Abigail + The Invitation with a Klonnie twist
Klaus successfully broke his curse in 1492 and, consequently, Hope was born much earlier.
She is the apple of her father’s eye and he does little to curb her temper nor to temper her bloodlust.
But all children, even the immortal ones, crave the love of a mother.
Xxx
Sorry Im late Klonnie fandom! This is part 1 of 3 parts that I have planned - spoilers for Abigail (kinda) if you havent seen it
xxx
Hope isn’t in her room. In fact, she isn’t anywhere in the compound.
Which means she is likely in the hunting house.
When Klaus arrives, he finds evidence of carnage throughout the decrepit house. He sighs in exasperation as he searches the grounds for his daughter.
He finds her in the library, drenched in blood from head to toe, matching the blood that coated the walls and floors.
It’s vampire blood. The blood of a newborn, and the stench of it permeates the room. He'd have to compel several humans to scrub down the entire library.
Whatever mischief his daughter was up to tonight, he was going to have a stern talk with her about playing with her food.
A young woman faces Hope with her back to Klaus. Much like his daughter, she is covered in blood. But he can hear her pounding heart.
A mortal woman.
Hope sees him before the woman notices his presence, and the soft expression on her face shifts.
“Father!”
The woman turns and stumbles back in shock when she sees him standing before her. Klaus examines her face and he can see she's a pretty thing beneath the gore that cakes her skin and clothes.
But there is something familiar about her features.
“Klaus.” Even though she whispers his name, he recognizes her voice.
He recognizes the fire that burns in those olive eyes, even as they are wide with fear.
This was the little Bennett witch that tried to kill him the last time he visited to Mystic Falls.
Seems Hope was playing her old games again. Bringing a few of his enemies to this house and hunting them down through the night for her entertainment.
In her attempt to back away from him, the Bennett witch slips in the pool of blood and falls to the ground.
A vicious grin curls at Klaus’ lips as he watches her try to scramble away.
”Not that same plucky teen witch anymore, are you?”
“Father, don’t!” Hope’s voice fades into the background as he advances on his prey. “You don't understand!”
”I can smell your fear.” The witch flinches as his fangs grow and his eyes darken.
“Please stop!” Hope yells, but he ignores her.
“I can taste it.” Klaus snaps his teeth and though the Bennett witch grimaces, her eyes begin to harden. If she needed to fight him for her life, no matter how tired she may be or how unlikely she was to succeed, she would.
Hope does not allow things to go any further and she quickly stands between him and the witch. “She saved my life!”
“Hope. Move.” His voice is low with warning. Despite his attention being on the Bennett witch, he was cross with his daughter. She never should have been putting herself at risk and playing these games with his enemies in the first place.
Hope does not falter and her face remains as hard and cold as stone. ”She was here when you weren’t.”
Klaus straightens. “I came when you needed me.”
Hope says nothing but she holds out her hand. When Klaus takes it, he sees the events that transpired. The scheme Hope concocted in order to get several former foes and annoyances into one place. And how things went awry when one of her intended victims, a siphoner, turned himself into a heretic. Half witch and half vampire. How Bonnie Bennett fought tooth and nail in order to kill the heretic and save Hope’s life.
Beneath it all, he feels his daughter’s pain. Her loneliness. Her desperate desire to be seen and heard and cared for by her father. The kindling of fondness she had developed for the clever and plucky Bennett witch.
And finally, she shares with him the secret wish she now has, hopeful for him to grant it.
As Klaus sifts through his daughter’s thoughts and emotions, the Bennett witch slowly stands from the floor with a wary look.
Hope releases her father’s hand with a pout, her eyes wide and shining.
“Can we, father?” she pleads.
Klaus sighs deeply. He never could refuse his daughter anything. Even after all these centuries.
“Very well.”
Klaus turns his attention to the witch (Bonnie. Her name was Bonnie) once more, and she stays resolute when their eyes lock.
She was only a teenager the last time he saw her. A pretty young girl, righteous and impulsive, who managed to harness the power of her ancestors and drive him out of her town. She has grown into a beautiful young woman now, hardened and weary, but that iron core of hers remains.
This witch nearly killed him half a decade ago, but she saved Hope’s life.
Bonnie does not flinch as he reaches for her, and he can't help but be impressed by her fortitude. Her bravery soon turns to confusion when the hybrid gently takes her hand and brings it to his lips. He savors the taste as he places his mouth against her bloodied knuckles. When he pulls away, his lips are stained crimson.
