This blog is a both horror and love story about the love between Dr. Richard Benjamin Vannacutt (played by Jeffrey Combs) and a beautiful blind Catholic nun, and hopefully it’ll be a third House on Haunted Hill film, and it’ll be like both Beauty and the Beast and The Phantom of the Opera.

The Bride of Dr. Vannacutt
🌹Chapter 49🌹:           Back in San Francisco, at St. Joan’s church, a month later, Dr. Vannacutt and Sister Ophelia got married, all the other nuns were happy for Sister Ophelia, and all the ghosts of Dr. Vannacutt’s patients and staff, Sara, Melissa, and Pritchett were wedding guests to go see now living Dr. Vanancutt to get married, so were Dectectives Monroe, Andrews, Perez, and Edwards, Eddie, Ariel, and Paul, and the ghosts of Mother Superior Mary and Sister Helen.
After the two lovers exchanged their vows, Sister Ophelia threw the bridal flowers high up into the air, and one of the female ghosts caught them and it was Melissa and she looked at Pritchett and the two ghosts fell in love.
Afterthat, Dr. Vannacutt and Sister Ophelia were dancing, and every living and ghosts watched, and Eddie asked, “Do you think they’re going to live happily ever after, Sara?”
“Of course they’re going to live happily, Eddie,” Sara said.
“Sara, since you’re already dead, are we still going out with you on our date?” Eddie asked as Sara, Ariel, and Paul laughed, then Eddie joined in.
Dr. Vannacutt and Sister Ophelia were now living husband and wife.

The Bride of Dr. Vannacutt
🌹Chapter 48🌹:         Back in the lobby, something happened, the bright light was shining on Father Matthews’s dead body, Eddie, Ariel, Paul, Pritchett, Sara, and Melissa saw Father Matthews’s body lifted in the air, then the rose petals entered the old asylum and swirled around Father Matthews’s body, and Ariel asked, “What’s happening?”
“Some spirit has entered Father Matthews’s dead body,” Sara said as Sister Ophelia and Detectives Monroe and Andrews returned to the lobby and the two detectives saw something what was happening.
          “What’s going on?” Monroe asked.
“Some spirit has entered Matthews’s body,” Paul said as Sister Ophelia sensed something what was going on.
“Who is that spirit?” Andrews asked.
          “Vannacutt,” Pritchett said.
“You mean Richard?” Sister Ophelia asked.
“Yes,” Melissa said as Father Matthews’s body was transforming, including Dr. Vannacutt’s scalpel was removed from its neck.
“Look, the body is changing and it’s started coming back to life,” Eddie said as Sister Ophelia’s eyes started to change and she was no longer born blind, and the rose petals fell onto the floor and the light stopped shining, and Dr. Vanancutt was no longer an evil spirit because he was now inside Father Matthews’s body and Dr. Vannacutt was reborn again.
Sister Ophelia saw Dr. Vannacutt for the first time, then Dr. Vannacutt turned around and saw Sister Ophelia again, and Sister Ophelia asked, “Richard, is that you?”
“Yes, it’s me,” Dr. Vannacutt said. “Ophelia, you’re no longer blind.”
Sister Ophelia walked towards Dr. Vannacutt, she looked at him, she unbuttoned the black shirt, she saw Dr. Vannacutt’s nasty wound was now all stitched up on his chest, she smiled at him and said, “It is you, Richard.”
Dr. Vannacutt smiled at Sister Ophelia, and they finally kissed, and all the ghosts, the three survivors, and the two detectives were happy about the two lovers were back together, then Andrews called Perez and said, “Detective Perez, this is Detective Andrews, I’m calling to let you know that my partner and I didn’t arrest Father Matthews and the rest of his men because they were killed by the ghosts from the old asylum.”
Then, the police and EMTs arrived at the old asylum.
As for the ghosts of Father Matthews and his men, they were crossed over into Hell.

