fighting with my demons (wanting to be supportive of all kaito vocaloid portrayals but finding six packs on him so weird, off putting and out of character (at least to how i see him be commonly portrayed and with my own personal vision) on him that i can't wrap my head around it)

Astro Observations
Pt 2
It's so unreal how well Taurus placements can cook. Especially if there's Cancer in the big three. Taurus suns also have natural green thumbs
Cancer suns with Gemini Venuses are in constant conflict between they're ego and what they actually desire for love
This is definitely becoming common knowledge on the internet but all Libra placements that are personal and not generational are gay to some extent. Something about the scales allows them to go both ways I don't know . Depending on the placement and degree, it might make them uncomfortable, or the may proudly embrace it. But personal Libra placements can definitely go both ways
Cardinal signs are obsessed with each other, even though they're so toxic for each other.
5th house and Leo placements really love music. Leo rules the 5th house which is all about music, creativity and fun. So these natives really feel it.
Having your sun in the 11th house is a beautiful placement and creates a selfless person, but its the only placement for the sun to not be about "I" anymore. The sun is all about ego and self, ruled by Aries, but the 11th house is all about the collective, friends and the "greater good". Your ego is also heavily influenced by the collective and how you insert your self into the world.
Taurus moons have round/visible nostrils. They all have a green thumb for cooking as well
Aquarius suns and moons have very square shaped jawlines. Both the men and women.
The best sun+rising combo I've ever seen for Aquarius suns has to be Cancer rising. The blend is really heavenly and harmonious, the Cancer really softens out the Aquarian features perfectly (talking about the women idk about the men). This is only physical though
The best combo for Cancer suns definitely has to be Virgo in the big three. Either in the moon or rising, Virgo gives Cancer this snatched look that blends perfectly with the bone structure of cancer suns. (I'm also mostly referring to women here I don't know about the men) Although physically pretty, the combo creates a super insecure individual
Travel is such a big theme in the lives of natives with personal 9th house placements. It almost becomes the focus of life if there's a stellium.
Having your moon at 17 degrees (a critical Leo degree) makes you hella dramatic with your feelings. They're still valid, but you come off as a drama queen when feeling them.
Cancer suns are just as insecure and attention seeking as Leo when underdeveloped. Even though they're not sister signs they're ruled by the sun and moon, so essentially they are each other inside out.
Pisces is represented by the fish and the suns usually have big/swelled features and look a little bit like fish. Virgo placements have sharper/more defined features and Aries placements have prominent/tighter features.
Neptune aspecting Venus is a very underrated beauty indicator for transits and natal charts
Sagittarius rising are blessed with good luck in life since their chart ruler is Jupiter, the planet of luck. They also have hips on the larger side since Sagittarius rules the hips
Capricorn rules the skeletal part of the body and the native suns really have that skeleton bone structure in the face
Moon conjunct Rising is one of my favorite placements synastry placements for friendships. They are each other inside out and understand each other without words.
The most underrated house for the moon imo is the 9th house. The moon does really well here, there's a natural optimism and lightness to their feelings and emotions. I think this is from the influence of Sagittarius and Jupiter. They're also really funny people naturally and have a kind of intelligent humor
Cancer and Taurus placements are such big foodies. They also know how to cook very well and genuinely enjoy getting fat over other signs. Obviously all signs have the ability to cook, but Cancers and Tauruses make that home cooked comfort food that tastes like the feeling of your mom carrying you to bed.
5th house moons never feel emotionally fulfilled unless they're feeling some kind of fun or pleasure in life.
Taurus suns are the definition of work smarter not harder
Aries Mercuries are so smart especially if the sun is in Taurus or Gemini.
Geminis are known to talk with their hands and Italy's rising sign is literally Gemini...
You can always tell someone is Somali from the size of their forehead and the countries rising sign is literally Aries
Venus in the 8th house natal and synastry is that kind of ride or die love
Capricorn sun men actually think people what to hear their life lessons/lectures. It's really corny but they genuinely think they're helping. They also care so much about their rep but will never admit it. It makes sense because they rule the tenth house which is the house of popularity and is associated with our public image and rep. So obviously when Capricorn is in the sun, planet of self, their ego is closely tied with how they're perceived by others.
Scorpio moons are low key delusional but it's okay you guys had a rough childhood/relationship with your mother
The sexual attraction is crazy when you have the same mars sign as your partners rising sign (example. Leo mars-Leo rising) or if you have your mars opposite to their mars (example. Leo mars-Aquarius mars)
Aries moon women in red or leopard print is so perfect
Your gonna love the sun sign of whatever your rising sign is since the sun will naturally embody all the traits that you admire and will effortlessly be everything you want to be portrayed as.
Taurus risings, suns and moons look like bulls
Cancer venuses can lowkey hold down gemini venuses, it’s really harmonious for friendships. Not as compatible relationship wise because cancer venuses really don’t mess with how gemini venuses love. The love languages are just too different but when there are no constricting boundaries and it’s more of a playful friendship this pairing really works

The condom in their wallets is brilliant 😭 I love it a lot. I want to ask in your head canon, what sizes are they and which types they prefer? 🫣
Sorry to disappoint, nonnie, but I wouldn’t know the first thing about condom types‼️💔 Howeverrrrrr, as for my general (human) dick headcanons, they were already in my drafts a while back, so here you go!! NSFW warning, obviously🙏🏽
To anyone else reading this, my requests are still closed!! These are just my ramblings, or old requests I had🫶🏽
Tip jar!