“You must be exhausted, love,” Klaus croons, and the softness of his voice seems to unnerve the witch much more than him flashing his fangs had. “There is a spare room you can use upstairs for the night. And a bath where you can clean yourself up. Hope will show you.”
Bonnie glances hesitantly between Hope and Klaus before she finally manages to find her voice. ”I-I actually think I should... probably go home.”
“I insist.” His tone leaves no room for argument and after everything that had happened to her in the last 24 hours, the young witch had no energy to fight him.
Klaus watches as Hope takes Bonnie's hand and leads her out of the library. She goes along numbly but turns to meet his eyes one last time before she is pulled out of the room.

klonnie au|inspired by the haunted mansion: For over a thousand years Klaus has loved and mourned his former wife, Bonnie. He has searched and discarded many companionships, but no one has been able to love and understand him like Bonnie did. Klaus has forcibly adapted to life without her, but on his journey to break his curse, he sees Bonnie following around a certain doppelgänger. He knows in his heart that Bonnie has returned to him and he's going to need his siblings' help getting her back.
An excerpt from this fic:
Bonnie set her skepticism aside as she sat her duffle bed on the large vintage ottoman of the Mikaelsons spare bedroom. Rebekah planned her birthday sleepover for her fellow cheerleaders weeks ago. This “holiday” was extra special to Bonnie’s physics partner, as her older brothers would be turning home from their business trip. While Rebekah has only been at Mystic Falls High for four weeks, Bonnie oddly trusted her like a sister.
The little witch was the first to arrive at the Mikaelson mansion. With whispers of magic in the house Bonnie couldn’t help but investigate. As a newbie witch, she wanted to find any source of new information possible. Her bedroom for the night was vintage styled and decorated with vibrant flowers in every corner. The smell of citrus hit her nose and she couldn’t be more pleased.
Bonnie did a twirl in the mirror admiring Rebekah’s choice in silk nightgowns and headbands. The witch saved herself some preparation time by pinning up her curled hair. Her peer did inform her since she was there first, she got to choose the red gown specifically. When was the last time her life was centered around an enjoyable night and not the struggles of being supernatural?
“You look beautiful,” Rebekah grinned, and stepped into the bedroom. “I could not imagine my birthday without you. You have been the kindest friend.”
Bonnie quickly accepted the hug. She felt a sense of magic within Rebekah but trusted she’d tell the truth on her own terms. Whether that be as a witch, werewolf or vampire. This girl was kind and it wouldn’t be fair though her friends suggested otherwise to call her out. Besides, Bonnie hadn’t even met the rest of the family. The cheer squad’s first night at the Mikaelsons wasn’t going to be filled with drama, not on Rebekah’s day.
“Wouldn’t miss your birthday for the world,” Bonnie replied, giving Rebekah an extra squeeze. “I can help you set up.”
Rebekah laughed at that. “Nonsense, darling, I can handle everything. Take a tour of my home.”
“Are you sure?” Bonnie asked, with her eyes wide. “What if I helped set the tables, arrange blankets or even do the food?”
“Yes, do not worry in my home you are not a guest here,” Rebekah said, sternly with a sigh beginning to turn away. The teen wasn’t even finished applying her makeup-and was still dressed in her bright robe. The rolls were just beginning to slip in her blonde hair. “Just shout if you need me!”
Bonnie checked her phone Caroline and Elena would be running late for different reasons. The others on the squad were on their way or running behind leaving Bonnie to explore on her own.
The Mikaelson manor sent shivers down Bonnie's spine. The place felt like a magical hotspot, giving her goosebumps all over. While she admired the clever vintage-themed designs of the family, she found their home to be dangerously confusing to navigate.
Bonnie decided to go to the nearest room with a light seeping through under the door. She gasped, as she accidentally stepped into a private art space.
The woman in the painting reminded Bonnie of herself before she entered the supernatural world: happy, carefree and filled with gratitude. Magic gave this woman joy. She existed across different eras, and Bonnie couldn't help but notice the time periods, which ranged from 1002 to the 2010s. The artist signed himself as Nik M with sentiments on eternal love. The woman through the art had lived through each era, embodying the luxurious fashion trends of Black women.
Bonnie wouldn’t go so far as to call this woman her doppelgänger, but the similarities were striking. They both had green eyes, golden skin, thick dark hair and other common traits like freckles in the Bennett’s. The young witch tried not to dwell on it, but for a moment, she entertained the unsettling thought of being a doppelgänger and shivered at the idea.
