Running a business is hard but an industry? Ten times worse because the world is on your shoulders. How you find the time to balance your personal and work life is the topic of every gossip magazine. However this social season your face is on the front cover for an entirely different reason.

It’s completely baseless. Utterly baseless. Truly, it’s ridiculous how journalists can come to the conclusion you have a romantic interest in Lex Luthor of all people. 

Ok…maybe there was merit to their claims. 

You didn’t exactly flaunt your marriage with a wedding ring like most couples. God knows how often you lose or damage your jewelry so of course it wasn’t very practical to have Bruce buy you a new one every few months (even if he insisted it was fine). A ring itself was a hazard for Bruce when he was in his suit regardless. 

So was it logical for people to believe you weren’t committed? Unfortunately yes now that you think about it.

It’s likely these same columnists gave up on the ‘will they won’t they’ headlines when neither you or Bruce made a move. At least publically.  

It was just smart for the two of you to keep your relationship private. Bruce had his priorities with your safety and Gotham villains while you had to keep your work on the batmobile and an array of gadgets quiet or else Foxteca would lose its credibility.

Of course people were quick to notice Bruce’s lack of dates after a month or two but no one seemed to suspect a thing. Just that Bruce’s love for you went unrequited or there were personal issues present that held you back in the words of Vicki Vale.

Either way, you’re ready for this month's issue to fade into existence before you have Lois commenting on your relationship from Metropolis. She’s already teased you enough for organizing a formal dinner with the man responsible for the late nights your husbands spend with the Justice League.

You just have to get through tonight. Try not to cringe at Lex’s personable facade. Pretend you hold no ill will. Finish the business deal. Then you could go home and complain to Alfred while you waited for your family to return home.

Nothing could possibly go wrong hero wise when they were all on patrol. Conveniently at the same time but you ignore that in favor of the idea that they at least have some faith in you. In your heart you know you’re wrong.

“Thanks Oracle,” Dick huffed. Adjusting the communication piece in his ear after it nearly slipped out after a jump. “What’s going on?”

“I can’t see.” Tim answers. Shifting in his spot beside a gargoyle to try and get a better view of your office window.

“I’ve always found the other window better for spying on mom.”

“Cassandra.” Damian scowls. Very close to shoving someone off the roof. “What you all are doing is an invasion of privacy. Have you no decency?”

“It looks like she’s setting up for a date.” 

“Deflecting from the question does not change my position on the subject Todd.”

Stephanie snickers beside Damian. Resisting the urge to point out he had moved closer to the edge of the building they were situated on.

“A date?”

Everyone’s startled by the sound of Bruce’s voice but not because it carried through the comms so abruptly. 

“Stop looking at me.” Bruce glares when various pairs of eyes shine in his direction. They’re not deterred.

“He’s here!”

Simultaneously everyone returns their attention to Foxteca. 

“Hurry up Dick,” Steph hisses. “You’re missing it.”

Duke mumbles in agreement. Laser focused on the client you’re meeting. “Do you guys see what I see?”

“Luthor.” Jason nearly gasps. Grinning from ear to ear a moment later. “Oh this’ll be good.”

“B did you-”

“No. I didn’t know.”

“Oh shit. Mom’s in trouble,” Steph whispered. Oohing under her breath as she shook Damian by his shoulder.

“Here, here—” Dick landed swiftly. Out of breath. 

“Why dinner?” Tim mumbled. Rubbing his chin. “Especially in the office.”

“It must be because of the columns.”

“Less publicity.” The lenses of Tim’s domino mask widened. “You’re right Cass.”

“I can’t believe she would risk it,” Jason barked. 

Barbra sighed while staring at her screen. “It’s (y/n) we’re talking about. Self-made billionaire. Of course she would.” 

“He pulled out her chair!” Steph cried. Interrupting everyone’s train of thought. 

“That does not mean anything Stephanie. It’s simply proper etiquette.”

