I just feel like they should have given someone who was trustable in the fandom a flash drive of all the unseen Gallavich scenes. Someone who would share the content slowly over time. You know instead of just erasing it all and having it burn down with the Shameless set.

Note
“As much as I love the content we got out of Ireland I think it was a HUGE misstep for the press tour.”
This is going to be long.
This made me think about the press tour strategy, which was certainly planned since the beginning, way before January, I would imagine. And I’m thinking about the days the cast spent in NY in January doing media training and tour prep. And things are starting to make more sense to me about how this whole thing went down.
So, their pre-part 1 press was all focused on the Friends to Lovers trope in all their interviews. They were playful, showing up their chemistry and talking about the parallels with Polin and their history.
Then Part 1 drops and Colin proposes. So then the strategy for press in the month between Part 1 and Part 2 became “Polin are engaged and we’re preparing for their wedding”. That’s where we started to get more “couple” focused press/interviews/shoots in Brazil (engagement shoots, day drinking, drunk red carpet, fuck me eyes at each other). Then after Brazil they started to make the “meet the family before the wedding/prepare for the wedding” rounds, and that’s where things started to really escalate in the progression from Toronto to Ireland to London.
In Toronto Luke and Nic literally met some of her family, and we got the Gosling jealousy interview, and other content where the vibe between them very much gave “couple”. The audience had seen the electricity of the carriage scene and the proposal so we were all primed to devour the content showing them be cute and affectionate with each other during Part 2 press.
In Dublin and Galway the promo threw gas on the fire and we all exploded. Their outfits started outright matching, they’re walking the Dublin red carpet like Royalty, and Nic/Pen had brought her fiancée home to show him her country. In Dublin we also started talking about Polin baby names and “meeting the family”. We got Luke/Colin showing a ton of enthusiasm, more than he’s shown at any point on the tour.
Galway was just next level with the “meet the family” and “were engaged!” (Colin voice) promo. We got the wrap up produced Netflix video, and a public “meet my mom” moment for Pen/Nicola that was heart warming and her family literally cheered at Luke’s hug with her mom. Galway was also where “the engagement ring” was introduced - Nicola’s Bridgerton inspired collaboration with Chupi.
So where are we now heading into the London premiere and the home stretch? Proposal, engagement shoots, meeting the extended family, showing ourselves off with matching outfits in front of hundreds of our friends/supporters, talking about baby names, picking up the engagement ring after our “swift” proposal, showing my fiancée around my hometown, and meeting the immediate family.
We’re ready for the wedding. Enter London premiere.
Nicola/Pen in an actual wedding dress with a veil wearing a ring on her ring finger, and Luke/Colin in a coordinating suit, holding hands and taking pics with the entire Bridgerton family and the rest of the ton, including the Queen. The optics couldn’t be more clear. The London premiere represented the culmination of the press tour strategy to show the progression of Polin from friends to lovers to engaged, to meeting the family, to preparing for the wedding, to the wedding.
And Nicola and Luke did their jobs very well. Too well in fact because there are real feelings there. And Shondaland/Netflix and everyone involved with Bridgerton knows that. The blurring of the lines was bound to happen, and I have to believe the press tour planners knew that. Given that the S3 directors intentionally blurred the lines between the actors and characters when trying to elicit authentic reactions from Luke. Hell, even Nicola did it when she said she wanted to get Luke’s/Colin’s authentic reaction to seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time.
So, as a press tour strategy, I don’t think anything was a misstep. I think the tour was a smashing success from a marketing perspective and achieved exactly what Netflix/Shondaland wanted and now I get why they were willing to invest millions into the tour - they knew Nic/Pen and Luke/Colin would deliver.
As a fan, though, and a Lukola shipper who loves both of them individually, I’m not sure how to feel. I think it’s safe to say Nic and Luke knew the strategy from the beginning and delivered elite press tour performances because they are amazing on-screen partners. As a pairing they create magic in everything they do (just look at the awestruck faces of some of the crowd in the backdrop of their Dublin red carpet). But how much of “the magic” was a performance and how much was genuine? I’m not even talking about their natural chemistry - I’m talking more about the heart eyes, and the longing stares, etc.
Now that all of this has happened since the literal day after the London premiere on June 13 and Luke has (maybe) returned to his pre-tour shenanigans, I’m questioning everything. And I think it’s just going to take a while to process. Thanks for reading 🫠
I really appreciate you sharing this anon 💜
I will recant my previous wording as you are right it was not a misstep but very much intentional.
Naturally my feelings turn to disgust to see this be the case.
As you said above, Shonda, Netflix, production team, etc know and have seen that there is clearly something more going on here between L and N.
Remove the idea that they have either admitted it, recognized it or even acted on it. People can see it, it's palpable at times.
Even though N and L went into this press tour knowing what would be expected of them it still feels like their genuine feelings were prostituted for ratings.
It also makes me wonder just what gimmick they will try for S4 press.
If there will be a world tour for it.
This one was clearly a success but would it have been without the underlying circumstances?

I'm finishing up a Rolan proposal fic for a very patient anon & ended up with this little scene between Rolan and Dammon that I don't think I'll use. Thought I'd post it here as a drabble! 💗
Rings
Rolan commissions a very particular piece for his beloved from the infernal blacksmith. [541 words]
------------------
“Are you sure it’s the right size?”
Rolan turned the smooth metal over in his hand, trying to compare it against his own fingers for reference. The material gleamed luminous and silver-blue even under the shade of Dammon’s open workshop.
“It’ll fit,” Dammon told him with surety. He wiped a hand on his apron and watched with no little pride as Rolan examined his past weeks’ handiwork. “I forged a few pairs of gauntlets for them back in the day. I’d like to think I know a thing or two about Tav’s hands. Professionally,” he hastened to add, perhaps noting the way Rolan’s brow twitched.
“Maybe so, but—”
“I know, I know. Tav deserves perfection.” Dammon gave his placid smile.
“Yes.” A bit chagrined by the obvious strength of his feelings, Rolan made no other response. As he turned the band over again, his eyes caught very fine lettering engraved around the inner surface. He peered closer—the marks were Infernal.
“Ah.” Dammon shifted nervously on his feet. “I hope you don’t mind the addition. It just—came to me.”
“‘Strength in Unity’,” Rolan translated under his breath. He glanced up at Dammon. “The watchwords of Elturel?”
Dammon rubbed the back of his neck in a characteristic gesture, but a shadow passed over his face. “You know, in terms of cities and their mottos…that one always rang a bit hollow to my ear. After everything.” He exchanged a long glance with Rolan. “If anyone deserves to reclaim the words, I thought it ought to be the two of you.”
Rolan stared back down at the ring on his palm. In a rare moment, he found himself rather lost for words. Then he slipped it carefully into the pouch at his belt and began counting out gold pieces.
The smith raised a hand, but Rolan cut him off before he could start. “Dammon, whatever the hells you’re about to say, keep it to yourself. This is fine work, and I’ll be damned if you don’t take the other half of the fee.”
“Couldn’t you consider it a wedding gift? For the two people responsible for getting me to Baldur’s Gate in one piece. Or even,” Dammon proposed hastily, “a reward for letting me work with such rare material.”
“Then keep what’s left over,” Rolan told him. He tucked his coin away as the idea for a compromise sprang to mind. “Make something incredible from it.”
“That—” Dammon’s eyes grew wide for a moment. “That’s quite generous. Do I even want to know how you found such a pure chunk of mithril?”
