can we just appreciate how great the word heartwrenched is?

it gives exactly the idea of a fucking house sitting on your heart, like you cant breathe by how much it hurt you, it makes the sound of being heartless not because youre angry, but becase its away for fixing and you dont know how long it will take to fix it back.

like theres a fist holding on it for dear life but in doing so your life is being squeezed out of it, and it hurts, it physically hurts because the other idiot running ourselves decided itd be a great idea to turn our emotional pain into physical pain; so all that grief, sadness, pain, anger and wahtever other emotion too big to describe not only messes up your brain, it messes up your whole body.

and maybe you cant process it all but its still there and it hurts.

i think heartwrenched is the final stage of sadness, of pain, of grief, of whatever emotion we labeled as "bad" but is actually just part of us and proves that we love something, because being heartwrenched proves that we love (or loved) something or someone so much that when that is no longer there, or its broken in some way, you feel the pain, and that pain is so strong that it reflects on our bodies, on our other emotions, on our life.

heartwrencehd is like getting a lung pulled away from you, and even if somehow youre still surviving youre not okay.

heartwrenched may be the longest fucking word to describe sadness and terribly easy to mess up writing, it may not be the happiest word ever, but i like it way better than happy.

heart-wrenching changes in heartwrenched even if the dictionaries dont have it in them.

heartwrenched is a beautiful word and i love it.

i found a snippet i can share without forty pages of accompanying context because of how obscure the AUs that haunt me are lol here is achilles being sad in troy from an upcoming chapter of glass slipper

He isn’t entirely sure how long they’ve been here, fighting and waiting for fighting. Sometimes it feels like he was born here on the sand, listening to the familiar crash of wave after wave on the shore. Here, the sounds of the water mix with the always chattering, running, cleaning, clamoring, drinking, laughing, crying soldiers in the camp. He can’t pull apart the sound of the waves from the sounds of the soldiers. Dimly, he knows Phthia’s waters sound the same, but the way the camp’s ambient noise has woven in with the ocean’s makes him feel as though he’s on an alien planet, that this isn’t a real ocean, that these aren’t real people.

look 🙏 i do see the possible appeal in that i aint gunna lie one bit and as the creator of these characters the idea of being able to seemingly talk to them sounds pretty cool! BUT i simply cant jump on the AI train to Any extent it just wouldn't sit right with me. I feel like it would unnerve me after a while plus the idea of my OCs being 'off' or having out of character dialogue that's out of my control kinda gives me the willies. It seems like one of those things that are simply too good to be true in a practical sense so any possibility of it happening just goes into uncanny valley like do i wish i could take my ocs out of my brain and talk to them HELL yes ( if i dont get killed first) but that should be an impossible thing to do unless im dreaming or hallucinating or some shit. It's like the AI images ie. i Could just type in a bunch of prompts and shit out like 30000 images of my ocs so that i could look at them but where would the yearning be after that??? The loving sculpting of them in my brain while im trying to capture their essence with my hands into a drawing??? One of the main reasons for my ocs to exist is so that its something for my brain to toy around with and wallow in like a cat in catnip, so the idea of being able to just 'lay everything out' so easily just ruins the whole ' i have mysterious little dudes in my head that i mold around everyday to try and figure them out' aspect if that makes any sense??? PLUS im pretty sure the chat ai basically takes paragraphs from writers so for me to be so abhorrently against ai images yet being on board with chat ai when its ~surprise~ stealing from real writers feels like the most hypocritical ass shit i could do sO long old head 'robots evil' rant short: its a no from me dawg

Summary: After a month of being engaged, Charles isn’t used to calling Y/N his fiancé, and accidentally calls her his girlfriend AGAIN. Y/N being true to her words, decides to stop wearing her ring.

A/N: I am on my period and it SUCKS, i haven’t been able to get much sleep sadly and i really want chocolate and there’s no chocolate in my house 😩 also, if I were to ever give Charles and Y/N a dog in my fanfics, it will not be Leo since he is a Saint Mleux as well, not just a Leclerc

Y/N was in the paddock at the Monaco Grand Prix, she had to be there for Charles’s home race. She was happy she did, Charles got P1, Max P2, and Lando P3. Charles kissed her when he got out of the car, she saw his podium ceremony, literally the best GP she’s been to, nothing could mess up her mood. She was in the hospitality snacking on whatever they were offering her while watching the post race interview on the TV and something happened.