“Say that to his hand on her back!” She pointed. Adamantly looking around for any form of support.

“No wonder she’s been so secretive…” Dick murmured while glancing over at Bruce. Grimacing, at the slouch of his posture.

“Somebody call her! This is a matter of life or death.” Steph cried again. Falling to her knees.

“And say what!?” Tim snapped. Shaking the binoculars in his hand. “She’ll know we were spying on her.”

“We’re going to lie you idiot.”

“Twenty bucks says she notices before they come up with a plan.” Jason whispered conspiratorially. 

Cass smiled under her mask. Nudging her shoulder with Jason’s. “You’re on.”

It wasn’t the family’s proudest moment. Steph frantically scrolling through her contacts. Damian quarrelling with Tim while Dick tried to keep the peace or at least return everyone to some sense of normalcy.

“Uh, guys.” 

“Well if you disagree with this so much you can leave!”

“Guys,” Duke pleaded. Sweating as you stared into his very soul, cell phone in hand.

A ring echoed through the air. The familiar melody of a Batman jingle Dick found on the internet in his earlier Robin days.

Everyone was silent. Still as a strong gust of wind blew by. Then the music stopped.

“Scatter!”

You sighed. Tapping your heel impatiently on the tile of your office. Watching the blur of colors and capes you followed the line of grappling hooks until your family disappeared into the night. All except for your husband. 

“Bruce Thomas Wayne.” You spoke slowly into the phone. 

Bruce sagged deeper into a puddle. His cape almost makes him look like a blob or an entirely different entity.

“Bruce.” You shook your head. Keeping your voice low so Lex couldn’t overhear. 

It’s safe to say the manor was devoid of any life when you arrived. As if any one breathing would disrupt and possibly end the space time continuum. 

Waking up to breakfast in bed certainly was fun but tickets to your dream destination was the icing on the cake.

lol the current rumored deal around TikTok is all American data will be owned and controlled by Oracle, but the rest of TikTok including its algorithm is still controlled by Bytedance which is literally the dumbest possible conclusion to this

So that means effectively your data will be controlled by two companies instead of one and one of those is fucking oracle? Really.

being in a relationship with THE satoru gojo was bound to get you in the centre of attention (though you two have been in a relationship every since highschool years). students gave you pitiful glances that you had to deal with a literally man baby.

he’d whine and whine if you even decided to remove his arm around your waist to take a piss, it was annoying but you loved him anyways. if being a jujutsu sorcerer was your first job them being a babysitter was your second one.

not once have you seen a 28-year old man— who’s the strongest out there aswell— pout and act all dramatic when you decline him of a kiss. he would pull a heartbroken women act right out of his ass and hold onto you while staring into your soul.

though, there was moments where he could act like a little child at one point and transition to a full on teasing boyfriend.

he would glide his fingers against your arms until they reached your lips—parting them with his thumb— as he neared your lips, teasing the air between you both before pulling back completely (which resulted with a bruise on his head).

he teased you and often worships your skin, leaving bruises and marks wherever he can reach. those happened when missions had to separate you both, making you both worry for eachother. And when you’re both in eachother’s arms, you know where that leads you both.

just today there was a mission that involved gojo, you, aswell as his students. the end if it, gojo had proposed a sleepover, so that’s where you are now.

a over sized shirt over you with gojo’s boxers and on the shared, a pillow in your arms and the lights shut off, only light source from the tv and the flashlight gojo had.

the students (well, yuuji and kugisaki. megumi wasn’t interested) awed, stars exploding in their eyes as your eye twitched. now, he was just making shit up. you sighed, pinching gojo’s eyes and hearing him whine, “that isn’t what happened.”

he pouted, “i can’t tell my students how absolutely amazing you are?” yeah, he can. it boosted your ego but not when he was speaking a bunch of lies, “no, baby.” placing a kiss on his cheek as megumi internal gagged at the sight.

