Paradise (Il Paradiso delle Signore) (s1 e10, "Like a Family") / Alice Torriani as Andreina Mandelli

Season 1 of this show is explicitly set in 1956. The color gradations recall Katherine Arnold's dress from Bells Are Ringing, but note the change in silhouette between 1956 and 1960: this dress has a flared skirt, probably ballerina length, while the later gown is form-fitted and floor-length. Andreina's gown is also broken up visually by the attractive black lace overlay on the bodice, while Katherine's gown presents a unified look from top to bottom. Both are gorgeous variations on a theme, in my opinion!
