Hello <3 this is my entry for the latest #foodpaintchallenge on Instagram. I got really excited when I saw that this week's reference showed an avocado, as I haven't painted one in a while.

I tried a different approach then usual- I started out using only muted pink to place my values, then used layers with various blending modes. I also used a sketching brush for almost the whole painting, only switching out to watercolour to put some colours on top. Are you interested in seeing the speedpaint? Please let me know <3.

Finally saw across the spider-verse for the first time. Immediately started drawing this until like 3 am.

Anyway, here’s my spidersona, Spider Ink. She comes from a post hardcore grunge world where everything is rendered with ink and the youth are fighting against a fascist regime that wants people to only color within the lines.

Getting back into painting with some Matilda in a more lore-centric depiction. No air left, sometimes getting the last sliver of the boss HP is all that matters. Of course that only works if your opponent is mortal to begin with. I wonder who she's fighting?