“we should play truth or dare. telling stories are kinda boring now. megumi, you in?” yuuji turned to the spiky black haired boy beside him, everyone knew his answer already.

“absolutely not.” plain glances were handed to him.

why did it almost reminded you of a highschool party by how yuuji and kugisaki laughed evily while looking at you? they’re scheming something you didn’t want to be apart of. you sweatdropped when kugisaki cleared her thought.

she looked at you with a devious gaze, “[name], truth or dare?” of course you were first, “truth.” god, you pussy! although, it seemed like if you picked dare it wouldn’t be any better then picking truth.

“how often do you and gojo do it?” your face paled while you turned to gojo slowly, and he had a grin on his face!? how insane is this guy!? “it’s a truth, [name]~ how often do we do it?” he teased you, pinching your cheek in his fingers.

“you’re not helping!”

“come on! don’t be a wussy!” he wiggled his fingers infront of you, holding your pillow as shield as you answered, “twice or once a week.” kugisaki and yuuji fist bumped eachother, how horrible of them.

the game went on and on until kugisaki had asked you a dare, a dare that made gojo gasp in excitement. it worked since he was a sweet tooth aswell.

kugisaki cleared her throat, holding something behind her back, “it’s you once again, [name]. truth or dare?” you hummed, thinking about which one would have the least consequences. you had chosen truth more then you had choose dare— about 6 to 10– “dare.”

she laughed, pulling a candy necklace out from her back, watching gojo’s eyes sparkle. “i dare you to wear this candy necklace and after each round, gojo takes a bit out of each one.” you sulked into the couch, gojo patting your head.

gojo took it from kugisaki’s hand, pulling it over your head as it nestled around your neck. he pulled on the necklace, nearing close to your neck where you fault his breath against it before taking one of the candy from the necklace.

this was gonna be long.

bite after bite, dare after dare, and truth after truth. the necklace was halfway done and your embarrassment was starting to get to you.

the way he kept slowly tugged the necklace to his mouth while maintaining eye contact and biting into the candy made your breath hitch every time he did, he was teasing you, like he always did.

and the students knew aswell, that’s why they kept drawing this game out.

“truth or dare, gojo?” yuuji had asked, his phone in his hand as he stared up at his teacher, “dare.” he had more balls then you. after kugisaki had given you the candy necklace, your choices of picking dare was very unlikely.

“i dare you to show us your last photo for your eyes only.” oh. oh! the last photo was your blushing face in bed. was gojo gonna take this dare and have his students see him and you differently?

it looked like he was thinking long and hard until he had answer, “can i not take it?” you let out a relief breath that you didn’t realize you were holding in.

yuuji and megumi looked at eachother before shrugging, “okay but you’ll have to finish [name]’s necklace and tell us your favourite position—“

“you guys are minors! how do you know this stuff!?” you interjected with embarrassment, taking notice of gojo’s twitching fingers. he was holding himself back from throwing your legs over his shoulders and eating all the candy on your neck.

megumi slapped the back of yuuji’s head, “let’s just go to sleep.” you agreed with megumi’s words, hearing the other two whine before stomping to their rooms you had offered them.

sighing in relief, you threw your head back against the couch, feeling your embarrassment disappear from your entire body— until the necklace was tugged again and placed into gojo’s mouth.

there was a clear and evident look in his eyes that he wanted more, fixing your positions into something more comfortable before throwing one of your legs over his shoulders and leaning closer to your neck.

“i’m not finished.”

I have some questions abt hellenic polytheism and how its practiced. I myself have been practicing it for a while, but something I noticed while researching about it is a distinct lack of actual greek people in online social media spaces. It was first brought to my attention after seeing a reddit post and youtube video explaining how using “hellenismos” is considered cultural appropriation. After that, Ive noticed how the main sources Ive used about hellenic polytheism isnt really from the people whos culture were trying to practice. AKA non greeks.