Zayne: I’m sorry but this man needs a prayer and intense foreplay before anyone can take him. He’s an (unsurprisingly massive) 7 inches long, and his girth is no joke either. A pretty straightforward cock, no curves to be found, but the nicest thing about him is the two veins running down the sides. Dark tip too, if you ask me. He cums a lot all in one go (poor pent up guy), and it’s of average consistency and practically no taste. He’s pretty healthy, after all, even despite his sweets intake. Carpets perfectly match the drapes, but no one knows because he regularly—and canonically, btw!—shaves all the time and doesn’t let it grow out.
Rafayel: More length than there is girth, actually. I’d say a perfect 6 inches, with a slight upwards and right curve that hits the spot perfectly. His tip gets SO red when he’s aroused, and it’s what you can call “pretty” imo. No prominent veins, and his skin is SO soft too. His cum is a little on the thin side, and he doesn’t cum a lot, but it does taste a bit salty. I firmly believe he trims regularly. I wouldn’t say he shaves completely, but he likes keeping things neat and tidy. Carpets are only slightly darker than the drapes; think of a darker shade of purple. All the above changes if we’re talking about his Lemurian form, though.
Xavier: Coke can dick truther🙏🏽 This man is GIRTHY. Like, stretch-you-out-so-well-you-can-cum-from-that-alone girthy. In terms of length, I’d give him a lovely 6.5 maybe, but nothing will ever beat how full he makes his lover feel. One vein at his base, and a fat tip to match his cock too <3 Very thick cum I believe, considering his diet, and is the absolute king of creampies because he loves seeing it spill out. It’s pretty bitter though, fair warning. Carpet doesn’t match the drapes at all; his curls are a rich brown and he usually doesn’t do much about them. If his lover dislikes it though, he’d shave or trim or whatever they like.

So, I’m becoming increasingly interested anti-psychiatry but there is one thing I’m really struggling with that I’m wondering if is something that you’ve ever struggled with/been bothered by or had to find some way to deal with. I have a brother who doesn’t believe in mental health. Like, the concept of mental well-being. He doesn’t believe in medication or therapy either. But, he also doesn’t believe in germ theory, or vaccinations, or frankly, most science. He isn’t explicitly a flat earther but he also argues that it hasn’t been proven either. For most of my life, I’ve argued with him about the mental health stuff because I’ve struggled with depression and adhd (or, I guess, the handbag of symptoms that gets called depression and adhd). I’ve had to insist “No, I can’t just go for a walk,” and “No, I don’t just need a planner.” So now here I am, learning about anti-psychiatry, finding a lot of it resonates with me, and also finding out a lot of what I have been told is scientifically proven, is not scientifically proven at all (like schizophrenia being genetic, for example). I guess what I’m asking is, is my brother right in this specific issue? Is the concept of mental health or mental well-being bullshit? And whether it is or isn’t, do you ever find it difficult to reconcile that being anti-psychiatry is going to make you look like an anti-scientific conspiracy theorist? I’ve had this same thing happen to me with fat-acceptance and still struggle with the fact that if I try to explain to anybody that the way we’ve been taught weight loss and weight gain work, and the way we perceive fat medically is largely false or unproven, people look at me like I said the moon-landing was faked. It’s especially difficult because I’m a teacher at a university and I feel like I have no choice but to just play along there when these things come up, or else my credibility as a teacher could be drawn into question.
right so this is rather precisely the problem with treating Science as intrinsically an arbiter of Objective Truth lol -- you can't just make metastructural rules about how to know when a scientific assertion is true, you do actually have to evaluate what is being argued & on what evidentiary basis. science is a human form of knowledge-production & it is fallible to the same biases and ideological commitments and weaknesses as any other human inquiry, & the scientific establishment can and sometimes does rally behind all kinds of nonsense -- like psychiatry. the difference between psychiatry and germ theory isn't that psychiatric claims are structured differently or are patently nonsense on the surface, it's that the underlying epistemological principles of psychiatry are circular, the evidence is consequently lacking & always will be, & its assertions continue to be clung to & defended because they are economically useful whereas germ theory has an extremely robust evidentiary base supporting assertions that are demonstrable & have borne out in both lab and real-world observations & trials. incidentally, treating germ theory like it must be true simply because Science Says So is imo not in fact good for scientific literacy & communication bc it results in many people having very little understanding of how to defend or evaluate it when it's on the ideological-hygienic chopping block. & it also leads many people to vastly misunderstand the incredibly slow & piecemeal process by which germ theory was even assimilated into mainstream scientific thinking in the first place: hygienists for decades after pasteur were perfectly capable of 'accepting germ theory' while in practice operating off a number of environmental-miasmatic principles, smth i would argue many people still do in practice today. im sorry i don't have a generically Im Pro Science answer for you here, i don't actually think science should be exempted from the same rigour & consideration we apply to literally any other form of inquiry and knowledge-production.