The Bride of Dr. Vannacutt
🌹Chapter 47🌹:           Sister Ophelia was in the attic, hiding from Father Matthews, until Father Matthews was behind her, and he said, “There’s nowhere to hide, my Sister Ophelia.”
Father Matthews grabbed Sister Ophelia by her hair and her headdress, got her up, he turned her around and face him, and he said, “Now, your beloved doctor cannot protect you because he’s already dead.”
Sister Ophelia had Dr. Vannacutt’s scalpel hiding in her hand after Dr. Vannacutt gave it to her earlier.
“After we’ll get back to San Francisco, we’ll be married, and you will love honor, and obey,” Father Matthews said.
“You’re right, Fredric, I’ll be your wife, now kiss me,” Sister Ophelia said as Father Matthews was about to kiss her, until she stabbed him on the side of his neck with Dr. Vannacutt’s scalpel. “This is for the Mother Superior and Sister Helen.”
Father Matthews let go on Sister Ophelia, he dropped his gun, and he walked backwards until he lost his footing and hit the stained glass ceiling of the lobby, killing him instantly.
Detectives Monroe and Andrews arrived to save Sister Ophelia, but Sister Ophelia already took care of Father Matthews, and Monroe asked, “Sister Ophelia, are you all right?”
“Yes, I’m all right,” Sister Ophelia said.
     “And Father Matthews?” Andrews asked.
“He’s dead after I stabbed him on the side of his neck in my own self-defense,” Sister Ophelia said as Detectives Monroe and Andrews looked below of the lobby, there was a body of Father Matthews.
“Well, it looks like he lost his footing after he was stabbed,” Andrews said.
“Am I under arrest?” Sister Ophelia asked.
“No, you’re free to go, because of you, you saved the lives of those schoolgirls and the other nuns,” Monroe said.
   “I did?” Sister Ophelia asked.
   “Yes, you did,” Andrews said.
“But, what about Richard?” Sister Ophelia asked as Dr. Vannacutt reappeared.
“I’m right here, Ophelia,” he said.
“Richard,” Sister Ophelia said as the two lovers hugged and kissed each other, until the spirit of the last female patient appeared, and Dr. Vannacutt saw her again.
“What’s wrong, Richard?” Sister Ophelia asked.
“It’s time, Dr. Vannacutt,” the last female patient said.
“I’m sorry, Ophelia, but it’s time for me to go,” he said as Sister Ophelia knew that it was his time to crossover.
“No, Richard, I don’t want you to go,” Sister Ophelia cried.
“It’s all right, Ophelia, but I’ll see you in the other side,” he said.
“Please, Richard, don’t go,” Sister Ophelia cried.
“I love you,” Dr. Vannacutt said as he and the last female patient disappeared in front of Sister Ophelia and the two detectives.
“No, please, Richard, please, don’t leave me,” Sister Ophelia cried. “I love you.”
Detective Monroe walked towards Sister Ophelia and she said, “Come on, Sister Ophelia, let’s go.”
Sister Ophelia and Detectives Monroe and Andrews left the attic and went back to the lobby to meet up with Eddie, Ariel, and Paul until the police arrives.

