Picturing Shen Jiu genuinely having no idea how the fuck to deal with his new family. There's the lazy tsundere with encyclopedic monster knowledge who apparently just stole his body and married his least favorite student. There's his least favorite student who apparently grew up to be a demon emperor. And there's his older brother who apparently turned out to be a serial killer. I just. I want Shen Jiu looking at his family and coming to the absolutely horrifying realization that he's the normal one. He's the only person in this goddamn family who is even capable of interfacing with normal people. He ends up rebefriending the jiejies at the Red Warm Pavilion on the trading basis of he vents about his weird family and they give him a list of shitty people to aim his older brother at.

+bonus points if Hannibal is the prodigal oldest child but Shen Jiu is the beloved spoiled fucking rotten baby of the family who unknowingly has all three of them wrapped around his finger.

Shen Jiu also has Yue Qingyuan wrapped around his finger!

His begrudgingly best friend is the rat's son who doesn't piss him off on a daily basis - which is more than what he can say about everyone else around him.

(Will is kind of... grateful? To finally have someone that he can easily read like a book. After being surrounded by all sorts of people that he can't use his empathy on with accurate results, it's quite comforting to know that his empathy can still work on SOME.)

Just need to brag about this as I can't tell any people in person so basically, in january my online friend group of like 7 months at that point decided to rebefriend a guy who caused 4 months worth of drama (leading to 2 of my friends being banned from the website we used, like ip banned). Naturally ya know I dont trust the guy i mean he made callout posts on all of us for our 'horrid' actions when all we did was mention that we didnt want to be around him (its a really long situation but yeah) but all my friends now thought he changed and got mad at me for not trusting him immediately. like even my closest friend was giving him a chance despite her confessing to me that he didnt trust the guy fully anyway.

this led to my entire friendgroup eventually cutting me off and making up like 18billion reasons for why I suck?? (including fake doxxing allegations) also my girlfriend broke up with me due to this situation and also the fact i talked about fictional characters,,, it was a rough time

HOWEVER cut to march, and I log back into my account on the site for the first time in a very long time and lo-and-behold, the guy was still awful and my entire friend group split up because of him and now everyone hates each other. ik its awful to be like "i told you so" because it seemed to be a very upsetting situation, however... i did tell them that it was going to blow up in their faces because the guy hadnt changed and I WAS RIGHT

jacob's hollow is one of the biggest missed opportunities of the books imo, they literally showed the hollow relationship with H and horatio later on and i was 100% sure that it was foreshadowing jacob finding and rebefriending his hollow and that would have been KICKASS!! i live in my own little universe inside my head where all of that happened and Jacob has a best hollow buddy for the rest of time

I LOVE AND MISS JACOBS HOLLOW. The fact he was just used to power the panloopticon with no interaction or stimulation hurt my SOUL the poor fella. And also, the fact that he was basically psychologically tortured the entire time?? like, they can smell peculiars extremely well, and I bet being surrounded by hundreds every minute of every day, accompanied by a feeling of insatiable hunger, while being paralyzed and incapable of reaching them??? Not to mention that before the anesthetic was administered he was screeching in pain, so he very well could’ve been in pain the entire time but incapable of moving. 😭😭

This would be such a three+ parter for a fic series. First part this angsty whump slow burn of enemies to something with the twist at the end of Dick running from Slade. A hurt comfort of Dick trying to put his life back together while being forced take up leading the Team again. Then bam! Slade is back and more angst! Would be fun.

Slade could be very fun in this fic because his motivation could be all over the place! Does he become genuinely attached to Dick? Is he taking advantage of an opportunity he saw? Does he feel Dick owes him because he nursed him back to health? Is he personally insulted Dick is wasting his abilities running comms? Did Slade just want to see what would happen and is wining it? Who knows!

I know this is prime SlaDick marital but have you considered the identity porn potential Dick blackmailed into working with Slade meeting Kaldur who's undercover and rebefriending him as his other alter ego? add in some guilt of them enjoying doing crimes more then their heroic responsibilities, especially together and ship.

