Im back after being busy for fuck knows how long doing stuff.

Im glad to see the new baby is doing fine!! I remember Stinkbug everytime the baby my mother is babysitting comes over. I get the good ol baby fever and gotta remind myself that neither Di or I are prepared for that sort of thing the way we wish it to work out. Gotta keep myself on birth control.

Speaking of all matters reproductive and hormonal, some days ago I had to take care of Di because once again I've discovered that you can get yourself the symptoms of a light brain concussion by fucking (and/or cumming) too hard when youre fatigued. My poor boyfriend laid there with a migraine after vomiting. Had me worried out of my mind but once we had a nap, took a painkiller, ate some pasta, drank some water and got some fresh air, he was a bit better.

His knees still hurt tho. And my back in unbearable. Remember my thing about doing questionable stuff in the shower?? Yeah, didnt learn the first time. Little miss broken shins went and actually screwed someone on the shower this time. Or rather, I got screwed in a shower and my back fucking haaaaated it.

Also completely unrelated but I think I had forgotten to tell you Di had his own "reverse Feral", as in, far (brazilian but lives in Dutchland) foreign internet best friend that goes on his own main character misadventures, and asks him advice instead of giving it. His name is Upbeat and he also has that dry, aware, deadpan, silly and likeble vibe, although he probably also thinks he's terrible, ugly and unlikeable although you guys are not. I think you guys would get along. And he also is into dominant fat girls.

I know I should tell you to not do that again, but the two of you actually managing to fuck each other to death or at least injury is actually kind of impressive. But do not do that again.

Also yeah I can't tell you enough, do not have a baby yet. I'm not even being a hypocrite about it, we too would be so fucking fucked if it weren't for the finnish welfare/healthcare/social service systems. The finnish system works to ensure that nobody ends up homeless unless they specifically go out of their way to do so, not because they care but because that's cheaper for the state than having a homeless problem. My medications and disability support come through welfare, the old family matriarch is on state pension, maternity care and child support come from the system. With the famous "baby box" thing you can choose between the baby goods or a specific sum of money, and we're applying for the money this time because Stinkbug's newborn clothes are still perfectly good.

Needing the baby support funds for grocery money, and having our second child wearing hand-me-downs from the day she's born (we still don't know the sex but I'm hoping for another girl) is about as rough as life in Finland gets, if you don't go out of your way to fuck your life up. We couldn't do this anywhere else.

Submitting for HSS Appreciation Week 2025: Day 1 Meet Our MCs (and OCs) and Day 4 Friendship, Family, and Berry High Unity @hss-appreciation-events

🪢How did they bond with their parent(s)/guardian(s) in childhood? Do they still bond that way?

For Evie: There are lots of activites she and Scott love doing together, mostly basic but still meaningful stuff. Watching movies with her, reading to her, sometimes her reading to him, sometimes joining in when she's playing with toys, playing board games together, letting her play with his model train sets, etc. They do still bond that way often.

For Cher: Her favorite bonding activity is her and Bear helping out their parents with cooking and coming up with new recipies they could add to the Golden Griddle menu. They definitely still do it nowadays.

😤Did they ever intentionally go against their parent(s)/guardian(s) in a fit of defiance? What did they do?

I haven't thought of that for either of them yet. I feel like Evie has done that at least once with Scott though. He may be very kind and warm and not overly strict, but there are definitely going to have been times where he has been more disciplinary. Depending on the situation, Evie may see it as unfair and act out accordingly. She doesn't take kindly to that kind of stuff.

🤔What are things they picked up from their parent(s)/guardian(s) that weren’t intentionally taught?

Evie definitely picked up her cautious tendencies from Scott. He and Evie's birth mom Rani were planning on divorcing while Rani was pregnant, due to her realizing she was not up to being a parent while Scott really wanted to be a parent. But she agreed to carry the baby to term because she knew how much Scott wanted it. Scott insisted a lot that she shouldn't have to because she didn't want this in the first place. Rani told him he needs to trust her decision.

Evie never resented her parents for any of this, but she kinda missed the actual moral of that story. It shows as later on in her and Aiden's relationship she starts to worry that Aiden only gets into certain things like GNC clothing styles and some of her kinks just because he knows she likes them, she worries about him actually being uncomfy with those things. And Aiden will tell her that she needs to trust his decisions.

⚔️Are they protective of their sibling(s)? Are their sibling(s) protective of them?

Cher and Bear are definitely protective of each other. However, both always lightheartedly insist to one another that they can fend for themselves and don't need protection.

Sometimes Evie has felt a bit lonely without a sibling. But other times, she'll read/watch certain media that portrays a sibling doing something invasive or destructive (think "Arthur's Big Hit" for instance) and she'll be like "yeah this makes me glad I'm an only child".

