very emotionally diverse day today
#our dog was put down today#and my pattern draft didn’t go as planned#but it’s looking like my solution to the pattern problem is working#and I got to have a nice dinner of noodles and roasted cauliflower#and I put on a sweatshirt that I had sitting in my closet#because I remembered not liking it/it not fitting right?? when I first tried it on#but now I do like it?? or now it fits the way like?? so like that was nice#AND I found the house key we lost a few months ago#it was in my shorts pocket that I SWEAR I checked the day we lost it#and the monster I drank didn’t give me heart palpitations or make me sweaty like they’ve been doing recently#I say emotionally diverse but really that’s only like three emotions lol#sad and frustrated and happy#mostly happy I’d say#which feels at odds but

healing from brain damage is definitely the worst injury ive ever had to heal from so far 😞 this shit is so difficult yall
#tiny bit of my long med history for context:#i have broken my collarbone#i have had my face mauled by a dog where i had to Literally Physically tear it off my face#it locked its jaw around my nose and upper lip#i got like 10 stitches and they had to super glue my nose back together#but uhhhhhh#i got a concussion as a kid that went untreated because our healthcare system is so underfunded and understaffed#and that turned into what the doctors call ''functional nausea and vomiting disorder''#then on monday i got another concussion at work#and holy shit.#second-impact syndrome is a BITCH#im in so much pain if i use my brain at all#hey other dissociative people: you've dissociated from your body but have you ever had to dissociate from your brain?#or is this what being forcefully locked at the front and locked out of headspace feels like?#i think this might be worse though because i cant think at allllllllllllllllllllll#i get delirious if i try 😔#this is so hard#i sobbed in the shower over it for like 30 minutes today lol#i had to sit down in the middle of my shower and it was so hard yall#im trying to hard not to spiral#being vulnerable and putting this on my main instead of hiding it on one of my many many sideblogs#(jsyk if youve read this far then youre allowed to ask me what my active sideblogs are. dms and asks are open)#(@queerlyneurotic is one of my vents and where i usually put sad shit. you get a freebie for reading this.)

No Stonathan Sunday today. I got some really sad news and I can't write anymore today.
#i'll put it down here in the tags in case people wonder#faith talks#death mention#animal death#is that enough to do an expand?#i think so#basically one of my family's dogs passed today#and she was the momma to my personal dog and had been with the family for nine years#was probably ten or eleven (our last rescue dog before my mom couldn't do rescues anymore)#and i'm really worried cause the other family dog my parents still have was her seeing-eye dog because she was mostly blind#and now charlie can't find her and has been crying and looking for her#and i'm so worried about him#shit i don't even want to think about yoyo's reaction when we go home for Christmas and there is only charlie#yeah i may be more offline today than usual#we'll see how distracted i need to be

Got some rough news today so it might take me a couple days to get last night’s shoot edited while my family grieves.
Note: queue will still be up and running! And I might do some work depending on how I can manage.
#my dog who we raised from a puppy had to be rehomed around age 3 because he had too much anxiety in our home#he is such a sweet and wonderful dog he just was hindering my husbands service dog from alerting and tasking#and we lived somewhere dangerous and he was constantly being rushed by aggressive dogs on walks#my husband even got bit#well his new family messaged us today#he has internal bleeding and can’t clot so he’s being put down today#and my heart is breaking#we just lost one of our cats too and it feels so heavy in my soul#my husband is a wreck#and I’m not doing so hot either#I loved that little guy so hard#he was my little mans#and giving him to another family was horrible but the right call because they could afford to give him care we couldn’t and they loved him#and my husbands service dog needs surgery still#it’s just a lot#things were going really well for a while#but life kinda hits hard#missing my boy#and my cat#and my stepdad#and all my family that’s passed#I was just starting to paint again after my stepdad died in july#but life hits hard sometimes