The painting that captivated Bonnie the most was of a woman with curly hair obscuring her face, holding her head high as if magic were being used to promote relaxation. Surrounded by a lush garden, she appeared more content than anything else in the world. In fact, in none of these paintings the woman was never down; she was at peace. As Bonnie reached out to touch the painting, she quickly withdrew her hand when the door opened.
“Not everyday I find a beautiful woman in my study,”
This man was unlike any she had ever seen. His dimpled grin and the curls resting on his shoulders caught Bonnie off guard. He had an enticing scent of expensive cologne that hinted at his attention to appearance. Although his shirt and pants were a simple dark henley with jeans, she couldn't help but notice his preference for a chain featuring a butterfly around his neck. Yes, she noticed an English accent similar to Rebekah’s.
“You can call me Nik, what is your name?” Nik asked, holding his hand out for Bonnie. “I am one of Rebekah’s eldest brothers.”
“Bonnie. Bonnie Bennett,” Bonnie said, returning the shake.
Their enclosed hand jolted upon touch and Bonnie quickly pulled away hoping Klaus didn’t notice.
“I thought Rebekah said you wouldn’t be home until later?”
“It is my sister’s birthday, what type of brother would I be without a surprise?”
“Dramatic entrance, for a smart brother.”
“I strive for the element of surprise, my love.” Nik smiled at the compliment.
Never being alone with a grown man before Bonnie’s mouth went dry and she got flustered. She was met at an uncomfortable crossroad. Be herself or do what her friends would do? She chose herself first.
“I can leave,” Bonnie suggested, not knowing how to flirt properly. “I know art can be really personal. I wouldn’t want to disrespect your space.”
“As an artist, explaining my motives is just as important. Would you desire a tour?” Nik questioned, holding his hand out for Bonnie. “There are hundreds perhaps more here. All of my wife.”
Bonnie reluctantly accepted the warm invitation. Their hands jolted and she felt a fiery passion burn the closer she was to Klaus.
“Do you mind if I ask what happened?” Bonnie asked, as judging the photos of the woman framed on his antique desk.
“She was murdered, and before that, we promised eternal love. We wanted our story to be heard for centuries. I use my art to cope with her loss.” Nik sighed, as he traced a photo of the woman in seventies inspired clothing. “Love will never die, it was rather the purest forms of eternal affection.”
“I’m sorry you lost her. The way you remember her is really beautiful, Nik.” Bonnie compliments, and secretly swoons over him. “Did you ever receive justice for her murder?”
Klaus mockingly grinned at that question. “That person will never be heard from again. Tell me, Bonnie, do you ever think it is possible for souls to be connected?”
“Sounds like something out of a movie.” Bonnie said, brushing off the question. Not wanting to reveal her witch status.
“I think some people are aligned by fate. What goes around will return if it is meant to be.” Klaus pauses, and gazes into Bonnie really studying her beauty.
Klaus's throat went dry as he realized that Bonnie was exactly who Rebekah had described: his small, courageous, and daringly beautiful witch who loved him unashamedly. The red silk gown sparked the most enticing thoughts in his mind, and her skin still bore the sweet scent of honeysuckle that he remembered. However, instead of rushing to confess things that might send Bonnie running for the hills, he chose a softer approach.
“You're distracting, my love, would you like to see other pieces of art? The gardens perhaps?”
Bonnie blushed in response. There was something mystical and comforting about the mystical English artist. She’d rather hear stories about a man who loved his wife so much he kept her immortal in time.
“First, I want to know all about the artist and his work dedicated to making his wife immortal,” Bonnie said, looking into Klaus eyes. She might not tell everyone but she too enjoyed a romantic story from time to time!
For a fleeting moment that almost made the witch step-away she believed she saw Amber colored eyes but blue settled back in.
“Who would I be to disagree with a ravishing woman?” Klaus asked, pulling Bonnie closer to him. He wanted to moan at how sweet she smelled.
Bonnie giggled, and rolled her eyes. “Then I want that tour of the gardens and the pool area please? Rebekah is still getting ready.”
“As you wish,” Klaus obliged, and he noticed how Bonnie loved eye contact and physical touch as he explained his motives though she already understood him.