I would like to know your explanations on the basics of hellenic polytheism like altars/shrines, khernips, prayers, devotees, tarot/oracle cards, pendulums, kharis, and offerings. There might be some knowledge that I got wrong and need to change, like maybe the way I give offerings needs fixing and I need to give more perishable offerings like food than handmade crafts like art for apollo. And maybe theres a spicic way to do it and not just place it on the altar. Other than websites like hellenicfaith.com, r/hellenism is usually my main source with a grain of salt because of the strange lack of greeks in discussions, and although my friend who is also practicing hellenic polytheism gives me a lot of advice, their main sources are tiktok and. Well, I dont think I need to explain why thats a bad source. (Their main justification is “of course tiktok isnt that serious” and “it comes from the pagans themselves”)

Also, Im also curious on your thoughts about people who practice in secret.

I hope this isnt too long, I just wanna make sure Im using a better source than reddit because, well, its reddit. Not the most reliable source.

Hello! If you don't mind I will also address two more questions I got on the matter, since I feel they are related to yours. They are the following:

Hello all! You did very well to seek Greek sources because you are essentially dealing with a foreign culture and it's not right to assume it looks just like your local one. I will guide you as much as I can but I am very open to being corrected by knowledgeable Greeks and xenoi alike because I am not an infallible scholar. As always, my posts are open to additions in case I missed something.

Let me start by saying I believe it's important to focus on the living Greeks as well, in parallel to your studies of ancient religious texts. Not only were our ancient people diverse with various opinions but... they are also dead and cannot speak anymore. So, it's the alive Greeks who now handle and pass down the culture. If something gives the ick to modern Greeks, it probably goes against what the culture considers appropriate or strange.

Greeks will get "the ick" even if they are not well-read on ancient Greek customs, because the Greek culture largely holds its philosophy when it comes to worship. Disclaimer: This is not an unbroken rule, as some of our cultural elements have shifted or changed, as it happens to all cultures around the globe, and also because a Greek does not know everything. But it's good to keep that general statement in mind.

An example of a practice not seen favorably by Greeks nowadays is some Western women practitioners covering their heads because of Hellenic Polytheism. The ancient faith may demand it but the veil was forced a lot on Greek women and collectively we believe it doesn't make any sense to wear it, even in scenarios of faith tied to our culture. Now, that doesn't mean that it's any of our business if a Hellenic Polytheist wants to veil but it'd be good for this person to have knowledge of the history and rights of Greek women, and really evaluate why they want to veil beyond "the ancients did it", since Greek culture is largely disagreeable to that practice now. Let's dive into specifics a little bit. Our culture was and is practical and anthropocentric. It takes into account reality and environment, as well as human nature.

For the anthropocentric aspect: Yes, there are general guidelines because we are talking about a tradition here but no one will take your head if you do it a bit differently. As for the practical aspect: if you give non-perishable items to the gods by putting them on their altar, in 10 years you won't have a space in your house to stand. If they are non-perishable you have no reason to remove them. Because if you remove them is like taking back offerings that were meant for the deity.

The offerings of Greeks in Polytheism and Christianity included perishable items such as food, candles/oil lamps, flowers, incense, libations, etc. And since they go bad you have a reason to remove them. But you also don't want any waste on the streets or in your house. Even the sacrificed animals were meant to be eaten, and the Greek communities believed that the smell of roasted meat made the gods rejoice. In some cases, offerings that were left outside were meant to be consumed by the homeless and travelers. Everything has a purpose and a reason within that specific community. (Flowers not so much, they are just ornamental)

It's not that you cannot or should not offer non-perishable items to the gods. I'm sure a few don't hurt anyone. Just keep in mind that if the offering is a non-perishable item it is/was usually offered to the temple, so the priests can sustain themselves and continue doing their religious service on behalf of the community. We are talking about coins, clothing, jugs, animals, or whatever else.

