daenerys antis remind me of elena antis the way they will twist the text to make this teenage girl into an evil monster, like daenerys antis are out here defending LITERAL SLAVERY because they hate daenerys so much and want to see her as a villain
Oh, absolutely. What’s so funny is that GOT already made so many little changes to Daenerys’ character and plot to make her seem “worse”—having less moments of humor, less moments showing her gentle heart and kindness, less moments showing her intelligence, and whatever the fuck her s2 arc and conclusion (in the books she gives a dying Doreah water from Dany’s own skin and holds her as she passes, in the show she’s betrayed by her and leaves her to rot in the vault)— and STILL, her s8 turn was regarded by nearly everyone as Out Of Character, Rushed, and generally just Bullshit. And yet so many fans think her book character making the Same turn will make more sense and be more satisfying….. not to mention GRR already has sooooooo many plots to wrap up in Dany’s arc alone (let alone Allllllll of the other characters’) and somehow he’s supposed to make a sensical and satisfying villainous turn in two books?? I just don’t see it lol
Honestly, IDK how to properly articulate it but. I feel like there’s always this…. subconscious resentment when (particularly teenage) female characters “dare” to be the main characters in their works. It’s why other female characters who are supporting or side characters are given a LOT more leeway (to the point of double standards— example Elena getting torn to shreds for being “friends” with Damon in s1-2 given everything he’s done to her friends and brother (despite actively being a victim of him herself) compared to in later seasons Caroline’s flirtationship and tryst with Klaus who killed a lot of the main cast’s friends and family being cheered on and/or sympathized with; or, Hell, compare to the audience holding no such anger or expectations toward Stefan, who, despite also being a victim of Damon’s abuse, has MUCH more power to defend himself compared to Elena). ESPECIALLY IF THE MAIN FEMALE CHARACTER IS NOT WHITE OR NOT STRAIGHT.

Why it would’ve made more sense and played out better
So as we all know, Klaus and Haley had a magical baby that produced Hope. now I have always said that Haley being Hope’s mother never made sense logically and also by the standards of the TVD it never makes sense why Hope would be this powerful being when only her father is the most powerful being. it would have made more sense for them to create Klonnie, enemies to lovers and have Bonnie be her mother because you have the most powerful hybrid plus the most powerful, witch from the most powerful bloodline, that would give you your “death to all witches”.
Plus was talking about it and my moots made valid points:
“The problem with Klaus and Hayley is that they were both to extreme with their methods of parenting.
Hayley: Hope should hide her magic and identity and just be a wolf and play outside
Klaus: No one will ever understand Hope so she needs to be powerful enough to protect herself
Both have points, but either extreme would leave Hope unhappy. Hayley’s actually played out in canon an we saw how high spirited that baby was lol.
Bonnie would know the perfect balance and tone Klaus down. She had a fairly normal childhood *and* knows what it’s like to have power at a young age. She’d be able to teach Hope magic *while* allowing her keep her innocence.
And ~~no~~ full shade to Hayley, but Klaus has proven that he’s more willing to take Hopes criticisms parenting wise and adapt than she is lol.
The problem is everyone views Klaus ideas rooted in world domination and yes he was being extreme here. But forgets nobody protected him at his age and he couldn’t do anything about it bc he had no magic? No wolf powers
Plus Klaus was literally going through severe PTSD in s4. He was jumpy and uncomfortable from being in that dungeon for so long, you can’t expect him to be a perfect parent right away 😭
s4 spanned no more than what? 3 months? Hayley had the benefit of spending enough time with Hope to know her and what she wanted. Calling a 1000 year old man who was a victim of abuse “out of touch” for not knowing how to raise a toddler is kinda ridiculous.”
Like if Julie wasn’t Julie and was an actual good writer and person legacies would’ve been so great and the last two seasons of TO wouldn’t been trash. Yes Haley was an active parent but I also think she didn’t give Klaus the grace she gave herself. Why is it that Haley got Grace because of her upbringing but Klaus was condemned for his upbringing and how it played in his parenting roles? Just my opinion tho

I think my issue with vampire diaries after many rewatches, fics and online opinion is there are so many useless characters or characters that end up with repetitive arcs or just end up with nothing to do.
I’ll give examples…
1) Bonnie isn’t a character, not a proper one. It was clear she was the magical negro, only there to save and sacrifice her life for her white counterparts. However the reason why I believe most of us love her, other than Kat Graham’s amazing portrayal is because she is essential to every plot.
2) the originals being in season 4. They had nothing to do and were clearly there until their spin off. Kol gave us some exposition on Silas. Klaus was there to involve himself with high school drama, and they wasted Rebekah’s character. They had no clue what to do with them and as stand alone characters they had so much more to give in my opinion.
3) Caroline was a self under and you can’t tell me otherwise. I feel for the girl especially in season 1&2 but after that I clocked out of her character. She’s in scenes where she doesn’t need to be, placed with characters that she doesn’t need to be with… she in my opinion if she wasn’t played by Candace would’ve had a smaller role and pushed to the back like Tyler, Matt and Jeremy.
4) most of the plots were centred around shops instead of any substance. It worked for the first three seasons but after that it just got boring. Most people say season 4 was where the show peaked by it’s clearly season 3 and even then there were many plot holes and inconsistencies, especially with my girl Bonnie.
5) the confederacy
6) the show should’ve been finished in season 4 and had a big final showdown between the mystic falls gang vs Katherine (the original big bad) and maybe an non humanity Elena.
7) Bonnie should’ve had a coven or a witch friend or her grams.
8) “bigger is not always better” this is in reference to villains like Silas. He was pointless and everyone needs to bffr. He was ultimately just so boring. Sure everyone loved Paul acting like himself but omg, he was just playing an exaggerated non humanity Stefan/ ripper Stefan and that’s it. Also his existence diminishes stelena.
9) they should’ve killed off Caroline, Tyler or Damon in season two instead of Jenna. I know Damon is a main character but I like when a show shows off how high the stakes are.
10) the show runners, producers and writers needed more BIPOCS around because majority of the storylines especially regarding race (lemme not start on marcel’s origins because wtf) were poorly written
P.s
They should’ve expanded more on Katherine’s origins, she was one of most compelling characters and although I do not like her actions, she was a perpetrator of sexual assault (Stefan/ Damon were her victims), I would say she was a victim of Klaus and his terror. She both makes me feel some sort of sympathy for Katerina but for Katherine, I don’t like her, I just found her presence entertaining. She not an anti hero more of an Antagonist. I like that she didn’t get redemption, we just saw why she is the way she is yk?

I finally had the heart (or a long plane ride) to watch The Umbrella Academy season 4 after being told by everyone I knew that the ending was awful and I have to say…
The ending wasn’t even close to the worst part for me!!!
What works in TUA formula is the characters all either do solo or paired up missions where they all find info and meetup in the end. This time, Klaus’ plot did nothing, not even for his character development. And Alison? Like her whole plot was just looking for Klaus???? Ray who?
Then don’t even get me started on the awful Lila and Five scenes. I had to skip through them. The beginning of the season where it was a gag “haha Diego thinks Lila is cheating on him with Fives” was great. There was no reason for them to do that to Diego.
That brings me to the victims of season 4: Diego and Luther. Let’s just make Diego suffer without any payoff. And Luther is a stripper who lost the love of his life who barely gets a mention. He also just lives in the abandoned academy!
Victor was (thankfully) given a solid plot line with closure from Reggie. And even the concept of this cleanse back to the original timeline was cool, in theory.
But Jennifer was not explained, who she was, how she got the Durango, how she was in a squid??? And the connection with Ben? Shouldn’t all the Hargreaves be drawn to her because of the marigold?
There were so many holes and the ending was the only thing that made sense. Which is surprising, because the ending barely made sense.

You called Caroline a white Bonnie, how so? Bonnie in my opinion had more of a consistent personality in the show. She was consistently written as a moral superhero for everyone. Caroline was whatever Plec needed her to be in the episode imo. A victim in one, a villain in another, one day she’s sleeping around with every man in the show (that’s an exaggeration, but yeah), the next day she’s slutshaming another girl for doing the exact same thing (Elena also slut shamed her for sleeping with/ being raped by Damon, even though Elena also sleeps around, so I guess it’s a running theme). One day she hates Klaus with all her heart, the next day she sleeps with him even though he killed her boyfriend’s mother. One day she’s a girls girl, the next day she’s a misogynistic mean girl. It really depended on what Plec thought was right for the plot of the episode. And am I the only one who thought that the Alaric/Caroline thing was off putting? Wasn’t he her teacher? Didn’t he date Elena’s surrogate mother AND her aunt? And so much more. And he admitted to having feelings for her, even though she was an adult at the time, it was… strange. And I didn’t like the plot line of her being pregnant with the twins without her consent. The forced pregnancy was just not my thing. Did she even give any sort of hint that she wanted to be a parent throughout the show? I don’t remember.
Okay, I’m free from work so let me break this down lol. This is long.
Not that I disagree with your thoughts on Caroline. I just wasn’t talking about her then. Tyler ends up dating Liv Parker in season 6, that’s his final relationship after Caroline. I agree, Caroline is just a self-insert for Julie turning her into whatever the show needs for that moment.
Penelope Mitchell/Liv was being set up to be Bonnie/Kat’s replacement since Julie admitted to wanting Bonnie permanent death to be in season 5. That tweet is still posted btw.
If Bonnie is no longer the resident witch and there are no more Bennett’s then of course the remaining witches are going to get the spotlight.
Tbh, the way tvdu fans ignore/ed Bonnie/Kat they wouldn’t have cared if she was fired to make room for another white and woman they found more desirable.
Candice has admitted that she found out she was pregnant called Julie and Julie from there rewrote season 7 to accommodate Candice’s pregnancy. Which tells you exactly how she feels on Kat getting full attention because Candice was not the last woman standing lol. Candice didn’t have to stop working I cannot stress this enough but she certainly was not the first woman to be pregnant onscreen and have the baby bump hidden.
Caroline never mentioned anything about children until that forced pregnancy. Alaric was married to Elena’s birth mother, then dated Jenna. Either way Calaric was a waste of time. Lmao.
White!Bonnie to clear up further confusions for you lol: are white witches who are abused for their magic or serve others but have agency. Ex: Freya her siblings, Davina with the NOLA witches or vampires, Hope’s a martyr for the Salvatore school, Liv is Bonnie and Rebekah mixed but even she didn’t want anything to do with magic because of what happened to her family lol.
Bonnie’s beautiful, compassionate, powerful, intelligent but she’s black. Not okay to be anything but white in tvdu. Instead of pushing Bonnie, the writers took these qualities and gave them to white and desirable women.
Hope that clears my comment up completely.