“We have friends in the Underdark,” Rolan answered tersely. “I may have…funded a small expedition.”
Dammon only gave a low whistle. If anyone could grasp the cost of such an undertaking, it was a blacksmith. Then he extended a calloused hand, and Rolan clasped it in a wordless agreement.
Finding the matter resolved, Rolan turned toward the front gate of the forge. The gleaming ring stored at his belt had introduced a very distracting flurry of butterflies into his stomach.
“Hold on there—” Dammon stooped to fetch something from underneath his work bench. As he straightened, a small hide bag sailed through the air into Rolan’s surprised grasp.
“You’ll be needing the other one.”

Problems with "The Search" Comic
Retconning Ursa's backstory
Some old lore about Ursa, before the comic came out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Admittedly, this page conflates "royalty" with "nobility," which extends to Mai and Onji's page.
Contrast these excerpts to the Search. (SPOILERS AHEAD! And Long!)
"Born to Fire Nation royalty [nobility] and - raised as such."
Search! Ursa: Her family went into hiding after Roku's death. She grew up as a commoner in Hira'a - a small, remote 'backwater village' located on the far edge of the Fire Nation. Her father, Jinzuk worked as the town's magistrate, and her mother, Rina was a master herbalist. Her mother is the daughter of Avatar Roku and has his headpiece in her possession.
"She was the perfect match for Prince Ozai and soon became his wife"
Search! Ursa: Azulon and Ozai track down Avatar Roku's (supposedly remaining) descendants and possibly monitor them for months. They (forcibly) propose a union between Ursa and Ozai for eugenics purposes.
In a nutshell, her relation to Avatar Roku is enough to qualify her as the perfect match.
Tumblr media
"There was a time when it probably wasn't such a bad marriage. I think they probably started okay. Certainly better than it ended up."
Search! Ursa: She didn't want to marry Ozai, she wanted to marry her one true love, Ikem but she didn't get much of a say. And come the wedding, Ozai drops a massive bombshell on her.
In short, it starts out as a bad marriage, to put it mildly.
Tumblr media
Someone on TV tropes (Fridge Horror section. Be Warned!) posited that "started out okay" can mean anything. And that "okay" doesn't mean happy or willing.
To that I say, it's a massive stretch to claim this scene is equivalent to "started out okay." Okay is not another word for utterly miserable! Words similar to okay can range from alright, pleasant, acceptable or tolerable. So, "started out okay" and the conveniently ignored "better than it ended up" doesn't apply to the Search.
"She is a very sweet woman and a wonderful mother, but she is also very protective -- especially of her favorite child Zuko" ... "Ursa spent most of her time raising her children to be good Fire Nation citizens and the ideal royal family."
Search! Ursa: The comics intentionally or unintentionally avoid portraying Ursa as an imperialist but don't contradict that she taught Zuko and Azula Fire Nation Propaganda offscreen.
She didn't seem to care about being the "ideal royal" herself, privately at least.
For instance, she writes that infamous letter falsely citing Ikem as Zuko's father to spite Ozai among other reasons. Most damningly, she sees her life in the palace as "a life that [she] did not choose for herself," leading to the infamous memory wipe. Both examples have attracted critics, hence the "infamous" connotation, and arguably butcher her 'protective mother' characterisation.
Zuko Alone Ursa: Zuko. That's what moms are like. If you mess with their babies, humph, they're gonna bite you back! [Later on] Ursa: Zuko, please, my love, listen to me. Everything I've done, I've done to protect you. Remember this, Zuko. No matter how things may seem to change, never forget who you are. DoBS pt 2Ozai: My father, Fire Lord Azulon, had commanded me to do the unthinkable to you, my own son, and I was going to do it. Your mother found out and swore she would protect you at any cost. She knew I wanted the throne and she proposed a plan, a plan in which I would become Fire Lord and your life would be spared. [Later] Your mother did vicious, treasonous things that night. She knew the consequences and accepted them. For her treason, she was banished. "She (Ursa) kind of saved Zuko's life by doing something not very nice to Fire Lord Azulon" ~ Mike "Ursa mysteriously disappeared on the same night as Fire Lord Azulon's death. Some say that she was somehow involved in Fire Lord Azulon's death -- and that she did it to protect Zuko. But the truth is not known."
Search! Ursa: Despite these quotes stressing her role in Azulon's death and clearly implying that she murdered him, that role is given to Ozai. Instead, Search! Ursa merely makes the plan and a deadly poison, all because the writers didn't want her hands dirty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is it just me or is this scene so rushed? What happened to the "swore she would protect you at any cost" line?
Why does she assume she'll get to take her children, even though they are his heirs?
And then there's Ozai's response: he calls them, his collateral and has no problem referring to them as your children. He even threatens their lives, along with Ursa's, if she doesn’t keep her word.
Aside from how stupid it is for him to say that, it begs the question of why he didn't kill Ursa afterwards? He just lets her walk free when she's a loose end to him. Plot hole much!
So, Ursa's mum taught her how to make that poison - okay, in the vein of "what kind of mother forgets her children", what kind of mother teaches her daughter how to make an extremely deadly poison? Literally, no one talks about that!

More thoughts on part 2...
I'm about to watch Polin scenes ep 1-8 again. But I was thinking...
They did try to pack a lot into this season, just for Polin alone:
-Becoming friends again after Colin talked bad about her last season.
-Her trying to find a husband and him helping her.
-Their first kiss. His "oh shit, I'm in love with her?" spiral.
-Him ruining her potential engagement, the carriage scene, and the proposal.
-Lovey-dovey stuff, then Colin finding out about LW and him struggling to accept the two sides of Pen: his life-long friend and LW.
-The wedding. Colin's jealousy of Pen because she has a purpose and he's still not sure what his purpose really is.
-Then the blackmail and LW reveal to the ton.
All of it needed to happen this season. Imagine waiting 2 full years to wait before any of these Polin plotlines were resolved if they had extended them to season 4?
But that's sooo much story for 8 episodes where there are so many characters also sharing the screen.
Okay, gonna rewatch, I heard the Polin storyline hits great when you watch it all at once =) definitely will post more later!

tale as old as time - p.gasly
the art of attraction series — part one
Tumblr media
masterlist
warnings: fluff
a/n: decided to provide the wedding scene!!! I have some other little fics working around the first part as well! xx
age 23 & 25
the proposal
he’s always known he was going to propose. it was when was the hardest part of the question to answer. folks back home both yours and his family always eagerly searching for a ring on your finger. he knows your antsy, seeing friends and extended family members get the beautiful diamond ring and begin to start families. you’d longed for that idea, but you’d wait for whenever Pierre found the timing to be right.
it was summer break when Pierre asked pascale leclerc and Lornezo, your eldest brother, for permission. with teary eyes, it was an easy yes from the two of them. he now only needed your answer.
you’re in your hotel bed. makeup removed and dessert from a local bakery sit mixed in the comforters of the bed, you two are snacking amongst yourself when he turns to you.
his eyes say every word he wants to say. with tears brimming the rims, your mouth curls into a smile knowing what’s next. he says he wants more nights like this, and says he can’t imagine anybody else he’d love more than you.
“y/n leclerc, will you marry me?”
“yes.”
age 25 & 27 (now)
the gasly’s.