Continuing on the matter of offerings. A small rant on how clueless some people seem to be about offerings. It would be weird to knit a winter scarf for a god and then wear it yourself because that's not how dedication/devotion works in the Greek context. Also, leaving that winter scarf on the altar doesn't make sense either because it's just… impractical in the Greek sense. You are wasting a scarf, to put it plainly. But if you make something for one deity then give it to the deity, don't wear it yourself.

I'll tackle a few more specifics now. I think you already know what they mean so I will give my opinion on them rather than explaining them. I think my opinion is shared by many Greeks.

hellenismos -> I am not sure if it's appropriation but it's surely inaccurate. Here is why, for those who wonder, with some suggestions on how to call yourself. (hint: Hellenic Polytheist is fine)

on how to be respectful and accurate: I always recommend reading as many ancient Greek texts as possible the view of the gods directly from the ancient worshipers themselves. You can read whatever texts interest you, including plays. Plays are my favourite source, to be honest. Understand on your own what the text says. The Hymn to Demeter is focused on the pain of a mother, which is pretty obvious, you are under no obligation to hear Kate the TikToker who insists on something different. You don't have to hear YouTubers who tell you Zeus is an asshole when ancient texts show us the opposite, and give a good context on why he does what he does.

altars/shrines -> The altars I've seen are usually fine, so I think western polytheists have this down. The ancient ones would be more homogenous but in our era the religion is unorganized so it's up to the individual to create an altar. Greeks still have altars in their homes as a continuation of our polytheist practices and they also have some variation. Generally, all good here.

khernips -> χέρνιψ literally translates to "washer of hands". It's a Greek practice to have clean hands before touching any sacred objects, either in Dodekatheism or in Christianity. We do not always follow it but it's important. Our old custom is also to wash hands, face, and feet before entering our Christian temples (that's why there are κρήνες outside many of them) but that's not practiced anymore because our hygiene is overall better and we already visit the temple while clean.

The cleansing part will feel natural for most Greeks and not unfit for the whole procedure. You can also cleanse items with water if the purification ritual says so. Don't lose sleep over it. Remember practicality. Khernips is just water with which you wash your hands and you can do it before a meal, like we do today. It is meant to keep you clean but doesn't bear any spiritual force - it's not like the holy water of Christians which is imbued with divine power. It's just water included in a practice that helps the religious person get ready for spiritual time.

Also! Khernips doesn't mean that you wash the whole body! It's second part, νήβω / nivo = rub is connected to cleaning body parts. For the cleanliness of the whole body we used/use "λούω / λούζω". Fun fact, on of the greatest christian temples Hagia Sofia, had a reminder outside the gate with the same verb, and it was an anagram. "ΝΙΨΟΝ ΑΝΟΜΗΜΑΤΑ ΜΗ ΜΟΝΑΝ ΟΨΙΝ", meaning "wash your sins, too, not just your face". This anagram is found in other Christian sites, as well.

prayers -> Any prayer is good. There are only a few ways a prayer can go "wrong", since there's not a subscription for that. For example a prayer has to usually praise the magnanimity of the deity, even if you are just doing it to ask something, but words from the heart are also fine. Zeus won't smite you if you include him in a phrase without praising him first.

devotees -> Afaik this was a rare phenomenon in antiquity and it's only nowadays that Westerners decided that everyone is a devotee, which looks weird to Greeks because being a devotee doesn't work exactly like Westerners do it. You don't get to pick one god, talk 99% of the time about that god, or worship just them and not recognize the whole pantheon, or just give little attention to them.

Ancient Greek towns and people had gods they were closer to, for sure, but from what I know they didn't have the same concept as modern foreign worshipers today. They were not "αφιερωμένοι"/devoted, unless they devoted their life to a deity by serving in their temple. The devoted/devotees were not everyday people.