Do you consider/think that Rebekah betrayed Klaus by getting with Marcel in the first place? I wasn’t much of fan of the auntie/nephew/lovers “relationship” they had it was just weird af but rewatching TO S1 now….
it’s making realize that Rebekah did betray Klaus by going after HIS SON (same if Elijah went after hope after she grew up) and Marcel did by brining Pap Tunda then Mikael and yet somehow they framed it as Klaus being the villain/evil brother in that storyline.
Their so called “relationship” it’s just disgusting & disturbing on so many levels and Klaus was actually right to prevent it, he was selfish & cruel in getting in the way of all of Rebekah’s other relationships but I actually agree with him on this on.
Rebekah should NOT have started anything with Klaus’s son, she cross a boundary, and she basically groomed Marcel to love her, had Marcel been a girl and Elijah got together with he, everyone would acknowledge how creepy that situation was and how Klaus was right to prevent such “relationship”.
Would love to know your thoughts on the manner if you will please
Now the originals is about how dysfunctional the mikaelsons relationships are, they're all deeply traumatized and troubled not very good people so yes, I mean if we're gonna talk about how unhealthy/inappropriate these ships are klayley will get most of the lashings here too
But Klaus wasn't ln the right,in fact he just had a huge victim complex, his reasons for ruining it for Marcel and Rebekah were not out of some sort of fatherly fear for Marcel's well being, if anything he neglected him quite a lot
But it was a mix of feeling entitled to both of them, worry they'll love each other more than they love him and also fear of them being too attached to each other under the threat of Mikael as Klaus himself said in s1 that after settling in new Orleans and him feeling like they found their forever home he did not mind them being together and was quite happy for them
Rebekah suffered a lot of abuse from Klaus, she had every right to do the most to escape him because it was him who drove her to such a point and traumatized her that badly
So yeah I actually think she should've done worse tbh

tvdu is a franchise where if you think about anything for too long it just starts to fall apart. like in tvd s3 alaric gets stabbed and elena has to finish him off so they can be sure he’ll come back to life from the ring bc doppelgängers are supernatural beings. but in early seasons it’s established that vamps can’t compel other supernaturals like witches and werewolves. but they CAN compel elena?? are doppelgängers just less supernatural than others and count as just human? and in the originals when the truth of tatia’s death comes out, elijah says (the memories esther gives him) that he compelled tatia to forget what she say with klaus. but if that’s the story elijah remembered/told (no doubt klaus who was freaking out would ask) why do none of the siblings use compulsion to cover their tracks, keep victims alive, and hide amongst society when on the run from mikael during the lucien/tristan/aurora flashbacks? bc we know later it wasn’t until the elijah/aurora argument that he actually learned compulsion. i can understand if elijah’s memories are all scrambled and it’s just a lot of confusion she doesn’t want to unpack but surely the other siblings would notice and ask questions. also when fin and kol die.. no news coverage or reports of hundreds if not thousands of people turning grey, veiny and dropping dead all over the world? like i can suspend my disbelief for the supernatural but at least make the world building cohesive

List of reasons why the TVD fans hate me. 1. I called Damon Salvatore a sexual predator, a rapist, and because I refuse to give him empathy because of Stefan “forcing him to turn”. 2. I said Tyler Lockwood had the character development that people say Damon had. 3. I like Bonkai as a ship but I was called an abuse apologist as if Delena and Klaroline aren’t shoved down my throat. 4. I said that Holaric and Klebekah had inappropriate sexual chemistry for the characters and how they’re supposed to interact and in turn I was called a predator and a freak because people thought I liked incest and that’s not true I just pointed out weird chemistry. 5. I said anyone who agreed with Elena in the scene in season 4 scene where she is sitting in the bathtub roasting Caroline was a victim shamer. 6. I said if Damon had known Elena was sired to him he would have reveled in it and come up with ways to sexually take advantage of her like in the blood share. Granted he wasn’t aware of it at the time but he still he took advantage of her. 7 I said Damon had no development 8 I use terms like rape, Molestation and Sexual Assault to describe having a sexual experience with someone who is compelled or sired. 9.I got dragged for calling Julie Plec racist 10. I called Josie and Damon abliest shit bags for making fun of a mental illness/addiction their siblings can not control. 11. I said Katherine should have gotten peace with Nadia. 12. I laughed at Damon’s trauma and I said I didn’t give two shits about him being tortured for five years and that I didn’t give flying fucks about his dad feeding him his pet Turkey. 13. I said Caroline being a surrogate for Jo was problematic because her body was being violated and it damn near killed her. She wasn’t even asked or able to give consent to carry children that are not biologically her’s. 14. I said Kai was the least offensive villain in comparison to Katharine, Damon and Klaus. They have Centuries and half/millennial on him in terms of heinous crimes. 15. I also said the way the fandom compliments Bonnie was Micro aggressive and a bit racist. 16 I said everything that has happened has happened since the pilot was a result of Damon not listening to people or heeding their warnings which resulted in people dying or getting hurt. 17Lastly I said Stefan should have let Damon die and if he knew Damon was being tortured he should look the other way not help his brother.

