guys I’ve had a rite of passage I got my ears pierced today!!!

It’s gonna be a bitch to take care of while it’s healing but I’m so excited for when I can wear whatever earrings :)

im finally doing another overdesigned merfolk and i have to pick a name for it orz

i wanted to do another slug based merm like plum so this ones an alabaster nudi (*^^*)

#oc corner #cliff png #scheduling this then reblogging a few things and going to sleep (hopefully)#ill get the tail and everything together later....#little notes: i did not want to draw all of the twists. apologies #canonical reason is it gave up halfway through twisting its hair just like i did #also unlike most merfolk it wasnt born with markings/patterns so its are scarred into its skin and are sometimes painted over #i couldnt decide which color scheme i liked more so now its scale and fin colors change depending on the season #last two things: the antennae on its head move and curl (as do the little tendrils on its ears) and its palms have a jelly like feel #(almost like the beans on plums hands but a bit squishier)#bare chest

A couple of years ago I wanted to start doing a minecraft monday thing where I post screenshots and/or a little doodle of my minecraft shenanigans every monday, but health and lack of time got in the way. Last year I posted some screenshots of the house I built on this world, and now I want to start my minecraft monday idea up again! ok i got excited and did mockups. screenshot source is dollightful’s recent gen 1 to gen 3 comparison video which is super cool and useful!! because the eye shape is mostly out of my control i’m thinking about adding in thick black lines to mimic my drawing style and bring it back to something that looks like i made it, which i think could look super cool! not sure if i want eyelashes on her or not. i’m prrrrrobably gonna have to reroot bc cleo’s hair has a lot of blue in it and her base hair doesn’t dye well from what i’ve read. then i get to try to figure out styling!!

#wip #sal cereza #i actually secured a ride to go to the store & pick up a doll and supplies so now i'm For Real Planning #this spring break! god willing and the creek don't rise! aaa!!!!#so i'll do air dry clay for the nose and i've seen repaint videos where folks change a happy expression to a dour one by painting #lower on the lip mold to counteract the upturn. which means i'll probably have to figure out a lip shade #but i have to mix a skin tone for the nose anyway so i'll just go a little darker than that i think #this is gonna be a lot more subdued than most of the customs i watch bc sal is like. light futch #and i like very simple cartoony eyes #she doesn't like makeup it feels weird. she doesn't like a lot of femme clothing bc it's too tight or the fabric is uncomfortable #she has already nailed down the textures she likes THANKYOU!!#a bit of mascara and earrings and that's as much as she's doing #i want to do multiple clothing sets also #one sleeveless turtleneck to go under her jacket #one regular turtleneck to just wear #and one with a ripped up sleeve for the Fungits Arm #then a pair of corduoroy pants and a skirt #also planning to just paint her hands black for the gloves #but since MH hands are removable - i think? - i want to sculpt an alt fungits hand #THIS IS. VERY INVOLVED FOR A FIRST TIME.#i am planning to Dream Big and accept cutbacks #shoes are gonna be a pain probably #i'll see what i can mod from what the doll comes with #sculpt out of clay if all else fails?

i made the mistake of forgetting abt this for a few weeks n started to hate it but it put in too much time already so im forcing myself to do a little bit every day but i legit havent done anything but half finished portraits for years :')

#why does their design have so many details i am incapable of simplifying anything n painting accessories is NOT my strength #the dragon head looks more like bowser than a dragon i am not even gonna attempt to paint their neck piece anytime soon again omg #n im only half done w blocking it out havent even gotten around to add details yet rip #look i know how to paint skin + nice noses n ears maybe decent eyes n lips on a good day #thats how far ive gotten w any painting the past idk 5 yrs i have legit forgotten how to render hair #their face n arm n one hand is turning out too good for me to scrap this i gotta power through so i can finish rendering the parts i like #my art #i still need to do part 2 where its katari doing their eyeliner why did i stop drawing for years n what do u mean i need to relearn it all