Charles watches his best friend pace the floor of the tiny church room. he’s sure Arthur and Lorenzo have you safe from a nervous spiral, while Charles struggles to find words to calm his best friend before the best day of his life.
he knows these nerves aren’t bad thoughts. rather, excited for the future and the big celebration. months, years, of preparation went into this wedding. from the flowers all the way down to the shoes you both wore, all the details were planned out.
part of Pierre wants none of the traditions. he doesn’t care for the ministers approval and the shitty piano music his mother got teary eyed about.
“do you think you can get ordained as a minister?”
“like now?”
Pierre shoots Charles a pointed look, “why would I ask if it wasn’t for right now?”
Charles frantically pulls out his phone, nervous hands shaking as he types it in the safari. he becomes ordained in a matter of minutes and soon enough he’s pulling you out of your bridal party with Lorenzo and Arthur.
Pierre waits outside the church, your white dress coming into his vision like an angel or a cloud in the sky. with your hair pulled back, veil covering your face, and the white train trailing behind you, he felt tears slipping down his cheeks.
“Aw don’t cry or else I’ll cry and they spent hours on my makeup.” you wipe your thumb across his cheeks until they stop and Charles marries you two in the parking lot of the church. an hour earlier than the actual wedding.
“I should’ve married you along time ago.”
“I agree, it took you long enough to ask.”
the reception is in the summer home. the bedroom you first fell in love with him, is the place you two hide from greeting guests and faking smiles.
“I can’t believe we have to go down there again.” you groan throwing your body against his crisp clean suit.
“if you get tired of this, go up to the attic and I’ll come to you. I can hold off the family for you.” he presses a kiss to your forehead, two of you finally deciding to get up off the bed and make your way down the stairs. family and friends begin to holler and cheer seeing your arrival to your own party. Pierre kisses you once again, lips colliding like there wasn’t going to be another time for this. the hollers and whistles become background noise to the sound of his heart beat and how his fingers feel against the white silk material. you want to capture these emotions forever and put them in a bottle.
Pierre holds on to his promise, he chats with your family and his family while giving you time to eat and linger with friends. all sorts of people compliment your dress, the taste for the venue, etc. there’s not a single opinion you could care about while you sit and listen.
“I always pictured your wedding happening here.” Arthur says from beside you at the dinning room table. the two of you tucked away from the rest of the guests.
“really?”
he nods, “yeah, the flowers in the backyard are the ones you’ve always picked for Enzo, the sunset is visible from here, and this is where you fell in love. I was shocked when maman told me you picked a silly church.”
you laugh at your younger brothers words, but ultimately agree. you’d wished you didn’t settle on the old church and rather just get married in the backyard. you didn’t have many guests as it was, and Arthur was right, this place did hold a special spot in your heart.
“you should get married here then. the place belongs to Pierre now.”
Arthur laughs, “no I’m getting married in bora bora. churches are a yawn.”
you scoff giving his shoulder a shove, “wow where were you at the wedding planning meeting?”
“sleeping. I didn’t care to hear about bouquets and bridal showers.”
the early morning/late evening hours seems to slip by you both. you’re curled in bed, fingers intertwined when you hear Pierre shift in bed. his suit jacket was draped across your lap as a blanket, while his dress shirt was torn off somewhere across the room. you’d both been to exhausted for anything fun to happen that night, but from the looks of the room it’d say otherwise.
your eyes flutter open— well attempt with yesterdays mascara sticking them together— you look over at Pierre in his peaceful state. you’d, shockingly, never noticed the contrast color of his lashes to his blue eyes, how the hairs under his lip were getting a little thicker, or even the finest line across his forehead from stress. these were things that seemed to come with time, but beauty you loved so deep within your heart.
“I should make you breakfast, shouldnt I?”
his voice startles you from your thoughts, his hand reaches across the bed to your leg. the guarder you’d worn was torn off, and you proudly wear nothing but spandex and Pierre’s tie around your neck. somehow along the lines you’d lost your bra, but your dress still lays perfectly across the floor.
“don’t be ridiculous, let’s just order breakfast.” you shift closer to him and reach across for his phone on the charger. he takes the chance to kiss your cheek while you enter his passcode and scroll through the millions of breakfast places open.
“I don’t think I ever told you how beautiful you looked last night.”
you give him a pointed look, “and yesterdays makeup doesn’t still say beautiful?”
he laughs pressing a kiss to your shoulder blade, “amour, you’re beautiful everyday. just even extra yesterday.”
you feel the typical butterflies you get around him, but there’s even more than usual when you’re around him, you couldn’t pinpoint the feeling but it softened your heart and made you sink closer to him.
“what do you want from McDonald’s, mr. gasly?”
“whatever my wife wants.”

I woke up with an idea with sudden inspiration for a new mini series. (I love when that happens.) Depending on what you all think, there will be a part 2 and I'm excited to see how this turns out. This part is purely to set the scene.
Summary: You're marrying a man for an easy life, yet you're so in love with your best friend it hurts. What would happen if everything changed drastically between the two of you before you were due to be wed?
Under 18's DNI. Warnings: Angst, slow burning frustration, friends to nothing or friends to lovers? Word Count: 2.5k
Part 1 ✨ Part 2 ✨Part 3 ✨Part 4 ✨ Part 5
Tumblr media
The preparations were complete, you were set to marry a man that you weren't sure that you loved yet just accepted it based on the fact that your parents approved and everything was taken care of, all for an easy life, you went along with it. The start was great, but the more you thought about it; was he really the one? He was a man that was from a well off family, someone who would provide and look after you for the rest of your life, but is forever long enough to be with someone when you're not as happy as you could be?
There was always a burning thought in the back of your head of what if? You'd always loved your best friend, since a very young age, but it was always the wrong time to get into what felt such a crime. You'd always admired one another from the side lines, your friendship meaning way too much for your own liking to ever do anything about it. Prom night was the only exception.
You spent a night together, losing your virginity to each other after the consumption of alcohol at the after party, it was awkward yet beautiful, a moment shared and a moment cherished. You'd never spoke of it again after that, both of you too shy to admit that there was something there that had clear been around for quite some time, burning and eager to get out of your systems, so you went about your teenage lives, getting into other relationships, supporting each other when times got tough, doing the general best friend thing and being around when the other needed it most.
Entering your twenties was a crucial stage and the jealousy became worse every time you had to witness him with somebody else, but you still remained quiet, as close to him as you were you always longed for more but it just seemed like it was never to be.
Then you met the man you were with today, a brief meeting at a family event where several people attended including a lot of friends of the family which extended into hundreds of people being at the venue. You were happy at first, or so you thought but it always came back down to your best friend and every waking moment you spent with your new beau, the more you'd wish that he was him. Nobody had ever been good enough and that was the mistake you'd made all along.
The moment you realised that your best friend loved you just as much right back was your 29th birthday party, your boyfriend proposed to you that night in front of the entire crowd, up on a large stage with a beautiful serenading quartet and a large screen filled with images of the two of you over the last couple of years, you'd turned around to see your now fiancé down on one knee.
The pressure forced you to say yes, but when you looked back into crowd of people, all eyes were on you but you noticed one particularly pair of burning, crushed retinas. Joe. Your best friend for almost all of your life was the one stood there with a pressed line to his lips, you could almost see the single tear that dropped from his bottom lid, he took a deep sigh, parted lips and enforced a fake smile of his own to try and be happy for you. He of course joined in the applause but with a sense of laziness from the broken heart that had now smashed to smithereens to see you betrothed to another.
