so tonight at DND my DM mega killed me by taking me down to negative my entire max health but i got her back because in the next fight i two tapped her 188 health boss monster with a single crit success

the thing about multiclassing with paladin levels is every time I start to get into I'm just like 'but a pure paladin would be better'

#I love having shadowheart as a full cleric when I'm playing a paladin #but it's hard especially in the early game because it's like #she only has three spell slots and a couple of cantrips #and it makes you think 'wouldn't it be nice if she had a higher strength score and simply hit things. and healing radiance'#also I consistently used oak more for healing and support and shadowheart more for high damage spells #so I'm here like #'clerics are for blowing things up with radiant energy and fire and paladins are for healing right?'#scribblingface plays bg3

This pretty Paladin ended up getting beheaded in one of the sessions I DM'd for her (don't worry, she got better).

I realized I never did finish any of her old art though, so I went back to it and started fixing things up before realizing I could just do better starting from scratch. I was rusty and took a few hours to warm up, but once i got going on this, I didn't wanna put it down until it was at least at this stage. It's sketchy and feels pretty unfinished to me buuuut I'm happy enough with it to share.

I just finished astarion’s quest …. It was pretty good!! and I like the pacing of his character + their relationship it fits with shri’iia’s story and development so astarion’s her LI now I guess. but omg that fight I had to cheese it 😭 I’m so happy shri’iia is a paladin bc one blinding smite was enough to half health cazador before the fight begun so she just spent the whole time hunting him down and smiting

#had to bring gale in tho…. paladin is fun but the aoe is lacking so gale makes up for that #kind of giggling tho astarion being worried abt how strong cazador is like dw ur gf is literally a paladin and she does insane radiant dmg #i spec’d her to great weapon and she has this op halberd #literally one shotting everything it’s saur good #but anyway I love this kind of slow burn for them it’s weirdly fitting #bc act 2 was all abt the religious girlies (lae’zel/shadowheart/shri’iia) finding their own path after they’ve been forsaken #now it’s astarion’s turn ..#I reloaded tho to see what’ll happen if he goes through w the ritual and I think act 1 shri’iia would be like go for it babes #but act 3 shri’iia?? she’s like girl wtf #shut up about bg3.

i got back into BG3 to finally end my main run buuuuut i woke up today and decided i'm going to get work DONE and THEN play. let's be responsible for once god damn it.

#last night i did the house of hope #which everyone said was mega difficult. but i just annihilated that boy so hard first try no reloads. it was very satisfactory.#so much so that i did not realize the pillars mechanic until he was like 1 round away from dying and completely ignored it lmao #bard allows for so many shenanigans. i counterspelled his main action like 5 rounds in a row and was permadebuffing every turn.#and then just wailed on him because my party is like mostly melee people.#my vengeance paladin/war cleric shart was like ''oh i can't use radiant or fire? how about i do a level 6 thunderous smite how about that"#i will say that maybe most players had to fight yurgir and that might have been part of the difficulty but. i am a bard.#i can roll a 30 persuasion no problem.#bg3 spoilers