The everyday people felt closer to some gods in the way someone can have a saint or a prophet that they align themselves with, that they feel like they can see themselves on them, or that these gods see them, or that they are related to their struggles, or have given them some sort of protection. A cultivator of vineyards will probably feel closer to Dionysus, while a fisherman to Poseidon, and a warrior to Ares. It's the same for Christian Greeks, since each of the saints has one domain and we call on them depending on our needs.

I mean, it's okay if modern people want to make new things, but we should also be clear on the nature of the ancient practice.

tarot/oracle cards, pendulums -> They are unrelated to the practice. They are just recent elements of western spiritual fascination, and the ancient Greek religion is already complete without them. If Apollo chooses to reveal himself through tarot he may as well reveal himself on a toaster xD A toaster is as related to the ancient Greek religion as much as tarot cards.

kharis -> Some Westerners overhype foreign words that are, in reality, very simple terms. Kharis is just "the grace of god" and the concept is similar to the grace spoken in Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. Kharis is not lost if you forget to wash your hands once, or if you are afraid that the item you placed on the altar is not good enough. You don't have to tiptoe around it, it's not something incomprehensible and mystical.

miasma -> Nobody asked for it but I am delivering it anyways because I see many new people to the religion treat miasma like they are 5th-century Greeks who will be punished by the plague if they menstruate too close to the altar. I've seen endless discussions online about what miasma is and all the detailed ways that you can avoid it, and how to cleanse everything and... as a 21st-century practitioner you are not supposed to be that fearful. In the Πλυντήρια festival, the statue of Athena goddess was washed clean but also cleansed metaphorically by people's sins. And you can cleanse your statues as well of course but not with the mindset of considering yourself unclean. Do not follow every advice from ancient people who thought women unclean when menstruating. Ironically, this post and this post from r/hellenism have a good approach to this. As one user says:

people who practice in secret -> I don't have particular thoughts for them. If they must hide their spirituality for reasons beyond their control, it's natural for them to do so. I wish them the best in their spiritual journey.

Also, when it comes to the practices of the ancient Greek religion, Google Scholar is your friend. Read a variety of scholars and please include Greek ones on your reading list. Western academia focuses a lot on what the myth means to The West today, while Greek academia focuses on what the myths meant in their time. Some classical students report that studying classics in Greece VS in the US can be night and day, and they got a more authentic feeling from the knowledge they gained from the Greek classes.

Under the deal now being negotiated by the White House, TikTok's China-based owner ByteDance would retain a minority stake in the company, but the app's algorithm, data collection and software updates will be overseen by Oracle, which already provides the foundation of TikTok's web infrastructure. Thatwould effectively mean American investors would own a majority stake in TikTok, butthe terms of the deal could change and are still being hammered out. "The goal is for Oracle to effectively monitor and provide oversight with what is going on with TikTok," said the person directly involved in the talks, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the deliberations. "ByteDance wouldn't completely go away, but it would minimize Chinese ownership."

Tim Stokely, founder of the adult content platform OnlyFans, has submitted an eleventh-hour proposal to buy TikTok’s US operations from its Chinese owner, ByteDance.

The “intent to bid” was made by Zoop—a social media startup Stokely cofounded with RJ Phillips, who serves as CEO and has a background in influencer marketing strategy—and cryptocurrency company The Hbar Foundation. For Zoop, the bid “represents a David vs. Goliath moment against traditional social media giants by endorsing a creator-first revolution,” according to a statement the company shared with WIRED. They said they want to put power back in the hands of creators through better revenue sharing.

ByteDance is up against the clock. If the company does not agree to a proposal from a US buyer by April 5, TikTok will be banned in the US under a law that went into effect in January citing national security concerns.

