The Basics of Kemetic Philosophy (without the appropriated shit from Judaism)

I'm starting a series on Kemetic philosophy because a lot of my readings on it have included things like Kabbalah (Kabala, Kabbala, Qabala, etc.) which is directly appropriated from Judaism, and definitely would not have been included in ancient Kemetic philosophy.

After seeing the movie “Avatar” did you suddenly view our Earth as ugly and/or boring? If you have not seen the movie, do you think it’s worth your time? No, that didn’t even cross my mind. I didn’t know that was a popular opinion.

Do you know how to properly use your knife and fork? Or does being proper not matter to you? >> I mean... yes, I know how to use a knife and fork... I don't know what you mean by "properly"... <<< Right? 

What's the earliest news event you can remember hearing about/seeing? What years was this, and how old were you at the time? 9/11 was the biggest for sure, but I was already 12 by then so I know that wasn’t the earliest or first I heard about or saw. I think cause I was older and it was so heavily talked about and shown for such a long time and the fact we have a day of remembrance for it, so it stands out.

Your favorite book is being made into a (good well thought out and produced) movie. You choose the cast. Which book, which actors? 
If your favorite book has already been made into a movie, how was the casting? Who would you have chosen? I don’t have the energy for this.

Would you care if your SO went to a strip club? I think I kind of would, but likely wouldn’t say anything.

Do you think someone could gather a good a idea about from that list ^ ? A tiny bit. I feel it’s mostly just pretty random and not about me specifically.

What are you fucking sick of hearing? Fireworks. People in my city start lighting them off randomly mid to end June up until the 4th and then even like a week after. Oh, and they like to do it in the middle of the night, too.

How are you when you get angry? Is it ever a physical sensation, or purely emotional? I end up breaking down and then I just shut down. There have been some instances where I literally was shaking from being so mad, which isn’t common at all so that says how angry I was at the time. It takes a lot to make me angry.

What word do you pronounce wrong every time, despite the fact that you know its wrong? I’m blanking at the moment.

How helpful are your parents to you? Would they help you to pay for your first apartment? College? Where does the line end? I’m very blessed to have the supportive and loving parents I have who would do anything for my siblings and I. They have always made sure we had everything we needed and plenty of things we wanted. They do whatever they can and I’m very grateful.

Happy Halloween, Ben!  I hope you are continuing to feel better!  Do you expect any trick-or-treaters tonight?  (Is that a thing in the Netherlands?)  I hope you find lots of good candy at the grocery store!  I myself have two bags of dark chocolate Kit Kats to hand out to all the kids I foresee coming by (*wink wink*)  Your pumpkin is adorable, by the way.  I wanted to do some cool faces with mine, but my friends that normally host a Halloween party decided to just hold their Costume and Pumpkin Decorating Contests online, and the theme was “2020”.  I thought “well, I’ll just get two pumpkins, and use one for the contest and one for whatever."  Then one of them started molding, which seemed very on brand for this year, so I just went with it, and ended up with meme pumpkins.  I included a color pic, so you can see just how gross the one got.  Fun fact: the top of it is held on by being skewered with a dowel rod and set in place along the rim.  In case you were curious (you probably weren’t, but oh well), trying to scoop out a moldy pumpkin is indeed deeply gross.  Imagine a physical manifestation of the sensation most people seem to feel when you say the word "moist”.  Just…so gross and squishy…  *shudders in remembrance*

My costume attempt turned out okay given that I managed to pull it together entirely out of things I already had.  In case you don’t recognize the symbol, I was one of the more recent comic versions of Black Canary (this one at least had proper shorts).  Let me tell you, trying to free hand draw that goddamn bird outline with no printer or projector was an adventure.  I had to do it backwards, essentially, too, because I realized that pencil marks are extremely difficult to erase off of craft foam.

