God, absolutely 100% yes to everything you've said here, Anon. There is so much I love about that picture and it merits further analysis, so what the heck, let's go for it:

First of all, I truly do not think I have ever seen anyone sit the way David is sitting--one foot up on the table? Half-slouching in the chair?--and the rainbow socks are just the cherry on top of the Scottish bisexual sundae.

One of the things I absolutely love about this picture is the energy radiating off both of them in it. David is giving bottom energy, and Michael is giving top energy, and that juxtaposition just makes it even more obvious how beautifully they complement each other. But it's the body language that also gets me--how completely comfortable and open Michael and David are with each other. They look so relaxed here, so at ease with one another, and with Michael in particular it's such a stark contrast to how stiff and closed off he tends to look with AL. Here, both his and David's guards are down--physically and emotionally--and it's truly lovely to see.

And yes, I would be remiss if I didn't echo your sentiments about Michael's figure here. What I said above about that juxtaposition (in my opinion) extends to David's long, graceful legs and Michael's strong thighs/lap. It's like you look back and forth between them and see two pieces that just fit--in every way two people can fit together. One goes with the other, and as gorgeous as Michael and David are separately (which they most definitely are), they both somehow become even more attractive when they are together. As if they bring out the best in each other on the inside, and it shows on the outside.

Delicious. I can only hope we might be in store for some more BTS pics of David and Michael from Georgia (additional configurations of that David/Michael pile up in the conference room, perhaps?). Fingers crossed...

Steve and Eddie realize they both also like men while in the Upside Down because Eddie started to panic about dying without having his first kiss. He was ranting about it to Steve, and it got to the point where it started to annoy Steve.

"Oh, Jesus Christ!" Steve exclaimed, grabbed Eddie's face, and planted one on Eddie.

Both of their eyes are wide open before they relax into the kiss. Eddie is pulling Steve closer, eagerly deepening the kiss. Oh, they both like it. They both like it so fucking much. It was at that moment that Robin had turned around only to find her best friend. . .making out with a dude?!

Just saw a post of someone saying that Daniel (from Interview with the Vampire) is so far into the closet that at the time of the Dubai interview he doesn't even realize he's queer.

And I really don't think that's true for his character.

He wrote articles about AIDS in the 1980s (later published in a book). He frequented gay bars in the 1970s (and possibly later). He's had sex with men. He's not repressed. (ETA: not repressed about the gender of people he's attracted to, anyway)

Now there's a lot we don't know about Daniel's life, so it is open to interpretation, I'll admit. But it really feels more to me that he's written to be someone who's, like, a 1 on the Kinsey scale. Like, his longest romantic relationships were with women. His primary motivation for being at gay bars in the 1970s really was to score drugs. (Tho that wasn't his only motivation). When he tells Armand "I can be on my knees in a minute" it really is just him "bargaining with desire" not expressing his own desire. He was definitely attracted to and intrigued by Louis (and flirting with Louis) in San Francisco, but the promise of sex alone probably wouldn't have convinced him to go to Louis' apartment. And for sure there is so much tension between Armand and Daniel in that Dubai apartment, you could cut it with a knife...it's just, y'know, both sexual and angry.

Daniel's a character with a lot of nuance in his sexuality. His sexuality is fluid. He's a character for whom his motivations for having sex are not always purely about desire (though desire is wrapped in it). And I love that! Finally a character whose sexuality is muddled...who doesn't fit into any boxes (not even those created by other queer people)...and yet who doesn't seem to be at all confused by himself. By the time we get to Dubai, he knows who he is, in terms of his sexuality.

And that doesn't make him less queer. His muddled queerness isn't a problem to be fixed. Hell, that's true even though Daniel might not even call himself queer or bisexual. This show has earned having a character do that. Like, the beauty of there being so many queer characters on this show is that no single character has to carry the weight of representation. So their sexual identities can be muddled and stay muddled.

the amount of bisexual representation we’ve gotten in mainstream media in the last year alone is insane. adding on the fact that there is all different age groups on their self discovery journey is just amazing

you have malakai and missy from heartbreak high and nick nelson from heartstopper figuring their bisexuality out during high school

and evan ‘buck’ buckley from 9-1-1 figuring it out in his 30s

and i just think it’s so amazing to see these beautiful stories of self discovery and subsequently wholesome queer love stories.