Time stood still, the ring slipped onto your wedding finger but your gaze still fell upon that of your best friends, you took a large gulp and your sights matched upon the one he was still indistinctively pulling. You should've been happy, you should've been jumping for joy that you were engaged to the person you'd been with for the last two and a half years, but better still it just wasn't the one you'd hoped for.
The speed of sound caught back up with you, up roars of cheers found you looking over to your parents who were hugging in utter joy for the announcement that their daughter was to be married, but they just didn't understand, purely because they didn't know how you truly felt. But would they ever understand? Your mum was married to your dad for exactly the same reason, but she accepted it and over time she fell in love, she'd never admitted that to you personally, but you'd read her diaries from a long time ago that you'd found as a kid so you were well aware of the situation.
Truth be told you were hoping that getting over Joe in time would work and it'd slowly fade away. You were crazy to believe such a thing because that would of happened years ago if it were supposed to, turning back to your now fiancé was the hardest thing you'd ever had to do, kissing him, showing the party that you were elated to be in such a position; yet you were so repulsed you almost showed it.
Every flashback remained of Joe, every time you'd hugged, every time you'd shared yours or his bed in an innocent way, every time he'd made you laugh and the one time you'd had sex, it was sloppy but the kissing was something out of a fairy tale, it was saved in your padlocked memory and to your upset that's where it would remain and wouldn't ever become a reality again.
You'd mingled with every other person, being smothered by such congratulations that it almost hurt to breathe, you needed to get out for a second, give yourself some you time, be by yourself and allow your thoughts to rekindle themselves before you went back into that hell hole again. You breathed in the winter air, tilting your head toward the night sky, reaching back into your bag and pulling out a cigarette and putting it to your lips, ruffling to find your lighter, stressed and uttering profanities under your breath because you couldn't find it. A voice interrupted you suddenly making you turn around in a startle.
"Need a light?" Joe.
"Lifesaver." You let out an almost desperate smile, glad for the lighter Joe hovered in front of your vision, but secretly excited to have him close to you, alone and without any other creeping eyes.
He lit your cigarette and pulled out one of his own to join you, you walked over to the set of swings of a little playground situated next to the hall and he followed you like a lost sheep, you were glad he'd taken the silent hint to stick around.
You leaned your cheek against the ice touch of the chains of the swing set, closing your eyes as you took a drag of your cigarette, releasing the smoke out of your nose, breaking the silence you heard the crushing words of congratulations come out of the mouth you didn't entirely want to hear.
"So you're engaged now, congratulations are in order I guess princess." You pushed the swing to the side to nudge his arm, not even taking a second glance as you both stared to the ground.
"Thanks love." You swallowed your regret.
Joe had always called you princess, since you were from an entirely wealthy family yourself, he meant it as you were royalty, the untouchable as he'd relayed to you a few times throughout your friendship, something that both pulled at your heart strings and also made you want to punch his lights out. You'd had no choice but to accept the nickname because he'd refused to not call you anything but. Surely it couldn't have had a deeper meaning, especially now you had the incline that he felt the exact way you did. Joe was an exceptional actor so he could've been putting on the whole façade, yet he was letting this one slip quite badly.
"Everything's changing fast, I don't like it." Joe let out without even a thought.
"What do you mean?" You finally looked over to your best friend, anxious on his delayed response. You watched him throw the last of his cigarette, palms slapped to rub together, trying to work out what his emotions were actually to mean, the whole switch of mood was hard to figure out.
"My best girl's engaged, it's all worked out for you. I'm so happy about that, but I can't help to feel like somethings missing." A hitch of his throat saw you almost ready to vomit the words back out of your mouth, he loved you, like really loved you, you were sure. Then why were you so dumb founded towards it for all this time, why was it so subtly obvious now?
"Quit swerving around the real answer Quinn, tell me." You felt like getting serious was the only thing you had left. Honesty was all you needed and then you could make a decision.
"That's the real answer, somethings missing." He said lowly.
"But what's missing?" You furrowed your brow.
"Your true happiness. I saw the way you looked over at me." Was this supposed to be a joke? A role reversal to the way Joe had actually looked at you the second your fiancé got down onto one knee.
"You mean the way you looked at me?" That made Joe instantly swerve to glance at you, his eyes burning something dark, something yearning inside of the chocolatey gaze which screamed that he felt upset by the entire ordeal.
"Yeah, like that." You folded your arms, your blood beginning to boil, no room to simmer. Why couldn't he just speak the truth? It would make it so much easier for you to then break your walls down to your own feelings and shout them out loud and clear for him to hear.
"Don't know what you're talking about princess." There it was, the whole performance about to begin, his acting senses creeping out of him, keeping in the reality and bringing out the fictional.
"Stop calling me that." You raised your voice, your whole head was full and you were screaming inside, you just wanted to shake your best friend, make him say it, force him, but you knew you couldn't and that's what hurt so bad, for if you were wrong about everything then you'd look quite the idiot.
"I'm sorry, I just don't know if I can be a part of this, a part of something I don't support."
"A part of what, my life?" You'd totally done it, you'd thrown the baton back at him, you weren't being verbally abused, you weren't willing to be crushed through your regret of agreeing to marry someone that you weren't sure about.
"Not your life, your life with him, I can't be around to see you unhappy." He knew you too well that was all well and good, but you were seething to see what he was saying was true, maybe him not being around would help you out in your journey to get over Joe, but you knew deep down you weren't willing to even entertain the thought.
"I'm happy."
"Fuck right off." His own voice raised right back.
"Fine I will." You huffed a violent sigh. Getting up off of the swing, all ready to walk away from the situation when you were pulled back by the freezing touch of bare skin, Joe's hand gripped to yours like his life depended on it. It's like the world stopped right there, the touch confirmed it all. Your lips parted together, you were caged between his legs to where he'd dragged you back, almost stumbling but saved by his stiffened body, now your hand captured in the palm of his, you'd not felt this close to the one person you truly felt for in such a long time.
"I didn't mean it literally."
"Then what did you mean Joe?" You licked your dry lips and Joe stared at the way your tongue moved in slow motion, you'd be blind not to have noticed the way his eyes lingered for a second.
"Don't lose yourself to him is all I'm saying." Where's the god damn love confession? You'd heard just about enough for one night.
"We done here?" You closed your mouth and gritted your teeth.
"Congratulations again and uh, happy birthday." Joe stood up, tall yet slumped in front of you, with a stroke of the back of your hand from his thumb, he let go and walked towards the exit of the venue, over the hill and to the car park to leave.
You called out his name so clearly, but he didn't turn back around he just disappeared from the lighting and into the darkness of the night. This whole loving your best friend was so fucked and now you were in the worst situation of all, swallowed into a world of your own loneliness, lost without Joe by your side once again. You were damned if you did and damned if you didn't run after him, but you couldn't. The ring on your finger, a sacred anchor that weighed you down and just wouldn't allow it.
Slumping back onto the swing Joe sat on previously, your tears flowed out softly, was there something you could've said that would of allowed the truth to come out? Or was it destined to be kept in for the rest of your life. You felt worthless on what was supposed to be the best night of your life so far. There's a saying of time heals all wounds, but this was one that would just scar, remain and kill you slowly if something wasn't done about it.

Tumblr media
Early March 1924, London, England
Tumblr media
Summer was coming closer and that meant Byron would return to Henford until Autumn. It also meant he would be away from the city, away from the parties and social scene. However, it did not depress him as it had in the past. He was working on a translation with one of his former professors at Oxford, and spending it in his office and garden sounded appealing.
