most universities and colleges have an RA or security for their dorm halls and I wanna know what the foxes RA thought. how often did they see or hear what was happening and choose to say they weren’t in the building bc they didn’t wanna deal with it. how many times did they go past security desks clearly intoxicated and the person at the desk just decided to turn a blind eye. when did authority figures decide to give up enforcing the rules for the foxes because they’re always dealing with a million different things

I hope I get to work at this location again. The residents are all so sweet about the managers (one of them kept on offering me treats as they were all running around and setting up the decorations for Halloween for the old ppl and children 🥺) and the main property manager said that I was a delight and that he’ll leave a good word for me with my agency 😭! Everyone was so nice to me and all of the old ppl kept on coming up to the front desk and talking to me 😭. So cute…

It really blows my mind how many people think their day job is real life.

Just saw a post from a night auditor (someone who literally is kind of paid to do like two hours worth of work in an eight hour period and then just sit and chill the rest of the time) who was like "I had a warning pop up when I tried to play Solitaire, is that new?"

And SO MANY COMMENTS were like "Um Sir That Is A Work Computer Why Are You Playing Games On Company Time"

I can't believe how many people are obsessed with policing people's downtime, appearance, and what their body can tolerate because they're chasing the controlling high they had when they peaked in high school.

I didn’t think I’d ever make an “empiressona” But I thought of a really funny idea so my empiressona is now Dave, the sole building safety inspector of Sanctuary. He got the job when it was a pretty small Empire, and now he wakes up every morning and is exasperated because Sausage has built ANOTHER THING that he has to do inspections on now.

Y’all I had to leave my job cuzza school n I been serial applying to places and I literally dk what will be of my life cuz…I have no business applying to be a receptionist at a law firm or a veterinary assistant when I have no experience in neither of those things but I refuse to work retail and food. I can’t go back 2 tha trenches like tht.

Because my migraine attack was right when I usually take my nightly dose of weed, I couldn't have that tonight, cuz I was concerned the migraine wouldn't respond well to the weed while I was waiting for the excedrin to kick in (experience has told me the wrong strain will make me have a panic attack when I have a migraine too and let me tell you that is NOT a fun time). Anyways now it's 1 am, I'm not tired, and I have to work the service desk the day before a holiday and I know that's going to suck majorly

On the subject of parents banning cartoon shows, my parents didn't do it (we were Gen X/early millennial latchkey kids with one parent who worked in the day and one who worked nights so nobody really policed our media consumption) but they have on occasion expressed their regret that they let us watch the Simpsons as kids since they think it turned us into smart-mouthed assholes. We were already smart-mouthed assholes! That's why we loved the Simpsons!