“So Charles, we saw you kissing Y/N after your big Home Race win, how long have you guys been together?” The interviewer asked.

“Yes, my girlfriend and I have been together for 5 years.” Charles said and his eyes widened. Max and Lando were also looking at him like ‘ooh, she’s gonna kill you’ “Wait, no, that’s not what I meant..” Charles started but the interviewer ignored him and started asking Max and Lando questions.

Y/N was in shock, how dare Charles call we his girlfriend on live television. So Y/N did what any normal person would do, she took off her ring and placed it securely in the inside pocket of her purse.

Charles in the other hand was panicking after the interview.

“Okay, try not to panic.” Lando said.

“That ship has sailed, Lando. I’m panicking, I’m fucking panicking!” Charles was paving around the room.

“There’s probably a good chance she didn’t see the post race interview.” Lando said.

“And if she did? I already called her my girlfriend once, you know what she said she would do if I do it again? Take off her ring.” Charles said.

“Maybe she was bluffing, she wouldn’t actually go through with that, she loves you too much. I have never seen a couple love each other so much.” Max said and Charles smiled.

“You’re right, Max, she loves me, she’d never take off the ring.” Charles said. He left the room to go to the hospitality and saw Y/N eating fries. “Mon ange! Did you see the interview?”

“Muñeco! Yes I did.” Y/N said.

“I am so sorry, I really am.” Charles takes Y/N’s hand in his and noticed something was missing. “Mon ange, where’s your ring?”

“What ring, muñeco?” Y/N asked, feigning innocence.

“Your ring, your engagement ring, where is it?” Charles asked.

“Charles, I don’t know what you are talking about, why would I have a ring? It’s not like I’m your fiancé or anything, I’m just your girlfriend.” Y/N said and Charles pouted.

“I’m sorry! I swear I am so very sorry, I didn’t mean it.” Charles begged for forgiveness.

“Let’s go home, muñeco, can we order in?” Y/N asked.

“Yeah sure, anything you want, mon coeur.” Charles said. They were walked to the car and as soon as they got in, Charles expected Y/N to put her ring back on since they are not ‘in public’ anymore but she didn’t, the ring was still off. “So mon ange, have you been thinking about when would you want the wedding?”

“Wedding? What wedding? We’re not even engaged, Charles.” Y/N said. You know the saying ‘if they go low, I go lower’? Y/N is going as low as the depths of hell for a slip of the tongue.

“Mon ange, is not funny anymore.” Charles whined.

“Did you order food?” Y/N asked.

“Yes I did, we’re picking it up.” Charles said.

“Cool.” Y/N said.

The drive to the restaurant and back home was silent.

“Okay, we’re back home now.” Charles said as they entered the apartment.

“Yes muñeco, Im aware.” Y/N said but she still didn’t put her ring back on.

“Mon ange please wear your ring.” Charles begged, wrapping his arms around her waist, her back to his chest. “Please, I promise to announce our engagement on Instagram.” Charles kisses her neck. “Please just wear the ring, I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, you are the best fiancé a man could ever have.” Charles whispered in her ear as he places little neck kisses.

Y/N turned around and saw Charles pouring with teary eyes and she felt her heart melt.

“Aw muñeco, okay, I’ll wear my ring. But promise the whole world will know we are engaged. I love that you want your friends and family to know first, but it hurts me when you still call me your girlfriend.” Y/N said and Charles kisses her forehead.

“I know, mon ange. We’re going to let the whole world know that you’re my fiancé.” Charles kissed her passionately.

the air as the weekend approached was filled with an adrenaline of its own. drivers loitering on the paddock, a camera shoved up each one of their faces. most of them were making videos for their teams social media, while others were giving interviews. silly banter & playful hazing surrounded the place as the free practices neared. as calm and laid back as the environment was, a new buzz had taken over the virtual world. it seemed like the redbull fans had taken on a new intrest in a the friendship you and max shared, suspecting it could be more than just friends. you’re shocked as you read through the articles, what could possibly make it seem like you were both in any sense more than just friends? max was like the brother you never had, and you, the sister he had always hoped of having. as much as the articles were delusional, you didnt really care that much about them, i mean why would you be afraid when there’s nothing youre scared of being open to the public? okay, maybe not everything. not the time when you were so drunk you demanded every guy on the paddock to quote “settle it with me on the ring”, not the time when you were the culprit behind the hilarious azerbaijan mix up where you stole the champagne on the podium and replaced it with an empty one, and definitely not the fact that you’re already taken, by a person known to all on the paddock.