And I just wanted to show off that I’m the kind of classy bitch who drinks wine out of a can (also, it’s an awesome can.)  To be fair, it was actually surprisingly decent (I say, as though I know shit about wine).  I sent a picture to a friend, and she started teasing me, and I said “it’s a rainbow can, how was I supposed to pass it up?”, and she was like “you know what, fair, I would have done the same thing."  I also got some kind of sparkling red wine to drink tonight for proper spooky effect.  The cashier commented on it being good as I was checking out, so here’s hoping.

I know what you mean about endless plot ideas, too.  I started a couple of smaller pieces to work on when my longer WIP gets overwhelming, got on a roll, and have almost finished one.  I got super excited when I finally got to a few of the lines that were among the first I thought of for it months ago, then realized "fuck, now I have to write the smut, don’t I?"  So, hopefully the wine will offer some inspiration there, too. XD

By the way, I totally wasn’t kidding about the Chris Evans/Henry Cavill rom com idea.  I totally went and found it in my FB messages and screen-shot it so that I can now inflict share it.  Buckle up, here we go:  So, Chris’s character’s great-aunt (played by Angela Landsbury) talks him into coming to stay with her along the English coast after his divorce, and help her run her mystery book shop.  Only, less than a week in, she runs off to go on vacation with her boy toy (Christopher Walken).  By this point, he’s already ended up in an unexpected rivalry with the co-owner of the comic shop next door (Henry), who’s been trying to get the great-aunt to sell him part of the bookstore’s storage space to build a table-top gaming area.  The woman (Natalie Dormer) who runs the little bakery/tea shop attached to the other side of the bookstore has a running bet with the other co-owner of the comic shop (John Boyega) on how long it will take for the two men to realize just what type of tension there actually is between them.  Chris could wear hipster glasses, and skinny jeans, and cozy sweaters/cardigans, that he could remove at strategic moments to reveal the ridiculousness that is his arms and chest.  Henry could wear tight jeans and fitted nerdy t-shirts and SET THE CURLS FREE GODDAMMIT.  And of course at least one encounter would have to happen at a dog park, because both their RL dogs are absolutely adorable and deserve a moment in the spotlight.  Please, Netflix, I’m begging you.  Make it happen.  (If you curious, this particular moment of inspiration struck during a discussion over "if Evans is America’s Ass, is Cavill Britain’s?"  My friends are also classy like me.  XD )

Okay 1: omg I need that gay wine. (Rainbow wine, whatever.) That is amazing, I love it. And I totally get why you needed that. I don’t have any wine for myself tonight. But I have some Budweiser (Or well “Bud” as it is called here), cans of coke and Jack Daniels, so I should be good.

Halloween isn’t much of a thing here I’m afraid, aside from some witches who celebrate samhain and the uprising of general pop culture there aren’t many people who really celebrate Halloween like in the US. So no, I don’t expect any trick or treaters tonight (also because COVID has us on a 8 pm curfew). 

I think the Netherlands celebrates Saint Martin far more which Wikipedia explains pretty well as: Saint Martin's day, also known as the Funeral of Saint Martin, Martinstag or Martinmas, as well as Old Halloween and Old Hallowmas Eve is the Funeral day of Saint Martin of Tours (else Martin le Miséricordieux) and is celebrated on 11 November each year.

The day is celebrated on the evening of 11 November (the day Saint Martin was buried) in the Netherlands, where he is known as Sint-Maarten. I blame @for-the-love-of-wolves​ for that one because I read their fic and now I’m like: that’s a good idea. I want to write that too. And now I can’t shake it.

I should really finish things but urgh... part of me just wants to write more teen wolf fanfic.

I’m really curious about your wip though, I hope that when you’re ready to share it, I get to read it too. ^^

Honestly, Netflix needs to make this idea happen. I insists. I wonder if my friend who works their customer service can pitch ideas but I don’t have much hope for that. Would be pretty awesome though to see this come alive because it’s GOOD! Holy moly I want that to happen now XD. Brittain’s ass is it, UK Vs US ass fight!

"Hi."

You awkwardly waved at the unfamiliar boys in front of you as you opened your door. They both stopped walking ahead as they looked at you as if you were a ghost or something.

