âHigh ceilings...big windows...stainless steel appliances...â A lease Sawyer had already signed...a convenient detail that she left out right then, at least until she received Sonnyâs honest opinion about the place. She hadnât been planning on clueing in any of the Harrises about her decision to return back to Vancouver just yet, at least until the holidays were over, but Sonny always had been and always would be the exception. They shared a womb. Sometimes, Sawyer was convinced he could actually read her mind, and when she tried to keep secrets from him, it felt like sheâd break out into hives or burst into flames--a connection that not even 3,000 miles apart could sever (and minus the hives and fear of spontaneous combustion, she was secretly glad to know it). âSo, what do you think? Itâs nice, right?â

the aviator [pilot!harry x teacher!yn]
synopsis: Itâs the 1950s. Harry is the best pilot on the Air Force base and y/n is a teacher at a nursery.
word count: 8.5k
contains: fluff, flirting, opposites attract, bad boy/good girl dynamic, Harry has a southern accent, alcohol, smoking, allusions to childhood trauma
This is part 1 of a new series that will probably have 3-ish parts !!
. . .
Offutt Air Force Base, situated in Omaha, Nebraska, housed thousands of civilians working in or connected to the military. People living in the nearby town would often hear the loud plane engines as they take off and land on the runway. Theyâd look out the windows of their home and see spitfires piloted by men undergoing training, executing missions, or just having a good time, even when they technically werenât given permission.Â
âWah Hooo!â The spitfire trembled as it finally landed on solid ground. Harry braced himself for the landing, pushing himself back against his seat to stop himself from jolting around. He did his best to hide his smile and remain nonchalant as he heard the familiar voices yelp in excitement as he landed the aircraft.Â
He removed his helmet and pushed the canopy of the cockpit open, leaping down and getting familiar with feeling the solid ground beneath his feet after being in the air. Two figures ran up to him, flailing their arms and screeching in excitement, âThaâs what Iâm talking about!â Harry opened his arms, unable to stop himself from laughing the two men almost knocked him over as they joined in a group hug.Â
âYou flew her like a champ, H. Never seen anything like that in my life.â Harry looked into two sets of eyes an identical colour to his own.Â
Standing in front of him were his two brothers, Sonny and George. All three of them were pilots in the military and had been since they left school to sign up after the War. There wasnât too much age difference between them which was probably one of the reasons the brothers were so close. Harry was the oldest, just over a year senior to George, who happened to be taller despite being the middle child, and Sonny was the youngest.
âYeah well, she still needs some work. One of her engine cylinders is faulty.â The three of them walked side by side towards the maintenance shed. Despite their differences in height, anyone would assume the three brothers were triplets from how similar they looked. Most people on base knew them for their signature sea-glass green eyes and their brown hair.Â
âOh Iâll go and tell Ruddy, he might still be here.â Sonny ran aheadÂ
âOh and Sonny,â Harry called for his younger brother, âGood job.â Harry winked at his younger brother, referring to his work on the plane he had just flown. In response, Sonny straightened his shoulders and smiled feeling proud after receiving a compliment from his older brother.Â
Harry and George both lit a cigarette each, pausing outside the door to the warehouse to smoke together. âI opened up a letter this morning from Ma.â George exhaled, smoke escaping past his lips.Â
Harry tried not to show his annoyance, âWhaâd she say?â He grumbled.
âShe misses us⊠All of us and she wants us to stop by, come visit for dinner one day maybe.â George explained.
âIs she still with that old bastard?â Harry looked up at his younger brother.
George nodded, âLast time I heard.â
âThen weâre not going, none of us are.â Harry thought back to the last time he had allowed himself and his siblings to visit his mother. It was going well in the beginning, sheâd cooked them up a roast pork and engaged in conversation, until their Father came home. It wasnât long into their visit before they left the house and Sonny had gone home with a black eye whilst Harry had to get his hand stitched up at a hospital on the journey back.
Harry had grown up in Dallas, Texas, in a tacky old house that barely stood upright just on the outside of town. Whilst his Father was out working on a ranch somewhere and getting pissed up every night, Harry would spend most of his days keeping the house together whilst tending to his younger siblings. His mother was often somewhere in the house - nobody knew exactly what she was doing, since she wasnât exactly all there half the time - but she was there.