The morning of the race was always an exhilarating one no matter which team youre driving for, or which team you’re rooting for. the passion, the dedication and the confidence in the each and every drivers persona was enough to fill you in the same mindset. though youve always been a redbull fan, which, i mean is definitely not even surprising considering you probably frequent their garage more than some of their own engineers, youve always held an admiration for all the drivers. even you knew how dominant the redbull cars were, so seeing the rest of the drivers still catch up with less resources filled your heart with pride. you look up at the fan’s waiting impatiently for the race to start with a smile on your face. this, will never get boring, you think.

you could never get sick of this. the same ride, the same atmosphere, the exact same playlist playing over and over again, the curves of the road as you drive through. because you know, at the end of this journey would be the same thing you look forward to, every time. so you get into you car, and drive the same drive to the same spot, once again. at a pillar reading out “623” you stop by the ferrari you know all too well.

there he was. i could never get used to seeing him like this, you think, dressed up in formals but looking formal in no way whatsoever. shriveled hair, buttons unbuttoned, jewellery he knows how to style in just the right way. his crazed eyes of emerald, gazing into you with an intensity that makes your nerves shiver.

“took you long enough to come here” he says, holding you waist. “it was a longer drive than usual” “is that so?” he says, stepping aside you to rest against his ferrari, right beside you. folding his arms, he continues, pulling a cigarette out of his blazer, “want one?” “please, today was a bitch” “i could say the same for me, really” he reaches towards you, lighting your cigarette. “races in monaco are my favourite” he says, looking up at the sky. “yeah, id imagine so. nothing beats home” “yeah, it’s great to be home and all, but theres also something in monaco that beats the thrill any race could give me” he steps forwards, hands placed beside either sides of you.

he pulls the cigarette from your lips, taking in a puff himself. he brings his lips to your ear, “or rather, theres someone in monaco, who beats the thrill any race could give me” he whispers, blowing the smoke away. he flicks the cigarette aside and steps on it, as he lifts your face up, meeting your eyes with his own. “someone who sighs right when i kiss her here,” he goes on to place a chaste kiss on your mole, right on your neck by your jawline. and like a story repeated enough times, you sigh. “someone who arches her back when i pull her hair slightly like this,” he gently tugs your hair, making a makeshift ponytail and like a telltale, you arch your back, the satisfaction of being right sprawled across charles’s face.

He did it again.

Like always.

Why does he always has to act like such an asshole?

You didnt know.

Hell, you were sure he didnt either.

In one Moment he is all sweet and then his mood changes and he gets all moody with you and treats you like shit.

You dont even remember why you fought this time it was probally the most stupid thing like always.

"Baby, im sorry."

He said, sighing. But you didnt answere.

He always did that. Said something mean what hurts you and the moment he realise he went to far he starts apologizing and sweet talk you. But he didnt mean it. He never did.

When he was met with your silence he sighs again louder this time. Rafe was a Drama Queen. When something didnt work out like he wanted he snaps.

"Really? You wanna play it like that?" he continued, unamused.

"Fine."

Rafe wasn’t one to back down easily.

but when it came to you, he’d do anything to stop you from being mad at him.

He just couldnt without you.

He groans annoyed as he wrapped his arms around your waist and throws you over his shoulder completely ignoring you squirming.

He's going to take you out. Let you order and eat as much you want.

Go Shopping with you buying you pretty dresses and skirts.

Of course he is going to carry your bags around. And if your shoes get to uncomfortable of course he is going to carry you too like the princess you where for him.

Rafe knew this maybe wont work on you.

But he at least has to try.

One minute more of this silent treatment and he would loose his temper. And he really tried not to.

