I made some solarpunk soda tab jewelry!! Again. And I'm making more. (Image ID at the bottom of he post)

A choker, a pair of earrings, a belt/waist chain and some bracelets using 100% thrifted/recycled materials! The choker and the bracelets have two layers so that the sharp aluminum edges on the back of the tabs aren't making contact with skin, you can kinda see it in the pictures. Here are more pictures:

[Image ID: 8 images. The first one shows a choker made out of soda tabs, with black cord weaved through it forming x shapes. There's a silver spike charm hanging from every other tab about an inch apart from each other. Im in the picture wearing the choker, my face is not in frame but my pale as fuck neck is visible and so is my dark brown hair.

The second image shows a pair of clip-on earrings laying on a sage green background. Each earring is made of 6 soda tabs weaved into a flower shape with green yarn, and three dangles hanging from the bottom. The dangles are made of a wire link with a black bead on in and a silver spike charm hanging from that. The same spike charms I used for the choker.

The third image shows a 2 ft 7 inch long belt chain made of the soda tab flowers from the earring image. Each flower is made of six tabs weaved together with the same green yarn but they yarn fades to yellow towards the end of the chain. 16 soda tab flowers are linked together with large jump rings and there are large silver clasps on each end to attach to a belt.

The forth image is my hand wearing a black compression brace and two soda tab bracelets. They are weaved together the same way as the choker, with the cord forming x shapes, but the cord is orange and not black. The bracelets are the same size, 8 inches long when laying flat including the clasp. There are two layers of soda tabs which makes the bracelet a little thicker.

The next 2 images shows a dress form wearing the belt chain from two different angles. It had a black skirt with a soda tab belt, with various spikey chains hanging from it. There's a black strip of grommet tape hanging on the right side of the belt and my soda tab flower belt chain hanging on the left side.

The next image shows one of the bracelets at and angle so the double layers are visible, and the last image shows the bracelets, the choker, and an unfinished soda tab choker with green ribbon weaved through it all laying flat on a sage green background. End ID]

Antique necklace chain & frame, epoxy sculpted heart with toothpick stake & spike painted by me in acrylic and sealed with UV resin layers.

Spike & Buffy “Once More with Feeling” earrings are also hand painted in acrylic on wood pieces.

I'm going back and forth with myself on a decision about using damaged toys on my recycled toy earrings. Like, I absolutely use ones with initials of the original kids, cause I feel it respects the story and original purpose of what a toy is made for. But does that apply to one that is actually damaged? Like this bunny missing part of its ear.

I currently only sell these in a physical store in Anoka, Minnesota called Random Hippie. If I feel that this is something people would actually be interested in on my larger scale, I am considering opening an online store as well, possibly Etsy, so interaction online really helps me gauge how popular they would actually be.

I’ve finally photographed and listed these driftwood necklaces that I’ve made! I collected these little guys from Zuma Beach in Malibu, California last August. I cleaned them up (with boiling water and baking soda), got some second-hand chains from a thrift store and fashioned them into the very pendants you see here! You can get them from my Etsy store or buy them directly from me- $40 USD + shipping. I have some more driftwood I collected on a night walk through Hollywood-By-The-Sea in Oxnard as well so… stay tuned!

Day 3 of making whatever excites me the most!

I have several unfinished creative projects that I have put to the side for various reasons. Sometimes, they make it back on my bench, and sometimes, they get thrown out. I have been holding on to this one since 2022! I don't remember why I didn't finish it, but I am glad I didn't throw it out!

It is made from clear, single-use plastic taken from berry containers. The tubes and chain are silver. It is super lightweight, so I still need to bring it out on a windy day and see if it holds up to a gust of wind!

Upcycled jewelry time ;) I had this leather zipper piece I harvested from an old purse and turned it into a spike bracelet 🌿⭐️

I used some large sew-on snaps as closures and i added some charms to the zipper. It was a fun project and it helped me out of my art block a little bit :)

[Image ID: an 8 inch long and 2 inch wide black leather bracelet with a black zipper in the middle. The two segments when unzipped are about half and inch wide and each segment has seven half inch cone spikes lining them about an inch apart fron each other. Both the leather segments have white stitching along all the edges from when this zipper piece was attached to a purse. There are large silver snaps on the ends of the bracelet with black embroidery thread attaching them, and on the loop that the leather zipper pull is attached to, there's a large safety pin with beads on it. two black wooden beads and a big green plastic star bead in between them.

At long last I have edited the pictures of the witchy charm bracelet I finished last month! This was a really fun project that started with a single Ouija Board planchette earring and a silver chain bracelet I found in a second hand jewelry bag of odds and ends. I collected the rest of the charms from local stores and shops I found on Etsy!
