Birb Gang

So I plan to one day make an animated series called Birb Gang based around a group of birds where the story presents it being a silly show but slowly devolves into discussing topics not usually tred on/given the light of day in media. I wish to discuss topics of people's varied experiences with mental health, how anyone can have it, it doesn't just have to be a traumatic backstory to discuss mental health, how people deal with discrimination in other forms such as disabilities or close gated communities, stuff like that

The main reason is because I for years and still sometimes feel like my personal problems aren't important because they aren't rooted in traumatic experiences like others. I wish to show that anyone can have mental health issues no matter what.

Side note, the first 4 where drawn in December so they are a tad bit old but I just drew Pelican and Peacock. The introduction of names is a new thing because I never intended to give them actual names so I've decided that their bird names are code-names, like TF2

Think this was already mentioned in the first few chapters, but Blaire grew up with a rich family, much like sabine did. Blaire Williams was born in Vermont,USA, so she is technically american, but that's not her ethnicity. somewhere, her mom was jorvikian mostly, and her dad was italian-american.

Her parents had very time consuming jobs, and they were more focused on getting to the top of their careers and getting as much money as they could, in turn neglecting blare as a child leaving her with a babysitter, one of the best so they could brag, and mainly left blaire to herself. she was an only child.

as blaire grew into a preteen, she still looked up to her parents, she craved their validation. so, she became, or at least tried, to become like them. snobby, prickish, you know the whole lot. she went to one of the best private schools, wherever they were.

The Williams family moved often. most times for huge job offers. the lived in vermont for a year. then they lived in spain until blaire was 5, moving to italy. blaire lived there until 8, when they moved to england. the lived in england the longest, but they moved all around england, for better areas. eventually blaire and her family were living off the coast. in a multimillion dollar mansion. blaire was enrolled in one of the top english private schools.

blaire found an interest in horses relatively early in life. she was definitely a horse girl for a while, decorating her whole room with horse related things. when she was 13, she was gifted a Shetland pony, by her grandparents.

When she was 14, she was enrolled in a riding school, and quickly worked to become one of the best riders there. she wanted to impress her parents, show them she was one of them. she collected two more horses, an arabian and a thoroughbred.

When Blaire was 16, she was at the top of her riding class for school, having won many medals and awards for her sport. but her parents were still not quite impressed. the summer of her 17th birthday, she was sent off to jorvik, for their summer riding camp. after the summer was over, blaire decided to stay in jorvik and finished high school through online classes.

Because blaire was so desperate for her parent validation, she eventually became kind of one of them. she was a major bitch. she was the high school bullies you saw in the movies. she was kinda like paris, (if you've ever watched gilmore girls yk whats up). she strived for perfection, and broke down in the privacy in her room when she didn't get her expectations to the dot.

But anyway, she was more mean spirited person when she moved to jorvik at 16. she didn't like it there. she had to leave her horses, all because her parents didn't want her in their house over the summer for their own things. so basically she was a bitch to everyone most of the time. she was okay with justin, only because she introduced her to her now starbreed, diamond. again, i think this is in one of the chapters, but diamond is based off a horse i have in game. shes an andalusian, more specifically a perlino andalusian. like in canon they bonded very quickly and was some of her only happiness. while she was a bitch for a while in jorvik, after helping with saving moorland, and liking it, she made a promise to herself and became a nice person again. not because she wanted to fit in with all the personalities, but because she was honestly sick of being someone who caused hurt undeservingly. but she is more than willing to bring back the mean side of her who deserve it, especially when she starting interacting with dark riders and sabine.

Blaire is sweet and loving, but also sassy and can get fiery when she wants. she is a loyal person.

Happy #ArtMonday, everyone!

Today, I'm thrilled to share the story behind a logo I completed two weeks ago. It all began during a creative session while I was working on my "workspace" piece, listening to "Making of a Legend" by The Phantoms. The music sparked a surge of inspiration, prompting me to pause and sketch out the initial concept for this logo. You can even catch a glimpse of this moment in the time-lapse of my "workspace" piece on Instagram.

But later that same day, fate dealt a cruel blow. In the midst of my hyperfocus, I accidentally closed the project without saving, losing hours of work. Yet, I managed to salvage fragments of the design—just enough to piece together the essence of the final logo.