The summer would also allow him to think on his future. His feelings for Eleora Balass extended far more than mere infatuation. He’d been divorced almost two years. Was he ready to remarry? Stella and Campbell had married the moment the divorce was finalized. Byron didn’t think he would come off as prudent.
Of course, he didn’t plan to navigate these feelings alone. He’d invited Montgomery, his closest confidant, and Samira, Eleora’s closest confidant, to lunch at the local park near the Scotsman’s house to discuss it as much.
“Is this about Eleora?” Samira asked bluntly shortly after they ordered appetizers.
“Yes.”
Montgomery’s eyes narrowed. “Did ya do somethin'?”
“No, I did not elope with her. I’ve learned my lesson. But…”
Tumblr media
Samira crossed her arms. “Byron, Are you thinking of proposing?”
“I think so.”
“Mr. Balass wouldn’t allow it, ya know.”
“I know he wouldn’t consent in my current state. He barely glanced at me when we met three weeks ago. But… if I were to change and prove how much I want to marry her… perhaps he would change his mind.”
“Are you saying you’re willin' to convert to Judaism?”
He nodded. “Yes, Samira. Actually, I’ve already met with their rabbi twice.”
Montgomery sighed. “You’re willin’ to give up yer faith for Eleora. Shite.”
“I was never a good Christian. Excluding funerals and weddings I’ve gone to, the last normal church service I attended was probably twelve years ago. I mean, I like bacon too much to give it up, but if it means having Mr. Balass’ approval, I’ll fucking do it. Now I’ll just be a bad Jew.”
“Does Eleora know this?”
He shook his head. “She knows I love her. I believe she feels the same. I know that we’ve only known each other since October, but I have this deep feeling that she is the woman I would like to spend the rest of my life with.”
Tumblr media
“Well, Byron, all I can say is if you think it will make you happy, go for it. I know it will make Eleora happy.”
“Aye, I canna disagree there.”
Byron smiled and nodded. “Thank you. Both of you.”
Samira waved her hand and turned her attention to Montgomery. “Now, to a more important discussion. A little birdie told me that you, him, and Eleora did something rather naughty for the duke’s birthday, and I’m very jealous.”
Montgomery blushed bright red as Byron and Samira laughed.

Don’t Read Pride and Prejudice Again (Try a Different Austen)
I have written promotions for the other novels, but no one needs encouragement to read P&P. So if the lessers must rise, the greatest must fall. So here is EVERYTHING WRONG with Pride & Prejudice. (To be clear, this is satire! I love P&P)
The proposal scenes are totally unbalanced. We get every single CRINGEWORTHY word of Mr. Collins’s terrible proposal, we get exactly one line of Darcy and then “he spoke well” but what did he SAY Miss Austen? Cruel authoress! and absolutely nothing from the cutest couple: Jane and Bingley. (Want the outpouring of the main character’s heart? Try Persuasion)
Too many coincidences! Unless Mr. Darcy is a Time Lord (love you, Doctor Who), there is no way he can always show up at exactly the right time. He arrives when Georgiana is about to elope, comes one day early so he can run into Elizabeth at Pemberley, and walks in THE VERY MOMENT when Elizabeth reads the letter from Jane about Wickham and Lydia. And I’m not even going to get into how very convenient it is that Elizabeth’s estranged cousin knows Darcy’s aunt. Try harder Jane Austen! (To read a book without coincidences, try Mansfield Park).
For a strong heroine, Elizabeth Bennet faces almost no real difficulties. Elinor Dashwood has to deal with her father’s death, but Mr. Bennet just goes on living. Fanny Price must stand strong after rejecting a proposal, but Elizabeth has her father and sister's support after rejecting Mr. Collins. Anne must wait 8 years to be reunited with her true love, Elizabeth waits like 5 weeks. Catherine Morland must travel alone all the way home and wait six months for Henry’s father to approve their marriagr, Elizabeth always travels accompanied and marries as soon as she wishes. Emma has to spend weeks convincing her father that marriage to Knightley is a good idea, Mr. Bennett consents before his daughter even talks to him. It’s easy to be strong when nothing bad ever happens to you, Elizabeth! (You want real strength, read Sense & Sensibility, Elinor is a paragon or Mansfield Park)
Darcy is the least likeable leading man in existence. He makes fun of the Bennets behind their backs, he’s arrogant, he’s snobby, he’s a know-it-all, and he thinks he has the right to make decisions about his friends’ love lives. He is so terrible at flirting that Elizabeth spends half of the book thinking that he hates her. Okay... even I can’t go this far when Rochester and Heathcliff exist. Let’s just say Darcy needs some serious work at the beginning. (If you want a really lovable leading man, try Northanger Abbey. Henry Tilney forever!)
Pride & Prejudice is not long or conclusive enough! I need far more pride and extended prejudice. Why can we not learn the fates of Georgiana, Kitty, and Mary? Why only two measly weddings at the end of the book? I know Jane Austen is capable of three! (For a longer book that leaves every single eligible character married, try Emma)
Good heroines are passe, anti-heroines is where it's really at! Elizabeth Bennet being nice and good is boring. (Try Lady Susan for delicious evil)
Pride & Prejudice, not as good as you thought!
Don’t forget Emma, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, Sense & Sensibility, Persuasion, and even Lady Susan.

So with all the other modern Au's I've had an idea for a Paz lives Modern Au where basically everyone is happy and nothing seriously bad ever happens so please indulge my mindless family fluff
..................................................................................................................
Paz joined the military because she didn’t have any other options. Her parents died when she was young and her extended family was too poor or too old to take her in so she grew up getting kicked around the foster care system.
She’s smart enough to have gotten a full ride college scholarship but the constant moving and bad home life made her a rebellious wild child, never doing her work and always behind in classes.
Dropped out of school at sixteen, got up to trouble for awhile, then got her g.e.d and entered the Air Force
She was considered a natural talent by others, but really she just worked hard behind the scenes and goofed off in front of her peers
She meet Miles ten years into her military career
Miles couldn’t stand her. She was always such a smart ass, always argued back, and undermined his authority.
Paz just really enjoyed making him mad
They eventually got into a massive argument and ended up having hate sex, that turned into them having an actual open conversation with each other.
Things were easier after that, in that they actually enjoyed each other’s company and also more difficult because they couldn’t be together due to Miles being her superior officer
Cue another massive argument where they just say screw the rules and get together.
Eventually Paz gets pregnant and she wants to keep the baby
Miles is old school and proposes to her even though he’s not sure he actually wants to be married
Paz definitely doesn’t want to be married but Miles makes way more money than her because of his rank, and she has no support system to help her once the baby is born.
They marry in a quick and dirty courthouse wedding with their closest squad mates there as witnesses.
Paz refuses to take Miles last name
“But what’ll the baby’s last name be then” Miles asked. Paz shrugged “we’ll get to that when we get to it.”
Paz takes an early discharge from the military.
Miles isn’t forcing her to be a stay at home mom by any means but he lets her know on many occasions that he makes enough for the both of them and that she doesn’t have to work if she doesn’t want to.
Fine by her. She’d much rather stay with the baby wants it’s born
They are both relieved when they find out they are having a boy. They would have been happy with a girl, they both just feel way more confident in their ability to raise a boy.
Miles has always been a cheap ass, never spending more than he has too, never even buying a house because why bother when it was just him. Because of this he has a huge savings on top of his large salary.
So he decides to splurge for the first time in his life, and buys a plot of land on the outskirts of their city, so they can build their house from scratch.