This is my very first post, so I hope I do good! Please give me some feedback, I would love to hear it.
The Umbrella Academy Life Swap:
The Hargreaves switch lives instead of powers.
• Ben ran away at the age of 13 and got lost in the dimension inside his stomach, the Handler eventually finds him and recruits him to the Commission. He works as a super powered agent that saves his victims from his sadistic partners, Hazel and Cha-Cha. Ben doesn’t come back in a 13 year old body like Five, he’s the same age as his siblings, and Ben does know about the apocalypse and has the eye. And unlike Five, Ben actually tells his siblings about the apocalypse and how he was a super powered assassin that acted as the kidnapper and lookout. When the Hargreaves were 13, Ben had tried to talk to Five out of time traveling because logically, he may not know where he would end up, but Five wouldn’t listen to him and started arguing with him. The fighting got so loud that Vanya and Klaus eventually got pulled into the argument as well and it turned into a fistfight with all 4 of them. All of them ended up with scratches and bruises on their faces, a few chunks of their hair missing, and cleaning the mansion floors and ceilings from top to bottom and every single room without using their powers as a punishment for fighting by Reginald. At 2 am, Ben woke up after a nightmare and felt bad about getting Vanya and Klaus into trouble when they didn’t even started the fight in the first place and tried to go to their rooms to apologize, but he never did because the Horror became restless and angry that it didn’t get anything to eat and wanted to make Ben feel how trapped they felt when Reginald always had them kill people, so Ben’s tentacles grabbed him and opened the portal to their world, which was the apocalypse, and trapped him there for 10 years until the Handler came and recruited him and was never seen after that day again. Because of Ben’s disappearance, Vanya and Klaus blamed Five and his ambition for time travel since it was him who argued with Ben in the first place and Five had never forgotten it. Ben hopes that Klaus and Vanya would forgive Five in time. Ben read Klaus’s book about what happened to his family when he disappeared, he read about Luther running away to Dallas to forget about the Umbrella Academy, about Diego staying at the Academy to keep fighting crime, about Allison’s death and how she’s now mute, how Klaus is trying to get sober and stabling himself, how Five became a professor at a prestigious university and a vigilante, and how Vanya took a dark path into alcoholism.
• Five became a lowly-paid physics professor at community college after he was fired for punching a colleague at prestigious university and he’s also a vigilante, but his fiancé Delores doesn’t like it though. Five met Delores at a professor’s conference in Canada where she was presenting her findings on the science of gems and geodes since she’s a mineralogy professor (someone who teaches the study of rocks and crystals) and where he was discussing the possibility of time travel. Those two immediately hit it off and are now engaged, Five proposed to her by using different types of gems to spell it out. Five uses his powers of teleportation to be a mysterious assassin and hero.
• Klaus is a dancer at a local theater and he has somewhat control over his powers, but if the ghosts get too loud, he smokes cigarettes instead of weed so he wouldn’t be high at a recital. He became friends with Leonard Peabody aka Harold Jenkins when Klaus was 23 after his family abandoned him for writing an auto-biography about him having a power that traumatizes him and what the Umbrella Academy was really like behind the scenes, it’s called “The Ghosts Inside the Umbrella Academy: the life of Klaus Hargreaves”. Harold makes him more isolated by threatening to kill himself and haunting Klaus for the rest of his life if Klaus tries to leave him. Since Klaus never had someone ,besides Ben, care for him and give him a home and food since he was living at a homeless shelter when he met Leonard, Klaus thinks that this type of friendship is normal and doesn’t think twice about it. In his book, Klaus portrays his remaining siblings as people who knew about his drug abuse, but didn’t do anything about it; he portrayed Luther as a hotheaded daddy’s boy who was treated like the Golden child, Diego as a momma’s boy with daddy issues always trying to compete with Luther for everything, Allison as his favorite sister who was taken too soon, who’s death was the final straw that tore apart their family, and who acts as a silent ghost mother since she’s mute (no one believes him that he can see her though), he portrays Five as the cause of Ben’s disappearance and as a heartless gremlin who doesn’t care about his siblings enough to see that his siblings are hurting and have real problems of their own, he portrays Ben as his kind-hearted and favorite brother who was the glue that hold their family together and who’s disappearance drove a wedge between the family, and he portrays Vanya as his ordinary violin playing sister that desperately wanted to belong with their family in any way she could, but turned to alcohol when she learned that her dream of being in the Umbrella Academy was crushed by Reginald and who had the easy life of not being exploited by their father for her powers like he was. Vanya actually confronted him about her portrayal in the book and they said some things that they shouldn’t have, but they eventually forgave each other and Vanya moved in with him and Leonard a month later. Klaus didn’t mind that Vanya and Leonard were dating, but saw a striking difference between Vanya and Leonard’s relationship and Vanya and Sissy’s relationship when Vanya came back from the 60s. With Leonard, Vanya was walking on eggshells and isolated from her brothers and couldn’t be herself around him, but with Sissy, Klaus saw that Vanya was happier and could be herself around Sissy and loves Harlan like her own son. Klaus was the one to kill Leonard with his powers by having Allison choke him to death when he badly hurt Harlan with a gun and tried to drown Sissy.
• Allison dies at the age of 17 when her throat was slit by a serial killer on a mission and now acts like Klaus’s mother by always keeping him sober enough to conjure her and giving him healthy advice, but ultimately going along with almost every crazy idea Klaus has. Since she has a slit throat she can’t talk, but she does sign language instead and like Ben, she ages like Klaus, but still wears the same outfit she was buried in: a yellow and green striped dress with a blue flora printed jacket with red heels and a pair of black leggings. She HATES Leonard Peabody because he’s manipulating Klaus into isolation from their family and she tries to get Klaus out of their toxic friendship, but Klaus always denies Leonard’s abuse. She misses her siblings so much that she’s deeply hurt that she had ignored their problems for so long.
• Diego stayed at the Umbrella Academy because he didn’t know how to be anything else but a hero, he also didn’t want to Mom behind, so he began reading and writing code to free Grace from her restrictive rules that Reginald put on her, but after his accident that had him have scars all over his body and face to the point where he lost his left eye and his face is almost beyond recognition, Diego left the Academy when he realized that there was no point in staying and became a recluse in his good friend, Eudora’s house. Unlike Luther, Diego doesn’t have the monkey body because I just couldn’t see that type of body build on David Castaneda. Diego met Eudora at a local boxing gym, Eudora was impressed Diego’s fight skilled and was shocked to know that he was Diego “The Kraken” Hargreaves because Reginald told the whole world including their city and Luther, Klaus, Five, and Vanya that Diego died in an explosion a year ago when he had his accident. Diego ,of course, was pissed that his own father told everyone and his siblings that he was dead instead of saying that he survived the mission and was just scarred for the rest of his life, but he wasn’t surprised that Reginald did that to keep up his reputation. Him and Eudora immediately became fast friends and roommates at her house since Diego had nowhere to go when he left the Academy 6 months ago and was living at an run-down and moldy apartment. They actually tried dating at one point, but because of their conflicted personalities, they decided to just stay friends and roommates.
• 3 months after Allison’s funeral, Luther ran away to escape his father’s tight gripped and cold stare and the house that reminded him of his lovely yet dead Allison when he was 18 years old. He ended up in Dallas, Texas where he became a famous boxer named King Kong since he’s so huge and muscular, met and married a successful TV salesman named Elliott Gussman, and they adopted an African American baby girl who they named Claire Allison Gussman. Luther decided to take Elliott’s last name ,even though it was Luther who proposed to him, to cut his ties off from the Umbrella Academy and the man who turned 6 children into soldiers and who blamed the death of an innocent 17 year old girl that happened to be his adopted daughter on his 4 sons and 1 daughter instead of the person who killed her in the first place. Luther and Elliott had a happy marriage for 3 years until Klaus’s book came out that exposed the secrets of Luther’s past and made him into a hotheaded bully with daddy issues who followed Reginald around like a eager puppy trying to get a reward and a coward ran away from his problems instead of facing them. Elliott was furious at Luther because when Luther came to Dallas he lied about being from a mob family that did all types of shady businesses and that he ran away because his “family” couldn’t understand and accept him being bisexual instead of telling him truth about his abusive father who raised them to be child soldiers, how his brother Diego would always tried to be better than him to their father’s approval, how his brother Five was too smart for his own good, how he loved his sister Allison more than he should, how he tried to forget about Ben’s disappearance, how he ignored Klaus’s drug abuse, and how he denied Vanya’s problem with alcohol for so long. When Elliott read Klaus’s book about what Luther did and who he was, Elliott immediately started arguing with him about his true identity. Luther tried to deny it, but couldn’t because he loves Elliott too much to even hurt him in a way. Elliott actually threatened to separate from Luther when their arguments gotten too much, but he didn’t and instead drove Luther and him to see a marriage counselor so that they could actually talk to each other instead of just arguing. Luther and Elliott eventually made up, but because of the book, Luther is the one that’s more pissed about it and at Klaus for almost making Elliott lose his marriage to him. Btw, Claire is 6 years old in 2019 and was adopted as a baby in 2013 by the Gussman family when Luther was 24 and Elliott was 30, a year after Klaus’s book was published.
• Vanya was introduced to alcohol at 13 years old when Five and Klaus were drinking 2 cases of beer that Five stole, Klaus persuaded her to take a sip of his beer and she hasn’t stop drinking since. Besides the violin and her pills, alcohol was the thing that defined Vanya and her personality. Vanya thought that no one would care about what happened to her since she was so ordinary and isolated that she dumped all of her pills in the garbage disposal and drinks her problems away. With her new coping mechanism, Vanya’s personality changed from quiet and meek to sarcastic and drunk. Five and Vanya left the Academy for college together, but ended up separated by the time they were 20 because Vanya kept drinking her tutition away. By the age of 22, Vanya ended up being homeless because she got kicked out of her apartment for not paying her rent with the money she used to buy alcohol. She still plays her violin, but only for cash instead of at The Icarus Theatre. She also read Klaus’s book and was upset about her portrayal as his alcoholic sister who had an easy life of being ordinary and never going on missions because she doesn’t have a power that can’t be turned off willingly or that can kill somebody; she cried and drank her misery away for 3 weeks until she confronted Klaus about the book, they both admittedly said things that they regretted, but ended up apologizing to each other in the end. She also meets and dates Leonard like in the show and instead of Allison finding the truth about Leonard, it’s Five and Delores who both tried to convince Klaus and Vanya that Leonard is a snake, but they both denied it. Vanya ends up living with Klaus and Leonard when her and Klaus made up when she’s 23. In my first draft I made it Five and Delores that Vanya ended up rooming with, but I wanted to make Vanya and Klaus isolated further by Leonard manipulating both of them. When the house is attacked by Hazel and Cha-Cha, Vanya is the one that’s kidnapped and tortured by them for 2 days and is rescued by Eudora who arrives with back up this time, but is injured in the spine by Cha-Cha. Vanya takes the briefcase and time travels to October 12, 1963 where she ends up falling in love with a woman named Sissy Cooper, a widowed housewife who accidentally ran Vanya over with her car, and becoming a nanny/second mother to Sissy’s 5 year old autistic son named Harlan. Vanya stayed with them until 1966 when a neighbor reported their “unholy” relationship to the police, so to keep them safe Vanya used the briefcase to go back to 2019 with Sissy and Harlan.
—When Vanya gets back to 2019 with Sissy and Harlan, no one believes her story except for Klaus, who promises to her relationship with Sissy a secret from Leonard, and Ben, who was the only one that was worried about her whereabouts in the first place besides Klaus. Vanya tries to become sober for the sake of Harlan not being afraid of her when she gets drunk and for Sissy and her’s relationship since her late husband was an abusive alcoholic, instead of conjuring the one she loves’s ghost like Klaus did in the show. When Vanya was dating Leonard, he would constantly have her and Klaus practice their music and dance at 12am-6am to train them more and if one of them mess up, he’ll have them locked up in a dark and tiny closet with only one dimly lit lightbulb and they would have to balance on a stool on one leg for the duration of their training. Leonard would also take his anger out on Klaus and Vanya if he had a bad day at his shop, which would leave Klaus with bruises on his arms and a black eye and Vanya with scratches on her back and bruises on her neck. (Trigger Warning for those who can’t handle stories with domestic violence) When the 3 of them were 27, Leonard gotten pissed at how independent and successful Klaus and Vanya were getting in their lives by Klaus getting paid more from his dance recitals and Vanya going to AA meetings more to the point of being sober for 3 weeks that he took his frustrations about losing his control out on them by punching and slapping Klaus and choking and scratching Vanya, but thankfully a neighbor called the police after hearing their screams and Klaus and Vanya were taken to the hospital and Leonard was arrested, but unfortunately Klaus and Vanya bailed Leonard out due to dropping charges against him as an apologize.
Here are the things that I changed
• Klaus and Vanya both cause the apocalypse by combining their powers at Klaus’s dance recital with Vanya’s violin because Leonard isolated them from everyone, manipulated them to the point of denying the abuse he put them through, and because of him trying to kill Sissy and Harlan for taking Vanya away from him.
• Five and Delores tries to explain to Vanya and Klaus that Leonard only liked them to get revenge on the Umbrella Academy and it was him that kidnapped Sissy and Harlan to get them to come back to him, but Five gets stabbed in the stomach by Klaus’s new found telekinesis and Vanya makes Five and Delores’s apartment collapsed after knocking Delores out. When the apartment collapses, Allison , who’s coperal at the moment, immediately grabs both a bleeding Five and an unconscious Delores and saves them from death and takes them to the Academy to be treated by Grace. Delores unfortunately loses her right arm to a huge piece of shrapnel lodged into it that’s cutting the circulation.
• When Ben goes to the apocalypse for the first time, he finds Luther with the eye clutched in his hand, Diego wrapped in black bandages holding a woman with a long black ponytail (Eudora), Five in an Armani suit with his eyes opened, and a red headed woman in a polka dotted blouse and a black skirt holding one of Five’s hand (Delores). All of them are dead and Ben finds out that they’re his brothers by the faded black umbrella tattoo on Luther’s wrist when Ben was inspecting the bodies. The bodies that Ben couldn’t find were Allison, Vanya, and Klaus’s, but after learning about Allison’s death from Klaus’s book, Ben kept looking for Vanya and Klaus.
• Vanya gets her burst of powers when Harlan almost drown in the summer of ‘64 in the lake 10 miles away from the farm. Harlan was playing with a beach ball when it got away from him and he tried to get it while Vanya and Sissy were cuddling in the sand and a wave pulled him under the water. Sissy started crying and panicking when Vanya couldn’t get Harlan to the surface, but after a minute of silence she was shocked and relieved to see Vanya holding Harlan in her arms while she’s floating in the lake with glowing white eyes. As soon as they get to shore, Vanya gives Harlan cpr which transfers her newly found powers to him like in the canon.
• Diego doesn’t show himself to his siblings until episode 3 when Hazel and Cha-Cha attack the house because everyone thinks he’s dead and he’s a recluse. He finds out about the attack from Grace (mom) when she calls him from her bedroom phone since they talk every day so that he can know what’s going on and because of these calls, Diego knows about Ben being back, how the funeral went, and how much each of his siblings changed over the years.
• In episode 1, since the siblings’ lives are switched around, the way they found out that Reginald died is slightly different from canon. Luther finds out from the press badgering him after he won a fight, Diego finds out from Eudora when she comes home after work and turns on the Tv in a flash, Klaus finds out during rehearsal on the radio that him and his group are listening to to practice the recital while Allison is dancing in the shadows behind him when the news suddenly comes on, Five finds out from his phone on social media when one of his students sent him the news link after Five teleports to his apartment after saving a 12 year old boy from being abducted by a creep and almost killing said creep by beating him senseless, and Vanya finds out from a bar Tv when she and Leonard are on a date. She immediately calls Klaus who was immediately going to call her to tell her the same thing when he was done rehearsals.
• Just to clarify, since Vanya spent 3 years with Sissy and Harlan in Dallas from 1963-1966, she is 33 years old and Harlan is 8 years old because he was 5 when he and his mom met Vanya. Even though Vanya spent 3 years in the ‘60s, she was only gone for 2 days with Klaus, Five, Delores, Ben, and Leonard searching for her.
• When the Hargreeves all come back for the funeral, the introduction of them to each other are very different. Diego doesn’t show up to the funeral to keep up the reputation of him being dead. Vanya and Klaus show up together, but immediately split up when Vanya goes straight to the bar making drinks for her and her brothers (mostly for her though) and Klaus goes to his old room to reminisce about his past. Five checks their father’s room and office for evidence of something other than a heart attack, he is the one that thinks that Reginald was murdered by someone, and he also greets Vanya and Klaus with Delores who went with him to meet his family. Luther is trying to get through the funeral as possible by almost avoiding his siblings, but that backfires when Five calls a family meeting to talk about their father’s death and Luther sees a tipsy Vanya holding a mix of vodka and rum, Klaus talking to Delores who is laughing at a funny story Klaus is telling, and Five lecturing the remaining siblings on how their father might’ve been murdered.
• Eudora is more present in the show since she survives the gunshot wound in her spine by Cha-Cha, but she ends up being paralyzed from the waist down in a wheelchair. She helps Five with discovering how Reginald actually died and Diego with stepping out into the world and seeing his family for the first time in years. Like in canon, she is the first one to find Vanya at the motel after finding the message that Hazel and Cha-Cha left on the van when they burned down the prosthetic factory after they got drunk off of Vanya’s “special lemonade” which is just lemonade mixed with wine and vodka. Unlike in the show, Delores and Ben go with Eudora as back up in case something goes wrong and it does end up going wrong with Cha-Cha and Eudora having a shoot out with each other in the parking lot that ultimately ends up Eudora becoming paralyzed by Cha-Cha’s bullet ricocheting off a lamppost and lodging into Eudora’s spine with her laser gunand Ben wrestling with his former partner Hazel in the motel room while Vanya is escaping through the vent with the briefcase in her arms and Delores in tow.
Ben breaks Hazel’s wrist and almost beats him to a bloody pulp for kidnapping Vanya, but he stops when he hears Eudora’s screams from outside and sees her on the ground behind her car and he immediately drives her to the hospital while Hazel and Cha-Cha get away before the police show up. Delores and Vanya get on a nearby bus to escape the chaos and they talk about what’s going on in their lives and Delores talks about how Leonard treats Klaus when they’re alone, but Vanya denies any abuse and opens the briefcase. The last thing Vanya hears is Delores screaming.
• The episode “The Day that Wasn’t” doesn’t exist in my AU and is instead replaced with an episode called “Welcome to the 60’s” where Five interrogates Sissy and Harlan about the past while working on the beat up briefcase to learn more about how to time travel. Eudora and Diego talk about how their long time friendship has become into a sibling relationship and about how Diego can reconnect with his siblings again. Luther and Delores discuss how they both want a normal and ordinary life with their husband and fiancé respectively, but fail to see that things can never go back to way they were. Ben goes off on his own to find the truth about Leonard Peabody, but finds himself at Griddy’s where he sees Hazel kissing Agnes and talks to them about his problems. Agnes gives Ben advice about how he can reconcile with his family by actually giving them time to process him being a time traveling assassin and him telling Five to not feel guilty about causing a rift between him and Vanya and Klaus because it wasn’t Five’s fault that Ben “ran away”.
I’ll continue the rest of the story when I have the time. Right now I just want to post this.