🌍How did being a twin/triplet/etc. impact their relationship to their parent(s)/guardian(s), their twin/siblings, and the world?

Hmm I haven't yet fully thought of that for Cher. I think Cher would really appreciate it because she likes that she'll always have someone her age to connect to and be by her side. She knows she won't always be on the same brain-wavelength with her parents or the outside world, and while she doesn't always see eye-to-eye with Bear, he's much closer to her and understands her the best.

🔮Do they have any “family curses”? Are they real?

None that I know of. It is possible that Evie has been cursed to inherit Scott's "dad jokes" tendencies though. And it would get passed down onto her and Aiden's kids, and then their kids...

🙏Are there things about their family they wish were different?

Not quite, but I do headcanon Cher had very conflicted feelings in the Book 3 subplot about MC and Twin wanting to know about their birth parents and meet their aunt Wendy. Part of her would have been curious to learn more about her blood relatives, but part of her would have also been a bit anxious and guilty that wanting to know about her blood relatives would mean that she was "ungrateful" for her adoptive parents.

It's like, when she learns about her parents from stuff like that journal, part of her would be wishing they hadn't passed away and that she had gotten to have them in her life because they truly seemed very nice to her. But her adoptive parents are also amazing and she doesn't want to wish that they weren't her parents or anything like that. So yea, very conflicting for her.

💛What’s their favorite story that their parent(s)/guardian(s) have told?

I have yet to figure this out. I definitely think Scott tells Evie lots of stories (both fictional ones from books and real life ones from his own experiences) but I'm not sue what Evie's favorite would have been.

Evie would consider Aiden's family to be hers as well. Especially with how they come to respect and value her after the Isa incident.

I think Evie would sometimes be a bit jealous of two-parent families. Scott is great and she loves him, but sometimes she feels it would be nice to have had a second parent figure probably for the different perspective.

he gets mad when people try to make him get out of bed or invade his personal space. he also hates certain medicines and prefers to eat specific foods that he wouldn't eat otherwise ("they're sick foods, why would i eat them if i'm not sick?")

he's not very skilled at taking care of sick people. he just listens to what they want and ask for, and he doesnt try and bug them unless he truly feels like he needs to (ex. if someone is violently coughing their lungs out or throwing up)

Gluttony: he's reduced to a baby. thats it thats the tweet /j

he tries to stay in bed for the most part, but he does also do his regular work out routines and makes his own food. he typically just makes a stew or a salad for himself and only drinks warm things when he's sick. he's the type of guy that you kind of have to force into bed instead of running around and doing stuff

when it comes to taking care of others he coddles them a ton 😭. he makes their food, makes sure they're okay, and stays close so they don't have to go very far to ask for something. he'll encourage them to do some workouts with him but he respects it if they dont want to

Pride (guys pretend its yellow plz): he's dramatic asf but we love him. he complains a lot about his sickness and makes it known that he isn't happy about it in the slightest. unlike wrath he enjoys getting all the extra attention especially if they make him feel superior even while sick

when it comes to taking care of people it's kind of like tough love. he really only takes care of people he truly cares about and even after that it's followed with a "you should be glad i spent time out of my day to take care of you!" but he does take the time to actually make sure you're okay. he feeds you the medicine himself and probably tries to make you feel fancy, even if you're all stuffy and snotty

envy's already kind of bad at taking care of himself, so when he's sick it's pretty bad. he has to practically drag himself out of bed to make himself food or to just use the bathroom, and he either forgets to take medication or takes an awkward amount of it. it's safe to say that a caregiver would benefit him, but he hates being a burden to anyone, and he doesn't like feeling vulnerable either

he worries a lot when it comes to taking care of another person while they're sick. he tries not to come off as pushy or annoying as he tries to make them feel better, but sometimes that doesn't work. he's not a great cook but he does follow some recipes for the person so they can at least eat some good food

Greed: ew. anyway

i think greed would probably hate being sick since he feels like nobody actually takes him seriously, which ticks him off because he likes to have power, and a lot of people don't take him seriously in the first place. he doesn't like to come off as weak either

however if he was taking care of someone else i feel like he'd be so overly nice it's uncomfortable. it feels more like a fake kindness than anything, and of course he'd find a way to fuck around with you any chance he could get.

Sloth: sloth is pretty prone to falling sick. he's very similar to envy, not really taking care of himself properly, but he does a lot of sleeping. i think he'd probably end up sleeping more than he already does while hes sick.

he's always kind of in a daze when he's sick. he's honestly in a daze in general but it seems like whenever he's awake he's dissociated or just delirious

he's pretty bad at taking care of people however he does have good intentions. he makes the bed as comfy as he can, but he is pretty lazy so he's probably not the best person to be taking care of someone. he does get the person whatever they want if they ask for it though.

