Even More Things That Happen in Pale

A main character has to flee from a dangerous stinkbomb made from a dead badger with a rapidly-inflating condom sticking out of its mouth, which seems to detonate when it pops.

A conspiracy theory YouTuber is so far up her own ass that magic doesn't work on her, and she is sent to unwittingly harass some magical girls and inadvertently helps a bunch of monsters run amok in their town.

A teenager debates turning into a cat to get away from the ghost of a child-abuser, but realizes that would be a bad idea because the ghost was an animal-abuser as well.

A girl covered in eyeballs shows up, confirms that she doesn't eat babies, is immediately obsessed with a magic ring, then swiftly runs off upon seeing evidence that the ring is cursed.

The protagonist uses lewd sketches to hire goblins to hide evidence from the police.

The protagonist teams up with an embodiment of war to kidnap a racist and return her to the evil wizard landlord.

Once again: this was just one chapter.

My Pale hot take is that Lucy should've done more fucked up and evil curses.

Early Lucy had this creative and spiteful side of her character that I found pretty compelling. It falls off pretty fast, and I get why, but I'm wistful for a version of Pale where the trio gets to be messy.

When i read pact by far my favourite parts were blacks lambs blood and that one chapter from the implementum textbook. This means when i finally read pale i was fucking ecstatic. I don’t even know if pale is good i just know that i was 100% the target audience for it. Likewise i don’t think pact is bad necessarily but i am absolutely mentally incapable of getting any enjoyment out of reading it because of the way it’s written. A tragedy but at least i get to read pale
