They got time to adapt to their positions but I like to think that even though time has passed they aren't burdened by all the things that come with being suddenly thrust into a cultivation setting, I think be more carefree with their behavior since they never grew up with these old fashioned social norms ingrained in them so them engaging in tomfoolery isn't as out of the question as it seems

watched last week's episode again and the Monoma & Aizawa dynamic has got me in a chokehold, so have some headcanons

Eraserhead used to be one of Monoma's favorite heroes, but some of the hero worship wore off when he saw how Aizawa approached teaching for the first time. part of it was petulant dismay over Aizawa teaching Class A, but some of it was also legitimate criticism of Aizawa's methods.

regardless, a lot of that admiration comes rushing back after the war when Monoma realizes how hard Aizawa's role has been, both physically and emotionally. (watching Bakugo die haunts them both, but it was particularly humbling to realize that Aizawa had to have seen similar things happen in the past).

Aizawa's perception of Monoma underwent it's own evolution as well. at first, he saw Monoma as clever and talented, but overall aggravating and unreliable. then, when Aizawa saw Monoma interact with Eri for the first time, he moved him into the "dependable but annoying" category. it wasn't until after the war that his perception of Monoma became predominantly positive.

Aizawa was one of the first people to check on Monoma in the hospital after the war. Monoma was so out of it that he can't even remember the visit, but Vlad King made sure to let him know that Aizawa had swung by when he was finally cognizant enough to hold a coherent conversation.

both Aizawa and Monoma carry unspoken guilt. Monoma feels guilty that he got taken out of commission and potentially left millions to die, and Aizawa feels guilty that he dragged a child into the conflict to take on his role in the first place. neither of them have properly spoken about it, but it's only a matter of time.

when school starts back up, Monoma begins making a multitude of guest appearances at the Class A lecture room. he spends a lot of his time subtly checking on Bakugo and flirting chatting with Shinsou, but he usually ends up bothering Aizawa for a while as well.

Aizawa bears it with a patience that most students do not expect of him, but it really isn't all that surprising. (Aizawa realized that he had effectively fed a stray the minute that he and Monoma witnessed The Horrors together. it's only natural that Monoma would seek him out.)

even after the final battle, Aizawa occasionally enlists Monoma's help using Erasure. he's able to handle most smaller situations by himself, but there are a number of (typically PTSD-driven) moments where a student's quirk gets out of hand and he needs reinforcement.

Don't worry I'm working on developing that technology right neow as my capstone project in collaboration with other students in various fields involved. At the moment we are working on developing a secure way to conserve the full authentic artstyle during the injection process with minimum noise interfering with it. No promises but expect to see results in the near future <3

I am re-reading my now former favourite PJO reading the books fic and I realized something.

It's so amusing when the authors in the fics have the gods acting holier than thou. Saying Luke is not innocent or he's evil. The gods acting horrified when their actions are compared to Luke's.

Just looking at the PJO version of the gods so far:

Hades tried to murder Thalia, didn't he literally murder her?

Zeus has tried to murder Percy on several occasions. PJO Zeus is such a major idiot, I don't know how this asshole is still king of the gods.

Zeus murdered Maria, an innocent woman, and tried to kill Hades' young children.

The gods have literally voted on whether to kill literal children who acted in their service

The state of the Hermes' cabin is a clear sign of child abuse.

Apollo literally sees Percy as his errand boy in Singer of Apollo

So many kids died because the gods, Zeus really, were incompetent idiots and had to rely on babies to fight their war for them.

Hades imprisoned Percy in TLO so he could foolishly wait for Nico to take on the prophecy.

Ares cursed Percy because he was a sore loser.

I love fics where the gods are good parents or become better parents. But I notice that authors use Luke as the scapegoat in a sense. Because if the gods were good all along, then Luke is just an angry kid who becomes a terrorist for no reason. He didn't know how good he had it, he should be grateful!

I don't understand why Rick is willing to paint Apollo, a literal GOD (I swear the PJO gods are pathetic, no wonder these losers don't have many worshippers) as a poor abuse victim over Luke who was a mortal child let down by all the adults around him. I guess Hal wasn't a thing anymore? That's being swept under the rug I guess so we can better cry over poor Apollo.

Sometimes I wonder why, exactly, did natori return to urihime, even though (1) she's a youkai, (2) it's confirmed early on during his first meetings with natsume (supposedly ~5 years after "a hand extended" took place in canon) that he still hated youkai at that point, and (3) he has no obligation to, especially after his arm was no longer cursed. Like, was there another factor contributing to it, aside from the kindness that natori actually inherently have (but had sadly not realized yet in his teenage years), and also him weighing on getting his own shiki?

These 4 panels might be the answer to that. Yes, urihime is born as the very same being that ruined natori's life, but she is also possibly the only one in his life back then who fully understood the weight of being hated so much for their presence and forsaken by everyone else because of it, to the point that one began to question why they were still alive after all that.

We also know that hiiragi was found in a similar situation (also a youkai who was forced to endure a life isolated in her own suffering, ready to let death take her when the chance was so near) until natori "saved" her again years later, even though natsume was the one who did the literal rescuing this time around. With this recurring theme, I wonder if natori had "saved" sasago too the same way, which would explain why his three shiki are so protective of him, even giving their all in doing so seemingly more out of love (judging from how they never want to leave him alone without at least one of them standing guard, or how they would jump to reassure him any chance they got), than because it was just their "duty" towards their master?