Every visit they made back home was a reminder as to why they had entered the military in the first place. Whenever their mother would send them a letter, it was either because she wanted something or wanted them to come home so she could ask for that same something in person. The last time Harry had bought his siblings home was the first time in years. He thought his mother would be different yet he had no idea why - she was still letting that old man walk around as if he was the one who kept the house from falling.Â
âSonny and I agreed youâre picking up Elise from nursery by the way,â George smirked, chucking his cigarette on the ground and putting it out with his foot.Â
âYou and Sonny agreed that?â Harry frowned, receiving a nod from his brother, âIâve been flying all day and yâ still want me to go pick up the baby?â
George clapped his older brother on the shoulder, âWeâve both got to help out in the warehouse this evening and besides, youâre Offutt's best pilot, I think you can handle picking up a two-year-old on the way home.âÂ
Harry didnât have time to argue with his brother as he stepped into the warehouse. He let out a deep sigh and took one puff of his cigarette before throwing it to the ground. He put his flight cap on his head to cover his messy hair and straightened his aviator jacket, walking towards the nursery.Â
. . .
âHow have you found your first day Y/N?â Midge, one of the other nursery workers asked as they stood at the sink together to wash up some of the paint pots a few of the kids had been playing with in the afternoon.Â
âItâs been wonderful, Midge.â Y/N grinned. Although she was tired, she also felt ecstatic to finally be working again after months of searching for a new job. She had always been good with children thanks to her older sister having a kid of her own for her to babysit now and then. So when the opportunity arose to work a well-paying job at a nursery on the military base, she couldnât pass it up. Theyâd even offer her free accommodation and discounted food for groceries which was perfect considering she didnât have much of any of those things when she was living alone.
âI expect most of the kids will be getting picked up soon,â Midge glanced at the clock, âEveryone will be returning from work.â
Y/N hadnât expected pick up time at the nursery to be so busy but fathers and mothers bustled in to pick up their children to take them home all at once. Once the majority of the kids had been picked up, Y/N glanced around to see the mess that had been left from the day that sheâd have to clean up by herself. Her shoulders dropped as she landed on a small figure, realising she wasnât completely alone yet.Â
âElise, what are you doing?â Y/N smiled at the tiny girl playing in the corner, she was picking up picture books and flicking through them as if she were actually reading them. Y/N crouched down in front of the small toddler, âAre you enjoying those?âÂ
Elise just grinned, picking something up with her small fingers and trying to put it in her mouth. Her brown, curly ringlets were no longer in uneven bunches like they had been this morning and her overalls were covered in food and paint stains. Y/N picked up the two-year-old to place in her lap, âShall we read something before your dad comes to get you?â Elise babbled a reply.Â
Halfway through their fifth book, Elise was near enough asleep on Y/Nâs lap. It had already been an hour since all of the other children went home and it wouldnât be long before the sun would set. Y/N carefully picked Elise up so her head was on her shoulder and it was comfy enough to sleep as she stepped towards the telephone to see if Eliseâs father was coming to pick her up.Â
As her hand went to pick up the telephone, a voice stopped her, âHello?â It was deep and southern and husky like he had just smoked a cigarette or two, âIâm here to pick up Elise.âÂ
Y/N turned around, and her breath caught in her throat as she spotted a tall figure leaning casually against the door frame. He wore a brown leather aviator jacket and grey trousers, with his flight cap tucked under his arm. His piercing green eyes, similar to Elise's, met hers, framed by brown curly hair. An unlit cigarette dangled from his lips.Â
Y/N had never seen anyone like him in her entire life.Â
âY-yes,â She cleared her throat and forced her eyes to look away from his intense gaze. She stood and walked over to where he stood by the door with Elise in his arms, âYou must be Eliseâs father.âÂ
âM her brother,â He corrected.Â
âExcuse me?â Y/N wasnât sure if she heard him correctly, too busy gawking at him to actually pay attention.Â
âM Eliseâs brother, one out of three of her brothers to be exact.â He repeated, his eyes glancing at the sleeping girl Y/N was holding.Â
âO-oh,â She blushed, âMy bad, you look so similar I thought you were her father.â
âEasy mistake,â Harry smirked, âWould you like me to take her from you?âÂ
âYes, of course,â Y/N gently removed Elise from her and passed her to Harry.