"OH! You're awake already. I forgot to tell you about these two new tenants!" Your aunt suddenly appeared behind them with a huge grin. You eyed her suspiciously as you raised an eyebrow at her.

"Boys, please introduce yourselves to noona~" She sang as she winked at you.

"Annyeonghasseyo, noona. I'm Yoon Sanha, 17 years old. I hope we can get closer~" A very tall but cute-faced boy said as he smiled down at you.

Wow. I feel like an ant right now. He's 17 and this tall, while I'm 22 and still... this small.

"I'm Cha Eunwoo, 20 years old. It's nice meeting you, noona." A bright-looking (literally) pretty boy said and bowed slightly.

This guy is prettier than me. His looks is making my self-esteem drop drastically.

You were just staring at them like you've seen stars when your aunt snapped her fingers in front of you.

"Oh. S-Sorry. I'm Lin, you can just call me noona since you call her ahjumma." You pointed at your aunt and smiled. "Nice meeting you both."

"There we go! They'll be taking the room 2 doors after Kai's." Your aunt told you before looking back at the two boys. "You can go to noona's room if you need any help or go downstairs and knock on my door near the kitchen, alright?"

You walked around the living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room and even the restroom but the white fluffy ball is nowhere to be found. You scratched the nape of your neck frustratedly.

"Aish. Don't tell me he took a walk by himself again? That's why I don't see that dog often. He's such an emo." You mumbled, wearing your sneakers and decided to take a walk.

It's a Saturday and you don't have additional shifts for the day, so you have a lot of free time. Kai is not around since he has practice in DanWiMu, same with Sehun, and probably won't be back until 6. Joohyuk is busy taking care of his mother that was admitted in the hospital 3 days ago. While Tiffany is on house-duty today since her father went overseas for a meeting. And if you're thinking about your aunt at home, she'll want to spend her whole day talking to the two new babies of her dorm.

That leaves you with no one today. What a sad life.

That's why, Hunnie is the only person-- animal you can spend the day with.

You started to jog towards the playground you always walk Hunnie to, looking around the area and hopefully find your dog.

"Where would that big boy go?" You muttered as you continued to jog around the playground, seeing kids run and play.

"MOCHI! COME BACK HERE! YAH!"

You almost laughed as you saw a two familiar girls chasing two small cute Yorkshire Terriers.

"Aren't they the ones who I saw the last time I came here to walk Hunnie?" You thought loudly, chuckling.

You sighed in defeat as you stopped jogging after almost an hour.

"Argh. I feel so wasted. I think I've got flabbies already, making it harder for me to jog." You mumbled to yourself while poking your tummy.

You closed your eyes for a moment before squatting down in exhaustion.

Did he finally leave me? I guess I'm not really a good owner that deserves him.

You've got a lot of doubts with yourself, may it be physically, mentally, spiritually or socially but you always knew what's the real problem with you.

How you can't admit your faults.

"It wasn't my fault I failed that exam!"

"It wasn't my fault I broke that window!"

"It wasn't my fault I kicked that boy's butt!"

"It wasn't my fault...mom died."

You shook your head, trying to throw away your thoughts.

It was my fault.

You suddenly felt the familiar sound a sniffing dog. You quickly opened your eyes and saw it looking up at you as it sat down in front of you.

You must look like an idiot, tearing up in front of a dog.

You knelt down, not breaking the longest eye contact you're having with your dog.

"Yah..." You softly said, Hunnie blinked as he watched you kneel.

"D-Don't walk around without me again, okay? I-I promise I will walk you every weekend. Just don't scare me like this again, please." You talked to it as if it can understand what you are saying.

He's just staring at me. Does that mean something or what?

Your dog just turned its back on you, showing you its adorable butt. Your eyes dimmed as you sighed, looking down as if you lost a battle.

Maybe he's still mad at me.

"Arf!"

Your head shot up as you heard the familiar bark of your dog.

There he was.

Looking back at you, his head turned on the side as if waiting for you.