Okay bored and Box made me talk abt my Dirk so I‘m gonna share some info on my Dirk and Bro (except hes just dirk but older instead of dave‘s bro)
Tumblr media
Okay, My Dirk is either 17 to 20 in my art
I generally will keep aging him up to match my age too (as youve seen when I was his age (i joined the homestuck community at 16) i drew him the way hes portrayed in homestuck)
so if im still a homestuck when im over 20 you‘ll see LMFAOO
unless otherwise stated (like in my babysitting adventures series)
He has one eyebrow piercing which I always forget to draw LMAO
his haircuts r always messy or i draw him with overgrown hair
he also still has a bit of baby fat to his face which is why idk if u guys noticed but i draw him w more of a baby face compared to jake and the others (projection BUT my face is getting more defined hehehehehe guysss im growing)
Also my Dirk has an accent in my head (I switch from southern to german in my head ahahah)
I very much gave him my body except his chest is smaller (slams fist to table in agony)
he stares a lot bc yo seeing other humans!! hello!!! im also projecting my own fascination w observing other humans bc im weird
and ofc my dirk is trans in all my art soz idc 😵‍💫
Okay thats it for him, if you have more questions ask in inbox
Tumblr media
„Bro“ Older Dirk 27-32
why end at 32 bc i cant imagine myself older than that lmfaoo
ok first baby fat is gone also generally more sunken face cuz i gave him an eating disorder hes in denial of and also cuz of substance abuse
he a junkorexic imo
but eventually inbetween those ages he switches to those protein freaks but instead of natural proteins he lives off of protein bars and powders (erm dude what abt other nutrients bozo)
he has scarring from previous eyebrow piercing, got another one on other eyebrow
he does not bother w his hair, I decided for it to be that type of greasy hair that sticks to his forehead he also rarely cuts his hair or gets it cut cuz i made him lack awareness of the state of his appearance
also projection of fear of looking at himself too long cuz detachment to physical appearance
ah right stretched ear lobe piercing cuz i think its cool
u dont see it here but he probs has gum disease LMFAOOO
if more questions ask in inbox or share own headcanons u think id be interested in
cuz theres more headcanons but i only wanna talk if mention of such topics
Anyways they both have bpd younger dirk untreated and older one somewhat treated (doesnt put too much mind to it, decides to isolate as he thinks its whats best)

Tw:— ED (eating disorder)/disordered eating, restriction due to stress
Please be cautious going forward if you are recovering from an ED or triggered by such content. Your health matters most of all. Take care!
Death note in the context of food is very interesting. But it is especially apparent with Light imo. L is gluttonous and it’s WIDELY discussed, and I think it’s funny (and sad) how that contrasts with Light.
First off, Light barely eats at all onscreen. When he DOES — four times, please correct me if I’m wrong — it’s either for presentation, or as a part of a plan. (Two of the four times are dinner scenes, one is breakfast, and the other time is the potato chip one we all know and love). This is strange, because most of the main characters (and even side characters) DO snack occasionally (Misa and the task force), if it isn’t already a main quirk of their character (see L, Mello and Ryuk).
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
(This one of Near was NOT in the main canon, I think. But it’s cute so I’ll include it).
I don’t think I need to provide pictures of L, Ryuk or Mello lmao. But I would like to point out that, though Misa refused to eat cake once during the Yotsuba arc as “cake makes you fat”, she does not seem to be against an occasional treat (in the latter part of the series, she seemed to actually be an alcoholic. As we know, alcohol generally causes a bit of bloat).
Compare this to Light —>
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Onto the potato chip scene itself, what happens just before is… kinda domestically fucked up?
Tumblr media
We know that, about a month previously Light states (telling Ryuk the details of his first days of using the note) that he’s “lost 10 pounds”. Besides the implication that he was flexing his martyrdom and arguably being proud of the fact that he is knowingly letting his body deal with the cost of being Kira, this explicitly calls out his restrictive eating habits at times of stress.
Tumblr media
Most importantly, I think it’s very unlikely that within the month between the two statements (Light pointing out his weight loss and Sayu commenting how he’d get fat if he kept up a habit of eating right after dinner), he gained back any of that weight. He certainly couldn’t have been LESS stressed with L on his trail. Which means Sayu was saying all that after he lost a noticeable amount of weight (if you are already lean, -10 pounds tends to show). And Light… kinda sorta justifies this (I’m too lazy to pull up the anime dialogue but as I remember it sounded even more defensive). Of course it can just be normal sibling banter and this is all a reach, but I digress.

Where in Texas do you recommend to live? I dont like Dallas, my main three im looking at are Austin, San antonio, and Houston. Maybe corpus christi too.
houston is probably the best out of the three, to be honest? fewer water issues (besides flooding lol), excellent food options, job opportunities, etc. land subsidence will be an increasing problem over the next few decades though. plus, traffic is horrendous.
houston is also disgustingly humid and the summer is miserable. it isn’t as pretty or nice scenery/nature-wise as other cities, unless you like pine trees a lot. if you’re interested in outdoor recreation, austin is the best (just please avoid town lake dear god)
i have a soft spot for san antonio and austin! there is ALWAYS something going on in austin (live music, comedy, etc), and despite what ppl say, austin culture is still around if you know where to go :))
that being said. traffic really is killer, if you’re going anywhere more than a few miles from your place anytime between 8am-8pm it’ll take at least 30 minutes 😭 but!! you do eventually learn what roads to avoid and it gets easier to deal with!! if you’d asked me this a few years ago i’d also mention how expensive austin is—and while it definitely is more expensive than other TX cities, the housing bubble has effectively popped and prices are going down! comparatively, lol
san antonio, on the other hand, is very very slow compared to other TX cities. food options are a bit more limited than other places, but the mexican food more than makes up for it imo. and, austin/san marcos/new braunfels are close and make excellent day trips!
SA is an older city and i find it’s a lot more laid back than others? there’s generally less to do (the city lacks medium sized venues so you either get very small artists coming thru, or huge ones that can sell out the at&t center or whatever), but the museums (SAMA, the witte, the mcnay) and zoo are much better than what austin has to offer. it’s better for families imo? it’s kinda hard to make new friends in SA, too, as someone in their 20s who doesn’t like bars… also. there are a tonnn of fat people in SA !! that doesn’t make them nicer to fat people in general though, i’ve found austin likes fatties more loll
DONT MOVE TO CORPUS CHRISTI. my bsf is from there and calls it corpus crusty lol. water issues (terrible drought), massive brain drain, city government is pathetic 🤷‍♀️ it’s alright to visit but there’s reason people go to Port A or south padre instead 🤧