I have plot bunnies. Was wondering how time traveled WMLP Dick would explain having a healing factor like Slade's (Good luck with that Dick) ended up day dreaming into a new au and living up to my namesake. So idea: A government is trying to recreate the experiment that got Slade his powers and make their own unit of Deathstrokes. Dick or the team is investigating human tracking and human experiments. Dick infiltrates the facility but gets caught (suspend your disbelief here). Evil scientists decide to use Nightwing as a spare subject. Most of their subjects are dying anyway, and he's around the right age and health standard. May as well get some more data before they kill him. Slade who came to shut down the experiment for more personal reasons, finds Dick before the Team does.

I have this image of Slade finding Dick curled up in a cell. The roots of his hair are turning sliver in patches. Dick puts on a brave face and tries to barter his way out but Slade can see how exhausted he looks and guess what happened to him.

Nightwing in the YJ show is always so fun to mess with because he is definitely Nightwing, like he's not some strange other version of the character with the same name. The story is very different, his role as a hero is very different, his experiences are very different, but he is still quintessentially Nightwing. I tend to blend all my canons together a lot to make stories but the YJ canon is really fun to mess with on its own sometimes, especially with nightwing.

He's just so young and like, different (?) to how he is in other storylines. like Nightwing of YJ is not Nightwing of Teen Titans. they're just not the same. and what we see of his relationship with Batman is so interesting. And then on top of that the timeline for the batfam is so weord to mess with because within five years Dick becomes Nightwing, Jason becomes Robin, dies, Tim becomes Robin, and there's no actual proof that Dick left Gotham for his own city, so for some reason he became Nightwing but stayed in Gotham but Bruce still went and found a new Robin? like. what?

ramble aside, Nightwing being captured and experimented on and saved by Slade before anyone else is so fun. I'm imagining this as like, post season two maybe? or actually no, cause by then he's quit as team leader. so imagine just before season two, maybe Kaldur has already started going undercover in the Light, and Dick gets captured. It falls under the radar a little because he's very independant and things with the light and the reach haven't started to boil over yet, so they assume he's got caught up in some other mission. unless of course he gets kidnapped on a mission. the absolute panic of that. THey've already lost one leader (Kaldur) under mysterious circumstance and now they've lost Nightwing too? Wally and Artemis having already retired from heroing and hearing about their friend going MIA is a Thought. M'Gaan and Conner being out somewhere else doing some other mission.

ooooh wait. in season two Dick has had to fall back on a support position as leader of the team, because they have had to start splitting up on multiple missions and the only way to effectively lead everyone is to be at the mountain on comms and computers. this would be a fun explanation for that. Him getting kidnapped and experimented on, Slade finding and saving him, helping him heal and figure out what's happened to him, and Dick skedaddling as soon as possible because he doesn't want to get double kidnapped and he can tell Slade is very close to doing exactly that.

showing up at the mountain after running from Slade, who has been giving chase... oh that's fun. makes me think of a series by mizufallsfromkumo called Gravity.

Anyway. He's barred from field action for a bit while the league makes sure he has a psych eval and stuff, cause that sounds like a procedure they'd have in place after someone is kidnapped and captured. And because of that no one learns about the fact that he's kinda sorta a supersoldier now and he wants to keep it that way. and then the season starts and he finally gets back in the field and everything. and when Slade shows up in the show he immediately spots Kaldur'Ahm and is like 'yeah there's no way this turned evil shit is real' and he hunts down Dick while he's on patrol to be like 'well hello there. so this can go two ways...' because he now has leverage.

him using Kaldur as leverage to make Dick strike a deal with him, so this time there's no running away. Dick showing up as renegade months later and no one putting two and two together because he's wearing a mask and he's not supposed to be a supersoldier.

I've realised I already have two different fics that follow a very similar plot to this lmao. one is from whumptober 2021 and the other is just only a few chapters in and I haven't had a chance to get back to it lmao.

What Kind of Man? is the idea of Dick handing himself over to Slade as payment for his silence about Kaldur and Artemis. Oh, Well, Call Off the Dogs, We Found Her in the Woods involves Dick getting kidnapped and experimented on to make him a supersoldier (and will eventually involve Slade).

Also if this is an idea you vibe with I would reccomend the series I linked before (although I think it's been discontinued? it's unfinished at the least) and also An Active Imagination by @withthekeyisking-writer. oh! and Dia a Hero by Foreverwhelmed.