You laughed like a mad person, making other people's heads turn towards you. As if knowing how to be embarrassed, Hunnie walked ahead, leaving you alone. You stood up in a rush, following your dog with a smile.

You caught up to Hunnie and looked down at him, the same time he looked up at you.

"Let's go home, ne?"

Hunnie wasn't really yours.

This dog is the only remembrance left from your mom.

That's why you cherish him so much as if he's human.

Kai stopped browsing channels and looked at you, who's currently eating popcorn beside him.

You stopped talking as you find Kai glaring at you.

"What?" You innocently asked and continued eating your beloved popcorn.

When Kai didn't move, you huffed and grabbed the remote control from his grasp.

"That was rude." He muttered, leaning back on the couch.

"You were rude, glaring at me when I'm just enjoying eating my food." You snapped back, changing the channel to Animax and squealing when your favourite anime is on.

"Seriously?" Kai mumbled, stealing popcorn from your bowl. You slapped his hand away but was too late when he popped everything into his mouth with a smirk.

"There's nothing wrong with anime. How dare you question—"

"Then there's something wrong with you."

You growled like an angry dog but ignored him after when Sanha, the younger boy from the new tenants, came in. He looked surprised seeing you and Kai but grinned.

Your mood was suddenly lifted.

"Hey there, pup. How's your stay here?" You happily asked. The young boy was flustered with the nickname you gave but shyly smiled.

"I-It's better than I thought, noona. Aunt Sunny is really friendly and hospitable. The room is wonderful and bigger than our room in our last dorm. T-Thank you for being approachable as well." Sanha said with a soft voice. You giggled like a high school girl but was nudged by the person beside you.

"That's good then. Enjoy your stay here. We'll be good dorm-mates. Right, Kai?" You turned to Kai and he was just staring at you. You shrugged and looked back at the young boy with a smile. "Where are you going anyway?"

"I'll be hanging out with some friends, noona. Eunwoo hyung will probably come later since he's still studying for his exam tomorrow." Santa said as he combed his hair with his fingers.

"Oh, have fun then. Be back before 9 though or else you'll have to climb up the gates like what I almost do everyday." You said, chuckling at his expression. Santa nodded.

"Aunt Sunny told us about it but I wasn't informed about you climbing up the gates, noona."

You laughed, waving him off.

"I'll tell you more next time. Be safe~"

When Sanha went out, you became silent again.

"Pup, huh?"

Kai stood up with a poker face, probably getting it from his best friend, and went upstairs, not even looking back at you.

"What's wrong with that guy?" You mumbled while chewing popcorn and watching TV.

After an hour, Kai went down the stairs.

He just walked passed by the living room without even looking at you. You turned off the television and followed him outside. You saw him opening the gate but before he can get out, you stopped him.

"Yah. Where are you going?" You interrogated him with eyes checking his clothes.

Kai was wearing a maroon sweater that looks so cute on him, black jeans, sneakers and a black cap resting on his soft-looking dark hair.

I wonder if his hair is as soft as it looks like.

Kai looked back at you, his poker face still on.

"Meeting a friend."

"A friend? Who? Sehun?"

"No."

"Then who?"

"You don't know her, so it will be useless to know her name—"

"Her?!"

You put your hand on your mouth, mentally scolding it for being careless.

Did I just shout at him, sounding like a jealous girlfriend? Earth, please swallow me now.

A smirk slowly formed on Kai's lips as you looked around for anything that can possibly help you escape this scary scene.

"Why? Is something wrong having a girl friend?"

You shook your head before looking at him, pulling off your own poker face.

"No. I was just curious since you're all dressed up. I think it's totally normal to dress up gorgeously for your girlfriend."

And then you made your exit.

Or entrance in the dorm.

Kai just stared at the closed door for a while before sighing, getting out of the gate.

"So much for making her jealous."

Obviously, you both were thinking about each other.

It's just that, you're not his and he's not yours.

Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

This Book is called Ecclesiastes, or the preacher, (in Hebrew, Coheleth) because in it Solomon, as an excellent preacher, setteth forth the vanity of the things of this world, to withdraw the hearts and affections of men from such empty toys. Ch. --- Coheleth is a feminine noun, to indicate the elegance of the discourse. It is very difficult to discriminate the objections of free-thinkers from the real sentiments of the author. It is most generally supposed that Solomon wrote this after his repentance; but this is very uncertain. S. Jerom (in C. xii. 12.) informs us that the collectors of the sacred books had some scruple about admitting this; and Luther speaks of it with great disrespect: (Coll. conviv.) but the Church has always maintained its authority. See Conc. v. Act. 4. Philast. 132. C. --- It refutes the false notions of worldlings, concerning felicity; and shews that it consists in the service of God and fruition. W.

The vanity of all temporal things.

[2] Vanity of vanities, said Ecclesiastes vanity of vanities, and all is vanity.

Vanitas vanitatum, dixit Ecclesiastes; vanitas vanitatum, et omnia vanitas.

[3] What hath a man more of all his labour, that he taketh under the sun?

Quid habet amplius homo de universo labore suo quo laborat sub sole?

[4] One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth standeth for ever.

Generatio praeterit, et generatio advenit; terra autem in aeternum stat.

[5] The sun riseth, and goeth down, and returneth to his place: and there rising again,

Oritur sol et occidit, et ad locum suum revertitur; ibique renascens,

[6] Maketh his round by the south, and turneth again to the north: the spirit goeth forward surveying all places round about, and returneth to his circuits.

[7] All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea doth not overflow: unto the place from whence the rivers come, they return, to flow again.

Omnia flumina intrant in mare, et mare non redundat; ad locum unde exeunt flumina revertuntur ut iterum fluant.

[8] All things are hard: man cannot explain them by word. The eye is not filled with seeing, neither is the ear filled with hearing.

Cunctae res difficiles; non potest eas homo explicare sermone. Non saturatur oculus visu, nec auris auditu impletur.

[9] What is it that hath been? the same thing that shall be. What is it that hath been done? the same that shall be done.

Quid est quod fuit? Ipsum quod futurum est. Quid est quod factum est? Ipsum quod faciendum est.

[10] Nothing under the sun is new, neither is any man able to say: Behold this is new: for it hath already gone before in the ages that were before us.

Nihil sub sole novum, nec valet quisquam dicere : Ecce hoc recens est : jam enim praecessit in saeculis quae fuerunt ante nos.

[11] There is no remembrance of former things: nor indeed of those things which hereafter are to come, shall there be any remembrance with them that shall be in the latter end.

Non est priorum memoria; sed nec eorum quidem quae postea futura sunt erit recordatio apud eos qui futuri sunt in novissimo.

[12] I Ecclesiastes was king over Israel in Jerusalem,

Ego Ecclesiastes fui rex Israel in Jerusalem;

[13] And I proposed in my mind to seek and search out wisely concerning all things that are done under the sun. This painful occupation hath God given to the children of men, to be exercised therein.

[14] I have seen all things that are done under the sun, and behold all is vanity, and vexation of spirit.

Vidi cuncta quae fiunt sub sole, et ecce universa vanitas et afflictio spiritus.

[15] The perverse are hard to be corrected, and the number of fools is infinite.

Perversi difficile corriguntur, et stultorum infinitus est numerus.

[16] I have spoken in my heart, saying: Behold I am become great, and have gone beyond all in wisdom, that were before me in Jerusalem: and my mind hath contemplated many things wisely, and I have learned.

Locutus sum in corde meo, dicens : Ecce magnus effectus sum, et praecessi omnes sapientia qui fuerunt ante me in Jerusalem; et mens mea contemplata est multa sapienter, et didici.

[17] And I have given my heart to know prudence, and learning, and errors, and folly: and I have perceived that in these also there was labour, and vexation of spirit,

Dedique cor meum ut scirem prudentiam atque doctrinam, erroresque et stultitiam; et agnovi quod in his quoque esset labor et afflictio spiritus :

[18] Because In much wisdom there is much indignation: and he that addeth knowledge, addeth also labour.

eo quod in multa sapientia multa sit indignatio; et qui addit scientiam, addit et laborem.