I wanna talk about the pride artwork for HB, because like a lot of other people I have some thoughts.
Tumblr media
Firstly, positives:
It overall looks pretty good imo. The colours are bright and the picture has nice energy. I don't mind the HB/HH artstyle in general, it's mostly the designs that are the problem (the designs in HB are better than in HH). It is very cluttered, but I sorta learned to deal with that and I don't mind as much here.
Millie being there for Moxxie is cute and she looks amazing.
The outfits for some of the characters look good.
Sallie May being a Lesbian is nice (idk why, it just is).
Verosika looks great and very pretty (as always).
I like the idea of Loona taking Octavia to her first Pride parade. I like the idea of them hanging out in general and I want to see more of that.
Beelzebub looks cute.
I like the face Barbie makes (idk either).
Now onto the things I don't like:
Some of these sexualities seem kinda like they were just made up on the spot. Loona being Bisexual is nice, but she literally only ever showed interest in guys and there was never anything that could lead us to assume that she's Bi. The same thing goes for Mammon or Andrealphus. For Andrealphus it seems like they just made him gay to excuse the weird comments he makes about his Sister and especially since a lot of people started using their weird relationship to imply that Stella has some problems as well and isn't just a heartless bitch. Now they can basically just say: "Andrealphus isn't weird towards Stella, he is literally gay, why would he harrass her". I don't mind as much with characters like Bee or Barbie, because they only showed up once and it would've been pretty difficult to confirm their sexualities.
A lot of people mentioned Mammon being Ace just seems like an excuse to not put him in sexual merchandise or something. He is the only fat character in HB (who is actually relevant) and he is one of the two ace characters. It feels sorta disingenuous when the only two ace characters are a teen and the single fat character you have. Especially since, if I remember correctly there were a lot of people (including me) who found Mammon attractive and were looking forward to more sex-positivity for plus sized folks, especially when in Vivzepops shows theres only him and Mimzy (Adam as well maybe).
Why do a lot of the pansexual demons in this show feel stereotypical. Bee and Asmodeus are fine, the background demons as well I guess. Blitzø is super horny all the time and could fill a whole party just with people he slept with. Verosika and her followers are succubi who we saw sexually assault Moxxie. Barbie Wire manipulated a teenage/barely legal human to do what she wants by using her body. And Chaz is a literal and very open sexual harrasser/abuser. The only joke he has are making unwanted sexual remarks toward Moxxie and being horny. He has a sign that says: "I will fuck anything", which isn't what pansexuality is and the wording makes it really weird ("anything" not "anybody"). And he looks at Andrealphus weirdly. Him and Blitzø are also naked for no reason.
I would've loved to see some nonbinary/genderfluid/genderqueer characters. We don't have one confirmed genderqueer character. How about nonbinary Octavia or Vasago. Or genderfluid Moxxie. Or bigender Barbie or something. I just wished we had anything like that. Also a personal headcannon of mine, but Asmodeus should probably be Polyamorous. He is the incarnation of Lust and with how they wrote him in the show it's kinda hard to believe/doesn't make sense that he is in a monogamous relationship.
Where are Mayberry and Martha? They were confirmed to be sapphic and so far they're the only sapphic characters in an actually sapphic relationship we see in HB. Why does Wally get to be there but they aren't? Why is Vasago there instead of them, when he hasn't even showed up in an episode yet? Why is Vasago there in general? It's not like i'm gonna be happy with him being confirmed to be gay because there is nothing we know about him yet.
Why is Tex not there? Did they just forget him? He might be straight but he could still be there to support his girlfriend and isn't he literally Verosikas bodyguard. He was at the weird Blitzø hate party with her, but not here?
Isn't Chaz dead?
Why would Asmodeus and Fizz go to the same parade as Mammon, when the only episode with Mammon so far has dealt with how much he hurts Fizz.
You might say: "This isn't supposed to make sense, it's just a more interesting way to confirm characters' sexuality for pride month, so it doesn't have to make canon/logical sense". Which I would agree with, if they didn't excuse Stella and Striker (two pretty important characters) not being there by saying something along the lines of: "Do you really think they would attend a pride parade?". Maybe not, but I also don't think Chaz would attend a parade, being dead and all. I also don't think that Barbie would go out of her way to go to hell, just to attend a pride parade, especially since her brother is there too. I also don't think Andrealphus would go out of his way to go to a parade filled with imps and people he doesn't like. I also don't think Mammon would be there because it's nothing that brings him money or something. Stella might be straight and that's the reason she isn't here. But her brother (who she seemingly likes and confines in) is there and she could go to support him and her being straight isn't even confirmed, so she could very well be queer. And isn't Striker queer as well? Im sorta confused with that, because they try to make him a bigot (probably also homophobic), but the scene he has with Blitzø in "Harvest moon festival" seems very queer. His offense at sexual remarks could also imply that he is a very sex-repulsed asexual or Demisexual or something. Unless of course they want to use the fact that he doesn't like sexual remark from men as a way to make him seem homophobic (even though him reacting bad to unwanted sexual remarks doesn't mean he's bigoted, like that's well within his rights to be uncomfortable). It's not as if Viv shows restraint with making villians/antagonists queer in general. Mammon, Chaz, Andrealphus are all antagonists in HB and are also there. In HH they literally went out of their way to confirm Vox being in a relationship with Valentino, a rapist. It seems like being Straight/Bigoted/too much of an asshole to show up only applies to the characters who actively dislike Stolas and to the only main female antagonist.