Choices you (and us) stand by (Platonic)
Tumblr media
Requested Imagine - An operation that brings you back home after being cleared is met by some resistance. But, your friends are there to help.
You had been in the hospital for a bit now. You had been resting, but your friends had made an effort to see you when Malivore wasn’t spitting out monsters.
You appreciate it, really. You really did like seeing your family.
Plus, you felt better with this operation. And they had supported you the whole way, even going with you when the operation came.
When you opened your eyes again, you saw Lizzie smiling at you. You ignored the slightly creepy factor, and just smiled at her, “Hey.” You greeted, voice still groggy from not fully being awake yet.
“Hey back,” She said back. You heard her happiness, and your smile grew; she was doing better, it seemed. You were happy for her, really.
And, by the shine in her eyes, you saw that her feelings for you were vice versa. She saw how much more comfortable you looked now.
“Dad and the others would’ve come. But –”
“Malivore?”  You guessed, “Look, Liz. It’s cool, I get it. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. But, I needed this. I know not everyone is, but I don’t think Malivore would go that low. If they did, I know I’m happy with it.”
Lizzie nodded, but didn’t answer your guess. She just held out a hand, “Doc says it’s time to go. So, what you say, ready to go home?”
You looked at your friend, and smiled hugely this time, “Ready.” You confirmed, taking her hand.
The drive back wasn’t too long, but it was filled with idol chatter about what you had missed. It wasn’t too much, just the norm.
What you knew, and what Lizzie told you, was that Hope had redone your room for you. You knew your sister would do a lot for you, but you didn’t expect that.
“And, here we are.” Lizzie announced as she parked the car. Together you got out. And, as expected, there was your two other sisters awaiting you with a little banner in their hands.
You smiled, and the Josie used a spell to keep the banner up as they hugged you, minding to not rip any stitching.
“Wow, you look great.” Josie complimented as she pulled away from the hug.
“Yeah, you look amazing, Y/N.” Hope agreed, beaming smile on her face. It was unusual for her, but she mainly reserved it for you. And she knew this was a big moment.
“Where’s Alaric?” You asked, wondering where your father figure was.
That made the smiles dim, “What?” You asked, looking between the two. With Lizzie being next to you, you missed how she also looked between the pair in alarm.
“You didn’t sort it?” Lizzie asked through clenched teeth. When she didn’t receive an answer, she stormed inside.
“What’s going on?” You asked your two remaining friends. They shared a side glance, not sure on how to say it.
“Not…not everyone was…positive about it.” Josie said, trying to be as gentle as possible.
“…Oh.” Hope heard the voice tremble, and was quick to put a hand on your arm.
“Hey, it doesn’t reflect on all of us, ok? It’s just a minority. I’m sorry.” She said, seeing how deflated you looked.
“It’s not your fault.” You assured Hope. Both your smiles were dejected and sombre.
It was Josie who then spoke up, “Why don’t we go inside get you to your room?” She offered her arm for a loop, you obliged with the want and were on your way.
You weren’t even if it for two seconds before Lizzie barged in, a pissed off expression clear on her face.
“What is it?” You asked after a moment of silence.
“They know you got back,” At those words, Josie and Hope came to stand by you as they looked to Lizzie; their question was one you didn’t understand.
Whatever it was, Lizzie shook her head before looking at you with a smile, “I’ll be right back. Rest of the squad is looking for hobbit, but I got this. You just relax, Y/N.” Lizzie told you, before she left the room.
“Come on, sit. We’ll help you set up.” Hope said, sitting on said bed and patting the spot next to you.
You sat.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I meant what I said before, you look great.” Hope said as the three of you had moved to laying down at the top of the bed; you in the middle and two of your sisters on either side of you. They were both on their sides, facing you, with you looking up at the ceiling.
“You don’t need to keep saying that.” You laughed through your words softly. Hope’s smile grew. She was happy you were happy and allowing yourself time to recover.
“How many disagreed with it?” You asked. That created a lull in the conversation; an uncomfortable atmosphere there.
Lizzie, in any other situation, would’ve probably been more worried about how this would go. Despite the small groups, there were more of them than there was of her. But, in this moment, she didn’t care. To be honest, it went against what the school was about –
Acceptance. And they just seemed to be the anti-all of that despite their own differences.
The levels of irony was not lost on her. In fact, if anything, it was what drove her on further.
“Hey, asshats!” She called out to them. They turned, one even opened their mouths to talk.
That was quickly stopped by a quick silencing spell by Lizzie. She was talking, and they were sure as hell going to listen, “I get that you all are going through your edge grunge phase, but you do know that Y/N is an actual person, right? They chose this, and all you had to do was allow it and move on. I mean, you guys are with Josie, even if she’s just here on visit I haven’t seen one comment against her…”
“I just…I can’t describe it, but –”
“It’s euphoric?” Josie asked, your head then turned to her.
“In a way. I feel…I guess that, yeah. But, I mean, those out there…”
“Ignore them.” Hope said without missing a beat.”
“I can’t, Hope. You know how they stare and whisper. I’m not changing it back. I just…I don’t know…” You trailed off, not sure how to fully get your point across.
“You remember when you came out to mum and dad?” The question got both you and Josie sharply looking at you; it was rare for her to ever bring up your deceased parents. A sore spot for you both.
“You remember what she said?” You nodded, yet your sister continued, “’Ok, honey. I’m just glad you’re being you.’” You gulped as she then said, “And dad. God, dad was so proud, ‘I’m proud of you little one, for being true to yourself. No one can take that from you, ever.’”
“No one can or will. Not as long as we and you have someone to say about it.” Josie concluded, holding one of your hands in her own; it didn’t break you and Hope’s stare however. Josie respected that, it was a big thing to talk about your parents.
“…And I get that my dad is away, but that doesn’t mean you have to come and ruin this for my friend who has been nothing but kind to all of you. And, what? One little change and choice and suddenly they’re dead to you? This school was built for acceptance, not hatred or anarchy or rebellion.” Lizzie was just getting more and more frustrated; more and more angry; more and more defensive.
Some of the group even looked ashamed. Her words were working. They were changing their minds.
Then, some of those faces shifted again. And she turned to see what had caused it.
It was you, with Hope and Josie stood next to you as a united front.
She wasn’t done, but it seemed that the crowd she had riled up were getting antsy again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The spell had worn off, and there were words. There were a lot of words. You had seen Lizzie hateful before, but this was something else.
You heard the words they used to almost try turn it on her, say that she was relapsing. Say that this was why, that she was losing control. They tried to make themselves the victims. They were the ones under attack, not you. Why would it be you? In their minds, as of right now, that seemed to make no sense.
They then saw Josie. They saw how she was doing better at Mystic Falls High and almost happy and content with herself. They blamed it on Josie, that the girl had someone influenced her sister into this; a kind coercion of sought. They brought up the black magic saga she had gone on. Seemed Lizzie was wrong, they hadn’t fully moved on, they just instead waited for the right time to strike with their words.
Oh, and try they did. They swore, cursed – seemed Alaric being gone for the time being really made them go more off the rails than this “protest” already was – hell, one even tried to attack Josie, had Hope not thrown him back.
Josie had backed up in fear, but also moved a bit in front of you; just in case.
Then there was Hope, the oldest of the Mikaelson siblings; the one that mirrored Klaus more and more every day more than you ever would.
They tried to provoke her. They tried to make it seem like it was her fault for your actions, as if she – like they had accused Josie of with Lizzie – swayed you into this decision. Hope knew it made no logical sense, but she was already growing more and more pissed, nails digging into her skin.
Hope knew that, if she needed another forest screaming session, this would have to wait. And there would be a lot more trees knocked down this time because of it.
Then. Then they made a mistake.
They looked at you.
They looked at you, the whole reason they had banded together.
The whole reason Lizzie had gone after them.
You.
To you, it was just noise. Your ears were ringing as you tried to remember the words Josie and Hope had given you before, along with the other affirmations your parents had given you.
Your friends had been there every step of the way. They had tried to do what they could. And now you had done and all they wanted was to help celebrate it and help you settle back into your life at the school.
Now though, now you were just being yelled at. You saw your friends look to you, and you saw the concern on their features as your eyes did fill with tears. But you also felt the hurt and pain inside, and how that morphed into two things; fight or flight.
As the leader of the group got closer to you, Hope was quick to fling him back.
As you heard what you didn’t doubt was a fight ensuing, you chose flight.
You ran into Alaric’s office, glad for once that he was gone. You didn’t need him right now. Well, you did, but –
You knew you needed what had been done. You knew it, that was why you had it done. You knew you had support and you knew that not everyone would.
You just didn’t expect it to be so…extreme.
Maybe you could transfer along with Josie, maybe there they would –
“Y/N?” A voice asked. You turned, seeing the three at the entrance to the office, Josie and Lizzie with a cut and bruise or two, but nothing major.
Still –
You sat in the chair, face in your hands. You heard feet shuffle, a chair scrape, and someone grunt a bit as they sat on a table – as you heard papers being shuffled.
You felt someone put their hands on your shoulders, trying to massage them as best as she could.
“I’m sorry.” You said in utter despair, “I didn’t mean to –”
“You didn’t cause anything. Those guys were just assholes for the sake of it.” Lizzie was blunt, and used more colourful language, but it was what you loved about her.
You felt two hands grab both of yours and hold them in the gap between you and them, “They just can’t accept it. But, we’ve got your back on this. On anything. You deserve to be and look the way you want.” That was Josie.
So that meant – “I think I speak for all of us, when I say that we’d do it again.”
“You helped me out of my subconscious, helped me find my strength. And, if I’m honest, I’m jealous, Y/N, you took a stand for what you wanted and went for it.” You opened your eyes when Josie had stopped talking, seeing her soft face and gentle smile on her lips.
You sniffled a bit, looking to Lizzie, who rolled her eyes half heartedly but nodded with a smile.
Hope then moved out in front of you, “What do you say? You ready?” She asked, holding out a hand for you.
“Ready.” You confirmed, holding her hand and leaving with your three sisters.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You got more smiles than you expected, but you smiled back as you all went back to your room. It  had been a day, even before this conflict, and you definitely needed your rest now.
You all made idol chatter as you went. Most of it about the school and Malivore, but you were calmer now. You were freer with each other.
It was like nothing had changed.
However –
“There they are, Doctor Saltzman.” One of the old group said as Alaric followed her, she even pointed to you as if he needed to know for sure.
Alaric looked to you four for an explanation.
As the other three went to speak, you put your hand up. They paused, looking to you. You gave them a smile, and went over to Alaric as the three trailed behind you.
“Doctor S, I’m sorry for the fight that happened. I didn’t want it to turn into a scrap. It was just a group of people not really liking what I’d done. But, to be honest, I didn’t really see how it effects them at all. All it did is help me and do good. I don’t see the bad. But, I am sorry for the fight.” You said, as calmly as you could.
Alaric nodded, “Thank you, Y/N. There’s gonna be some cleaning needed, but we’ll figure all that out after. I’m just glad you’re ok.” He said with a smile. With that, he passed you and went to the office, with the student following, this time in a sombre way.
You looked back at the three, who all smiled at you, “Come on, let’s go back. You’ve had a long day.” Hope offered, holding out her hand.
“I’ll go get the ice-cream.” Lizzie said, Josie going with her to help with the bowls.
You took your sisters hand, going back to your room.
Sure, there would always be naysayers about your choice. But, who were they to judge? They weren’t you.
The school was built on acceptance, not hate. And you were sure Alaric was going to instil it in that student or have them leave.
But, to you, you just felt better.
You felt at home, both internally and externally.
You let out a breath of content.