âThere we go,â He cooed as Elise whimpered at the sudden movement, âThereâs mâ little Elise.âÂ
Y/N thought her ovaries might explode as she watched the pilot interact with the small girl in his arms, making sure she was comfortable enough so she could remain asleep. âAre you new here maâam?â Harry spoke his focus now back on Y/N.
âYes actually, todayâs my first day here,â She explained.Â
âNo wonder, I ainât ever seen yâ around the place. Howâre you liking it so far?âÂ
âIâve only been here a couple of days but itâs been nice. Working here at the nursery has been lovely too,âÂ
âYeah?â Harryâs lips curled, âI hope this one hasnât been giving yâ much trouble. She can be a little devil with my younger brothers.âÂ
Y/N immediately shook her head, âNo, sheâs been lovely honestly. Think I spent most of the day with Elise out of all the other children.âÂ
Y/N noticed how Harry focused on her face as she spoke to him, every now and then his eyes would dart to her lips and then back up to meet her eyes, âY got any friends here?âÂ
She paused, âAny friends?âÂ
âYeah, you know,â He half smiled, it felt almost flirty but maybe Y/N was just imagining it, âPeople yâ like to hang out with.â
âUh yeah, I share a house with a few of the girls who work in various places around the base. I get along with most of them and the ladies who work here at the nursery too.â Y/N explained, cringing at how awkward she was and how sheâd probably be replaying this conversation back later only to die of embarrassment of all the things she said.Â
âYâ know thereâs a dance down at the community centre this Friday, yâ should come, oh and invite some of those friends of yours too.âÂ
âOh I donât know, I think Iâm working this Friday and-âÂ
âA lot of my buddies who I fly with go there sometimes - a good time they said. It might be a good chance to meet some of the people here,â He shrugged, âCould offer yâ a dance or two if youâd like.âÂ
Y/N wondered if all this was really happening right now or if she was just so tired that she was hallucinating, âO-okay,â
Harry grinned, a dimple carving into his cheek, âWell alright then,â
âAlright then,â Y/N tried to keep her smile at bay as she took it as his queue to leave. She kept the door open so he could easily step out as he walked backwards with Elise in his arms and his eyes still on Y/N even as he said nothing.Â
âSo Iâll see yâ at the dance?âÂ
âMaybe,â Y/N shrugged, even though she had already decided she was most definitely going to the dance.Â
âAlright, maybe Iâll see yâ at the dance then,â Harry responded with a light, amused chuckle.Â
Y/N watched as he turned his back and began to walk down the dirt road until he stopped briefly and spun around, âI didnât catch yâname by the way,â He called out to her.
Y/N cupped her mouth, âItâs Y/N,â
âY/N,â He said the name like he was testing how it sounded, âM Harry. Hey, I better see yâ at that dance Y/N, I donât handle rejection all that well.â Y/N couldnât help but giggle.
âI can believe that,â She yelled back.
âIâd say goodbye but I wanna see yâ at that dance so Iâll say goodnight instead.â Harry said with a casual salute before turning and continuing down the road.
Y/N shut the door and leaned against it, clutching her hands over her chest in complete disbelief. Her sister had warned her the pilots on the base would be young men near enough her own age and that she ought to be careful hanging around them. However, her sister hadnât warned her that a man like Harry would stumble over to her workplace to pick up his sister and invite her to a dance on Friday night.
Y/N quickly cleaned up the nursery, shoving things into boxes and wiping down the tables, before grabbing her coat and running down the road to her house.
On every street on the housing estate, there was a row of houses that all looked the same but were owned by different types of people. Some had big families all living under one roof, others were men who lived alone. Y/Nâs house was the first house on the street. It was a traditionally designed home with a pitched roof, a small front porch and symmetrical windows. She shared it with three other girls who all worked different jobs across the Air Force base.Â
The sun had already set by the time she entered the house. All the lights were turned on and the gentle music of Buddy Holly sounded from the living room. Y/N kicked off her heels and hung up her coat, walking to the living room where Patsy and Molly were lounging on the couch. Molly had Patsyâs foot in her lap as she painted her toenails a wine red.Â
Y/N collapsed on the couch next to Molly, âWhatâs wrong? Work not go so well?â Molly inquired.