"Wall-E was a fatphobic movie" I'm sorry, where, in all of its run time, did it make the assertion that the humans aboard the Axiom were lazy and to blame for their situation? Where did it mock them or assert they had less value because of being fat? Where were the insults and negative comments directly aimed at the obesity of the passengers? Did I miss the narrative where the fat passengers were completely incapable of doing anything and failed to make a stand against the autopilot? Did we watch different movies? Or did some people just fail so completely at competent media analysis that they saw characters who were portrayed as "fat" and "helpless" unitilizing "mobility aids" and conclude "oh this movie hates fat people".
Before I get into this, a few things:
I am fat. Very, very fat, fatter than 99% of adults in the US. Probably fatter than you, maybe not, who knows! I feel very comfortable determining what does and does not feel insulting to me as a fat person.
I am disabled. I have chronic pain, joint instability, and various other conditions that make my life hell but aren't "literally can never walk". I feel VERY comfortable speaking on portrayals of disability and mobility devices in media because of my own experiences.
I like the movie Wall-E. It is cute, speaks to me in many ways, and can be something of s comfort at times. But it's not sacred, it's a product of Disney, and is not free from criticism. There ARE things to criticize in Wall-E, do not get me wrong, but this isn't one that holds water, imo.
Anyway. Onto the meat and potatoes.
In reduced gravity environments like a space vessel, even with some form of artificial gravity, people need to do extra exercise to combat muscle atrophy. And as muscle atrophy kicks in, fat stops being burned and starts to accumulate. That's a literal fact of how the human body works in low-G environments, and if you watch the commentaries for Wall-E included on the DVD, you'll know that the writers knew this because they poured research into it to get it right. The writers wanted to tell a story where a megacorporation obsessed with corner cutting and automation left an unfeeling computer in charge of the lives of generations of people, and explore how that mindset in time would lead to the complete reduction in autonomy of human lives. And to do so, they followed muscle atrophy and sedentary existence with constant advertising to its logical extreme.
The chairs the characters move about in are on paper mobility aids, but in the story were explicitly said to be marketed as luxury recliners, and explicitly shown to ONLY be able to follow the predefined paths on the ship, and any deviation on board was very explicitly shown to be met with force and manipulation. Effectively speaking, a mobility aid ceases to be a mobility aid when the autonomy of the person using it is removed. A wheelchair that the user has control over is a mobility aid. But a wheelchair that only allows the user to enter company approved stores and locations is a tool of control. To argue that a movie in which something that COULD be used as a mobility aid, but is instead is being used to control the movements of people, is making negative comments on mobility aids, is about as shortsighted as arguing that a movie where cybernetic augmentations and prosthetics are used to control people is making negative commentary on prosthetics. The issue is corporate control, not disabled people existing.
The most damning thing for the idea that Wall-E's central narrative is fatphobic is that the fat humans on the Axiom are not shown to be any less human than we are because of their fatness. The moment they are ripped away from their 24/7 distractions and the blinders are ripped off, they get up, start looking around, and try new things. They're never once shown to be lazy, inherently lacking in initiative, or unwilling to change their circumstances like fatphobic narratives love to make us out to be. And most damning of all for this idea, in the credits, when everyone has returned to Earth and started growing food, they continue to use the machines that helped them before, and they continue to be fat! It's not even model reuse, brand new 2D animation is made showing years of crop growth and human activity, and the people continue to be fat! Because that's realistic, that's just as realistic as the people being fat in the first place.
At the end of the movie, there's no narrative of the fatness being a problem to be solved, and no abandonment of technology and assistance, because the struggle in Wall-E was never against fatness or reliance on technology, but against corporate control of human lives. Wall-E as a movie is very enthusiastically pro humanity and pro technology. Wall-E's entire existence as a man-made robot character enamored with the things humans left behind, things that reflected who we were, speaks volumes to this theming. Even AUTO was shown in the end to never have been truly evil, because he was just following his orders to keep humankind from going home. The true villain of Wall-E was always Buy-n-Large, and in a broader sense megacorporations as a whole. From how Buy-n-Large created the problem with endless trash and countless satellites, to how Buy-n-Large sold humanity the solution in the form of luxury cruises you just KNOW not everyone could afford, to how Buy-n-Large continued to control generation after generation of humanity, the ire in Wall-E was always focused on corporations, not fatness or disability.
As a fat, disabled person, I'm kind of personally insulted that people will overgeneralize fatphobia and ableism to the point that they will ignore the facts that there are, in fact, negative things that can cause weight gain, and that things that help disabled people can sometimes be used as tools of control. It is such a painfully surface level reading to assert that all stories in which fat people exist but don't have agency or good physical health are fatphobic. In cases like Wall-E, it would actually raise a lot MORE questions if the people weren't all fat. Questions like "how are they not gaining weight?", "why is there a healthy diversity of body types if nobody is active?", or even "why have the writers deliberately chosen not to represent these characters as being fat when they objectively would be?", just to name a few. It's a fairly basic thing to say, but there has to be a clear, coherent message against fat and disabled people in a narrative in order for claims of fatphobia and ableism to hold water. If the story you claim is fatphobic or ableist just has fat people of lesser ability who are fat and less able because their lives are controlled, and no overarching themes blaming them for their circumstances or insulting them for their condition, then you do not have a compelling argument.

