Mat's Gem OC Masterpost

Thank you very much to my friend Isa for helping to get me into this series.

After obsessing over HNK for a while, I have come to create my own little gem ocs that live rent free in my head constantly, and I would like to share them all with you today

All sketches made by Isa, who you might be able to commission of she has the time, go ahead and ask her if you're interested

Triphane:

Hardness: 7

Triphane is a very serious Gem, who used to be put on Patrol with Heliotrope, before Heliotrope went missing in action.

After being paired up with different gems, and many of those teamups failing, Sensei made the executive decision of pairing them up with someone who needs a role model like Triphane

Parisite:

Hardness: 4.5

Parisite is more of an unambitious Gem, sort of getting looked down upon by many other gems for this, as they would rather just sit aside and write their stories. Having a difficult time even finding a job suited for them, Sensei decided the best decision would be to pair Parisite up with someone who could help increase their ambition.

Before Bloodstone went missing, Parisite had latched onto them, often pestering Bloodstone about their stories and books.

Heliotrope (Bloodstone):

Hardness: 7

Bloodstone was considered one of the best fighters, until one fateful day the Lunarians had gained the advantage against Triphane and Bloodstone, leading to Bloodstone's disappearance.

I had a very weird dream this morning about a webcomic about an older goth guy and his 2 adoptive “ant girl” daughters.

The goth dude kinda looked like if you combined young Trent Reznor and young Peter Murphy. The ant girls were kinda like cat girls but with ants instead of cats, like they looked mostly human but with ant features. They were about the size of the average teenage human. I remember one of the ant girls was like a red ant with long red hair and whatnot, and the other was a black ant with shorter black hair. I think the red girl had some kind of backstory about how she was a parasitic ant larvae that was sent to infiltrate a different species ant colony (???) but failed and got abandoned and that’s how goth guy adopted her. Idk about the other girl’s backstory or the goth guy’s backstory or what any of their names were.

The comic was REALLY popular online, esp tumblr and Reddit for some reason. On Reddit the red girl was more popular but on tumblr people were REALLY obsessed with the goth guy, I think my subconscious invented a new tumblr sexyman.

Now that I see it. I think the game would have been a lot better if it was centered around the Suicide Squad helping the Justice League in the crisis.

THIS IS ALL JUST MY OPINION

Like Brainiac comes to invade earth so the League is doing all they can to stop him, however with their core focus on the ship and keeping city damage to a minimum they cannot keep an eye on the petty crimes or the stray monsters that come from the ship — that’s where Task Force X comes in. While the Justice League fights the good fight, the Suicide Squad is made to handle clean up duty for shortened sentences. Fighting street goons, forced to rescue hostages, cleaning out “restricted zones” over run by the enemy.

Later on as the game progresses, maybe throw in a couple times where Task Force X saves the League members. Brainiac has got them pinned some way shape or form, extracting dna to strengthen his army so now they need rescuing. Maybe getting personal missions with each League member that needs you to fly solo with your favorite character. Earning the League’s trust and assistance along the way.

Then the final boss reveals about the other universes’ Brianiacs that won’t stop until this planet is destroyed so now Task Force X gets “promoted” to an auxiliary force that is “seasonally” shipped out to help the League fight within these other universes. They have to fight the other villains too in these other worlds they travel, then once they beat them they are brought into the Task Force. Fighting various corrupted league members throughout the different worlds as the game expands instead of doing it all at once.

This way at least they would have ample time to give better justice to killing the Justice League.

Guess who got their first antisemitic hate message in a long while! It’s me!

Even though it doesn’t deserve it, I’m going to give this a full rundown.

“Epstein”- look. Epstein was a piece of shit. However his name is a dogwhistle for both Jews and pedophiles (another thing they accuse Jews of). They also use him as a stand in for “the elites” which is, you guessed it, another way for them to say Jews.

“There’s nothing wrong with being antisemitic”-obvious troll. Yes there is.

“You need to be more respectful to whites”-and this is where Jews not fitting into (specifically American but western in general) racial frameworks comes into play. Depending on who you ask, Jews are either subhuman non-white parasites, or we’re overprivledged white supremacists. The truth is that white-passing Jews (because there are so many Jews that aren’t white passing!) are subjected to conditional whiteness, and are equally victims of white supremacy.

“Stop acting like a parasite”- Jews as parasites is an old trope, going back to early Christianity. It was also very much popularized by the nazis. We are also frequently compared to vermin like rats and insects, as well as dogs and snakes.

Round pearls are so sexy tho, that’s such a sexy shape for a thing that looks like that. There are many things about pearls I do not understand

perliculture is so advanced. i thought those fun-shaped “freshwater” coin pearls were fakes or cut to shape but they really get mussels to grow these

some look messier than others with thicker nacre but even the neat ones occasionally have nacre bumps.
