Do you have any advice for designing an outfit for a mindflayer? I struggle drawing the robes from BG3

sorry for taking so long to answer this, the chronic seasonal sickening has sunk its claws into me real deep this year, and i wanted to give you a proper response ;-;

BG3 illithid armor is definitely a handful... luckily, that particular style is more for a spell-jamming space-faring squid, and the lore books have a good variety of clothing types to draw inspiration from - here's a bunch of art from the Illithiad that might be helpful ' -')b

underdark community squids generally like to dress more comfy-cozy-robey. big crest collars, big sleeves, and skull motifs are pretty in, and they also seem to love their classic pointy wizard hats

more sci-fi type squids that have to work outside of their colonies wear rubber dampsuits or full armor to keep themselves moist. lots of organic patterns. they augment their bodies with prosthetics and tentacle extensions, which offers a lot of room for fun design choices

there's also a very good collection of squids-across-the-ages on their FR wiki page, & i went over my own design choices a bit in this post. mine are mostly inspired by other official illithid characters, so i guess my biggest advice is to find one that's got similar lore or a class to what you're designing for, maybe you'll find some inspiration there :'>

What are your thoughts on Tapp and Sing from the first SAW film?

i like em! i don't have THAT many thoughts about them or anything but funny enough i DO already have cat designs in mind (specifically tapp as a ticked tabby and sing as a tuxedo)

sidenote but one of my favorite stupid details that's forever ingrained itself in my mind is sing's dumbass pants that don't fit him

Heya! The thing on Robin's back is a breathing machine, as she has breathing issues! She refers to it as her "lungs" :)

Cromdo being a underhanded photographer is a fun concept, he could play a role similar to Kent from Dead Rising antagonizing Filbo into taking better photos.

Let’s pretend for the bit I know what Dead Rising is, whoops… Anyhow, I feel like Filbo kinda feels obligated to go through with Cromdo’s Scheme Of The Week mostly because he’s way too nice to turn him down.

Yep. Wiggle is pretty annoyed at Triffany for burying the little ones to get their skeletons, and Triffany finds it exasperating how she coddles over every Snak she sees like it’s her kin.

Pretty ironic how the sensitive little pet lover has the height and strength advantage over an archeologist who’s stubborn as a mule, huh? FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

I'm honestly really indecisive at the moment, I want to do rat / mouse because he's literally called a sopping wet rat in the script, but since im potraying lawrence as a rabbit it feels like I should diversify him a bit. As far as im aware in the fandom adam tends to be assigned catboy (insert something here about anthro predator& prey dynamics with adam being a cat and lawrence being a rabbit). My friend Lee brought up the idea of him being a possum and i really like that too.

What's your favorite season of power rangers?

Honestly speaking, I can't say I have a favorite Power Rangers season because it's only fairly recently that I actually started watching it, y'know?

I mean I have seen a few scattered episodes around here and there in the past, but I'm talking like actually watching the show properly and not just checking out an episode out of curiosity because I read about a goof in the episode and I want to see if I can spot the goof myself by watching it.

I will say at the very least I have been enjoying the original Mighty Morphin, but I can't call that my fave because I still haven't seen any seasons to completion, so it's not exactly fair (also most seasons I haven't even really seen a single episode of tbh - pretty sure I've only seen episodes of MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Dino Charge, and Dino Fury)

I don't mind Zedd's new voice since this is meant to be a young version of them but I personally would have preferred if he was voiced by the same VA from Battle for The Grid
