actually use any labels for sexuality but we can say for certain he got with Don's now ex (Carmen) after Career Mode in Wii. And just like that, Masked Muscle accidentally became a part of my Mac was nearly jumped in the locker room when he returned to the WVBA.

No one has actually seen what he looks like without his mask. This has led to Aran making an on going joke that Masked Muscle was born with his mask welded to his face.

Along with using his spit, he just full on breaths poison and whatever is in an air freshener can to blind his opponents. This time he's not even subtle about it.

You cannot convince me that he would not slam his ring side chair at his opponent when they're down on the ground.

#1 Aran Ryan:

Suggested the idea of the Underground Circuit to Sparky one day, after finding her fighting some people in white and gold suits in an alleyway.

Used to be the leader of the Underground Circuit but lost a bet with Sparky and now he's at rank 1.

If you asked him if he was gay he would just reply with "hella" before stabbing you in the kidney (I hope you know someone willing to donate theirs to you).

When you first fight him he doesn't actually break any rules. But when you knock him to the ground for the first time and it wasn't an automatic KO, he returns to his old ways of cheating, adding a horseshoe to his boxing glove flail.

He takes on his old appearance from Career Mode but with the addition of fabric patches being sewn to both his boxing gloves and shorts (if you look close enough you can even find a few on his flail).

(Siren Sparky and Little Mac will get their own headcanons/tid bits (in Sparky's case) page soon since Sparky is an OC and Mac isn't actually in this Circuit)

my campaign hiatus has gone on for too long so to cope ive combined my interests at their maximum potency and had some dnd-strawhats thoughts

thoughts in depth under read more... :)!

this is SO self indulgent. their designs literally did not change. but i am a firm believer that dnd doesnt have to be european high fantasy. and also one piece literally IS fantasy. no changes are necessary to fit into dnd. ive already imagined plenty of campaign/oneshot ideas inspired by one piece. so this was basically just an exercise of trying to replicate their canon abilities in dnd 5e as much as possible without totally homebrewing everything. well. aside from luffy. you just cant take away or change his stretching.

LUFFY: (human monk. drunken master subclass. outlander)

the only plain human of the crew to balance out with the fact that he still has rubber powers. obviously a monk. but drunken master subclass specifically because i think the flavor(not the fact that its about being a drunkard) and abilities both fit him really well. this line in the subclass' flavortext especially fits him: "A drunken master often enjoys playing the fool to bring gladness to the despondent or to demonstrate humility to the arrogant, but when battle is joined, the drunken master can be a maddening, masterful foe."

ZORO: (tiefling fighter. samurai subclass. bounty hunter)

a fighter with the samurai subclass is so very incredibly obvious... but i actually had a lot of fun geeking out while comparing the abilities to what he can do in canon; Fighting Spirit, Rapid Strike, and Strength Before Death especially! tiefling is also pretty on the nose for his demon pirate hunter shtick and asura form, but i thought he'd be really human-passing for a tiefling and theorized about his tail getting cut off at some point or another before joining the strawhats. initially wasnt gonna give him a feat, but i gave sanji a feat so i thought itd be unfair to not give him one as well, so sentinel fits the bill pretty well i think!

NAMI: (tabaxi rogue. arcane trickster subclass. criminal)

cat burglar -> full grown literal humanoid cat. this one is INCREDIBLY self indulgent... i love... cats... theres nothing deeper to this and no other reasoning. i took cat burglar and ran with it. can you tell that i love izutsumi dungeon meshi? rogue for the aforementioned burglar-ing as well, and the arcane trickster subclass for when she picks up climatact! the mage hand will be very useful for her pickpocketing. in the future as she levels up with timeskip, i can totally see her multiclassing into wizard as well! weather wizard!

USOPP: (lightfoot halfling artificer. artillerist subclass. urchin)

I HAD SO MUCH FUN THINKING ABOUT HIS CHARACTER SHEET. halfling's Naturally Stealthy ability lets him hide behind his crewmates since theyre (almost) all bigger than him, so its perfect for hiding behind zoro or sanji all the time. Lucky is also perfect for him, and I think Brave fits pretty well too when he puts on the sogeking mask. artillerist artificer is also very fun! tinkering and making magic items for his crew, and i think Eldritch Canon or Arcane Firearm could both be easily reflavored as kabuto or any of his inventions. for emphasizing his sniper-ness, the spell sniper feat was also necessary. i think hes my favorite of all the concepts. big ears and long nose combo is so cute to me.