Bg3 Body-Type Headcannons
Because 4 body types isn’t enough imo
(Keep in mind that these are all simply my opinions and nobody has to agree with me)
Karlach- The same as how Larian designed her, just more muscular in the arms.
Shadowheart- I like to think Shadowheart has a more pear-shaped body type than the hourglass Larian blessed us with. I’ve also seen people portray her with a very large chest, but honestly I can’t see her with more than a C cup. Because of the rigorous training she underwent I can still see her being quite lean but not pure muscle.
Lae’zel- Slightly more muscular, and completely flat chested. Githyanki are egg-layers and I have personally seen no reason for them to have mammary glands. They’re almost reptilian and reptiles don’t chest feed or just have mammary glands generally so like… yeah you get my point. I also feel that she should be at least a bit more muscular because she’s a fighter who’s been trained to kill from birth. None of the Githyanki should be as frail-looking as they are.
Wyll- Honestly… Larian cooked. He looks fine. The only thing I wish were different is his hair. I feel like he’d look so majestic with long locs with little golden rings and cuffs.
Astarion- I can see the argument people have for him to look like he does, and I don’t completely disagree. However, I just feel like the two centuries of abuse and starvation would make it a little difficult to be as ripped as he is. Personally, I feel like Astarion would be way more lean than he is, with far less visible musculature. (Edit: someone said he should be more “boney” and I completely agree.)
Gale- he should be a little pudgy. This man is a book obsessed wizard who spends his days in his tower with his cat. I don’t think he’s wasting his precious studying time with working out to be cut as hell.
Minthara- honestly, I feel like a paladin of her power level should be a little more built than she is. Like not body builder or anything crazy, but at least more visible musculature.
Halsin- he should have a bit of a tummy I think. Like I don’t doubt that he’s muscular, but I don’t think he should have a 6 pack either. I can’t really think of an example- but just imagine him as he is with a little bit of tummy pudge and that’s how I picture Halsin.
Jaheria- honestly, I think she’s fine? Like I dont know I look at Jaheria and think- yeah that makes sense.
Minsc - looks fine as he is, but like Halsin I could also see him with a little bit of body fat. But he looks fine either way.

Hi!~
I saw the little thylacine joey plush you made and was wondering if you had any advice on making baby animal plushies in general (maybe slightly more cooked haha)?
I have some plush making and pattern drafting experience but am kind of stumped on how to get that "just born" look.
My personal goal would be newborn kittens but insight on any species would be greatly appreciated ✨️
I love your plush work and that little joey is so cute and unique.
Thanks hehe! Ooh, I've always kinda wanted a properly newborn looking kitten plush. Plenty of kittens out there, but I've never seen one that looks fresh enough! I think plush companies are too afraid to step into that ugly-cute zone haha. Gotta let it be an awkward little weird half-naked mouse thing! A wriggling little grub!
Here are some notes on what would make the perfect baby kitten imo (may apply to other babby too):
Eyes still closed... (The eyes on my joey are actually a grey pom pom stitched on, with a little stitch over the top to define eyelids, which I think worked well for that ugly puffy fetus look lol. Would be a good method for some baby birds too! But for more developed babies, just a simple embroidered line for a closed eye would be good.)
Ears tiny and folded and low on the head! Sometimes you can't even see them from the front lol... round head.
Mouth is kinda big actually.
Fat round tummy and short little legs
Paws are furless and pink and they can't sheathe their claws yet. Kind of look more like little mouse hands... you can really see the fingers. I would make them pretty flat with stitched toesies.
Bright pink around their mouth and tummy too, very new kittens have pretty thin skin so they look especially flushed. Marker/paint/airbrush probably.
Short, soft fur, ideally a kind of sparse or wispy texture?
Floppy! Like it can't even lift its head properly yet! Go for a pattern that works well as a beanie, like sprawled on its tummy, and give it a kinda narrow neck and heavy head for maximum patheticness.
Give it a weird gross little belly button nub lol
Squeaker....