He wanted to hear your pretty voice again. Even if you just yell at him.

He needs you.

He walked over to his car, and gently let you down into the passenger seat. He then came around to the driver’s side, and sats down before he buckles you up and gives you a small forhead kiss.

Then he buckles himself up and starts the car, making his way to your favorite Restaurant.

With an annoyed huff you turn your gaze out of the window while crossing your arms over your chest.

He looked at you for a secound before turning his gaze on the road again.

He knew he riled you up for sure this time.

he could feel the tension in the air, and it was so thick it was almost suffocating.

It made him sick.

He didn’t even like arguing with you.

it made him feel like trash, seeing you annoyed because of him. But he just had to open his damn mouth and cause a scene.

He didnt know why he always acted like that.

He just couldnt control his anger.

It was so stupidly hot inside of this fucking car.

But of course he didnt turn the air conditioning on.

He always said he doesnt want you to get sick.

Annoying.

You tried to open with window but it was locked.

"Open the window..."

You mutter annoyed.

He raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised that you were talking to him rather than keeping up your one-sided silent treatment.

He didn’t hesitate, though, and rolled your window down.

"There you go."

he said flatly, keeping his eyes on the road.

Why did he say it like that?!

Did he except you to thank him?

You sticked your hand out of the window enjoying the cold air against your warm skin.

You wouldve thanked him.

Rafe hated it when you were a ungreatful brat. But right now he deserved everything but an "thanks".

A small pang of irritation flared inside of him as you didn’t even give him a ‘thank you’.

He wasn’t expecting one anyway, he did cause this, after all.

But still.

He let out a huff of breath, grip tightening on the steering-wheel. A moment of silence passed before he spoke again.

"You’re not gonna say it?"

he asked.

"Dont know what you mean."

You say annoyed laying your hand on the outside of the car.

He felt the annoyance grow even more inside of him.

"Jesus Christ..."

he muttered under his breath.

He knew you’d try to get under his skin. You weren’t gonna let go of this.

“Say 'thank you'."

he prompted through gritted teeth.

He couldn’t take your snarky attitude anymore. Even for a moment longer.

He pulled the car into an empty parking lot as soon as he found one, he turned off the car and turned to you.

"Say. It. Now."

He demanded.

You shook your head. You where pushing it. You knew that. But after the things he said to you earlier he deserved it.

"Or what? You gonna yell at me again?"

You asked looking at him.

You could see the anger in his eyes.

"I’ll do more than just yell at you. Say it."

he ordered, eyes narrowing, his voice dropping low.

"For what?! rolling my window down because you for whatever reason have a stupid childlock in your window?!"

You snap.

He reached over and gripped your jaw, forcing you to look at him.

"Stop testing my patience."

his grip on your jaw tightens.

"If I tell you to say ‘thank you’, you say ‘thank you’. Got it?"

He says while gritting his teeths.

You slap his hand away and move to open the door.

A surge of anger passed through him as you slapped his hand away. He really didn’t want to hurt you, but you were really starting to push his damn buttons way to much.

He leaned over and pushed you back into the seat, one hand gripping your hip and the other resting on your neck.

his eyes boring into yours.

"Stay in that damn seat. Im not done talking with you."

he said, as his jaw clenched.

"I dont care if youre done or not cause i am!"

You snap.

"I don’t care!"

he mocked, his patience wearing thin.

"You’re acting like a goddamn child right now. If you can’t even say ‘thank you’ for me rolling the window down, than maybe you need to learn how to act respectful. God, you’re acting as bratty as Wheezie right now."

He says as he pressed down on your neck slightly.

"Im acting like a child?! Youre whining like a little bitch because i didnt thank you!"

His eyes widened at the insult as his anger flared.

"Stop. Talking. Bullshit. If anyone’s acting like a little bitch, it’s you. You can’t even act like a goddamn adult for ten minutes and show me any sort of respectful appreciation."

he fired back, raising his voice.

"Maybe because you dont deserve any kind of respect after acting like a stupid asshole the whole morning!"

You yell.

"I was acting like a stupid ass-"

he cut himself off mid-sentence, scoffing in disbelief, and rubbed a hand over his face, taking a deep breath.