Yeeeeep. And All Might is not pleased at all. Very few people are pleased: though in my story its not like that exactly?

Izuku doesn't really remember much of the day he jumped. And he has some difficulties with reconnecting to classmates and others which is revealed to be his Quirk’s fault.

Bakugou feels guilty though not as much as All Might. Bakugou never tells anyone what he did and tries to rebefriend Izuku. This is where the Omegaverse would come in as the end goal is childhood friends to lovers for Bakugou.

It's kind of a poke at fics where Bakugou and Izuku still get together after all this and a bit of commentary on how not admitting shit when you fucked up that badly isn't okay.

Okay All Might for equal asshole opportunity?

I'm going to turn this one down. A while back I said the only three people I'd never have be an asshole would be All Might, Iida and Izuku. Izuku since he's my fav, and the other two because most of the fandom completely hates them.

Some people have good points: All Might did fuck up a lot with Izuku. But God the amount of wildly OOC stories where he's this Quirkist monster are way to much.

I do have a half fic idea where Izuku jumps, gets a healing Quirk and All Might is so incredibly guilty he keeps trying to make it up to Izuku.

I can also see All Might low key having Quirkist thoughts with a Quirkless Izuku, but being confronted with how wrong he is time after time because Izuku just outspeeds everything he is thrown at. And he says some oh-oh shit before being told off.

But that's about it? Sorry, I know this is the Equal Opportunity Asshole series but given how the fandom likes to treat All Might as this monster I'd prefer not, if that makes sense?

this is the next version of frisk.

10034 years after their death, they are resurrected by an old experiment that Afton accidentally left on the surface. they wake up in a box in their old home. after all these years, most of the Nightmares tried to embrace their new lives as souls of agony. there is still ecstasy in them though, and it still makes causing suffering hard on them. especially towards others that are already suffering. Nightmare Fredbear saves frisk from the others after they first remeet. after all this time, Nightmare Fredbear believes the world is being cruel to him for sending a child to the house that looks so much like their best friend. in the house, frisk has two choices. to show mercy, and rebefriend the Nightmares. or to kill them all. this version of frisk shows mercy, and is brought into the Nightmare family. unofficially adopted by Nightmare Fredbear, since he doesn't have access to legal papers. sadly, frisk has to leave on their adventure. the mountain that the animatronics are trapped under is calling them. it just so happens that the Nightmares anticipated that frisk would climb the mountain. six children before them came over the years to the Nightmare house, hoping to be killed. not wanting to kill a suicidal child, they all tried helping them have will to live. eventually they got attached. when those children realized that the Nightmares wouldn't try to kill them anymore, they went to the mountain to try jumping to their deaths instead. they thought frisk was trying to do the same thing. after a large fight, frisk revealed who they were. the Nightmares give up trying to save them, consumed by guilt and grief, and they let Frisk jump. Frisk then finds themself in the underground. they get attacked by a flower, and then adopted by the Marionette. Mari tries to give frisk a home, but the call to adventure is too loud. frisk eventually escapes the ruins, and runs into Fredbear, who pulls a prank on them, and cracks a few jokes. they go on an adventure through out the underground, getting attacked by animatronics, and befriending them during the fights. several members of the royal guard, including captain Foxy, try to take their soul out of their still living body. frisk befriends them though. they even get on TV with Funtime Foxy and Funtime Chica, the Funtimetwins™! frisk eventually makes it to the kings, who both try to kill them, till Afton realizes that it's Frisk. before he can explain, the Marionette attacked them, to save Frisk. everyone they met then comes to stop the kings from killing them. after that, the flower from earlier steals everyone's souls, becoming the Golden God of Hyperdeath. Frisk then fights the god, and WINS by showing Mercy and saving their friends. the god breaks the barrier, and frees all of animatronic kind. Frisk would then go on to be the ambassador for animatronic kind, once everyone is on the surface. from then on, they are no longer afraid and have lost all self preservation skills. they fought a literal god and won, who the hell are they even afraid of now? their reactions to people trying to kill them is "meh". they got ✨worse✨ now, and are in deep need for therapy. they died so many more times in this route than in the 80s. thoughts on the exceptionally worse Frisk Afton?