Commentary:

Ver. 1. Jerusalem. This clearly designates Solomon. See v. 12. C. xii. 8.

Ver. 2. Vanities. Most vain and despicable, (C.) and frustrating the expectations of men. M. --- S. Aug. reads vanitantium, and infers that this vanity of sublunary things is an effect of man's sin. Yet he afterwards discovered that he had read incorrectly. Ret. i. 7.

Ver. 3. Labour. People fight for a mere point; for such is the earth compared with the universe. Sen. q. Nat. Hoc est punctum, &c. Matt. xvi. 26.

Ver. 4. Ever. Its substance remains, though the form be changed. C. --- At the end of time, it will be purified to continue for ever. W.

Ver. 5. Place daily. Its annual motion is then mentioned. C.

Ver. 6. Spirit. The sun, (S. Jer.) which is like the soul of the world, and which some have falsely asserted to be animated; or rather (C.) the wind is meant, as one rises in different parts of the world when another falls. Pliny ii. 27. M.

Ver. 7. Again. The sea furnishes vapours, &c. Homer (Il. f.) expresses himself in the same manner.

Ver. 8. Hearing. In all sciences there are many difficulties. If a man had arrived at perfect knowledge, his researches would cease.

Ver. 10. New. Such vicissitudes have occurred before, though we must not infer that the world is eternal; or that there have been many others before this, as Origen would suppose. Prin. iii. 5. &c. C. --- Men's souls, which are created daily, are nevertheless of the same sort as Adam's was; and creatures proceed from others of the same species, which have been from the beginning. S. Tho. p. 1. q. 73. W. --- Natural and moral things continue much the same. M.

Ver. 11. Things. Otherwise we should read of similar events to those which we behold. The same cause naturally produces the same effect.

Ver. 12. Israel. This was the case with none of Solomon's descendants. C.

Ver. 14. Vexation. Heb. also, "food of wind;" (Sym.) or "choice of the spirit." Sept. People are eager to become learned, and yet find no satisfaction. H. --- All natural things are insufficient to procure felicity. W.

             O Curas hominum! O quantum est in rebus inane! Persius.

Ver. 15. Perverse. Habitual and obstinate sinners. C. --- Fools, who follow the broad road. H. --- Heb. and Sept. "the defect cannot be numbered." We know not to what a height the soul of man might have risen, if he had continued faithful.

Ver. 16. Learned. Solomon was blessed both with a natural genius, which he improved by study, and also he had the gift of supernatural wisdom. Yet he declares that all is vanity and pain.

Ver. 17. Errors. Sept. "parables and science." But to discern the mistakes of men is a part of wisdom, (C.) and Grabe substitutes "wanderings," instead of "parables," after Theodot. as Heb. ealluth (H.) means "errors," (C.) or "follies." Mont.

Ver. 18. Labour. He is bound to do more for heaven, as he is convinced of his own defects, and of the strict judgments of God. Wisdom is not true happiness, but the means to obtain it. W. --- The more a person knows, the more he is convinced of his own ignorance, (C.) and filled with grief, that wisdom should be so much concealed. S. Jer. - Those who are learned, feel indignant that their disciples should be so dull. M.

down stairs at 7 3/4 - beautiful sunny morning - breakfast - off from Bernay (where we have really been very comfortable) at 8 1/2 - at Nouvion at 9 1/4 - here they gave us 3 horses that had apparently never been posters before, and the postboy was thrown - he then made his horse wheeler, and mounted one of the others he could hardly sit this, and could not manage the horses at all - all this not very agreeable - however an old stager was there brought for the man to ride, and we then got on well to Abbeville at 10 3/4 - should have gone into the cathedral but found the posthorse quite at the other end of the town, and turning back would have detained us too long - here a woman was crying some largeish, round rich looking cakes said to be pecular to Abbeville - b[ou]ght one (10 sols each) - a taste of aniseed - could not eat it -