Klaus didn’t need to taste her blood or have a witch perform a spell to understand his wife had returned back to him. Once the time is right, Bonnie too will believe in their love again. His mother and father sought to keep them separated and Klaus will go to the ends of the earth to ensure Bonnie never leaves his life again.
The original vampire is just grateful Rebekah stalled Bonnie as he removed the paintings of her sleeping, jogging, gardening and anything else without her knowledge that would incriminate him too soon.

Sweet as Honey
So excited for Klonnie Weekend! Here's a little something "sweet" (as the title suggests). This is set during season 3 at the Mikaelson Ball and features Klonnie's first kiss.
Tumblr media
"You look delectable," Klaus practically purred, leaning close to her. He was internally giddy; Bonnie had agreed to accompany him to the dance floor, even though she didn't seem happy. He knew from the start that she couldn’t reject him without causing a scene, and they were both fully aware she didn’t want that.
With a heated glare, Bonnie pleaded, "Klaus, please."
"I'm only speaking the truth," he said as he tightened his hold on her body against him. "And I thought you preferred 'Nik.'"
"How can you be so bold with people listening?"
"There's enough commotion that no one can hear us."
"You know better than anyone that vampires' hearing ability is exceptionally, strong," Bonnie exclaimed with a tilt of her head. He knew what he was doing, so why pretend otherwise? She wondered what his angle was.
"You're right," he answered with a smirk. "I just don't care about being overheard."
Bonnie and Klaus had grown close in a short period of time. Their bond was more emotional than physical, and it was established under the guise of a truce between the Mikaelsons and Bonnie's friends. Following a recent heartbreak from dealing with her cheating ex, Bonnie found herself feeling isolated. When approached by the Original Hybrid with an offer she couldn't refuse, she found herself becoming infatuated with the most evil person she knew.
She accepted his invitation to have access to his library of grimoires but only when he was present. He didn't ask for anything in return initially. When she arrived at the Mikaelson Mansion to study the spell books, he finally asked her for the payment he had in mind. He didn't want or need money, but he requested to taste her blood.
As they waltzed, Bonnie’s core tightened at the memory. She could recall her arousal upon him drinking from her neck and the kisses he planted upon her skin but never her mouth. Klaus guided her through spells with winks and playful teasing in his library. She knew he was attracted to her but couldn't take his affection seriously considering the dress he gifted her best friend.
As she was brought back to reality, Bonnie remarked, "You don't have to lie to me."
"I have no reason to deceive you," he replied.
"You have the perfect motivation: to drive a wedge between me and my friends."
"Have you considered that I am tired of keeping our relationship secret?" he questioned with a raised brow.
"What relationship?"
"'Relationship' isn't the most accurate word. Does 'mutual romantic interest' suffice?"
"I thought you liked secrets. You're the one who's been flirting with me behind closed doors and pursuing my friend in front of the world," Bonnie said, hating the feeling of seeing Klaus entertain Caroline. He always told her it was only meant to irritate Tyler, but it hurt. After the situation with her unfaithful ex, she vowed to never feel like that again.
"You know that means nothing to me," said Klaus, as his hands wandered lower towards her rear. He'd show that little witch who he truly wanted.
"I know you like to play games, and I refuse to be one of them."
"Oh, I get it. You're jealous."
Bonnie gasped at his delusional accusation. "I am not jealous, and that is absurd to suggest," she responded before she pulled away to leave him.
Of course, Klaus would never make things easy for her, so he followed. "It's absurd that you can deny that I only want you."
The Original grabbed the witch’s hand, and she was suddenly in his embrace again. However, she was unamused by his shenanigans.
"Your actions say differently," said Bonnie, with irritation painting her face.
"You want me to claim you? Fine." Klaus swooped down to capture her mouth in a heated kiss. All he could think of was the taste. Her blood was like wine, and her lips were honey. "You're mine."

These Lips...
Tumblr media
This was his chance and he had to take it. Klaus knew there wouldn't be another opportunity to recruit the town witch that foiled his plans. Bonnie Bennett was loyal to the core, but the betrayal of the Salvatores could be his opening. Her mother, Abigail, has refused to transition into vampirism and her blood is on the Salvatores’ hands. Abby chose death and abandoned her daughter once again, this time permanently.
These circumstances gave Klaus the idea that he could recruit Bonnie. He hasn't had a witch at his side since Greta. She was more useful between the sheets than with her magic since she too had been killed by Damon Salvatore. Despite her inexperience, Klaus knew Bonnie was a real gem with an immense talent for spells and lots of power. This idea may sound foolish, but he was willing to try.