Despite the setback, I chose to persevere. Typically, I would shelve such projects indefinitely, but this time, I embraced resilience and dove back into the creative process with renewed determination. And you know what? I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Of course, every journey has its setbacks, and losing the original time-lapse was a bitter pill to swallow. It captured the logo's evolution, each idea unfolding in real-time. Nonetheless, I find solace in the fact that the end result surpasses the previous version in every aspect.

This project also marked my venture into working with vectors—a new frontier promising smoother results for future designs. It's a learning curve, to be sure, but one I'm eager to tackle head-on.

So what is this logo about? It's the symbol of one of my OCs from an original story called "Nexus Connection." Meet Alex, also known as Ikaros in the streaming world. He's not the protagonist, but a vital character nonetheless. Alex is a renowned streamer, celebrated for his gaming prowess and commitment to gender equity in gaming—a central theme in our story.

His pseudonym and logo, inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus, symbolize the dangers of unchecked passion. Just as Icarus flew too close to the sun and fell, Alex's journey serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of obsession. It's a reminder that even our deepest passions can consume us if we're not careful.

Reflecting on my recent setback, losing hours of work to hyperfocus, I'm reminded of the importance of balance in all things. Funny how life imitates art, isn't it?

In essence, this logo embodies resilience, creativity, and the power of embracing imperfection, ultimately leading to growth and improvement.

Speaking about all those things, I also wanted to give you a heads-up. I've been off my focus meds for a few days now due to some health issues, and it's been very challenging. Until I'm in the clear, I can't take them anymore (and there's a possibility I might not be cleared, ever). So because of that, my whole creative process is going to be much slower than usual.

My husband and I are going to stay at my parents' house in the south of France for a week, and I'm going to take this time to get better and try to refocus myself, but it might not be enough.

Let's talk about Metal Sonic!!!!!!

Theres not enough hours in my life to describe the complexity of shadow's feelings!!!!

"But poster" you say, "what do you mean? Is Metal Sonic in your headcanon?"

Let's talk about Metal sonic:

Well, child, Metal isn't just a robot mobian like the comics in my HC-- He was once a copy of sonic's personality, likely using another small animal soul to give him self control like gamma. But like gamma, Metal would gain a sense of self, yet he's controlled and trapped in the egg network: the Egg-work, you might say--because thats how he was originally programed and controlled.

"Poster, I won't call it the Eggwork, thats stupid. But what does this have to do with shadow?"

Shadow has fought Metal like 5 times now, but each time he gets close to reaching Metal or disconnecting him from the egg towers that control him... Metal self destructs--its a fail safe from Eggman, because his code can be used in another body with another small animal. It's old school for eggman, but as long as Metal stays under his control, he's happy to use it.

Shadow needs Metal to disconnect on his own or GUN needs to upload some kind of corruption program to stop the self destruct order directly to Metal, so they can isolate him.

"What does that mean to shadow?"

Metal's personality has changed since his first creation, learning and adapting from his orginal code, meaning he can edit his own code if given the freedom to. Shadow thinks that meatl would choose to do good given that his brain is copied from sonic's.

Shadow and Omega concern themselves with freeing and offering Metal autonomy. Weather He choses to be evil or good, it should be his choice...

Shadow knows what it's like to fall to madness and controll due to another's greed. He refuses to let Metal struggle, trapped inside his own head like that and will fight for Metal's freedom.

"Be it alive or dead, Metal will be given freedom. The same freedom sonic once offered me."

in another universe where Grace gave birth to a human baby instead and Spider was made artificially in a lab with Paz and Quaritch DNA

Kiri is still adopted by the Sully's because she's the daughter of Grace, others used to be wary of her because she's a sky person (and a very small, fragile child) but quickly warmed up to her as Eywa clearly had blessed her

now everyone is wrapped around her little finger<3 i'd say like Spider, she's very tall for a human but incredibly short for a na'vi (Spider is a bit more taller than Lo'ak)

despite being human, she still has a bit of na'vi features; yellow eyes, longer torso/narrow body, and the ability to breath in the air for a short period of time because yknow, we all know the father is Eywa Herself

Spider would probably be adopted too by a na'vi family because he is very much a na'vi that can connect with Eywa and Her creations, and if he wasn't adopted - he would still be raised lovingly, the complete opposite of his counterpart (ouch)

^following that, if he was adopted then his name would be different. Spider could just be his nickname,,,given by Kiri :)) that'd be very cute

i don't think he would fall for Quaritch's fatherly love, maybe because people just don't remind him and he forgot about his orgins or he already has a loving family so?
