I want to laugh when I see people criticizing Dramione ships, while shipping either Drarry or Pansmione...

I would like to point out that I have nothing against these ships, on the contrary I like them both a lot (Carry On, my beloved trilogy) !

But... at what time can you afford to make fun of Dramione shippers because Dramione would be too toxic, but on the other hand, ship equivalents such as Drarry or Pansmione ?

I hear some say that it is also because of the Dramione community in general that it is the most toxic ship. Because the community linked to Dramione would be too unbearable as well as a place of hatred (notably because of the treatment of Ron's character by some).

But in fact, every fandom has its share of toxicity and extremists. Not all fandom is like that. Generalizing a group is never good.

Not all Dramione stans hate Ron, nor spit on his character, and therefore hate Romione (for example, I don't hate the character of Ron or the Romione couple, even if I find that the relationship could have been better written, it works very well in the universe of the books).

Not to mention that apparently, we love creating a Draco that doesn't exist (or a Hermione), and that as a result, we are not real fans of the character(s) ; While I see tons of Dramione shippers, including myself, who enjoy reading fanfictions about them that is actually closest to the canon characters from the books and movies.

So, we need to stop with all this generality after a while.

My completed bind of HEX by maidenmothercrone! This one gave me a little bit of an ass kicking bc I just had to gild every chapter heading, which ended up being like 200 chapters in all. But I’m so glad I stuck it out!!! This is one of m favorite timeline mash up’s ever and the way the author handles all of the plot lines is legit beautiful

Summary:

For the ttpd hp fest I picked the song "But Daddy I Love Him" because I think it's the most Albus-Scorbus and Harry song to ever exist.

I'm a firm believer that Albus was the biggest daddy's boy out there, before he started Hogwarts and all the bullying started, and not a day goes by that he doesn't miss the relationship he used to have with his dad but they're too alike and terrible with their feelings so they don't know how to fix it. When Harry, who had slowly started to accept Scorpius, backtracks after learning the two boys are dating, it leads to a much needed conversation between the father-son duo.

(Fic mostly set in canon but without the whole time-travel adventure, you can still choose to read it that way though).

Mcgonagall thinking it's a bad idea to let the Dursleys take care of Harry, and deciding to raise him herself

Hermione finding a slytherin girl (Pansy ? Astoria ? Millicent ?) crying in the bathroom because her parents want to force her to become a deatheater : Hermione would immediately decide to help her and they could become (girl)friends

Hermione having a huge crush on Fleur in 4th year (stuttering, blushing,...) and Harry and Ron trying to help her

Draco not helping Umbridge and joining Dumbledore's Army because he doesn't want to fail Defence Against the Dark Arts

Dudley having magic and going to Hogwarts with Harry (maybe the Durleys would kick both of them out and they could stay at Hogwarts all year long ?) : he could have some personnal growth and become Harry's friend ?

"Be myself." Draco shrugged moving his food around his plate with his fork.

"That's what she called you to her office for? To tell you to be yourself? Is she kidding?" Pansy hissed, keeping her voice low. She had been driving herself crazy wondering why McGonagall would call a Slytherin to her office.

All the current Eighth years had gotten generic letters letting them know everyone was welcome to come back. Pansy had zero intention of returning, she burned the letter. Draco had come through the floo later that same day and told her he had every intention to return. She told him he was crazy and tried to convince him not to but he wouldn't budge. He said he had to, it was the only way he could get a job and live a normal life. Pansy told him normal life was over rated and there was no way either of them would ever be able to live that way, normal. He didn't listen, he sent a response letter saying he would be returning and so Pansy did as well. She couldn't let him face this alone.

He shrugged again and took a bite of the roast. "Basically."

"Stop making that gesture it's so churlish!" She said gripping her fork and then dropping it on the table.

"Haven't the elves here ever heard of garnishes?" She said and crossed her arms with a sniff.

Draco looked up and raised an eyebrow at her. She huffed "It's just… Doesn't she understand we… well we can't be ourselves." She said picking up her fork again.

"No we surely cant." Draco agreed in a solemn tone glancing at the Gryffindor table. She decided to sneak a peek herself and she immediately found the brown curls she always found. Hermione was smiling looking at that wretched red head. She snapped her head back. It was something she had locked away a long time ago. The reason she could never be what her parents wanted. The reason she could never be herself. She shook her head "No we surely cant."

Alright, here we are! 15th and final chapter of Perfectionism and Appearances is up! I had a total blast writing my first Hermione/Pansy fic, and I'm hoping to get around to the sequel sometime in 2025. Thanks to everyone who has read and/or interacted with this fic, I really appreciate it :)

Story Summary: Newly appointed Prefect Hermione Granger is steadfast in accomplishing the long-term goals she's set for herself. She's dating her best friend Ron, is very busy preparing for O.W.L.s and completing Prefect duties, and certainly doesn't have time to be bullied by Pansy Parkinson, who is clearly determined to make her life as difficult as possible.

Hermione lets out a surprised squeak as she is tugged into an alcove without warning on her way to the library. Pansy’s lips are on hers in an instant and Hermione immediately feels as though she is both floating and falling as Pansy’s fingers tangle in her hair.

This had been going on for the past week ever since Hermione had returned Pansy’s cloak. Flirtatious glances across the great hall that have Hermione’s face heating and secret snogging sessions in dark corridors that leave her lips tingling and her body aching for more.

���Pansy, wait–” Hermione tries, only to have her words swallowed by the wet heat of Pansy’s mouth. “We need to–”

Trying and failing again, Hermione takes control of the kiss with a low noise of annoyance. She pushes Pansy back into the opposite wall and kisses her fiercely, fingers digging into her arms, holding her still. Their teeth clash and the air around them becomes electric. With difficulty Hermione pulls away, breathing heavily.

“You’re sexy when you’re determined.” Pansy smirks, pressing forward against Hermione’s hold until their bodies are flush.

“You’re bleeding,” Hermione murmurs, eyes  fixed on a drop of blood on Pansy’s lower lip, no doubt the result of their rather enthusiastic snogging. Her hand moves without thought, cupping Pansy’s jaw gently and swiping away the bead of blood with the pad of her thumb.

Pansy’s eyes are half-lidded when Hermione meets them again. Hermione’s breath hitches as Pansy sucks her thumb into her wicked mouth and Hermione’s world narrows down to the glint of Pansy’s green eyes and the slick warmth of her tongue swirling around her finger.