Damon Salvatore x Reader One-Shot | Emily’s House
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous
A/N: I don't know if this would count as a Damon one-shot, but I can't think of anything else to categorize it as. Also, sorry this sucks, but I've had a little writer's block. Last thing, would you guys like more human/past Damon or would you like present day?
________________________________________________________________________________
Includes: Blood, angst, several murders, mild language, and triggering
________________________________________________________________________________
"Y/N? Tell me, damnit!" Kol screamed at his best friend, who merely smirked it off and popped her neck. She examined the "home" Klaus designed for the Mikaelson family in Mystic Falls, with Kol trailing after her.
"You just got out of a box after a century, and you want to know about my past love life? Kinda sad, Kol, not gonna lie," Y/N snickered, and Kol ran up in front of her, stopping her from walking into the dining room. Encouraging her to continue her story. The girl sighed and placed her hands on her friend's shoulders. Letting him into her memories.
~:*:~
*Mystic Falls, Virginia; 1864*
The sound of Y/N's sobs rang through the empty Salvatore house. Despite Giuseppe's earlier attempts to usher the girl out, her rage was much stronger than her sadness. She would never forgive Giuseppe for what he did. Shooting his own sons was a heinous act, even for the man who beat his eldest child. Y/N hadn't actually witnessed the murder, but she heard the gun firing. And neither Salvatore brother had returned in the last two days. She went around town to check, and once she saw Giuseppe drawing sympathy for his lost sons, she rushed back inside.
"Y/N, you must leave. Return to your family --" Giuseppe said, somewhat irritated.
"I no longer have any family, Giuseppe. You killed them in cold blood, remember?" Y/N snapped, cutting off her crying to glance behind her shoulder and notice the horrific man at the door. Giuseppe glared at his deceased son's wife and growled lowly, storming into his office. As much as he loved Damon getting married and even expecting a baby, he desperately hated Y/N. She was a nice girl, but man, did she have a temper. A temper so bad that it blinded most people about what they liked about her. But not Damon. He considered it attractive, and Giuseppe always thought that was the reason he married her. I guess he'll never know now.
The night following, Y/N escaped through her window out the house. She wanted to visit her friend Emily for comfort. The Salvatore wife was still in denial and assumed Damon or even Stefan would bust open the door any moment, but neither did. They were gone, but she didn't want to admit that to herself.
She was too lost in her thoughts to notice a figure following her in the shadows of the thick woods on the way to Emily's house. Emily lived near the Quarry, so it was a long but worthy journey. The figure had a female curve to it, but her large dress made her look thinner. In seconds a wrist was forced across Y/N's lips, with the metallic taste of blood spilling onto her tongue. Y/N tried to scream, but a thick stick was shoved into her stomach before her mouth could part. The attacker looked down at her struggling victim and chuckled darkly.
~:*:~
The bleeding light of the sun burnt through Y/N's eyelids the next morning, and she winced. It wasn't like any morning where she didn't want to get up, but it hurt her. Physically. She sat up and saw she was lying in the woods. Left for dead by whoever attacked her. But how could she be alive? A stick was plunged into her abdomen, and no one could aid her. She gazed down at her stomach, which was drowned in blood. Not just her own. Y/N's eyes widened, and a scream finally fell from her lips.
Her cries began again as her shaky hand fell onto her fully healed wound. But the blood remained stained on her dress, which was just a reminder about what happened. She stumbled up, and her first thought was how close Emily was. Her legs carried her weak build across the woods, and not much later, she reached Emily's house.
She pounded on the door, and soon it was whipped open by the witch herself. Emily noticed her friend's state and immediately got anxious. Y/N began weeping again and engulfed Emily in a hug. The black girl was shocked but closed the door and raced Y/N to the living room. "What happened, Y/N? What's wrong? Why do you have blood on you? Is this yours?" she interrogated eagerly, but Y/N kept shaking her head to try to bring him back. She couldn't lose her baby boy, too, not after losing Damon.
"I -- I think he's go -- gone. He's gone, Em- Emily," the Bennett girl knew of Y/N's pregnancy since she was in her third trimester, and people tend to point it out.
"What? What do you mean he's gone? What happened to you? Why is there blood on your dress?!" Emily panicked. Usually, she was relatively calm, but she couldn't contain herself.
"Emily? What's happening in here?" a male's voice asked as he walked in with caution. Stefan stopped once he saw his brother's wife, and both girls looked at the youngest Salvatore. Y/N gasped, and her breathing increased dramatically.
"Stefan? Stefan, how are you here right now?!"
"Y/N! You need to calm down!" Emily yelled and grabbed Y/N's face, forcing the girl to look at the witch's calming brown eyes.
"No, no, what's Stefan doing here? He died, Emily. Giuseppe shot him I --" Emily cut Y/N off with a shush, placing her hand on her stomach, which was flatter than it should be.
"Are you sure?" the Bennett questioned. Y/N nodded and sniffed. Emily stood up and ran around the house to try and find a spell to heal the possibly dead baby.
"Are you not going to explain how my husband's dead brother is here?!" Y/N shouted towards Emily, who didn't reply. The wife looked to Stefan with hopeful eyes. "Is he alive too? Is he here?" Stefan nodded and gestured outside. Y/N didn't hesitate to run out.
She saw Damon sitting near the water, tears falling from his eyes mercifully. "Damon?" Y/N cried, and the brunette whipped around, every action of his stopping. His jaw flew open, and he stood up. The Salvatores sprinted into each other's arms, both bawling. "Ho -- how are you alive? I thought --"
"I'm in transition," Damon interrupted his wife, who broke the hug.
"What?"
"Katherine, she gave me her blood before I died," he explained, but Y/N was still confused. "Are you okay? I heard a commotion going on inside and thought it was just Emily doing some witchy voodoo. I never expected you to come out that door," Damon smiled in joy, but Y/N's face fell.
"I . . . . last night someone stabbed me in the stomach," - Damon's expression became worried - "he's gone. Emily is trying to find a spell, but . . . . my attacker killed our boy in the process of trying to murder me," Y/N muttered, and Damon stepped back. A look of pain shot across his face, and he choked on the right words to say.
"Do -- do you know who --?"
"No. I don't even know how I'm alive right now, but I'll have Emily figure out that later," Damon put his face in his hands before tugging at his curly dark hair.
"He's not gone. I refuse to believe that. Emily!" the oldest Salvatore snarled and sped inside. Leaving Y/N to leer out at the flowing bay.
~:*:~
*Mystic Falls, Virginia; Present Day*
Y/N let go of Kol and huffed, snatching up a bottle of bourbon, an obsession she picked up from Damon. She strutted past Kol and into the dining room, plopping into one of the seats. She took a swig of the alcohol as her best friend came back down to Earth. "Wow. I had no idea -- "
"Yeah, I know. Only the Salvatores and my friends in 1864 knew I was pregnant. Oh, also that bitch Katherine. She was actually the one that did the deed," Y/N answered, sipping some more.
"Katherine? As in Katerina Petrova? She turned you and killed your unborn child while doing so?" Kol gawked. He had his fair share of drama, but this was a whole new ball game for him. No one, not even Klaus, would stoop that low.
"Bingo," - another drink - "would you like a special star or something?"