off again at 10 50/60 and alighted at the little town of Airaines at 1 10/60 - here we ordered (the poste a nice Inn) a soufflée, epinardy au jus, and potatoes à la maitre d’hotel, and walKed about the village-town about 1/2 hour - then enjoyed our dinner, and off again at 2 40/60 - at Camps at 3 3/4 - at Poix at 5 - at Grandvilliers (largeish, goodish looking Inn here) 6 3/4 - walked forwards 1/4 hour while they were changing the horses, and in the carriage and off again at 7 - at Marseille at 8 - 1/4 hour changing horses, and off again at 8 1/4 - at Beauvais (l’ecu de France) at 10 20/60 - there being no salon for us but one down stairs got 2 good bed rooms opening into each other, and had coffee in my room and a fire, and sat talking very comfortably till Miss H-[Hobart] left me at 12 1/4 -

much confidential conversation this afternoon after leaving Airaines  and she very nervous  we had finished reading her journal this morning all but a page or two and from spelling and putting together and catechizing I got out of her  without names she saying it was very wrong of her to say so much  the main circumstances  tis evident she liked Bouverie she cried a good deal saying she was very sorry for it would make me think she cared much more about it than she really  she only cried at remembrance of the past  it was over now  she did not care about it now said I really doubted that  perhaps she herself was not really aware how much or little she cared could I by any possibility do her any good  oh no it was too late now it was two years ago she seemed to think I knew all about it and that Miss MacL[ean] had told me  of course I denied this as well as I could said I had really so questioned from observing what she herself had said  she seemed satis fied that she had not told me names ssaid she had said too much it was very wrong she had no right to tell the concerns of others  ssaid she might never marry at all  that said is not likely and would not do and said I was a great advocate for matrimony  but it was a serious business  and as it seemed so easy to talk her out of things only hoped it was not so to talk her into them  should always be interested about her  apologized for my impertinence in having so questi oned and cross exami[n]ed but all I had seen and heard had only strengthened my interest and regard of this she expressed herself glad  said if she married I should like to know of her marriage before it took place she promised to write and tell me herself    speaking of Lady Stuart de Rothesay said I d[o] not know what sort of person she was  worldly and clever and so argumentative and would have her own she would not take her into expenses etc. etc.    bade her take all quietly then come in with strong arguments that not even Lady S[tuart] could deny or set aside  had best say how she was disappointed about her money matters for she had this afternoon told me she had twenty thousand pounds sstock and it yielded only five hundred and fifty a year  but some money was to be done some thing with that would make her income six hundred  said I had under stood from Miss MacL[ean] that her mothers fortune was five thousands  no no such thing but with interest on ditto five and twenty years it amounted to that    I had not failed to obs[erve] that when she told me her fortune and income  she ended by 'there now you have it'  thought I is she always quite good tempered is she flippant would not suit me she could not push me in society and has not enough in her or fortune sufficient fo[r] me  butt much admired the natural manner in which her journal was written  said how much it had interested me etc. etc.  and that she had no want of natural talent  poor girl this sseemed true but old Lady S[tuart] is no reader but of novels and would never let her read anything else  always keeps her up late will never let her leave and in fact the poor girl knows not what it is to have liberty and her own way she spoke of Lord S[tuart] de Rs[Rothesay’s] bruskerie[brusquerie] she has nothing in common with him often forgets what is due to English ladies but Lady S[tuart] takes no notice  takes not much notice of his two girls    (about twelve and fourteen?)  save as to their appearance  he seems rather tyrannical in his family but Lady S[tuart] ge[t]s her own way (sso argumentative?) for he says 'anything for a quiet life' - we got on moralizing  I apologized for so doing  'oh no said she I like it I so seldom hear anything of that kind it does me good'   poor girl  her society and her own manners are first rate not so her happiness   she was twenty six her last birthaday  24 Jan[uar]y  just before she left me tonight talking of a competency  I said not less than a thousand a year she ought not to marry to have less  she wondered I said so little I said if people were attached they might do with this and good connections    we are very good friends   she hates the thought of arriving

Up until he’d found people… Imagine his surprised to see familiar shocking red hair. Flashes of a friend within his mind.