SANJI: (half-elf monk. drunken master subclass. guild artisan (cook!))

race was mostly based on vibes i wont lie. squints. and that vinsmoke balogna or whatever too ig. but mostly vibes. along with the idea that i think a dwarf zeff raising him would be really funny and cute. monk is also obvious, and same subclass as luffy for mostly the same reasons. though the flavor fits him much less, i think the abilities still fit him perfectly, and this blurb specifically; "Your martial arts technique mixes combat training with the precision of a dancer." i really wanted to give him a different subclass from luffy, but i dislike all the other monk subclasses a lot and i found none of them fit him as well anyways, so to try and give them SOME differences, i gave him the crusher feat.

CHOPPER: (awakened deer(shifter statblock) cleric. life subclass. hermit)

this ones definitely a mouthful im sorry. awakened deer for obvious reasons, but due to magic instead of devil fruit stuff. when i was struggling with his race, i looked a lot at shifter because of his forms, but it occurred to me that itd be super cool if he could shift between all of the different shifter options instead of being stuck with just one to replicate his rumble balls. something like heavy point/guard point=beasthide, horn point/arm point(?maybe?)=longtooth, walk point/jumping point=swiftstride, and brain point=wildhunt. hed definitely need some kind of nerf though to balance out that homebrew... and cleric for class. duh.

ROBIN: (high elf wizard. order of scribes subclass. criminal)

robin is definitely the one i struggled the most with just because of her class. elf came pretty easily- shes very elegant and i think shed look cute with super long ears- and i landed on high elf instead of wood elf for the int-based abilities. i was really on the fence between sorcerer and wizard for her because i knew shed be a full spellcaster, but i didnt feel that any of the subclasses really fit her. i ended up going with wizard for order of the scribes since it focuses on texts and knowing everything. but also because robin with a flying talking sentient book would be crazy cool. it could also be similar to how she spawns mouths and eyes places to talk to or watch people. my "fuck it, why not. this would be rad. its my house" mindset kicked in with her i will admit. also the One with the Word ability made me cackle out loud when i read it. thats the funniest ability ever. anyways, i cant really think of a way to replicate her powers, but maybe we could just reflavor a bunch of spells to be her limbs or clutch; hold person, maximillian's earthen grasp, or evard's black tentacles. thatd probably work okay, and theres a handful of spells to replicate her ability to spawn eyes or mouths. unrelated, but i imagine nico olvia to be a drow. why? her hair is white. i am a simple man!

redesigning star dresses part 1!

keep this in mind i love the og stardresses! i just wanted to challenge myself and i’m an inspiring fashion designer!!! my goal was to create dresses that reflect the spirits and u could easily match them up.

these were my initial sketches, i wanted every dress/outfit to have a different colour and silhouette to make them more recognisable.

aries ~

- pink was the obvious choice for a colour. I didn’t want to use any major black like in the og design because aries design is so light and bright!

- i really think the og stardress hair is lacking. A fun fluffy 80s hair adds to the whole sheep aesthetic and creates a different silhouette to other designs.

- the 80s hair also inspired a more 80s look with fluffy legwarmers and big hoop earrings.

- i also wanted to bring in those pink pompoms on the side of aries dress so i made them star shaped and put them in lucy’s hair

taurus ~

- why put her in a bikini if she’s a cowboy??? this haunts me everyday.

- I couldn’t put her in mainly black and white cos that’s virgo i comprised and landed on a brown.

- for inspiration it was pretty obvious to go with a cowboys and the wild west! i always disliked the one leg pants her og design has so i modified it to a cut out.

- her og design was a mix of the aquarius and scorpio one and it always didn’t stand out to me, so i think by exaggerating the cowboy aesthetic it stands out much more.

gemini ~

- her og design is actually one my favs. so i really only made minor changes

- the colours stood out against other dresses and were easily identified as gemini. the dual colour symmetrical dress is a great way to reflect the double spirit.

- Gemini is a pretty symbol spirit so to reflect them i used circular shapes and organic lines. i changed the head piece mainly because i struggled drawing it but i realised it made the design too top heavy anyways.

- i extended the dress width and length mainly for silhouette reasons (she wears so many skin tight dresses) as well as to give a nod to the dresses the alternate geminis wear.

cancer ~

- my issue with cancer star dress isn’t the dress itself. I actually love the dress in the manga. it’s the colour. WHY IS GREEN?!?

- if it weren’t for the symbol i wouldn’t be able to match this dress with cancers design, so it had to change.

- other than that there’s no major differences, the ribbon tie is meant to resemble scissors, i love the claw shape hair ties in the og design so i brought them back and i brought the stripes in cancers top to her bow.

leo ~

- i was inspired by beauty and the beast, in the movie the beast kinda looks like lion.

- i swapped the yellow and black in the og design since it has a pretty similar colour story to virgos dress. The og kinda gets lost next to leo since the black doesn’t have variation and leo is in a deep black too.

- i wanted to make her hair bigger like a lions mane and curled around her face.