Ok, so I’ve always noticed some of the racism on TVD , most notably the treatment of Marcel and Emily, and the founders day parade episode (which, as a Virginian I have to say that the episode made me low-key ashamed when I re-watched it years later). But it took me a while to catch onto the racism on Bonnie‘s character. I was wondering if you have done a meta about it and could link me to it, or if you could do one?
Well it only took me like a year but here ya go!
youtube
Despite the fact that The Vampire Diaries is a show that was ostensibly created for girls and young women, the show undeniably seems to lack a certain level of respect or basic interest in its female characters. And while every single significant female character demonstrates that misogynistic point of view in one way or another, one of the most unique, distinct, and apparent instances of The Vampire Diaries' sexism is on peak display with one of it's leading female characters, Bonnie Bennett.
Bonnie obviously occupies a particularly interesting role in the series because she's the only black leading character, and it's also hard to miss that The Vampire Diaries universe has a pretty apparent issue with it's non-white characters as well.
The race problem on TVD expresses itself in a few different, extremely blatant ways. The most obvious issue with people of color on The Vampire Diaries is that those who are actually PoC within the narrative itself are typically pushed to the sidelines and relegated to supporting players at best, but there is also an issue with presenting PoC performers who are white-passing as white characters.
None of the PoC characters in The Vampire Diaries get very good treatment, but the series seems to be exceptionally problematic when it comes to its presentation of black characters. While black people arguably get more representation than any other non-white characters in this fictional world, they are almost all outrageously attractive, extremely light-skinned, and conveniently lacking in any emotional needs or inner life that needs to be addressed within the narrative, seemingly designed to show up, perform whatever service is necessary, and once again fade into the background if not just be killed off entirely.
This is an issue with every black character in the series, but given that Bonnie is the most significant and prominent in the series, it comes as no surprise that she was affected the most intensely by these biases. It's one thing to be a black character, it's one thing to be a female character, but being a black female character in the TVD universe is exceptionally crippling. But how exactly did the misogynoir of The Vampire Diaries completely neutralize Bonnie Bennett as a character?
Bonnie was mistreated, dismissed, and outright ignored in many big and small ways throughout the course of the show. But, a lot of that treatment can be pretty easily sorted into a few categorizations. The Vampire Diaries went through a pretty seismic shift from the start of the show to the end, but it has always been a series that falls primarily into two genres, the supernatural thriller genre and the romance genre.
The show pretty clearly transformed from a show that was firstly a supernatural story with a romantic subgenre into an almost entirely romantic story with a supernatural backdrop, but it's safe to say that the vast majority of the plotlines were either focused on magic or love. And, it's not particularly difficult to see how Bonnie was forcibly excluded from a predominant storyline in each genre, even when it made absolutely no sense.
Bonnie was a completely inexperienced witch at the start of TVD, so her cluelessness and powerlessness made a certain amount of sense at that point. But by the end of season 2 at the very latest, it seems fully established that she is one of the most powerful living witches in the world, and for the bulk of the series it is plainly acknowledged that she is one of the most powerful witches who ever lived. Which is exactly why Bonnie's position in the narrative is baffling.
In quite a few instances, Bonnie's magical abilities seem to be somewhat inconsistent, at least in the sense that, if she can solve some of the biggest problems that the Mystic Falls gang is confronted with, then it's very odd that she can't solve the others. And while plenty of characters in TVD are occasionally used as plot devices rather than characters, Bonnie seems to be the one who is specifically designed to show up, fix what needs fixing, and then become set dressing once she's no longer necessary as the mystical solution to every unsolvable issue.
And this is actually a significant problem with the witches at large, but of course is most recognizable with Bonnie because she is the most prominent witch. While not all witches are women of color, it seems like they are far more represented in that faction of the magical world than in any other. So then, it's interesting that the witches are presented as servants of nature who are meant to selflessly restore order to the world without actually using their abilities for their own personal gain.
Of course there are plenty of witches who appear to use their powers for themselves, but still, it's incredibly meaningful that the lone black main character in the series is constantly sacrificing herself for the sake of the otherwise entirely white cast of characters. It's even more meaningful that she seems to willingly put herself in the line of fire every time, and it's also extremely telling that she suffers and even dies without complaint for the sake of other people.
And while TVD has never been the kind of show to linger on emotional moments for too long, Bonnie seems to stick out like a sore thumb in this circumstance as well. Most of the main and even supporting characters have moments where their pain is acknowledged and at least has a second to breathe, but there are quite a few situations where Bonnie should be upset but isn't, or where her emotional journey as a character literally takes place off screen.
This lack of acknowledgment and nearly complete omission of an internal emotional life that doesn't involve sacrificing herself for her friends only further makes Bonnie feel like a plot device instead of a character. And, while no character needs a romantic relationship to make their character complete, it is incredibly relevant that, on a series that was built largely on a foundation of romance and arguably became a completely romantically driven show by its end, only one of the female leads was pretty much never presented as a viable love interest.
Nearly every character is either threatened or charmed into doing what someone else wants them to at some point during The Vampire Diaries, however, Bonnie's charm-to-threaten ratio seems to lean very heavily in favor of threatening. That in itself wouldn't necessarily be a huge issue, but it seems to punish Bonnie in a way that is so severe that it's completely illogical.
Trying to intimidate Elena or Caroline, people who at best have the strength of a baby vampire and at worst are as powerful as a normal human, makes sense. But trying to strongarm the most powerful witch in the world instead of just convincing her to do what you ask seems like an incredibly dangerous and completely baffling decision.
And yet, that is how Bonnie is forced to do nearly everything that she doesn't want to do in eight seasons of the series. By the end of season 2, TVD has canonically confirmed that Bonnie is powerful enough to destroy Klaus Mikaelson, and yet people like Klaus, Katherine, and even vampires as young as Damon get Bonnie to do things by simply bullying or even assaulting her into doing it. And what does Bonnie typically do in response? Absolutely nothing.
At a certain point, the consistent contrast between Bonnie's mystical strength and the way that people treat her in order to use that strength becomes a pretty gaping plot hole. And while it's not unheard of for someone to try to sweet talk Bonnie into joining their team, it is almost always done by a character who is far less powerful than she is and who is completely irrelevant to the narrative at large.
In contrast to characters like Elena and Caroline, the distinction between them becomes even more obvious. Perhaps a thin argument could be made that because Elena is a doppelganger that makes her a tad more unique, but when one of the most powerful creatures on the planet was wrapped around Caroline's finger, it really begs the question, why wasn't anyone ever as invested or even obsessed with Bonnie as they were with the other two female leads on the series?
After all, Elena's love was consistently treated as if it was the greatest prize that anyone could possibly win, and the two male leads were completely obsessed with her and willing to do anything they could to try to win her over. And despite the fact that Elena was at the center of the love triangle that was a significant driving force behind the story for the entire series, she still managed to score a few love interests that weren't Salvatores throughout the show's eight seasons as well.
And, while Caroline was actually treated as more of the reject love interest in comparison to the unattainable Elena, her record with romance is also incredibly varied. Even though she was portrayed at best as the consolation prize and at worst the abuse victim, she did have some sort of romantic relationship with the two male leads in the show. Or at least, that is how The Vampire Diaries chose to portray it.
In addition to her horrorshow with Damon and her incredibly brief marriage with Stefan, Caroline is also a love interest for Klaus, Matt, Tyler, and disgustingly, Alaric. Arguably the only main male character who doesn't serve as Caroline's love interest or potential love interest at any point is Jeremy.
Although this laundry list of love interests can be partially excused by the fact that Caroline is characterized as someone who wants to date a lot, the contrast bet0ween characters like Caroline and Elena and characters like Bonnie is astonishing.
Over a nearly decade-long run, Bonnie's only legitimate leading men are Jeremy, Elena's kid brother who Bonnie will willingly die for but who also prefers a literal dead person over her at one point, and Enzo, her epic love romance that comes about at the very end of the series in a relationship that almost entirely develops off-screen.
Of course, female characters do not need love interests to validate their characterization or very existence, however in an environment where every single barely significant supporting character seems to get at least two love interests, it's incredibly telling that Bonnie Bennett gets two important love stories in eight seasons of storytelling.
It seems even more relevant that the show seemingly went out of its way to sidestep almost any and all opportunities for romance in Bonnie's character arc. Whether it was Kol, Kai, or Damon Salvatore, there were quite a few instances where there was a clear and easy route to develop a love interest for Bonnie in a way that made sense and had a pretty solid amount of audience support, and yet the series always went out of its way to avoid it.
In stark contrast, Caroline is still seen as a viable option for a burgeoning love story when she's pregnant, and Elena is an acceptable love interest when she's literally unconscious. And yet, in a series that began with romance as its secondary genre and that evolved into a romance series with a supernatural backdrop, Bonnie is supposedly not as appealing of a love interest as Elena and Caroline regardless of any circumstances, no matter how insane.
If these issues existed in a vacuum then they might be excusable, but considering how poorly The Vampire Diaries treated its female characters and black characters, it's pretty much impossible to avoid the reality that Bonnie Bennett's entire character arc was likely hamstrung by the fact that she was a black girl.
In any reasonable circumstances, Bonnie would have arguably been at the center of every single supernatural storyline, and she logically would have been a far more appealing love interest to any powerful characters in the series. But instead she spent the vast majority of her screentime with her inner characterization ignored, her personal development unexplored, and serving as little more than a glorified deus ex machina who didn't even want her friends to bother mourning her when she literally sacrificed her life for them.
Representation was always an issue in The Vampire Diaries universe, and unfortunately it seems like Bonnie was the definition of their token black character. Although the series had eight entire years to course correct and had many seasons where they were desperate for new ideas and decent character development, the racism and misogyny of the series seemingly prevented them from ever tapping into the enormous untapped potential of someone who should have been one of their flagship lead characters.