                                                      ‘Lea!’ Oh, how happy Ventus had been…

                    …….only to have his happiness utterly crushed, Lea… wasn’t Lea… he was, Axel. A… N o b o d y  . What exactly was a ‘Nobody’ there’s no chance to question. Ventus had to take a step back, fiery weapon drawn at him. Burning anger in acid green eyes. Accusation. Bitterness. ‘You’re not Roxas.’ Who was Roxas, was he supposed to be Roxas? No, he is Ventus…or the fact; This wasn’t an Unversed. This individual wasn’t a Heartless… Ven couldn’t possible draw his Keyblade, and thankfully he was saved by a guy named Demyx. Confusion. Disoriented painted his complexion… and at this point, Ventus was willingly to follow them back to meet their leader… the dark Corridor had been one of his worst experienced.

                              D a r k n e s s   attacked him.                     B u r n i n g  his Light….

             Realizing it was just like the Lanes in between. Without his armor’s protection, he was being consumed. And giving thanks to ‘Axel’ being his saving grace, to drag his sorry ass out of there fast. Ventus was once more surprised to see another familiar face, ‘Isa,’ only to be proven… he was not… his name as Saix…. ‘What happened to the world, while I was asleep?’ It changed and rearranged without him, it seemed. ‘Xemnas’ wasn’t exactly what he’d expected to see. Something about him that causes his Heart to stir. The Organization was… something Ventus had never expected. When they weren’t doing missions, issued by Saix, they were like a dysfunctional family. Ventus felt envious. Wishing nothing more than to be apart of that.  F A M I L Y . Willingly to join them, hearing their cause in releasing Hearts from Darkness. Slaying Heartless. Ven can do that.

                                  Regardless if he felt they were hiding something from him.

                It was okay. He’ll find out  soon enough. Especially why Xemnas seemed to observe him much too closely. Even if he is technically a replacement for the lost member of their ranks, surprisingly enough who resembled him greatly; and wield a Keyblade too. There were times when Ventus had questions out of curiosity... none of them really wanted to answer ( Must be Xemnas’ doing. ) The only one who seemed at odd within his presence, was the only one whom Ventus wanted to stick around with the most; Axel. His heart seemed to cry out at truly believing this redhead was Lea, was he wrong?

             Days spend doing missions... it was a nice exercise for his stiff form, rusty composition. And often he needed guide, without any sense of direction or familiar with the Worlds, new ones he’d never seen before... partnering him up was a wise choice. Ventus made his voice known, ‘I go with Axel. Or I won’t join.’ Lea... this must be you. And the blond vowed to get to the bottom of this entire confusion. Of lost Hearts, gaining Hearts business. Kingdom Hearts once more came up... a bitterness of remembrance of Xehanort and his ambition.

              “Yo, Venny-boy, don’t forget your end of the bargain!” Demyx’s voice snapped him out of his memory monologue, and sighed.. and blushing furiously at his losing task at hand. People should really stop giving him ridiculous nicknames. Regardless that bargain was the reason why he’s sneaking around Axel’s room in the middle of night. When he was sure the redhead was in and not on mission. Next time... he ought to keep his mouth shut. Otherwise he wouldn’t B E in a losing bet, and now he’s paying for it. Heat rose onto his cheeks at what he was about to do to the sleeping redhead. Pulling down the zipper of his cloak... very, very silently. Froze when there’s little stirring. But he was safe! MM ANON, I’m watching series 1 of the crown, BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN AND EDITED. The filming is so accurate and attention to detail. I remember Norman Hartnell designing the Queens wardrobe for the commonwealth tour. My mother was a dress-maker so I watched everything she watched. Methinks the Queen had something to do with this because it’s so accurate. Reason, she’s 92 ‘ what a visual legacy. I can imagine her throwing a ashtray at Philip, and HIS secret dalliances. EPIC!!