âNo,â Y/N huffed, resting her head on Mollyâs shoulder, âIt was wonderful.â
âWell, whatâs got you so blue Peggy Sue,â Patsy questioned, her tone playful. She was reading a magazine and smoking a cigarette.Â
âA man came into work after everybody left to pick up one of the girls, Elise.â Y/N clarified.Â
âYou mean Elise Styles?â Molly asked.Â
Y/N sat up, âYes, you know her?âÂ
âJust about every woman on this base knows her. Sheâs the Stylesâ little sister.â Molly explained, âWeâve all had to babysit her at least once for those brothers.âÂ
âYeah and neither of us will be doing it again,â Patsy piped up, as if reminding Molly.Â
âOh, you must know Harry then,â Molly paused, shoving Patsyâs foot off of her lap and turning to face Y/N.
âIs he the man youâre sighing over?â Patsyâs magazine fell to the floor as she too stopped to listen.Â
Y/N furrowed her brows, confused by their reaction, âY-yes, what about him?â
âWhat about him?â Molly stood, grabbing a cigarette from the packet on the coffee table and lighting it up, âY/N you oughta be careful around all three of those brothers but especially Harry.â
âWhat do you mean?â Y/N glanced at Patsy who nodded in agreement with Molly.Â
âThat boy is not good news. Heâs Offuttâs best pilot and he thinks that gives him the right to go around sniffing out every woman that steps foot onto this base.â Y/N frowns, watching as Molly begins to pace back and forth, âHe didnât ask you to go out with him did he?â
âWell he asked me to the dance on Friday. The one at the community centre.âÂ
âOh, I bet he did!â Molly exclaimed, âListen Y/N, Iâm telling you this because I donât want any trouble for you. That boy is no good, heâs slept with half the ladies residing here and even the wives too I bet! He asked Patsy to go out to dinner with him one night and stood her up to go see another woman.â
Y/N glanced at Patsy, âHe was flirting with two different women inbetween the moment he asked and our date a week later.â She added.Â
âThatâs right. Y/N darlinâ, we shoulda warned yâ before yâ stepped foot out of this house this morning. Those Styles brothers will mess you around and leave yâ lonely for sport. Youâre too nice to deserve all of that.âÂ
Y/N's shoulders slumped, âBut he seemed so⊠nice.â Y/N pictured Harry with Elise and how gentle he was with her.Â
âHeâs not a bad person Y/N but when it comes to women, thereâs no guessing what that man turns into.â
âEveryoneâs heard plenty of things about why they came here too. If you ask me, his home wasnât exactly a perfect example to him.â Patsy said.
âWell, whatever reason, best stay away from him.â Molly finished.Â
Y/N heaved a sigh, âSo I shouldnât go to the dance on Friday?â
âOh no, weâll go to the dance. Harryâs not the only fine, young pilot on base Iâll tell you that.â Molly smirked and Patsy cheered with excitement at the thought of going out Friday night.Â
Y/N attempted to smile, but she couldn't shake off the sadness upon realising that the man she had met earlier in the evening wasn't as kind as she had initially believed. Molly fell back onto the couch next to her and put an arm around her shoulders, âCheer up sweet cheeks. Iâm sure plenty of men will want to take you out after this dance.âÂ
Y/N managed a weak smile, grateful for Molly's comforting presence. "Thanks, Molly," she murmured, leaning into her friend's embrace.
"Yeah, plenty of fish in the sea, darlin'. You'll find one that's worth your time." Patsy chimed in.
Feeling a bit more reassured by her friends' words, Y/N nodded. "You're right. I canât let one bad apple ruin my night."
Molly squeezed her shoulder affectionately. "That's the spirit! Now let's focus on having a great time at the dance. We can tell you about some of the other fellas who live here too."
With her friends' support, Y/N felt an inkling of hope return. She might have been disappointed by one man, but she wasn't about to let it dampen her spirits for the rest of the evening. She was glad she told her friends about her interaction with Harry and now she was left with one rule stitched into the back of her mind.
Keep away from Harry Styles.Â
. . .