seconds [five hargreeves x reader]
request: Hello, I saw that we could send in requests. I was wondering if u could do a 5 fic (with Same AU about them having worked in commission)Five realizing he has been/is in love with reader and decides to tell them but everything goes sideways. It can be around S2 remembering the times they spent together with the “One could fall in love in seconds” talk that he and Hargreeves had, or them physically older in commission in a case. U decide what goes, there r just ideas incase it was too general ☺️
a/n: sooo i tried my best to follow the request and i hope this turned out alright! it may not be my best work, but i guess i am pretty pleased with the way it turned out?? i suck at angst, btw- i am a sucker for fluff sorry >:(
summary: five realizes it is time to be honest about his feelings... but, it may not be the best time
Tumblr media
“So much can change in a matter of seconds.” Reginald said, watching the boy before him carefully, “One could overthrow an empire.” He paused, reading into his next gestures, “One could fall in love.”
Five shifted into his seat, letting the advice sink in. He knew the old man was not that far off, he might have had a point, especially after his last example. I mean, he did fall in love with Y/N in just a matter of seconds the first time he saw her, didn’t he?
It always plays in the back of his head the moment he first laid eyes on you all those years ago on his first day working with the Commission. You had just returned from one of your missions, exhausted and overall a mess, but not once you dared to drop the small reassuring smile on your lips- you didn’t want your co-workers to know what was going on through your soul, you wanted to seem tough. You wanted to show them you still got it at your age.
Even now Five could recall that day perfectly. He was in the Handler’s office, waiting to be assigned his first official task, when you stumbled in, holding a small briefcase which, unbeknownst to him, contained the hand of your unfortunate victim- it was a personal business your boss had sent you on to take care of for her.
“Sorry to barge in like this, but you told me to hurry.” You told the Handler, putting on a small smile as you lifted the briefcase.
“Ah, Y/N!” The Handler grinned, taking a soft drag out of her cigarette, “You’re a doll, did you know that?”
“Well, I’ve been told before.” You answered her proudly, slightly shrugging your shoulders as she motioned you to leave the briefcase by the door.
Not even now he could not understand what was it about you. Maybe it was the way you spoke nonchalantly to the woman with the biggest power in your organization, or maybe the way you had a smile on your face, even if the collar of your white shirt had been stained with specks of blood.
Within a matter of seconds from just seeing you, he forgot he had lived a long life, he felt like a kid again. Your eyes gave away reassurance and life experience- he found them comforting. Spending all that time in solitude, that’s all he wanted to see from a person- comfort.
It was a matter of time until the Handler trusted you to show him around and take him under your wing, trusting you as one of her best agents. For the first few missions, you and Five were partners, you always treated him like an equal, even if you had more experience.
Spending all that time with you, he definitely fell deeper in love. He knew there was no way out, but he also knew there was no way in hell he could act on those feelings. He still wanted to go home to his siblings, back in time, to save the world.
So... he took you with him.
At first you thought he was insane- you didn’t have a reason to betray the Commission, it never wronged you.
However, you disagreed with Doomsday.
“Did I say something wrong?” Reginald asked Five, noticing it had been a few seconds since he last spoke, having his look fixated on his drink.
“Uh, no- I was just thinking.” Five quickly said, looking back at the man, “The acorn, right?”
Five had been through a lot of shit these past two weeks. He returned back to his siblings with the person he secretly loved, tried to stop the apocalypse in 2019, only to fail and have to go back in time to 1963, where another apocalypse was waiting on him as well.
He needed a break.
Really, all he wanted was to go home with the people he cared about and have everything be alright. Deep down, he yearned to be held in your arms, while his brothers and sisters were all safely scattered around their big house. He needed peace and quiet, just for once in his life.
After the light supper 1963 Reginald Hargreeves invited you and his... future-adoptive-children, things did not entirely go as planned... He was your only hope, but he was not much help, as he managed to break Diego with a psychology lesson, ignore Luther after he showed him his body, and quickly dismiss you, Allison and Vanya- well, you tried to behave yourselves as well as you could after Klaus had a literal convulsion at the table.
Reggie only told Five to stay a while, seeing that he was the only sane one. The rest of the Hargreeves just left in their business, but you decided to wait by the elevator, knowing that he might not be in the best state of mind after having spent time with his maniac of a father.
“Y/N?” Five raised a brow, as he was making his way towards the elevator with his hands casually rested in his pockets, “You... waited?”
“Of course.” You smiled, folding your arms over your chest, “I figured you shouldn’t be alone after... that... dinner.” You frowned, unsure of what to call the disastrous meeting.
Five fought back a smile, pressing the elevator button. He never understood how you, of all people, became an assassin. You were just too good, too sweet. He never thought you actually had it in you to take lives and be an agent of the Commission, not with that gentle smile and adorable spark in your eyes.
Well, he never understood either how he could fall in love that easily, but that was besides the point. What mattered to him was that the world was still gonna end in a couple of days, and now the only solution he had left was the deal with the Handler- big surprise, his father was not that much help.
“Hey, Y/N?” Five spoke up, as the two of you entered the elevator, “Thank you.”
“For... what?” You knitted your brows in confusion, pressing the button as the doors closed, taking you two down.
“For being there, I guess.” He shrugged- Five never was the sentimental guy, but he felt like you deserved some praise. You followed him, you trusted him, you left your job at the Commission.
But it never occurred to him why. He never spent much time thinking why in the world would you trust him? Sure, you’ve known each other a while and he knew you saw him as a dear friend... unless, you saw him as more.
Five widened his eyes in realization, as you let out a small chuckle at his sudden gratitude, not looking at him.
Holy shit, Five thought, as his mouth hung open, slowly looking to his right, watching as you smiled softly, looking at nothing in particular, This is a far fetch, but... could she actually...?
All this time, he buried his feelings deep within him. He figured you didn’t need that kind of thing on your mind- it never seemed to be the time for him to be honest about what he felt. But now that he thought about it...
All those missions the two of you have been on, how could he not see it earlier?
The way you blindly trusted your life in his hands, or the way you worried for him, cared for him. You always scolded him for not being to careful and letting himself get injured, but he never read into it too much.  Or the way you accepted all his schemes and shenanigans and respected all his weird peeves.
“Are you okay?” You frowned, turning to Five once the elevator doors opened, noticing the shocked look on his face and the silence surrounding the two of you, “You look like you’ve seen Ben.”
Five quickly shook his head, stepping out of the elevator with you, trying to regain his train of thought. Maybe he was thinking too much into this... but what if he wasn’t? What if, for once in his life, something could actually go right?
Without another word, Five cupped your cheeks, pulling your face softly closer to his, capturing your lips into a kiss. You were taken aback in the beginning, freezing in your place with your eyes wide opened, trying to make sense of what was going on,  but you realized you shouldn’t be wasting this opportunity.
It was about time, you thought, melting into his touch, finally responding to the kiss.
Pulling away after a couple of moments, Five looked at your face, trying to read your emotions. However, he was pleasantly surprised, watching as your lips curved into a smirk, taking his hands in yours, slowly swaying them as you looked at him;
“Took ya long enough.”
Five scoffed amused, shaking his head in disbelief, “Better late than never, right?”
“Are there any words to come with that gesture?” You perched a brow curiously, “Or am I supposed to try and deduce...?”
Before Five could properly confess his feelings, his face fell once he laid eyes on the round clock displayed on the wall behind you. Shit, he thought, reading the time.
“I gotta go.” He suddenly declared, making your frown, “Shit, I gotta go right now!”
“What?” You wondered, as Five took his hands away, running his fingers through his hair stressed out.
He completely forgot about his meeting with the Handler- his only option still standing to save the world and go back to your timeline.
“Y/N, I am so sorry.” He genuinely apologized, as you were still trying to make sense of what was going on, “I gotta go!”
“Five!” You yelled, watching as he ran out of the building, “Get your butt back he- and, he’s gone...”
What the fuck just happened?

