This is an older one in the mcu, like post the first avengers movie, no civil war, no thanos, none of that. I'm pretty sure tony was in his suit and either Jarvis or Friday let him know that there's life in the building and he goes to check it out. Or tony and the avengers are wrapping up a mission and he finds peter (young/kid) and he's orphaned

because peter being shocked that she was able to sneak up on him seems like the obvious answer

but also cass being shocked that she can't sneak up on him would be equally as funny and has a lot more opportunities for her character development and the overall plot

Something I love about Spider-Man as a character: even if there's no big villain to fight, he's still a hero.

On days when there's no crime at all, he's out helping someone carry their groceries or giving directions to someone who's lost. He doesn't need anything negative to fight; he's just actively trying to make the world a safer, kinder, better place. That's what makes him a hero.

i personally love the fact that CoCC was the acronym, and the one to lead the discussions was dick. perfection fr.

i, initially, had more of this done, but the file got corrupted for some reason so i had to remake most of it. i'm still working on cass and damian, not to mention cleaning up a bit more and shading. i'll post an update when i do! hope ya enjoyed, be sure to got read the fic (it's really good), and fingers crossed the author updates again soon!

The fic starts w. Steve out in NYC when he gets a call from Nat telling him to go home quick, that something is wrong and people are getting sick. Folks are coughing so he does. He comes upon a young(?) Peter Parker who's trying to call his aunt but fails so Steve takes him to help him out & gives a scarf to cover nose/mouth. THEY run into Tony Stark who takes them back to the tower as people die in the street. May is dead, Pepper is assumed. They plan to stay & wait 6 wks for the air to clear.

when trying to write a nice little fic of Bucky cooking for Peter and end up writing about how much Peter reminds Bucky of himself as little orphan kid having to be a parent to his three younger siblings and breaking down crying in Sarah Rogers arms when she tells him "it's alright sweetheart"