“The process is actually very unique; it’s being run by the White House and not by ByteDance,” Phillips tells WIRED, declining to comment further on the particulars of how the Zoop bid came about. “Our external council found the right person for us to initiate conversations with and that's what we've done.” Stokely did not respond to a request for comment.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump was scheduled to consider multiple offers during a closed-door Oval Office meeting with vice president JD Vance and US secretary of commerce Howard Lutnick, who are spearheading the sale. His plan to keep TikTok operating in the US was reportedly going to be announced late that day, according to The Information.

The US government’s concerns around TikTok purportedly stem from fears that the Chinese government could access Americans’ data. But partnering with Hbar could potentially work in Zoop's favor; the company’s statement says Hbar operates the Hedera network, “a secure, transparent, and enterprise-grade public ledger” blockchain technology based in the US.

Stokely and Phillips are perhaps the most surprising of the suitors gunning for control of the popular video app.

“We’ve been looking at social for a long time, given our past. We want to restructure the industry in a way that we think is equitable,” Phillips tells WIRED, brushing away speculation that Zoop’s offer came together at the last minute. “Creators bring eyeballs to the pages, and therefore they should be the ones sharing in the lion’s share of the ad revenue. Users that are engaging with that content should also be the ones benefiting.”

Amazon also put in a last-minute offer to buy TikTok this week, joining four other groups that the White House was considering for the sale of TikTok’s US operations, Reuters reported. According to the The New York Times, the Amazon bid is not being taken seriously. One of the other possible deals floating around, per the Times, includes bringing on a team of US investors that includes Larry Ellison’s Oracle and private equity firm Blackstone.

There is also the possibility that an American investment team purchases TikTok while ByteDance retains ownership of TikTok’s algorithm and leases it to the prospective buyer. China has given no indication that it would be willing to sell the app’s algorithm, and exporting that type of technology would require its sign-off as part of a host of restrictions introduced in 2020.

Phillips says they are invested in building platforms that truly prioritize creators.

“Tech platforms for businesses like this should merely be the facilitator for creators. Creators have a hard enough time making steady income,” he says. “For us it's always going to focus on creators first, and not on shareholders first.”

We will soon know whether or not the Trump administration aligns with that vision.

The short video app has yet to appear on the tech companies’ app stores, reflecting an unease about the White House executive order that has given TikTok the confidence to resume operations after temporarily shuttering the service on 18 January. Apple and Google do not appear to agree. In China, ByteDance runs a sister app, Douyin. Oracle, the cloud computing provider that delivers the app’s content, has not pulled the plug in the US. Larry Ellison, Oracle’s founder and the world’s fourth richest person, with a $209bn (£167bn) fortune, has been suggested by Trump as a potential buyer of TikTok. Indeed, Ellison was present at a press conference last week where Trump suggested he buy it, saying it sounded like a “good deal”. On Saturday NPR reported that Trump was working on a deal to buy TikTok’s global operations that involved Oracle, although the president then pushed back on that scenario, saying he was not in talks with the company.

While TikTok is back operating in the USA, the app is not back in app stores such as Google Play Store and Apple App Store, which means that TikTok cannot be downloaded or updated from an app store at this time.

Technically, all of big tech, from Microsoft, Oracle, Meta, etc are all trying to buy it and all of them are going big on the AI boom, but Larry Ellison has been the name that's not cracking mainstream even as he's been appearing more and more in headlines aligning himself with the current administration along with his stance on surveillance.

It should be noted that Oracle's stance is that they currently supply cloud infrastructure to Tiktok as of this moment and are attempting to leverage that for their purchase of it.

Meta also attempted to lure Tiktok users away with cash bonuses for those who would swap platforms (eligible users able to receive up to $5k) which was seen as a sign that they weren't confident they could get the deal in the end.

This seems to have had an impact on their stock not continuously exploding like most other big tech that was considered in the running to purchase it (Musk's companies are odd, with Tesla seeing a noticeable shift downwards while Twitter's has continued to trend up but there's a chance that might be a misleading as its debt is being put up for sale and there's a chance people are trying to position themselves to try to sell on that).