The Bride of Dr. Vannacutt
🌹Chapter 46🌹:         Back in the operating room in the basement, Sister Ophelia was ready to die by Dr. Vannacutt’s hands, she was strapped on the operating table with her rosary in her hand, then Dr. Vannacutt used his scalpel to cut the straps of her black sleeveless dress, then he unbuttoned her white buttoned shirt, he cut the straps of her white underdress until her bare breasts exposed, and he said to Sister Ophelia, “Now, Ophelia, this might hurt a lot and it’ll be extremely painful.”
“I know, Richard, if you kill me, God will forgive you and I’ll forgive you because I always love you,” Sister Ophelia said as Dr. Vannacutt kissed her on her lips.
As Dr. Vannacutt was about to dissect Sister Ophelia, until Father Matthews showed up and said, “How romantic.”
Sister Ophelia was shocked that Father Matthews was already her with his gun in his hand, and Father Matthews said, “Hello, Dr. Vannacutt, I’m here for Sister Ophelia.”
“And you must be Father Matthews, the priest who abuses schoolgirls and nuns, including Ophelia,” Dr. Vannacutt said.
“And a murderer of the Mother Superior and Sister Helen, and now the owner of the Baphomet Idol,” Father Matthews said as Dr. Vannacutt was shocked about what happened to the idol, and Sister Ophelia didn’t tell Dr. Vannacutt, and she was shocked that Father Matthews had killed Mother Superior Mary.
“Ophelia, is that true?” Dr. Vannacutt asked.
“Yes, Richard, it’s true, he’s now the owner of the dreadful idol and he forced schoolgirls and nuns as prostitutes,” she cried.
“Aww, how sad?” Father Matthews asked. “And now, it’d time to say goodbye to your ghostly doctor.”
Father Matthews unstrapped Sister Ophelia and he grabbed her from the operating table.
“Now, Sister Ophelia, cover your dirty pillows,” Father Matthews commanded angrily as Sister Ophelia sadly almost buttoned her shirt back up.
As Father Matthews was about to leave with Sister Ophelia at gunpoint, until Detectives Monroe and Andrews showed up and Monroe shouted, “Freeze! Father!”
“Put down your gun! And let her go!” Andrews shouted.
“You don’t know who you detectives dealing with, I’m Father Fredric Matthews of St. Joan’s church of San Francisco, and I’m here to take that nun back to me and we’ll be married,” Father Matthews laughed.
“Father Fredric Matthews, you are under arrest for forcible prostitution, torture, and the murders of Mother Superior Mary Nichols and Sister Helen Peters,” Monroe said.
“You can’t arrest me, I’m not the owner of the Baphomet Idol,” Father Matthews said.
“Not anymore because out good friends from San Francisco, Detectives Perez and Edwards, raided your church, arrest the rest of your men, and Perez destroyed your precious idol for good,” Andrews said.
“And recently, your men were killed by Dr. Vannacutt’s patients and staff,” Monroe said as Father Matthews was upset that the San Francisco police raided St. Joan’s church and Detective Perez destroyed the Baphomet Idol.
“And do you know what I did to Ophelia?” Dr. Vannacutt asked.
“What?” Father Matthews asked angrily as Dr. Vannacutt put his hands on Father Matthews’s head to let him see what Dr. Vannacutt did to Sister Ophelia.
In Dr. Vannacutt’s vision, Dr. Vannacutt took care of Sister Ophelia after she was injured, then he took a good look at her back, then he showed her his nasty wound, and finally, he and Sister Ophelia made love to each other.
After Father Matthews saw Dr. Vannacutt’s vision, he looked as Sister Ophelia, furious, and he said, “You blind Catholic whore.”
Father Matthews struck Sister Ophelia in her face and she hit the ground and the shootout begun.
“Ophelia, run!” Dr. Vannacutt shouted as Sister Ophelia ran away from Father Matthews, and Father Matthews ran after Sister Ophelia, and the two detectives ran after Father Matthews.

“I hope the ghost of Dr. Vannacutt will kill that abusive priest before he’ll find that blind nun,” Eddie said.
“If Dr. Vannacutt doesn’t, my partner and I will arrest Father Matthews before he’ll get his hands on that blind nun,” Andrews said as she and Eddie were almost arriving at the old asylum.