"Well, Jesus Christ, maybe you should’ve just let me apologize back there instead of giving me the silent treatment and acting like a goddamn brat!"

he retorted, voice growing more strained.

"Yeah Rafe do that again. everyone is wrong except you! Stop with that fucking victim playing its seriously so exhausting!"

You yell.

You where right.

He always did that!

He lets his anger out on you making you lose your mind but acts like you started.

"You know I get angry easily, yet you’re still being an irrational, annoying little pain in the ass like you always are!"

he snaps back, his temper getting thiner.

"You’re acting like a spoiled little brat right now, acting like all of this is entirely my fault. You always act like you’re always right, but guess what? You’re not!"

He yells.

You take a deep breath as you shake your head and look out of the window.

He lets out an exasperated huff.

He didn’t like this. He didn’t like arguing with you at all. Seeing you annoyed because of him was the last thing he wanted.

He stayed silent a moment before he tried to speak again, voice lowering a slight bit.

"Look at me."

he ordered.

Your ignore his order looking at the trees around the parking lot.

He raised an eyebrow at your actions, his anger growing once more.

"baby, I said look at me."

he repeated.

You sigh as you turn your gaze back to him.

"What?"

You ask still a bit annoyed but clearly more calm then before.

He breathed out a sigh of relief as he saw you turn to face him.

He took a sharp breath.

"You’re actually giving me a headache, you know that?"

he muttered.

"That feeling is mutual."

You say with a huff.

As annoying as he found you at the moment, he still couldn’t deny the fact that he needed you.

He exhaled another irritated sigh, as he laid his hand on your thigh.

"Stop being so difficult, baby. It’s just making things worse for both of us..."

he said, voice taking on a softer tone.

"You started all of this."

You said looking down at his hand.

“I did.”

he admitted with a nod.

“But you’re the one keeping it going with that bratty attitude of yours.”

he pointed out, gesturing to you.

"Cry about it..."

You mutter under your breath as his grip on your thigh tightens.

"Keep this up and i give you a reason to cry about."

He says with a stern tone.

You just nod. You didnt wanted to keep this up. You didnt wanted to keep fight with him.

You have to admit you liked pushing his buttons but real fighting was different.

He raised an eyebrow at your nod in response, not expecting you to be compliant so soon.

"Why are you being so compliant now, baby?" he questioned, a bit of confusion laced in his voice.

"Not in the mood for this anymore."

You simply say.

A hint of relief flashed across his face.

"That’s good, because honestly, this arguing is getting tedious as hell."

he admitted.

"You done acting out?"

The Dark Side of You

Hey yall! You good? So I was thinking about the dark, shadow, unevolved, unhealed (whatever word you want to use) sides of each sign. I noticed something and maybe it’s just me here.

I noticed when you’re not acting your best self, you tend to act like the dark side of your sister sign .

Personal example: im a cancer rising so that means when I’m at my best and working on myself, I’m warm, I’m welcoming, I’m calm, I’m shy at first but never standoffis. But honeyyyy when I’m not in a good place mentally, all of my Capricorn (the dark side of cap) come out full blast. I’m standoffish, I can be hella cold, Im extremely blunt that comes off as rude. It’s just not good energy to be around or in lol

Since your rising is how the world perceive you, when you’re at your worst then the dark side of your sister sign acts up lol

Also look at your Mars sign for anger and Moon for overall emotions

I was thinking back on times when I didn’t handle my anger well. I have Mars Libra. So the way I deal with my anger is through a creative outlet because Libra is a Venus sign. I also listen to music or I try to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict, very Libran lol now at my worst, when it’s not controlled, my Aries energy comes out! I don’t care about your feelings, or what happens, my mouth has no filter whatsoever lol but that’s not the energy I’m suppose to be in when I’m angry this lifetime

i think the reason that there’s going to be another jurdan book (supposedly) is mostly because Jude and cardan both have very unfinished stories.

you know that deleted scene at the end of qon where Jude and cardan are all sweet laying on the grass together? it was cut for a reason, and replaced w the epilogue in the mortal world.