Lust: he tends to be kind of dramatic too, but not as dramatic as pride. he loves self care and making sure that he's healthy, so he reminds himself to take medication and even logs when he takes it so he can measure how much time should pass before he takes another. he likes eating oatmeal and other soups for the most part, and he's likely drinking broth or some hot chocolate.

when he takes care of people he pampers them with everything they could possibly need. he logs everything in a notebook so he knows when the person needs to take more medication, and he's there for comfort and company. he feels pretty alone when he's sick, so he wants to make sure that the person feels happy despite not being in the best shape.

Someone anyone pls. My boyfriend has unfortunately had his phone broken so I haven't been talking with him, and I feel so lonely 😞 Also ALL OF MY FRIENDS LIVES ARE CRUMBLING APART?? My friend just broke up with her boyfriend, because of her mental health, but I suspect that it might be because of the boy she's been flirting with on the side. My other friends sibling is breaking up with their douche of a man, thank goodness. Two OTHER friends, who are literally bestfriend and have been for years, have been fighting eith eachother amd separating from our little group?? Also my dads been talking about death and I find myself looking at baby pictures of me and him with my grandma and great grandma, crying about thinkinf that I'm gonna be the only one alive in that picture some day. It also dawned on me that he's like the only person that I KNOW I'll have until we perish. We were watching mamma mia, and the whole time I kept thinking that I wished my mom loved me like Donna loved her daughter, and mentioned how I'd like to move into a little island or something. I guess my dad saw me holding back tears during the "slipping through my fingers" song, because he told me we could move to Alaska just he and I. (That's his dream place) PLEASE IM SOBBING THINKING ABT THE FACT HES NEVER BEEN.

Anyways, it made me think of my goal in life, and its to someday bring my dad to Alaska with me. Regardless if hes with me, just inside an urn. (I'm being so dead serious, I love my dad even if I went through some shit for most of my childhood. He's like the only person in my life who has stepped up, and made an actual change in his behavior for MY sake. It's admirable, and I've always been my fathers daughter. I'm just more proud to say it now after everything hes been through, and the changes hes gone through for my well being.)

THE THING ABOUT skin game ch2. is that it's pretty rough. i had a look at it the last time something prompted me to think about the fic and it's not really presentable (i don't know if i even finished editing it back in ….. 6 years ago… oh god). it also doesn't have all of its art (which might be a blessing in disguise given the art it does have is …. 6 years old… oh god)

getting it to a state i consider readable would take a good chunk of work, which is why i put it off again after looking at it. it's almost 12 thousand words of … uhhh… shall we say… unnnnpolished material. i think i couldn't even share it privately because i would be embarrassed to show someone something so unfinished and janky. not to mention not having all of its art finished. so i got kind of stuck last time and just put it off again bc the amount of work it very obviously needed was like. "Christ OK Not Now" yknow…

it does bolster the spirit when i remember you and your friends. it means a lot to me that you care about it even after so long!!! i just have NO idea when i'm going to get around to editing something of that magnitude @_@ i was really a dummy about chapter lengths back then… HFDBHJGJMK

it's really kind of a shame too becahse chapter 1 and 2 together are sort of the introductory portion for our 2 primary characters. so it feels like only half of the intro is done right now. since ch1 detailed how kyrie ended up at that plaza meeting takano, ch2 would detail how takano ended up there, meeting kyrie. and then we would proceed into the future from there. as a renowned Takano Guy, obviously i was very interested in this, but for various reasons i never finished polishing it and drawing the art…

ch2 also features ikuko so you KNOW its dear to me

overall being like 5-6 yrs old theres a disconnect where i don't feel like ch2 right now is achieving what it should, and i see a lot of concrete problems with concrete solutions, but it's an editing of such Magnitude that it keeps being pushed back in favor of other stuff. oh, ephemeral soul…

some of the art i did get done for it is pretty cute though, like these baby miyos;

so that's pretty good, but i didnt FINISH drawing the art, ARGHH

it is really hard to say. bc when i KNOW there's people out there who remember it and care about it, that does motivate me to return to it. but it has a lot of stuff that needs doing, and is a very old project, so it's unclear to me right now when it would receive the attention it desperately needs before it can be shown to other people... i super can't in clear conscience accept anything like payment/etc for that kind of vague half-promise either, although i appreciate the thought xD

i'm sorry it's such an inconclusive answer, but i am sort of an inconclusive guy when it comes to projects... i jump around a lot as i'm sure you've observed in your time following me 😭 it's important to me to have that freedom, but i do care about SG too, so we just sort of have to see if i can surmount the magnitude of the work i accidentally set up for myself half a decade ago (*turning into stone*)