🌹Chapter 38🌹:            Detective Monroe was at the office building of the fashion magazine, interviewing Ariel and her boyfriend, Paul, about the 2007 House on Haunted Hill murders, and Monroe asked Ariel, “So, your sister didn’t kill herself, but she was murdered by Desmond Niles, who was now deceased, am I correct?”
“Yes, he and his men were killed at the old asylum while they were looking for the Baphomet Idol, which I removed it from this old asylum and dropped it to the sewer,” Ariel said.
“And didn’t you know that the priest from San Francisco found that idol after the murder-suicide of the young couple back in 2007?” Monroe asked.
“We didn’t know that the young couple had that idol, they must’ve found it before the priest had found it,” Paul said.
“Why? What is something to do with that idol that priest found it?” Ariel asked as Monroe heard her cell phone rang.
“Excuse me,” Monroe said as she answered her cell phone and it was Andrews.
“What is it, Leslie?” Monroe asked.
“Mr. Baker and I are on the way to the old asylum, so you have to bring Ms. Wolfe and her boyfriend with you,” Andrews said.
          “What’s going on?” Monroe asked.
“We found the missing blind Catholic nun,” Andrews said.
“All right, we are on our way,” Monroe said as she hung up her cell phone.
“Is everything all right?” Ariel asked.
“You two have to come with me to the old asylum, my partner has found the missing blind Catholic nun,” Monroe said.
“What’s going on?” Paul asked. “Is it the evil spirit of Dr. Vannacutt came back?”
“I’m afraid so, but he’s the one who found that nun,” Monroe said.
“But I saw those inmates tore him apart before they were crossed over,” Ariel said.
“He must had escaped,” Paul said as the three left the office building and headed to the old asylum, where Andrews and Eddie would meet them there.

The Bride of Dr. Vannacutt
🌹Chapter 37🌹:       Back in Los Angeles, Detective Andrews arrived at the home of Eddie Baker, she knocked on the front door, Eddie opened the door, and he asked, “May I help you?”
“Good morning, Mr. Baker, I’m Detective Leslie Andrews, and I like to talk to you about the House on Haunted Hill murders back in 1999,” Andrews said.
“What is this about?” he asked.
“Well, there were a few more murders outside the old asylum, including one Catholic nun from San Francisco, and another Catholic nun, who is blind, is missing,” she said. “May I come in?”
“Sure,” Eddie said as he let Andrews inside his home.
Inside Eddie’s home, Eddie asked, “So, there were few more murders outside the old asylum?”
“Yes, but the first nun was murdered by four other victims who were criminals right before the four were killed,” she said.
“And the other nun who is blind?” he asked.
“She’s missing, but she might be hiding inside the old asylum,” she said.
“Is she inside the old asylum?” he asked.
“Yes, I believed she’s alive inside,” she said. “Any strange events before or after the murders back on 1999?”
Eddie had a flashback back in 1999, where he, Sara Wolfe, Melissa Marr, Dr. Donald Blackburn, and Watson Pritchett arrived outside the old asylum, before they entered the old asylum, Melissa noticed a single rose on the ground, and she said, “There’s a single rose on the ground.”
“But it never withered,” Sara said.
“Where did it come from?” Blackburn asked.
     “I don’t know,” Eddie said.
“It came from the last female inmate who arrived here with a single rose on the night of the asylum fire back in 1931, Dr. Vannacutt must’ve throw it out,” Pritchett said.
“So, he had no love in his heart?” Melissa asked.
“Of course he didn’t, but of he could learn to love another and earn her love in return but the time the roses blooms,” Pritchett said.
“What if he didn’t,” Blackburn asked.
“He’ll be doom to remain an evil spirit for all time,” Pritchett said.
“Just like ‘Beauty and the Beast’,” Sara said.
“That’s right, but he’ll never find one true love,” Pritchett said.
“All right, you guys, let’s go inside because I bet the Prices are already inside,” Eddie said.
“Right,” Pritchett said as the five went inside the old asylum, until Eddie’s flashback was gone.
“But there was a single rose outside the old asylum, but it never withered,” Eddie said as Andrews remembered a couple days ago, Monroe saw the gate wall was covered with roses while there were looking at four dead bodies.
“My partner noticed that gate wall was covered with roses while we were investigating the murders outside the old asylum,” she said.
“That means the ghost of Dr. Vannacutt found love in his heart,” he said.
“And the missing blind Catholic nun is his true love, and Dr. Vannacutt is her true love,” she said. “I know where she is.”
“Is that blind nun alive?” he asked.
“I hope so, but I need you to come with me to the old asylum,” she said.
“All right, detective, I’ll go with you,” Eddie said as he and Andrews left his home and headed back to the old asylum.