Paz, who is also a cheap ass from growing up poor, nearly fell over when he told her this.
The house ends up being finished right before there son is born
It’s got a huge backyard, where Paz plans to grow food and where Miles has a shed for woodworking. They have a spacious kitchen, cozy living room, a nursery decorated to look like a forest, master bedroom with plenty of natural lighting, and enough guest bedrooms for their entire squad, (or any other kids they might have.)
Then their son was born!
Paz and Miles got into it over naming the kid. They couldn’t agree on a first name and even though they agreed on a hyphenated last name they couldn’t agree on the order.
Paz was so tired after giving birth that she said Miles could pick the first name if the kids last name was Quaritch- Socorro. Miles took that deal.
Paz fell asleep not knowing he’d named their son Miles jr and was proudly showing the kid off to the entire squad who were all waiting to see the baby.
As Miles jr grew he was so clingy with his mother that Paz nicknamed him her little “spider monkey” eventually just shortening it to Spider.
Miles didn’t like it and would aggressively use his son’s “real” name whenever possible.
Spider was the center of Paz’s whole world and he knew it. He was the happiest baby you could find. Paz was so attuned to her son’s needs that she’d have him fed or changed or down for a nap before the boy could even start to fuss.
Paz was great at balancing the endless tasks of motherhood and homemaking while also taking time for things she wanted to do.
She’d work in the garden with Spider strapped to her chest, read books while he took naps, or put the baby in his stroller for walks in the park.
And Miles? He wasn’t around much. He blamed work, (even though he took on extra work) then said he was tired as an excuse for not being very present.
Paz would get mad about it but what could she do? It’s not like she could leave him. At least not easily. She had some money saved but it wouldn’t last long and with no one to look after the baby she couldn’t work.
Besides what did it matter, she convinced herself. She had an adorable son, a big house, all of her needs taken care of. So what if Miles was never around! As long as he paid it didn’t matter
(She still missed him and everything they use to be)
(Miles missed her too. And their son. He just felt like an imposter trying to be a husband and a father. But a soldier? that he could do with confidence.)
Part 2

So is that like it for Payu and Rain? Is there an epilogue beyond what the show has?
Depending on where you're watching LITA, there is an episode 14 that is an epilogue of sorts. It takes place... I want to say a year later, but might not be that long. Like, a year from where LITA began, but only 6 months from the end of Love Sky?
There is also a special novel. Love in the Air is 2 novels combined, Love Storm and Love Sky. The special novel came out with the show and is more written for the show, adapting actor descriptions for the characters and mannerisms and such.
Some epilogue info for Payu and Rain from that::
Rain's parents never care that he's with a guy, they love Payu.
Rain goes to get a drink of water in his boxers one night and Payu's mother is just THERE. She has known about Rain since the morning after they first had sex, so like, episode 4.
Once Rain is near graduation, Payu quits his job to start his own architectural firm and asks Rain to become his partner. Rain rejects him because he doesn't want a job he doesn't think he's qualified for, he wants to work and build his skill first.
2 years pass, Rain is at a firm (maybe Payu's old one) in charge of several huge projects. Payu's business is doing well, but Payu and Rain are both drowning. It gets to a point where they haven't seen each other more than in passing in months.
Payu asks again if Rain will work with him so they can at least be together, and Rain happily agrees (he's been waiting for Payu to ask).
Payu actually cries, he's so happy.
Payu's first big solo project finally completes, it's been 2 years or so from design to final construction.
After the reception celebrating the grand opening of the space, Payu proposes to Rain, and they get engaged, marrying soon after.
(Their engagement scene is a cameo within Wedding Plan, another story in Mame (the author's) extended universe (show not worth watching, cameos are in ep 1 (Sky and Pai) and Ep 3 (Rain and Payu))
Tumblr media
That's a general summary, the Love in the Air special novel takes place over 7-8 years, jumping as it pleases.

Why are we diagonal pt 1 for WIP wonders
hi anon! i thought someone might ask about this one lol. the fic is long but not super fleshed out yet because i didn’t exactly outline a “plot”
i picked a good passage for this though, have some silliness
Tumblr media
He is (and she cannot emphasize this enough) a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed drunk. So alert and flushed and filled with energy and grateful to be breathing. (If you can even believe it).
Overly complimentary. Really. It’s not like he’s flirting with strangers, it’s not like he’s engaging in extended conversations with them, and it’s not like he planned on saying anything to anyone before the stuff was in his system. Just a few drinks get him there, though, then he feels this need to flatter every soul that passes, throat suffused with a confusing mix of nonchalance and admiration and authenticity. You’re so much better than everyone else they have here, to the band in the bar. You have a good bartender voice, to the girl behind the counter. Whatever that means.
Two things: shivering and complimenting. This is what alcohol does to Jonathan Byers.
Seems like a boy who would pout, or get moody, or cling or whine, or fight or fall asleep. He’s had nights like that, sure, several of them, but for the most part, when he drinks—which isn’t often—he’s a weirdly sugary presence.
And so it’s fun to get him to that place. To get him drunk. Her signature magic trick…can’t pull a rabbit out of her hat but, look, she’s about to turn her quiet boyfriend into a little bit of a people lover. A little bit.
“Nancyy.”
Ignore that.
“Nancy Wheeler.”
Okay, sure.
“You don’t need to keep addressing me before you speak,” she murmurs, some adoring smile on her face, possibly. She isn’t drunk, she’s a cozy type of tipsy. This is ideal. (For tonight, anyway.) Proposal for her senior thesis is due in a week, first Friday in November. She’d like to get some writing in before bed. And she’d like to go to bed.
On the flip side, he deserved insobriety. She overencouraged, only taking small sips from his glass.
“But I like your name,” he says, “it’s so soft.”
In the backseat of the blue Cherokee, she watches the blurry scene outside the window, hand on the back of his head.
“Lauren is so clean,” is his next compliment. “I love her car, see how clean her car is?”
“I see.”
“Will you tell her she has a clean car?”
“You can tell her.”
“Lauren?”
“Yeah?” Nancy’s best friend plays along. She eases into the driveway of Nancy and Jonathan’s triplex.
“Your Cherokee is very clean.”
“Thank you. Hey do you need any help with him, Nance?”
“Oh no, he can walk. I mean I can steady him, but…”
“You’re so steady,” he sighs.
“Sit for a second,” she says. She climbs out of the car and goes to the driver side door. A twenty is pulled from her quilted jacket. “I know you’re going to fight me on this, okay, but I do owe you.”
“Please don’t give me that.”
“You’ve done too many favors this week. For me and everyone else.”
She truly, genuinely hates taking money. With her hands, she smooths back wavy hair and covers each side of her face, dark eyes clouded with mild regret.
“Don’t think about it, just take it! I could have hid it in your backseat just as easily—”
“Laurennn.”
The girls ignore him.
“Lauren.”
“Nancy, I don’t want your money, it’s as simple as that okay? Maybe you can get my coffee for me or something, after class on Monday—”
“Lauren Paschen.”
“What, Jonathan?”
He’s sitting up straight, holding a cold water bottle against his chest, a sense of calmness in his expression. “Nancy would look so good in your sister’s wedding dress.”

So I wanted to make a pinned post compiling every post I've made that I have any intent at all to do anything with as a fan work.
Most of these are just drafts currently but as stuff gets released I'll edit this post and reblog with the news.