The stars lit the sky as he stood outside the Bennett home. He had knocked upon the door with flowers in hand that he compelled from a florist in town. The door slammed open with unexpected aggression from a girl that he expected to be drowning in her tears.
“What are you doing here?” Bonnie asked with a furrowed brow and hands on her hips.
Taken aback by her image, Klaus stared. The thin, white cotton tank and tiny shorts were the most exposed he'd ever seen her. He schooled his expression before responding, “I'm here to offer my condolences.”
“Orchids? Is this a joke?” She stepped onto the porch in pink fuzzy socks to retrieve the potted plant from his arms.
“I know how much you adore flowers.” The scent of her rose perfume always lingered when
“Thanks,” Bonnie snorted before giving him a dismissive wave. “You can leave now.”
“You won't invite me in?”
“I'm a little tipsy but I'm not stupid.”
Klaus eyed her shivering form and the hardened nipples poking through her top. With her figure on display, he knew her breasts would fit perfectly in his hands. He didn't come here for her body, and yet she's too enchanting to resist.“You look a little cold.”
She was completely oblivious to his simmering lust for her and rolled her eyes, thinking he was pretending to care about her well-being. “I'm fine. No need to worry about me.”
“I know how you're feeling,” He whispered as he stared into her eyes. “I've lost a mother before.”
Bonnie sighed, frustrated with his refusal to go. He would not fool her with fake empathy. She wanted to grieve alone and bonding over mommy issues with a serial killer wasn't on her agenda for tonight. “You killed your mother and now she wants to kill you.”
“We weren't always so focused on rage and murder, you know.”
“That was a long time ago.”
“It was but I can remember it clearly.” Klaus gave a small smile and Bonnie refused to be distracted by his cute dimples.
“And how did you feel after you murdered your mother?”
“I wasn't grieving my mother, but the mother I wished I had. The ache in your stomach, the longing for her acceptance, the overwhelming loneliness…”
“Sounds familiar,” said Bonnie as she looked away from him to count the stars. Talking to Klaus wasn't what she expected. It was too comfortable. And it didn't seem like he was planning to go anytime soon.
“You’ll get through this, Bonnie,” Klaus spoke, focused on the pain written on her face. “You've always been strong, amazingly so.”
“What if I don't want to be strong?”
He gently grabbed her chin, forcing their eyes to connect. “Then allow me to be strong for you.”
“You?”
“I can take good care of you. I just need you to let me in.”
Bonnie hesitated while she memorized every detail of his face at this moment. She was always aware that he was handsome despite his villainous way. The unusual softness in his eyes made her act out of character and press a light kiss to his lips. “Come in.”

~ Corpse Husband ~
AU based on the Corpse Bride but with a Klonnie twist..
Tumblr media
I've spent so long in the darkness, I'd almost forgotten how beautiful the moonlight is - Corpse Bride
Bonnie Bennett ran away from one arranged marriage just to fall into the arms of an undead man searching endlessly for his bride to be after his prior attempts at love ended his life. She mistakenly reanimated the corpse while uttering spells to herself in the cemetery. As he awoke, her voice sounded like the sweetest love language to him. Klaus had to make her his bride.
The truth of the betrayal that led to his death is revealed, implicating Aurora before she can marry Bonnie's real fiance, Jeremy Gilbert.
Aurora is killed by the poison she crafted against Bonnie. But at the end of the night, Bonnie could not marry her living fiance. She left for a reason and that reason only became more apparent the more she fell for Klaus. The fated lovers found a way to transcend the boundaries of life and death when she used the power of the full moon and soul of his murderer to return his body to its living form.
They were wed that night and spent the rest of their days together.

Nothing about why Hope is a powerful witch makes sense, considering the Mikaelson and Labonair bloodline.
Her paternal grandmother wasn't the great witch everyone thinks, she went to her sister for a fertility spell, was always channeling someone and out of her seven children, only two inherited her magic gene. Hayley and Klaus both descend from the seven original werewolves bloodline, but that only means Hope should have been a crazily overpowered werewolf destined to destroy them all, not the death to all witches.
I get why Klaus was her father, due to being the original hybrid, but Hayley? She was a good mother, don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing her but the writing, and it's obvious neither of them had a strong witch bloodline. But do you know who did? Bonnie Bennett.
She should have been Hope's mother, it's what makes the most sense plot-wise.