In that epilogue, Jude herself hopes in her head that cardan won’t lash out at any humans. i always hated that part in her monologue, because it shows that Jude still doesn’t even really know the man before her.

it’s bittersweet that in their time outside of the series after qon, that maybe Jude learned why cardan wouldn’t lash out at humans. or maybe she’s yet to learn it in the new book.

but while i feel like there’s potential for them to do more, not just politically but with their relationship, some things are better left unsaid.

also, i don’t see the series being very romantically focused on Jurdan, only because miss black hasn’t really done that when it comes to her folk of the air series before. it’ll def be more politically driven.

i dreaded the publishing of the stolen heir and the prisoners throne because i worried that it would ruin Jude and cardan for me, and while that wasn’t the case, i still found myself unsatisfied with their story and how the entire family doesn’t really know each other.

don’t get me wrong, i do love family drama, but at the same time, Jude and cardan and oak and vivienne and Taryn have all endured so much trauma, I’d die for them to just be happy.

i assume the political problem will be the one i vaguely remember from the prisoners throne, the croin guy who hates orlagh and nicasia (can we blame him) and his evil sea buddies who attacked that ship oak and suren were on

Anyway i def think madocs dying in the next books, since it’s undersea based, and he had the queen of the undersea shot and whatnot, and while the ghost payed the price for that (sorta but not intentionally) i still think madoc is kicking the bucket.

Someone important is gonna die and i dread it.

on a lighter note, i really wish that miss black would pick up some of her older characters, not just for cameos. (Not gonna happen but i can HOPE)

i want to see Ben and severin, corny and Luis, Kaye and roiben, Val and ravus and their cute little troll babies. i want more info on the greenbriar line, on Val moren, on Locke even, his parents, on Jude’s parents, oriana, grima mog, anyone.

I’d especially like to see oriana and madoc finally have a relationship that isn’t based on obligation, one where there isn’t cute little Oakey pokey to take care of now that he’s grown. especially if it’s like scraps, like random interactions they have from someone else’s pov (idk i just think that’s so cute)

Lastly, all the hate im seeing abt jurdan potentially being the main focus for the next book is halfway understandable but also pretty sucky, as if oak and suren didn’t have their own duology after tcp trilogy. i can understand ofc not wanting them to be the main focus but slandering miss black over it is just rude, let her lock in and create another beautifully written fantasy world with complex characters.

also we know pretty much nothing. what the author said doesn’t even automatically confirm it’s going to be a jurdan book, but conclusions have already been jumped to and half the fandom is super excited and the other half hates the thought of jurdan getting another story.

edit for whoever sent that ask: of course it’s fine to not want them to be the center of the book! i agree, but yknow what they say: “you get what you get and you don’t get upset!” so maybe let’s not say mean things abt the author because that’s not very nice, if you’re gonna criticize, criticize the work and not the creator?

she doesnt really add anything to sundew, besides like.. i dont know, making her .. kind? she atleast has someone to be herself around.. but dude jus. im not invested in willow. i literally had to quit tpj because its SO boring. willow has no traits at all and shes only around to be "sundews girlfriend". like, yeah! i love queer rep. im a gay guy myself. but its just.. so boring dude. im not asking for abusive or unhealthy relationships, i just want the characters to be seperate people aside from the relationship.

1, hazel is literally a relative of sequoia. DO YOU KNOW HOW INTERESTING IT WOULDVE BEEN, TO REALIZE THAT SUNDEW, BELLADONNAS DAUGHTER, IS DATING A RELATIVE OF THE SAPWING QUEEN????? THATS SO FUCKING COOL!!! IT RAMPS UP THE DRAMA!!! IT ACTUALLY ADDS SOMETHING TO THE RELATIONSHIP, UNLIKE THE BLAND FASTEST BURN POSSIBLE THAT SUNLOW HAD!!!!! PLUS we'd STILL get the sapwing introduction.

2, hazel has personality. shes her own character, she has traits, and she is able to get along with sundew. its not hard to make a character with an actual personality! i can list off things off the top of my head about hazel! she loves reading to the point she strains her eyes, shes carefree, she loves to bind books together! willow is jus.. happy and sundews girlfriend. thats all she is. sure, maybe add courageous to the mix? but again shes just.. not interesting. she doesnt have any passion. shes just there.
