The amount of cartwheels people will do to justify Tommy's bad behavior baffles me.
If Tommy wanted someone open to being public right away, he should've gone to an already openly out person. I went through the same thing as Buck. I first dated a woman when I was 25. I was so scared, but she understood me and never left me like that. She never pressured me. And I know that people will say 'But Tommy never pressured Buck!' - and to them I say, not in words, but if you really like someone (which Buck seems to like Tommy at the moment), you would feel the pressure because you would probably do anything to get back in their good graces. So that was prime sh*t behavior from Tommy.
The one for the dressing up also holds true. If he really cared about Buck, he would've at least tried. I'm not saying to don a full costume, but at least something simple in keeping up with the theme. And that tone when he dismissed Buck was also not great. That was condescending AF. Even if they were the only three dressed up, at least he would've shown that he cared enough to try.
People hated Buck's other GFs for the same reason, but now because it's a man, they are willing to forgive anything. 🤷

the fact that it wasn't about jealousy not really, it stemmed deep from the fear of who he is in buck's core he's Evan he's replaceable in people's lives. Everyone he loved left him or found someone else he will always be a spare. And that's why "You act like you're expendable. But you're wrong" was so important and that's why it's gonna happen again he needs to hear that from Eddie again

Every time I watch Survivors (4x14) I spiral because it’s such a great episode, both on its own and for Buddie content.
But what always sends me in a spiral is when they’re in the fire truck and Buck is tending to Eddie’s wound and Eddie goes “are you hurt?”
First of all, the fact that he’s concerned about Buck when he’s the one with a gunshot wound is just… beautiful, chef’s kiss, amazing. They love each other so much.
But secondly, it hurts way more when you think about the fact that at the end of this episode, he tells Buck that last year, he wrote in his will that Buck becomes Christopher’s legal guardian if something were to happen.
So when you put these two pieces of information together you realize that Eddie was asking if Buck was hurt because he very legitimately thought he was dying and wanted to make sure Buck wasn’t too because he needed Christopher to have someone after he died.
He needed Chris to have Buck.

“She guessed my favorite color on the first try. To be honest I didn’t even have a favorite color until she yelled out yellow”*
Whatever you do, don’t think about Tommy. Tommy, who doesn’t think he has a favourite flower because honestly, nobody has ever gifted him flowers. And throughout his life he was told time and time again that flowers were definitely not for men.
“Flowers are delicate, like women, Thomas. I’m not a sissy, and neither are you,” his father had grunted when Tommy had asked him, at 8 years old, what his favourite flower was after they learned about the different meaning of flowers in school. He’d never brought it up again, but his father had made sure he would never forget about it.
Then, decades later, Buck comes into his life, with his sunshine smile and gigantic heart and it’s so easy to just let himself fall in love. And at some point in their young and blooming relationship Buck gifts him flowers. A beautiful bunch of fresh peonies. And Tommy nearly cries from happiness there and then.
Because it’s not just that no one has ever gifted him flowers, but it’s also the beaming smile on Buck’s face as he thrusts them in Tommy’s hands. It’s the pure love that radiates from his gaze, and it’s the typical enthusiasm in which he tells Tommy everything there is to know about peonies and the meaning of flowers. It’s the devotion in his voice as he murmurs:
“I saw these and they made me think of you.”
Because Buck guessed his favourite flower on the first try. But to be honest Tommy didn’t have a favourite flower until Buck gifted him peonies with a smile that could light up the whole city.

One other reason why I'm more inclined toward Buck & Tommy? They understand each other's line of work, but they are NOT working in the same firehouse. They WON'T be constantly attached to the hips all day at work and outside of work. Just like Hen, Bobby and Chimney do have their significant others outside the 118 firehouse, I would prefer for Buck to have a significant other outside the 118 firehouse, too. Remember how Hen basically said Buck doesn't have anyone outside the 118? That's a potential difference and improvement Tommy could make for Buck.

Unpopular opinion:
Tommy was a douche for leaving Buck outside that restaurant. He knows Buck is barely out, so that reaction was entirely unwarranted.
Eddie would never do that.
Which is why Buddie is still infinitely better.

The way so many people within the fandom are reacting to Buck being canonically queer (bisexual, specifically, according to Oliver) is making me so uncomfortable
I made a post about it last night, but Buck being attracted to men isn't about anyone else. This is about Buck and only Buck. And making it about another character - namely, I'm seeing people make it about Eddie and Hen - is such a disservice to Buck as a character and Oliver's clear excitement to portray this storyline.
Buck being attracted to a man other than Eddie is canon. Buck being attracted to men is canon. We have a storyline involving a man in his 30s having a self discovery arc. Whether you believe his attraction to Tommy is genuine or not, the way I've seen people talking about it is so... Not believing someone can be attracted to someone because they must actually be attracted to this other person instead is biphobic rhetoric.
Being excited for this storyline and not acknowledging all of the other representation in this show in the same breath is not "forgetting Hen" or "erasing her" or "ignoring her marriage to Karen." Yes, Hen and Karen have been there the entire time. No one is saying there wasn't any queer representation in this show before. We're simply excited to see a grown man having a bisexual awakening in real time after headcanoning it for years. Don't tell people they're ignoring or erasing another character because they're talking about an arc that doesn't have anything to do with that character. Pulling attention away from a bisexual storyline in favor of other representation is biphobic.
A lot of people are also talking about Buck coming out as if it's going to happen in the next episode. Stop it. If Buck does not feel comfortable coming out to anyone (he looks clearly uncomfortable in the promo for next week when Eddie shows up during his first date with Tommy) then he does not have to. There is nothing that says Buck has to come out within a certain timeline. In fact, considering how short this season is, it wouldn't even be surprising or unreasonable for him to not come out until the end of the season or even in season 8. Talking about that like he's "lying to Eddie" by not coming out is queerphobic. He's allowed to not be ready for that, no matter who he's surrounded himself with.
Yeah, Buck is a fictional character, Oliver doesn't have a Tumblr and won't see any of what you're saying. But, to use a cliché, all of your bisexual friends and followers (especially those who don't watch the show and therefore have almost no context) will see it.
And yes, even if you yourself are bisexual, this is still biphobic rhetoric. These are arguments that people used against bisexuals all the time.
Insisting that he's not actually attracted to Tommy because he's secretly in love with Eddie is pick a side rhetoric.
"Reminding" people of Hen and Karen when they're celebrating furthers the idea that bisexuals aren't "queer enough" to deserve celebration.
Saying a character "gets to" be out is shaming people who are still closeted.
Buck's storyline is about Buck. It's not about Tommy. It's not about Eddie. It's not about Hen. It's. About. Buck.