i hope this isn’t too weird but im a young trans guy and i was just wondering when did you start to transition? i know some people didnt start until they were older and im a little nervous about taking testosterone shots due to my extensive fear of needles and having religious parents. how was it for you? was there any set backs? this whole question would be really awkward if you aren’t trans😭💔 so sorry if you aren’t and im just stupid💔
People say it's never too late to transition and they're right, but you also need to understand and prepare yourself for the different challenges you will face transitioning later in life. I'm going to be as gentle as I can, and I would always encourage you to transition because the positives of being fully and wholly yourself outweigh the negatives imo.
At the bottom, I've included pictures of trans men who transitioned from their mid twenties all the way through to mid sixties. I know of one who transitioned at 74. Enjoy.
1. Second puberty as an adult fuckin' sucks. You don't get the grace or the flexibility that a young person does. The acne, the hunger, the feral horniness and unwelcome erections with bottom growth. Be prepared. Don't go on any androgen blocking shit for the acne either, for obvious reasons.
2. Transitioning later means some things are permanent. Sorry. Your epiphyseal plates fuse between 14 and 20, sometimes as late as 25. That means your height is your height. Same with hand size, feet size, etc. But your muscles and skin thicken so it can give the impression of growth. Just remember that men come in all shapes and sizes even when they get the headstart of being born as one.
3. You have zero control over what does change. Receding hairline, general bodily hairiness including your beard, bottom growth, voice drop. You need to be prepared to embrace it all. Voice training can address the "froggy voice" effect and help you speak from your chest, not the back of your throat.
4. You will go through a period of being misgendered. Of being asked "what are you?" Of the general discomfort of being stared at and treated like shite until your puberty progresses. The world is hostile to transexuals right now. And you also, as a trans man, cannot expect the same safety nets as trans women in terms of community. Especially if you're not already "in" the queer community. Given your background, I can't say, but it's worth shoring up your mental health, resilience and working on building connections with other trans men who have pursued a medical transition so you have someone to discuss concerns and experiences with.
5. If you suffer from significant dysphoria around fat distribution, you need to be prepared to hit the gym. Testosterone will change some, but not all, without the assistance of dieting and exercise. It's not a quick fix and will take time.
6. You will lose people. People you believed were friends, family members, etc. You need to be ready to start again. This is particularly galling if you're in your thirties, forties, etc, because that's half a life time of networks that are under threat. But there is still time to rebuild these with the real you. (Edit: Even people who have professed to be "trans supportive"; a lot of people are performative and are fine with things as long as it's not affecting them directly. They are "trans supportive: abstract" not "trans supportive: actual".)
7. If you don't like needles, there's Testogel. Never take testosterone in pill form. Ever.

hey, I saw you're a librarian and I was wondering if u had any recs on authors who write about alienation from the self/depersonalisation like plath, lispector, dazai, etc?
Hi!! Sorry for the late reply!! This is such a good questions and those authors are all so excellent but I feel like i always blank when it comes to thinking of books that fit specific prompts. Which is part of why I try to tag quotes on here based on theme. But I just went through my goodreads and some books that I love that I think at least partially deal w that idea are:
MALINA BY INGEBORG BACHMANN song of the summer...
The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge by Rainer Maria Rilke
Ohh btw as far as Japanese lit I'm familiar with goes, dazai is def the goat of alienation and self isolation but shout-out to Akutagawa as well! I feel like he's a little under-read in the Anglosphere compared to his stature in Japan and the big followings some other 20th century Japanese writers have (the Akutagawa prize is one of the big Japanese literary honors.) Maybe because he was mostly a short story writer. But the Rashomon and Other Stories collection published by Penguin Classics is so good, he tackles a lot of different genres and styles but a couple of the stories deal w the alienated intellectual types that also populate Dazai's work
Maybe a bit of a left field recommendation because it directly confronts colonialism in a way that the authors you mentioned generally don't but any excuse to mention Tayeb Salih's Season of Migration to the North... Kendall roy voice "I'm the real you"
Dennis Cooper in some of his work esp. some of the stories in Closer and also I Wished as a whole. Content warning everything
Two Girls, Fat and Thin by Mary Gaitskill has more of the Season of Migration to the North "self recognition through the other" (horrifying) dynamic going on
The Rainbow and Women in Love by D.H. Lawrence for the heteropessimist version of alienation from the self
I know you mentioned Dazai but I do specifically want to recommend The Setting Sun because it's not as famous as No Longer Human but sooooooo good
Another book that is vaguely thematically similar to Season of Migration to the North in that it deals with questions of identity and authenticity in a postcolonial and political context is Enter, Ghost by Isabella Hammad. The most recent book on this list (just came out in 2023) and masterful imo
Also Thomas Mann is a master of this tbh. Death in Venice and Other Stories is the kind of book you feel ashamed to relate to. At least I do...

Let's Read Peanuts (Fat-shaming Charlie Brown since 2023) – June 1959
There are lots of great strips I just don't have room to comment on. I strongly encourage everybody to read along at the official GoComics page or by purchasing the Fantagraphics hardcover collections.

Sally finally gets a name!
It’s only just now occurring to me that her name is probably intended to (sort of) rhyme with “Charlie” and be equally generic.
June 3, 1959
Tumblr media
Now I’m incredibly curious if it ever used to be standard practice for hospitals to give you gifts when you gave birth. I’d say we should bring that back but I imagine that kind of thing might hit a bit differently these days.
“Hey, I know you just took out a ten year loan for this otherwise very expensive and demanding ball of screaming flesh but here’s a complimentary Blu-ray boxed set of Breaking Bad for your trouble.
Congratulations, now get out.”