I am really sore from work I wish riding five hours in the car didn't require having your feet on the ground
#ghostly posts#walked 10.6k steps which is by no means even close to my record or anything#but I got NO BREAKS ..... I ate my lunch in the car home after my shift. like#augh on my feet all the time hurts :/#got called in early at 6:30 ran around getting ready and packing for later so that by 8:30 I was ready for work#got to work and then just. I got one 10 minute pee break I guess. but that's all! run chicken.#8 piece dark was on sale HALF OFF so that's all ANYBODY ordered#and we'd take four customers to run out of fried chicken. make some more. make some more. we need baked chicken. and whole chickens.#more fried. wash ten more bowls please. we don't have any clean tongs#our fryers are busy with chicken so we're also out of potatoes and corn dogs and burritos. make more of those. keep track#oh we have three salads that aren't labeled today ! cool and the managers left without saying anything about that cool#now I just look like an idiot cause nobody told me we were putting out A SIXTH POTATO SALAD today.#and don't get me started on pre sliced meats and cheeses. man#anyway after work ate my lunch and dropped by home to change and get shopping list#shopped groceries and then came back and my roommates tire was flat#so I had to unload and greet our guests and then immediately drive my roommate to the tire store#and we picked up the fixed tire she needed#then I was like 'I really wanna help you put this tire on but I need to shower so bad'#and then I showered and my roommates parents visited while I did that#and then dinner was ready and I ate food but I portioned too much :/ and also I realized I wasn't even done packing! oh no! I leave in ten#minutes for the mountain! shit!#I got packed I had help and everyone was so niceys to me#but my back hurts and I am already soooo ready to be lying down!

You've been accused of a crime you didn't commit. Even worse, you were speedily shipped to a maximum-security prison, despite your horror and your desperate protests. Your lawyers are scrambling to get you out as soon as possible, but it's not a guarantee.
You thought you'd be killed within the first moments after arriving. The three men you're sharing a cell with, however, turned out to be reasonable enough. Unexpectedly so.
The blonde one greeted you with a wide, merry smile. He's the friendliest of the bunch, despite his heavily scarred features. One of them seems to wear a mask at all times, and he doesn't speak much. The last one is polite, though he keeps his distance. His answers are curt and to the point.
You quickly noticed that all other inmates avoid you religiously. The tables empty when you put down your lunch tray, and during breaktime the yard fluctuates with people migrating to whatever corner is farthest away from you.
Today, you finally found out why: one of the prisoners happened to bump into you, and he promptly fell to his knees, begging you to not mention it to your cellmates. You are apparently sleeping next to the leaders of the biggest gang around. Even the guards are terrified to approach them the wrong way; the last one to do so was placed on permanent medical leave.
And yet, they are nice to you. In fact, you'd go as far as to say they're strangely protective of you, always looking out for your safety and hovering in your vicinity like trained dogs.
On your way back, you find the inmate who pleaded for your silence; his head nearly cracked open, held against the bathroom sink by your beloved blonde bunkie.
"Oops! You weren't supposed to see this," he laughs awkwardly. "Why don't you return to our room? I'll join you in a moment."
He flashes you his usual smile, innocent and somewhat silly. This time it appears particularly eerie, given it's stained by fresh splatters of blood.

#I feel like I am surrounded with death and it’s sort of overwhelming just because of how much in the past few days#like unrelated to world events#first my friend’s dog died while I was staying at their house for break (on the last day we were there)#then I get back from break and finish unpacking (so the day after their dog died) and I get a call from my mom saying#my great aunt Susan has died and that there probably won’t be a ceremony/funeral but that in a couple weeks there’ll be a family gathering#at a restaurant to share stories about her life (as is our tradition but usually we also do a burial and funeral)#and today I get an email from my Black English and Voice professor saying that tomorrow’s class is going to be over zoom because her cat#(who we knew wasn’t doing so well and was older) has died/is going to be put down very soon#I met this dog twice (but for extended periods of time both times- I was staying over)#and while he was very stinky he was also very sweet and somehow happy despite having multiple tumors and different kinds of cancers#and having to have an eye removed and I think a bunch of other health issues#still a very happy and cuddly dog! also built like a brick. I think people could tell that his time was coming#my friend actually said a few days before he died that he wasn’t allowed to die while they were there#(they didn’t want to have to deal with everyone around them being sad which is understandable)#and their mom responded that ‘I don’t think Louie will die before Saturday’ but he did. he died on Friday#apparently my great aunt Susan was moved into hospice care a week ago and my mom just didn’t tell me because she didn’t want to ruin break#but also that means that being told she died hit really hard and unexpectedly#I didn’t know her all that well but she’s family#she’s family that I care about regardless of how close I was to her#and anyway by the end she didn’t want to see many people anyway#at the end of the school year last year I went to visit her in the hospital while I was in new york for my great aunt June’s funeral#(she’s actually a cousin of some sort but I’ve always called her great aunt June)#and she was willing to see my mom but was too tired to see anyone else so I never actually saw her then#and now she’s gone#that was a late night call that I got yesterday#and today is the email about my professor’s cat Tea Cake#I know my professor. I don’t know her cat. but it’s still another death that I don’t have many degrees of separation from#my professor would talk about her cat before class started sometimes so it’s also not this abstract entity. it’s one I know about#it’s just. a lot?#and it doesn’t feel like it should be as overwhelming as it is