Give me your unpopular opinion about TUA 😘😘
sleepover weekend!
Besides loving Allison’s arc in S3, which I think I’ve already rambled too much about on this blog LOL, IIIIII... think my most unpopular opinion could be that I don’t really care for Di.lil.a, not because I think it’s an unhealthy ship, but because I think it’s a badly written unhealthy ship, and that Al.luth.er is a much better example of a well-written one.
Absolutely no shade to anyone who does ship them, though. I’m definitely someone who believes in the old fandom adage “ship and let ship”, but they’re really just not my cup of tea. I wish they were, because Diego is one of my top favorite characters and I’d really like to enjoy what looks like his romantic endgame.
But circling back to why I don’t like them... I think my biggest thing is that with Allison and Luther, even though some scenes were framed in a romantic light (like the dancing scene in S1), you still knew that it wasn’t a healthy relationship. It was doomed to fail from the start, because it was born out of trauma, and it was clear that we were seeing things mostly through Luther’s rose colored glasses, who still hadn’t fully come to terms with Reginald’s abuse. Allison still had and has complicated feelings surrounding him, we can see that much in S3, but she never really committed and it was plain that Luther was more of a last resort security blanket. It’s psychologically fascinating and despite trying to play it as romantic here and there, the show doesn’t pretend it’s ultimately a good thing.
Diego and Lila don’t really get that.
Obviously an incestuous relationship is a totally different ballpark from two unrelated, troubled souls getting into a messy romance. But in Diego and Lila’s case, it’s still unhealthy, and TUA tends to ignore that.
Lila... has a lot of control issues. She frequently shuts Diego up when he tries to be vulnerable with her or talk about important things, like their relationship, or Stan, or the end of the world. Vulnerability is extremely difficult for Diego, so it’s hard to watch when he tries so hard to be open, and she changes the subject, tries to distract him with sex, or slaps him. It’s also pretty worrying that she goes out of her way to threaten Klaus so he won’t talk to Diego, or that she gives Diego the ultimatum of choosing her or saving the world (and by extension saving his family). It just... rrrrreeeally sets off my alarm bells for “the manipulative, jealous SO who won’t let you have any relationships outside themselves”.
Obviously Lila is as much a victim as Diego. I get that. I know why she acts the way she does. Anyone raised by the Handler would have mountains of issues. And if the show framed it for what it was, I wouldn’t be bothered. Unhealthy, toxic ships can be enthralling! But, unlike with Allu.ther, Di.lila is framed in a very “haha, my messy matches your messy and we have really kinky BDSM sex!” way that bugs me because it’s ignoring that what’s happening between them isn’t good for either of them. Diego is too scared to lose Lila like he lost Patch so he treats her like she’s something soft, and he doesn’t stand up to her as much as he should (which would help them both), and Lila is similarly too scared that he’ll hurt her so she puts him through emotionally manipulative tests and tries to control his decisions.
It could be fascinating to watch, but their bad behavior toward one another is almost always played off as sexy or funny, and in the rare instances when it isn’t, no one learns anything from it. Diego still bends because he has to play hero, Lila still gets her way, and they ignore their problems with another round of sex while the writing tries to convince us that nothing is wrong.
S4 could potentially fix some of this, because I do think they could be a good couple if they were more self-aware and worked through their problems... but I have my doubts. TUA doesn’t do romance well, and with a few rumors flying around that S4 might be shorter than 10 episodes, I’m not very optimistic that they’ll have time to deal with anything other than Reginald and, presumably, getting their powers back.

The Umbrella Academy, Ep.1x04  – Man on the Moon
I know Venya’s lonely but, come on, given her Dad’s behavior are we truly to believe she wasn’t given any sort of training?  You know a watch out for suspicious people trying to get inside the home, kind of deal because, yea gods, this man is not subtle at all.
I must admit Luther’s story about how he became the way he is is pretty anti-climatic; but they do make up for it by being a complete bastard to Klaus.  To explain, considering the type of person Dad is, one would guess he used Luther as an experiment and that’s how Luther became part…Gorilla, I think? The reality is that Luther was injured in a mission and, when it was obvious Luther was going to die, Dad used a serum on him, which end up turning him.  Unethical as hell, sure, but he wasn’t actively using Luther as a lab rat.
With Klaus, on the other hand, Dad decided to get rid of Klaus’ fear of the dead by locking him in a Crypt, so he couldn’t get away from the specters.  Gee, can’t guess why Klaus started using drugs.
So, let’s the this episode’s B plot out of the way.  Leonard is creepy.  He says creepy things, does creepy things, and is pretty much caught out by Allison; but of course, he does something that Venya thinks is sweet (and most people would still find creepy) and she asks him to breakfast. But we see he’s not a good man as he’s been able to procure Vanya’s medicine (which she says is for her nerves) and dump them down the sink.
But the main story starts with the discovery of Mom, by Luther and Allison; who they believe was killed by Hazel and Cha-Cha.  Luther decides to look for Five.  Diego is also looking for Five, but has decided to stop by Detective Patch’s home first and telling her the his mother died.  He also told her that the two people in masks she’s looking for (Hazel and Cha-Cha) attacked his home the night before and that he has to find his brother; although he’s not clear on which brother he needs to find.
Meanwhile, Klaus is being tortured by Hazel and Cha-Cha and, I will be honest, I felt more sorry for the pair then I did Klaus. At least, during the first few minutes. Cha-Cha realizes that they need to attack him in a more personal way, so they start to go through his coat and destroy his drugs.  They also eat his “Special Chocolate.”  This makes Klaus crack and he tells them that about the glass eye and the lab.  So, they go to the lab to burn it down and send a message.  But between the motel and the lab, the drugs kick in.  They are successful at setting the lab aflame; but Cha-Cha also manages to burn an ear off from her dog mask.  This is important as it is found by the detectives later.
While this is going on, Five threatens the Doctor at knifepoint and demands that the Doctor tells him what’s really going on.  Turns out the Doctor has been selling prosthetics and such off books and on the black market. Which means that the glass eye probably is something that was already created, just not recorded.  Five goes back to the lab to get the list of buyers, only to find the whole building on fire.  He decides to get drunk and go to the library (as someone who works in a library…that’s pretty accurate).
What Five doesn’t know is that Hazel and Cha-Cha left a message on his van saying that they have his brother.  Detective Patch notices and goes to the motel.  Meanwhile, Hazel and Patch are at the motel waiting to spring a trap on Five.  At the same time Klaus, who’s going through withdrawal, is starting to see the victims of Hazel and Cha-Cha.  Ben tells Klaus that he needs to use his powers in order to get information from the victims and use it against his kidnappers.  And he does.  What we learn is that Hazel seems to not really want to do his job anymore, as he keeps letting people get away.
While this is happening, Luther and Diego have found Five at the library and are taking him back to Diego’s place.  Also, Patch has arrived at the motel.  Knowing full well that she won’t get a court order to search the rooms, Patch calls Diego in order to have him come help her.  She calls Diego’s place of work/gym where he lives and asks the owner to tell Diego to meet her.  Of course, Diego doesn’t show up and so she goes in alone.
Big mistake.  She is able to find, and free Klaus, but Cha-Cha was able to sneak around the motel room and shoot Patch.  Klaus escapes and he takes with him a briefcase that is very important to Hazel and Cha-Cha.  Klaus tries to open the briefcase and is teleported through time.
At the end of the episode, Diego arrives at his place and is given the message by the owner.  Diego rushes to the motel and finds Patch on the floor; and by the looks of it, she is dead.  Diego hears sirens and flees; even though it is clear that he doesn’t want to leave her.

Imagine being Caroline’s little sister and recognizing Kol while attending the Mikaelson ball.
Pairing(s): Kol Mikaelson x Forbes!reader, Caroline Forbes x sibling!reader, Klaus Mikaelson x Caroline Forbes (if you squint), Damon Salvatore x Elena Gilbert (implied)
Word(s): 840
A/N: This is the first imagine I wrote for TVD/TO so expect the characters to be somewhat ooc? I apologize for that. Also, if anyone has any other ideas for an imagine or one-shot, feel free to send me an ask :)
"Caroline, are you sure this is a good idea?" (Y/n) asked, adjusting the strap of her dress. She looked at the older blonde beside her as she took a deep breath before putting on a tight smile. Caroline turned to her little sister, smile still on her face, before responding.
"I'm sure that this is a terrible idea. But I need to make sure that Damon and Stefan don't get into too much trouble with Elena."
The younger blonde nodded before entering the household with a nervous smile on her face. Caroline was beside her, her hand grasping onto (Y/n)’s. "Promise me you'll be careful? I still don't want you here but despite me being a vampire your stubbornness still amazes me."
"Promise." She smiled.
(Y/n) scanned the crowd with an unsure look, eyes roaming with hope to spy any of the Salvatore brothers. Though, she hoped to spot Stefan to maybe keep him in line as she knew that Damon was probably already on Elena's heels.
The only word that revolved around her mind at the moment was magnificent. The elegant dresses and gowns of the guests didn't fail to amaze her. She found them beautiful, the details and all. The guys on the other hand looked above handsome, especially those who obviously put effort in their looks. Despite the similar looking tuxes, with some only standing out because of the color, she was still able to distinguish them and admire their attires.
While admiring the choice of clothing by the guests, she spotted Damon with mayor Lockwood in what seemed to be an interesting conversation (which surprised her because she was so sure that he would already be with Elena by now, but maybe she wasn’t there yet. Yep, that was probably it). (Y/n) turned to her side to tell Caroline that she'd be with Damon, but was surprised to be met with no one there. She noticed her walking away, specifically from Klaus, who seemed to be trailing after her.
A chuckle escaped her lips as she didn't miss the look of annoyance painted all over her sister's face.
(Y/n) stalked towards Damon, catching his attention. He flashed her a small grin before beckoning her over. She then noticed that someone else also made their way to the mayor's direction. It looked like he was introducing himself as she noticed him kissing her knuckles. They exchanged a few words before the mayor excused herself.
Almost near them, she heard Damon introduce himself. "Damon Salvatore, have we met?"
"I've met a lot of people, and you don’t particularly stand out."
Damon pulled his hand back as it was obvious that the person wasn't interested in returning the handshake. (Y/n), who was now beside Damon, eyed the intruder with her friend, she swore she'd seen him before, she just couldn't remember when and where.
Like every other male in the room, he too was wearing a tuxedo; his brown hair was perfect, to say the least. Glancing to his face, she noticed the mischievous grin that was graciously on his lips with his eyes reflecting the same as he also eyed her.
The man quickly took a hold of her hand before gently placing a delicate kiss on her knuckle, the same way he did with the mayor.
"Well, hello darling. Kol Mikaelson." he paused as he brought his lips at the back of her hand, "And must I say, of all the people I've seen tonight, you are unarguably the most outstanding of them all."
(Y/n) quickly pulled her hand from his grasp, returning it back to her sides. She was about to respond before Damon interjected. "Woah there Mikaelson, that's the sheriff's daughter. I don't need another original obsessing over the Forbes."
(Y/n) rolled her eyes at him before focusing her attention back to, who apparently was Kol Mikaelson. "(Y/n)...and I think I've seen you before."
"Ah, well, I am quite hard to miss in a crowd. You probably saw me somewhere and thought that I was a handsome lad and -"
She remembered.
"You were the vampire that tried to feed on me earlier before another vampire stopped you!" she snapped her fingers, glad that she was able to pinpoint the certain memory. But as soon as she realized what she'd just said, a scowl immediately made its way to her face as she glared at the original in front of her. "Great job on the compulsion by the way. Totally worked.” She spat, her voice laced with thick sarcasm. “How 'bout next time you actually check whether your poor victims are on vervain or not. Oh, and be glad you weren't able to actually feed from me."
With that, she stomped away from the two males in search for the other Salvatore, hoping that he'd be better company.
Kol's eyes remained on the back of (Y/n), the amusement in his eyes still present. Never had he found himself interested on his failed meal before.