7 Days of Scarepairs: Blam | Blaine Anderson x Sam Evans (Glee) + “Vampire”
Requested by Anonymous
"I have to compel you. If anyone found out-"
Sam stared back at him, his eyes as big as saucers. "Who would believe me? I don't even think I believe me."
"Trust me," Blaine said gravely, "plenty of people around here would believe you, and that wouldn't end well. For anyone. It's not just me."
Sam got out of his chair. "Wait, there are others? Like, here? In Lima?"
Reluctantly, Blaine nodded. He knew shouldn't be telling him any of this. It was too much of a risk. He should compel him now, like Mr Schue told him to.
But then he caught a glimpse of Sam's face. He was grinning from ear-to-ear as he sank back into the chair and shook his head. He looked up at him.
"This is so cool."
"It's really not," Blaine tried to protest.
"Dude, you're a freaking vampire!" He glanced around them, his face taking on a more serious look as Blaine motioned for him to keep his voice down. "Sorry. It's just... I don't understand. You're this awesome, supernatural being with awesome powers. You're like a superhero."
Every disadvantage and negative side to it rolled right back down Blaine's throat. His mouth quirked and Sam's grin widened.
"I guess, in a way..." he said, his brow furrowing. "Wait, you like superheroes?"
"Are you kidding? I love them," Sam said with barely contained excitement but, to his credit, he managed to keep control of his volume. His eyes grew impossibly wider and he was out of his chair again, standing in front of him. "Could I be your human sidekick?!"
The answer to that question should, undoubtedly, be a resounding no. Letting him keep his memories was bad enough. But actually involving him in any of it? Mr Schue would never let it slide.
He opened his mouth to shoot him down, but... he just couldn't bring himself to do it. The truth was, it was a pretty lonely existence. He'd only been a vampire for two years, but he barely had anyone to talk to anymore. His parents didn't want to know him. It was better they forgot about him entirely and went on pretending he had actually died that night.
Even his brother was better off like that.
Sure, he had a few friends at Dalton, and they knew what it was like, but... he was still really lonely. They had all gotten used to in their own ways, but he never could. Mr Schue was always telling him he couldn't have human blood because of the ripper gene, so he couldn't exactly tag along with David and Jeff when would sneak out.
He never even talked to Kurt about it because he thought it might freak him out too much, with all the history between witches and vampires, and now he wasn't even there anymore anyway.
He felt completely alone, even in his own world.
But here was Sam, looking at him like he was the coolest person he had ever met. Asking to be his friend. He wasn't afraid of him or what he might do, not like everyone back at Dalton or Mr Schue.
"I'm sorry." He sighed as Sam's face fell. "It's too dangerous. I need to make you forget all of this."
Sam pressed his lips together and nodded. "Can I just ask one thing? Don't take everything away."
Blaine opened his mouth, already shaking his head, but Sam lifted his eyes to him, freezing him to the spot with his next words.
"Leave the part where we met today."
Sam took a deep breath and nodded one more time, letting him know he was ready, even if he wasn't really. And he wasn't the only one.
He couldn't do it. He couldn't make him forget.
Worse than that: he didn't want to.

https://www.tumblr.com/pameluke/766890220727697408?source=share I love, love, love your tags on this post because I personally haven't stopped thinking about Buck being attracted to Tommy's confidence. Not just attracted to it, but when he tells Maddie what he likes about him, it's the first thing he mentions.
I thought it was sweet but always felt like it could have spelled trouble down the line :/
Thanks nonnie! (the post )
You are right! I'd forgotten that was the first thing he mentioned to Maddie (I'm always distracted by his love of the cleft, ha). But yeah, Tommy's confidence was definitely one of the things that attracted Buck to Tommy. And lets be real, Tommy was definitely putting that out, being all smooth and confident and snarky, and Buck was eating that right up.
Buck has been looking to be at ease for so long, with himself and with relationships, and then there is this sudden thing he discovers about himself and after the cursed first date, it finally all turns easy. Of course Buck isn't going to dig deeper, of course he's going to run with that, of course he's going to think that 'this might be it, I'm finally at ease'. Which gets reaffirmed by Bobby in a big way without them actually properly talking about Buck coming out and what that might mean for him.
And then they arrive to their first big hurdle (and I do think that Abby who was such a formative first love for Buck also being a formative last pretending love for Tommy is a hard thing to come to terms with) and I think they both fell back to their coping mechanisms really quickly. Buck clung and moved too fast, Tommy threw up his walls and ran away.
And here we are. I do hope Buck will take some time to take a breathe and be actually at ease with himself. I kind of hope that at some point they'll properly talk this through, but we'll see.