The night sky was clear enough to see the stars glittering against the pitch-black backdrop. A soft, gentle breeze flowed through the air as Harry lay back on the swinging chair on the front porch of the house he shared with his three brothers.Â
This was his favourite time of day when it was completely silent and the air was cool and crisp. He didnât like the nights so much when he was living with his parents. After midnight, or sometimes just before, his father would come in through the backdoor stinking the place up with alcohol and waking everyone up with his nightly rampages.Â
Nowadays, the nighttime was the most relaxing part of the day and Harry savoured every second of it. He often finds himself sat out on the porch after putting Elise to bed. Heâd smoke a cigarette or two, and maybe play his guitar a little bit.Â
Tonight felt a little different though. Whilst his brothers were upstairs trying to put a fussy Elise to bed after sheâd napped when he brought her home from nursery, he came outside and could think of nothing but the woman he found holding his little sister in her arms.Â
Harry knew everyone on base the same way they knew him. He recognised faces easily and had at least one brief encounter with everyone he met in passing. However, the face he had met for the first time this evening was unfamiliar and new.Â
Her features were delicate and angelic, with large doe eyes that held a hint of shyness to them. A soft, rosy blush adorned her cheeks and her lips were full and plush that he couldnât seem to take his eyes off of them. Her movements were gentle and her voice was airy and sweet, Harry thought of her stuttering and the way sheâd blush whenever she spoke. He hadnât seen anything like her in his life - he wasnât a religious or spiritual person but, at that moment, he was pretty sure an angel had landed right in front of his very eyes.Â
Even her name sounded as though it came from some kind of mythical text - one full of beauty and purity, love and light.Â
Harry wasnât the purist of men, far from it. He had slept in the beds of women he couldnât remember the name of and indulged in his fair share of reckless behaviour. But in the presence of Y/N, he felt an unfamiliar stirring within him, a sense of longing tugging at his heartstrings. He didnât know what it was and he wasnât so sure he was ready to find out yet.Â
He lit a cigarette with a matchstick and exhaled into the air, tendrils of smoke dancing above him. The sound of footsteps thudding inside of the house as someone walked downstairs, broke the silence he had been basking in.Â
The door swung open and George stepped out, âFinally managed to get Elise to settle down though it took a whole round of nursery rhymes. Sonnyâs still up there now, heâs afraid sheâll wake up again if he stops singing.â George took a cigarette from the pack Harry had in his pocket, âI thought you told those ladies at the nursery not to let her nap before she comes home.âÂ
âI did,â Harry spoke, his voice husky.Â
âWhat? They didnât listen to yâ?â George chuckled.Â
âThereâs a new worker. Iâll let her know next time I see her.â Harry hadnât wanted to tell Y/N that Elise wasnât allowed to sleep so late in the afternoon because it was harder to get her to go to bed at night. He didnât seem to have the heart to as he watched her hold the small girl in her arms.Â
George scoffed, âA new worker? Is she a knockout at least?âÂ
Harry didnât reply, instead asking, âWhat do yâ think about the three of us going to the dance at the Community Centre on Friday?âÂ
George laughed until he realised his brother wasnât laughing with him, âYouâre serious?âÂ
The door swung open again and out stepped Sonny, âI swear if that baby wakes up, you two can sit in there and dance circles around her singing Miss Muffet for all I care. I ainât doing that again.â He wiped his brow with the back of his hand, âCan yâ pass me a cigarette, George?âÂ
George handed the cigarette to Sonny, âHey Sonny, Harry wants to know if weâll go to the dance at the Community Centre this Friday.â
Sonny chuckled but that quickly went away, âOh shit really?â
âYeah thaâs what I thought,â George said.
âYou got your eye on someone Harry?â Sonny spoke, âIs it that girl from the med centre? She sure is something.â
Harry sat up and turned to face his two brothers, âNo, itâs not that,â He lied, âJusâ thought we could go do something other than sit around and drink at the bar.âÂ
âBut the dance?â Sonny quirked a brow, âYou hate dances.â
âI never said that,â Harry said, even though he always made it known how much he hated the dances they held every Friday night.Â
âNo, I definitely think I remember yâ saying dances were for people who wanted to get laid but couldnât,â George spoke, backing up his younger brother who nodded in agreement.Â
âAlright,â Harry held his hands up, âAlright maybe I did say that. Câmon, what are you, Gunther and Francis? Sit down the pair of you.â They followed their older brother's orders, sitting on the seats opposite him. âMaybe there is a girl.â He sighed.
