for anyone who has ever seen someone claim pansexual was coined on social media by teenagers in the early 2000s, the 2010s, and even in the past few years, and believed it or wondered if it’s true, or known it’s not true and been annoyed by the misinformation, this article is for you!

after listing out all of the claims i’ve seen, i succinctly debunk them by laying out a brief overview of pansexual’s history dating back to the 1960s, both as a term generally indicating universal appeal/inclusion and a term indicating sexual freedom/attraction to all genders. i include a look at pansexual’s use specifically within queer spaces, with a focus on bisexual spaces, as well.

i also touch briefly on omnisexual and polysexual existing in similar contexts to pansexual dating back to the 1960s. and finally, i discuss a little bit about how when, where, and by whom a label is created doesn’t determine the validity or usefulness of it, because these claims come with the implication that new labels, labels created by kids, and labels originating on social media aren’t legit forms of queer expression and identification.

Sulfur Pool

Since the Pan-Tamriel event promotes fishing by curating trophy fish drops, I wanted to show one of the most useful furnishings you can get – the Sulfur Pool – in-situ.

Don't mind how it looks in the preview! This pool is one of the too-few natural, clear water items we have, and was the only one earnable / gold-buyable until U44 gave us the Sky Spirits reflection Pool.

(Not counting the Firesong Spring, Basalt because it isn't clear; the saturated blue color looks cartoonish in most situations. A few fountains can also be disguised to create natural-looking water features, the ones suited for that are all Crown/Crate items.)

It's easy to blend the Sulfur Pool together with rocks and waterfalls to create natural-looking water features. Here's a few cobbles I've made:

Been going through your tags trying to find an explanation (after I found your blog looking up Captain Hook), but I'm not quite sure where the dislike for the D+ 2023 film comes from. Granted, I've little familiarity with the book, and most of the hate I'd seen thrown its way was in regards to its Tinkerbell (for exactly the reasons you'd assume with the internet), but I remember enjoying it, mostly for Peter, Hook, and Tiger Lily. It seems the issue stems from Wendy's character: what, might I ask, was the major change?

So firstly, it was a play, and then it was a book. The book has more detail and is by the same person who created the play, therefore it's more fun to read than the play. The good news is, I don't actually have to go into detail about this because you can just read the book and you'll know what I was talking about. Read the first three chapters, nay, the first few pages, and you will see that Disney+'s film was the farthest cry it could be. If you want some opinions, I'll take the rare opportunity to indulge:

I really don't care about Tink in the 2023 film. Tinker Bell does not have to look any specific way apart from being no bigger than your fist, slightly inclined to an hourglass figure (the only real physical descriptions of her in the original) and making a sound like the sound of bells when she speaks. She can look any way apart from that; it's open to the imagination. She's a fairy. There were some interesting moments dialogue-wise with Hook in the Disney+ film. The rest of the movie is garbage from start to finish. But if you have no familiarity with the source material, you won't understand the hate the film rightly gets (it does not get enough). As for Wendy, my favorite character, this film is not about the same person. This film depicts a girlboss™ in a nightgown. That's not Wendy. Wendy is actually strong, because she's soft, and compassionate, and mother material. But in a movie like the 2023 film, in a Neverland like the one in the 2023 film, there's no room for girls like that. We can only have strong, independent nothings. Little boys like Peter and his friends and dirty vicious men like Hook and his crew need a little girl like the real Wendy. She comes to Neverland and changes start happening. Neverland functions essentially the same way all the time, and then the Darlings show up. Wendy's influence affects changes in Peter and in Hook that directly lead to a final confrontation between the two, which is something that had not happened for who-knows-how-long, and which needed to happen. I could go on. I could talk about Wendy and Peter Pan as a story forever and ever, because it's my favorite, but I don't need to say more because if you just read the book and broaden your horizons, you'll immediately get what people are talking about. Even Walt's first foray into Peter Pan adaptations understood the story better than this live-action mess.

Started in Cyrodiil:

These two scared me a bit, NGL. They stood behind me for couple of minutes so I thought they could be enemy spies and all their enemy-alliance friends would run over the hill to gank me. But no, they fished!

After that I decided to put on my stupid fishing outfit. For the vibes and, you know, in case murderous PVPers look at outfits before they decide to kill :)

Fishing at the end of the world. In more ways than one, maybe.

And on and on we went...

I wasn't going to do Master Angler; I don't care about the boat (U45 boat is better), dye, title, nor about achievements for their own sake.

But totally succumbed to FOMO on the last day of the event. I tried one hole, just to see if it was really that easy. It was. So, "might as well do Cyrodiil at least..."

There was also a small weird little part of my brain that wondered "What if they add a housing feature like fishing, but it requires you to have this stupid achievement... and they didn't tell us in advance. That would be rude."

All of which led to doing the WHOLE THING, completed with 6 minutes left. Insane, not worth it, don't recommend.

But also exemplified "It's not about not the destination, but the journey... and the other well-dressed Khajiits you meet along the way!" (That's how it goes, right?)
