yknow, whenever V starts going on about how what he and Rika had wasn't love it was obsession, I'm like... why can't both be true? Does it have to be one or the other? They were definitely obsessed with each other--or really, the idealized versions of each other they had in their heads--but that doesn't mean there was no love. Love and obsession together aren't healthy, but they're not mutually exclusive either. Okay I need a billford fic where Bill's therapy includes having to make amends to Ford, thus Ford is brought to the Theraprism. It's going extremely badly in the beginning, neither Bill nor Ford wants to cooperate, Bill doesn't think that he did anything wrong, Ford just wants to go home, et cetera. Eventually, after several sessions spanning several months they start to bond, open up to each other, and Bill allows himself to be vulnerable for the first time in like forever, he even ends up apologizing to Ford in tears, only for Ford to dissipate at the end of one of Bill's sessions. Then a bunch of therapists walk in with wide smiles, clapping and congratulating Bill for making such progress thanks to the Theraprism's new hologram project.

Bill just stays on the ground staring at the white tiled floor of his room where he saw "Ford" disappear.

Falling in love and then realizing that you are experiencing those feelings are two completely different things. I do think it took a while for either of them to truly understand how they felt about each other, and who realized first is up for debate, but the moment the fell for each other was the exact same.

No. No. You don't understand. I don't care if that writer is "mischaracterizing" that character in their fics, because sometimes these authors are such hopeless romantics that the character ends up being absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Their one fic would be enough to make ME fall for the character and appreciate them. It shows me the scope for things I can potentially appreciate about that character. I don't think you understand the beauty of that.

just saw people on twt getting mad that gale said a literal god wasn't good enough for him . i need people to understand that he didn't mean it like "I deserved more than a literal goddess" he meant that his actions were foolish and made it LOOK like he thought himself above one. that he should've been content with what he had, but felt he had to prove himself to her.