This post is long so the info will be under the cut but as a contents:
Franmaya Narumitsu Kids Au
Turnabout Orca
Ace Attorney DnD
Narumitsu Enjoying Art
Trucy V Kristoph
PTA Narumitsu
No Children Krisnix
Narumitsu Who Wait Too Long
Full Breakdown of My Plan For a Fic EU:
-Untitled Disbarment -Untiled Turnabout Trump Missing scenesand Fallout -Untitled Hell -Turnabout PTA -A Stray Turnabout -Turnabout Orca -A Christmas Turnabout -Untitled DnD -Turnabout Date -A Family Turnabout -The Perfect Wedding Turnabout -2 Bonus Fics
FranMaya Narumitsu Kids Au
Original post - full AU breakdown. Warning it's long
Ask about the Richards relationship to his sisters
Plan:
I'd love to do some fun comics. Maybe a fic but it would be a bitch to format as such. May become a series of drabbles instead
Current status:
No words on the page for fics. Ideas planned for comic but I'm really not happy with my art style at the moment and struggling to get someone drawn that I don't instantly hate and want to restart. Happy to take ideas to expand on this AU with questions
Turnabout Orca
Original post - Concept Breakdown
Additional post - Additional discussion of concept
Fic link
Plan:
Fic. A part of my larger series I have planned that I don't talk about that much here but separate enough to be posted on its own before the rest
Current Status:
Chapter 1 published. Chapter 2 needs edits but could honestly be posted whenever. I just keep procrastinating. I had ideas for a chapter 3 when playing this case but don't remember what it was so I'd need to replay the case.
Ace Attorney DnD
Original post - Character role breakdown
Character sheets
Plan:
A spin off midquel of a fic within my extended fic universe
Current status:
Ugh. So. I have a Klapollo Christmas fic within the previously mentioned extended fic series. There are 4 fics I need to post first or else it will make no sense.
The fic itself has a good amount written but is not finished but I probably could write the remaining scenes pretty easily. I would love to post this at Christmas but erm. We'll see.
I could cut down the previous references and just have it all be out of order as I post.
The first fic is a good good way done. The second is short sweet and basically done. The forth is a short sweet fluff fic that's not got too much written yet but should be easy enough to bang out. The third one is a complete god damn shitshow that I'm really unhappy with at the moment. I want to rearrange a tone of stuff before I post it. There's some stuff in there I adore. Then there's other stuff I hate and want to cut out immediately but can't because the stuff I like its currently dependant on it. It's got no coherent structure. There's a million things I want to cover in it but not over riding theme. A lot of the later stuff hinges on events in this one so I can't just completely kill it. It's overstuffed and just a complete Trainwreck. I recognize that what I post doesn't have to be good and this is a fan space but I genuinely don't want to put this out there in this state. Like to explain what a state it's in its currently dealing with a mirror to FmT, sibling reveal, setting up Klapollo, Manfred's execution, Narumitsu proposal, another thing on this list, AJ fallout, and Edgeworth's promotion and very very little connective tissue between these concepts.
This is relevent because the DND fic is kind of a midquel to said Christmas fic so need to come out after it.
Idk guys Christmas sounds a little too optimistic. I may post the Christmas fic very very late.
Narumitsu Enjoying Art
Original post - concept breakdown
Plan
Included in a part of one of the fics in the extended fic universe
Current status
Hey so remember what I just said about the third fic having a planned segment for another point in this list. Suprise guess which one it was. This one. So yeah development hell. I've not even written that part yet because even opening that doc demoralises me. Will it be in the end product? I literally have no fucking clue. It's linked in with the FmT mirror segment which is the most likely to get the axe and also the hardest to fucking cut so just ugh.
Trucy V Kristoph
Original post - beginnings of concept
Extended post on this idea - concept breakdown
Plan:
Finally, its own thing. A multi chapter canon divergence fic
Current status:
Honestly doing pretty well. I've got like 3 chapters written but am struggling to know where to go from where I am. Kind of on hiatus but I could also just post what I have so far and then have it be a more public hiatus.
PTA Narumitsu
Original post - concept discussion
Plan
Fic. Similar to Turnabout Orca in that it fits within the canon of the extended fic universe and may get plonked in there as a series but works as a stand alone
Current status:
One scene written. I have ideas but it's a hard one to get motivated to write. I love the concept but it's just not the document I instinctively open up.
No Children Krisnix
Original post- lyric by lyric scene description
Link to homeforall's own version of said idea
Plan
Animatic
Current status
I have done a handful of scenes but I'm having the same issue I was with the Au comic. I just need my art to be a bit better to feel comfortable.
Narumitsu Who Wait Too Long
Proper concept breakdown
Related prior post
Plan:
It's own fic as its own thing but also a general feeling and concept I try to bring in whenever I write 7yg stuff
Current status:
A brief scene written as its own thing though I may change it to go a different way because I have being think about it more. Also a theme I have in the first of the extended fic universe stories
Aforementioned extended fic universe
Ok so this one is more complicated because I don't really have posts for it but I did want to break it down for me and for future reference.
1: Untitled: Disbarment
Concept:
Begins with some small stuff during the trilogy, Choosing death, forbbien hospital scene and what not but is primarily about Phoenix's disbarment. Narumitsu fic mainly but there's a good deal of Franmaya and also some deeply toxic Krisnix.
Status:
A lot written but missing a lot of connective tissue and I want to put in some fluff padding at points. Also there's probably a smut scene or two that I want to write but have been putting off.
2: Untitled- Turnabout Trump Missing Scenes and Fallout
Concept:
Kind of tieing some loose ends from the last fic with some headcaons I have about this case in particular. Short. Probably a one shot. Could be an epilogue to the previous but I think will be worth publishing as its own thing.
Status:
Basically done. Need to be published in order.
3: Untitled Hell
Concept:
After Turnabout succession Phoenix goes to Europe with Edgeworth and Trucy and Apollo stay behind to take a case. When Apollo is writing up his journal notes from the Misham Trial they look through Phoenix's paper work to clear up some loose ends and find out a lot they didn't know. Meanwhile stuff gets more and more out of hand in Europe
Status:
Already said. Absolute hell.
4: Turnabout PTA
Concept:
When Edgeworth gets promoted to Chief Procecutor, Phoenix takes him to the PTA to show off. Chaos ensues
Status:
Already said. This and turnabout Orca are the only ons before the Christmas Turnabout that doesn't have to be posted before it. This one could probably come out on its own but it's best after the 3rd fic
5: A Stray turnabout
Concept:
Short sweet fluff fic. Athena meets her Boss's fiance. Edgeworth worried about Trucy's grades. Phoenix adopts a stray puppy. Apollo gets to subject the agency to one of his special interests
Status:
Like half written and the other half is inmy brain. It's just not been a priority.
6: Turnabout Orca
Concept:
Turnabout reclaimed from Edgeworth's perspective
Status:
Already said. Will be posted when it's posted.
7: A Christmas Turnabout
Concept:
Just after the end of dual destinies, Apollo invites Klavier to the Wright-Edgeworth Christmas party given that his previous plus one is now dead. It's the obligatory Klavier joins the found family and gets "forgiven" (read: realised he was never blamed I'm the first place) for Phoenix's disbarment fic that I always eat up. Also dealing with the fallout of DD and Clays death and Klavier's fallout after AJ. Big ensemble cast. Angst and fluff.
Status:
Solid half way done
7.5 Untitled DnD
Concept:
Some for the cast are bored and unable to sleep on Christmas Eve so Trucy runs a Christmas one shot for their DnD party.