It’s hilarious that people were having these discussions in 1959.
Like, I don’t know you guys. How would I justify having kids as a generic white girl during the most prosperous time of the most prosperous country in the history of planet earth.
I mean, I ~guess~ there was the ever so slight risk of global nuclear war with the U.S.S.R, but that’s such an adorably quaint concern in hindsight how that we still have that but also the planet's actively dying in front of us while everything falls apart.

Linus was then (correctly) punished for asking this question for the next 40 years.

Shut up Lucy, you have the objectively better sibling here. Not to mention the fact that having siblings becomes exponentially more annoying when they're the same gender as you and exponentially more annoying than that when you're both girls.
In fact, I’m pretty sure you having Sally as a little sister would result in UN peacekeepers being deployed at some point. Many would perish.

It’s played for laughs but God damn, look at that first panel. Being told that he should never have been born just destroyed him.

OK first off, shut the hell up Schroeder. Let the man be hyped to be a big brother in peace.
Second, where is he even getting this? At no point have we seen evidence that Charlie Brown is cynically using Sally to fill his insecurities. If anything he's been way too obnoxiously sincere and enthusiastic about it. In fact, now that I think about it I don’t think I’ve ever read a single Peanuts strip where Charlie Brown is anything but kind and supportive towards her. He’s like an anti-Lucy in this respect.
Let’s play a game. I’m going to randomly click around the archive to look for interactions between Charlie Brown and Sally. Let’s see what they say about who he is as a brother:
Tumblr media
Yup. Seems pretty supportive to me. Let’s try again…
Tumblr media
Not hiding the truth to spare her feelings but also not making fun of her for getting scammed. Pretty solid “good brother” response, imo.
OK, one more…
Tumblr media
Sally is leaning on Charlie Brown way too much to help out with her homework and he knows it, but Charlie Brown keeps helping her out anyway. Something, I should add, that he does a LOT over the years. Seems like a solid "W" to me.
Granted, it’s a 50 year strip and I haven’t read it all (yet!) so there may be some particularly unkind interactions I’m missing, but beyond some deadpan snark or some relatively mild admonishments for selfish or annoying behavior you never really see Charlie Brown be mean or unkind to Sally. It's low-key one of my favorite things about both Charlie Brown as a character and the strip at large. Which is impressive because Sally can be… well we'll get into that when the time comes.
Thoughts
Hey let's spin the wheel one more time and see how things are going over at the Van Pelt hou-

I don't know exactly how to word it but as a kinky mother fucker and as someone who is a concept artist/character designer... these polls seem to highlight fatphobia in an interesting way.. both in the way that the "undesirable" monsters (ie the ones that are made to be "gross" like decomposing or the like) often have fat/bellies on them. but the ones that are more classically "desirable" are depicted either skinny or muscular. And typically the votes reflect this. the even more interesting moments are when the votes don't reflect that and the fatter monsters are proven to be desirable despite the seeming intent to be undesirable or grotesque. much to think about...
With the way the decomposing ones are proportioned it's meant to evoke a bloating corpse, with those in particular (like the venom troll) I think it might be uncanny valley. Now it's definitely true that fatter creatures generally do worse, just look at ones like hill giant. But I'd argue the vast majority of the apparent fatphobia around here is on WotC. and the rest has been blocked from the blog.
Firstly because many people enjoy larger entries, just as many enjoy smaller ones. The ones that do poorly are typically also partnered with 1000 other traits people might find undesirable. I'd point the fatphobia at WotC constantly depicting it alongside cruelty, greed, stupidity, stench, etc. People's biases, at least from the notes, seem to be largely with the other traits WotC likes to pair with size more than the size itself. As for the rest, I'd still hesitate to point fatphobia at the general viewer. Maybe a bit of unconscious cultural bias, but we're dealing in private preferences here. A preference toward the large, tall, short, brunette, hair style, type of socks, personality, etc, that's not the issue imo. Fatphobia's in how you treat people, in your biases and assumptions, not your internal sexual preferences. I think the views actually reflect that nicely, as the NICE large monsters ones have still gotten into the 70's. Which is HUGE, that's where medusa, mindflayers, and lot of classic monsterfucking creatures have ended up. Once we passed like 1000 people, very few humanoids could breech 80's, so grading on a curve there are larger ones effectively getting a B or low A. At that point the rest is usually explained by "being too monstrous/the viewer prefers women and the example given is male." And I'm saying this as someone who is obese, I have been mistaken for being quite pregnant. Gained a lot after my accident reduced my mobility 2 years ago, and the binge eating from the following depression. working it down though, I've been hovering around 220 (100 kg) for a bit recently but I'm slowly dropping again. Which is still pretty heavy at my height, though my vitals are all very good so I don't really care much. Now there are some people who just are fatphobic, and I felt no remorse about blocking the few people who were being dicks about it. But it's usually just in the other horrible traits WotC gave them or just not being into that. I'm not getting onto people for not preferring my body shape, just for insulting it or mistreating others over it. I think monsterfuckers are better about this than the general populace.
...and yes I took 2 months to respond to this. but have finally decided to chuck it out but make it unrebloggable. because I don't want this to breech into tumblr at large and attract too much attention from the average tumblite.