The idea for this was that all the family members have a DnD character but it's kind of expected that not everyone can always make it. So it's an induction for Klavier and Simon into the fold by making their characters and joining in. The players for this fic are Klavier, Apollo, Simon, Athena, Kay, Pearl and Sebastian. Maya, Phoenix, Ema and Edgeworth all also have characters but aren't present for the game for reasons that make sense in context.
Status:
Already said
8: Turnabout Date
Concept:
A direct sequel to A Christmas Turnabout taking place a day or so after that one leaves off. Klavier has asked Apollo on a dated to an intimidatingly fancy restaurant.
Meanwhile as the anniversary of DL6 draws closer Edgeworth ends up giving up and giving the prosecutors office a holiday break until the New Year. Though the weird girls of Maya and Kay end up on the opposite of their usual sides as Phoenix needs requests the aid of everyone's favourite great thief and Maya get caught up in the chaos after an attempt to seduce her girlfriend.
Status:
About a third written. I'm really really fond of this one though.
9: A Family Turnabout
Concept:
A pair of ghosts from Phoenix's past turn up on the agency door all related to Athena's most recent case. A poisoning in a tea shop that she herself witnessed.
Tensions are high as more than one Wright family member's life hang in the balance. As Phoenix's mental state grows slowly more unstable, his relationship with his daughter is put to the test.
While Athena and Apollo butt heads about how much their powers are to be trusted and ask they begin to learn more and more about the mysterious group the victim and defendant belong to, Phoenix's protegee are forced to ask serious questions about what justice really means and if the WAA's tactics in court are really moral and safe.

Hey idk if you can tell. This is my favourite. If I could just post this and focus on it I would. Unfortunately it needs a lot of fucking context. Stuff that's fine to just be explained to a reader who knows they can learn more in other available fics but will sound insane if not. How much is written. A whole lot. The stuff that's missing is the case fic stuff but I know exactly what I'm doing with that now so it just needs to be properly written out. There's probably a few posts I could have linked to put this bad boy on the mentioned works in progress section but that would probably spoil it a bit and I don't want to do that.
10: A Perfect wedding Turnabout
Concept:
Narumitsu wedding. Big old ensemble piece. Stuff will get crazy but I don't want to spoil anything. But those two could never have a normal wedding come on.
Status:
This was like the 3rd fic is started writing and well. It shows. I don't love how a lot of it reads. I want to rewrite a tone. But there is a lot already on the page. The other 2 I wrote this early were a very early draft of the first fic which has been revised enough to be fixed and then the 3rd fic which is the bane of my existence. I like the plot concept I have. But I worry about the prose. When I wrote this is had been a long ass while since I'd tried to write a big cast like this and it fucking shows. Also just the character voice is off. It's kind of expositiony. It's not as unsalvageable as 3 it's just not there yet.
2 Bonus fics
Status:
Completely unwritten
Concept:
I kind of want to do a narumitsu fluff fic of them buying a house together and putting up furniture after 3 and I wouldn't mind a reunion faraskye fic before 3. But the benefit of me having written nothing and having planned nothing is that they have no vital link to the others so they can just be punished whenever and I'll say where they are in the timeline.

Question: Are we going to get a glimpse of what’s happening with Rhaenyra and Alicent in Duty and Sacrafice? Because i’m just as invested in them as I am Aemond and Luce at this point.
Ya know, I’ve begrudgingly been coming to terms with the fact that I might need to make this a series, just so I can add drabbles/deleted scenes/Rhaenicent snippets.
The whole reason I extended D&S is because I got too obsessed with the Rhaenicent and Lucemond parallels, and didn’t want my girls to not have a hopeful/happy ending too. And yet it’s only making me want to flesh out their side of things more, I’ve even written a few (unfinished) scenes!
So to answer, yes, I do think you can anticipate a glimpse into what’s going on with them beyond what Aemond's POV in D&S. Probably after I finish it, so buckle in for a wait.
But in the meantime, here’s a glimpse of a glimpse:
“I noticed Aemond under the weirwood this morning,” Rhaenyra remarked over breaking fast a week after their sons’ wedding. Her violet eyes glinted, pleased, though Alicent wasn’t sure quite yet why. “Does he frequent that garden?”
Alicent sipped from her goblet, prolonging her time to answer. “I took the children there to picnic on occasion, once you all left,” she admitted after a moment. “Helaena liked the insects; Aegon liked the attention. Aemond…he used to say his mind went quiet there. It must still.” Then she added more dismissively, “It’s a time they all look back fondly on I hope, despite everything else.”
Despite the sudden estrangement from their nephews, the increasing negligence of their father, and Alicent’s own frayed mental state with her uncle sending constant missives and messengers about seizing their chance after Rhaenyra left the Red Keep.
Despite the stitches still fresh in Aemond’s listless face.
She gave up the habit when the drinking habit becoming a drinking problem for Aegon, after he and Helaena were wed, and the nonsensical whispers of her daughter turned to shrieking in the night. Neither of them were willing to go, after that, and with Viserys more and more often abed, Alicent became too busy running a kingdom.
“And you?” Rhaenyra raised a brow, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.
Alicent felt a quiet, wistful sort of melancholy, remembering the girl she used to be under that tree. “I have…mostly fond memories there, yes.”
She watched Rhaenyra’s face quickly grow sober, and was quick to grasp the alpha’s hand—an affection they’d reclaimed with one another with a surprising sort of ease, this past month.
“Some I’m not proud of,” Alicent continued, grateful when Rhaenyra squeezed her hand back. “You didn’t deserve my ire, after you proposed to Harwin. It was not my place—“
“I still shouldn’t have said what I did,” Rhaenyra shook her head, surprising Alicent. “I had gotten defensive, but it still was wrong. And I was too proud to apologize, later—but I regret it every day.”
What does it matter if I can’t birth a child? I’ll marry Harwin, and use an omega surrogate like the Valyrians of old. What else do omegas want marriage for?
Alicent laughed sadly. “And then I called you a knotless alpha that wouldn’t have any trouble birthing pups like the worst kind of omega whore.”
“You were right on both accounts, though,” Rhaenyra answered in a dry tone. She rubbed her free hand over her own stomach with a soft smile.
“No,” Alicent said, still holding tight to Rhaenyra’s other hand. “I don’t think I was right about anything, in those days.”
She stiffened when Rhaenyra raised their entwined fingers, the alpha pressing a kiss to the back of her hand.
It’d happened more and more, recently—mostly when Rhaenyra greeted her or said goodbye. Quite memorably, the night of their sons’ wedding. When Rhaenyra found her tearing off whole pieces of skin from her nail beds, numb to the blood staining her lap, the alpha entwined their hands and pressed kisses to each bloody finger. She swore they made the right decision for their sons and the realm. That Lucerys and Aemond were both ready to do their best by each other. Then she kissed Alicent’s hand one last time—in the center of her palm—before leaving for the night.
Alicent would never get used to it. Wasn’t sure she was supposed to grow comfortable with such blatant affection from an alpha, even if it served her ends at the moment. They were both unmated now, it was true, if only for the last moon in Alicent’s case.
But it wasn’t the short time since Viserys’s death that made her uncomfortable—42 days, not that she’d been counting—it was the knowledge that she’d wanted Rhaenyra’s affection over her own alpha for all twenty four years, three moons, and 15 days of their marriage.
Most likely her entire life.
And for twenty four years Alicent had no intentions of facing that truth, till now.