âOh yeah?â Sonny smirked.
âYeah, little shit,â Harry chuckled, âSo if you could both do me a favour and get yourselves cleaned up Friday night because weâre going to a shitty dance and I wonât be having either of yâ covered in grease and soot.â
âOkay, alright, H.â George took a puff of his cigarette, âBut youâre paying for drinks after.â Harry shook his head, unable to suppress a chuckle.
. . .
Y/N stood in front of her bedroom mirror when Friday night rolled around. She had left the nursery in a hurry, needing as much time as possible to get ready for the dance at the Community Centre. She had been wracked with nerves all week, knowing there was a high chance she would see Harry there and sheâd have to do her best to ignore him like Molly had told her to.Â
She had picked out her outfit the night before. It was one of her best dresses- a lovely duck egg blue, satin fabric with a fitted bodice and a sweetheart neckline that showed off her decolletage. From the waist, the skirt flowed down in a full, flared A-line silhouette, gently swaying with every step. She wore white low heels on her feet and decided to carry a small purse with her too.Â
Most of her time in the evening was spent on her hair and makeup. Y/N had almost used an entire can of hairspray to ensure her hair would stay intact the whole night. Molly had even given her a French manicure the night before and she spent the whole day at the nursery trying her best not to ruin her perfectly shaped nails.Â
It had been a long time since she had put this much effort into going somewhere and it was all for a measly dance. There would be many other pretty girls who had spent more or less time on dressing up who probably had a better chance of catching the eye of a man than Y/N did. Yet she wasnât hoping for the attention of just any man.Â
Even though Molly and Patsy had warned her of Harryâs nature, she couldnât stop thinking about Harry. The way his eyes sparkled when he smiled and the sound of his voice as he spoke in that deep, southern drawl. Every time she thought of going to the dance, he would appear in her mind. Maybe she didnât necessarily want anything from him but she wanted to at least catch his eye enough to make a lasting impression on him.Â
Y/N applied a little more powder to her nose and did one final check in the mirror. She straightened her shoulders, âThis will have to do,â She muttered, grabbing her purse.Â
Patsy and Molly were already downstairs drinking margaritas and listening to Frank Sinatra on the record player. âOh and another one comes to join us,â Molly grinned, wearing a navy, spotty dress with a red belt wrapped around her small waist.Â
âWhat took you so long?â Patsy grinned, pouring a drink in a martini glass and handing it to Y/N.
âO-oh no thank you, I donât drink.â Y/N shook her head and forced a smile out of politeness.
âWhat? You donât?â Patsy replied like she couldnât believe what she was hearing.Â
âOh câmon! Just one little sip - liquid courage and all that.â Molly took the glass from Patsy to give to Y/N who forced herself to take it from her. She held the glass to her lips, taking one small sip and feeling a tiny burn from the alcohol.Â
âGood right?â Molly smirked, lighting a cigarette and holding the packet open to Y/N.Â
âNo thank you, I donât smoke either.â Y/N laughs nervously.Â
âFair enough,â Molly shrugs, passing the pack over to Patsy who happily takes one for herself.Â
Y/N places her drink on the table, knowing she wonât be touching it again. âWeâll be heading out in a moment, weâre just waiting on one more.â As if she could hear them talking about her, footsteps thumped down the stairs and into the living room.
Y/Nâs eyes widened when her eyes landed on the tall, blonde standing in the doorway. She was wearing a black dress with a neckline that showed off her bust and a tight waistline that accentuated her curves. The strands of her golden, blonde hair were tied back into a high ponytail with her fringe perfectly curled. She wore red lipstick on her plump lips which made the blue in her eyes even brighter than they already were.Â
âYouâve been in your room for hours, Nancy,â Patsy whined.Â
âYes well, I donât just plan on getting wasted tonight Patsy.â Nancy retorted.Â
Nancy was Y/N's other housemate, but Y/N didn't know her as well as she knew Patsy and Molly. Even though they lived together, Nancy seemed a bit distant compared to the latter two, who were friendly and nice. Nancy would smile politely, but she didn't say much else. Oftentimes, Y/N would get a strange feeling about Nancy like how she would make little comments that seemed to be jabs masked by forced politeness or how sometimes it felt like Nancy enjoyed pointing out Y/N's mistakes, like how she did her laundry or what groceries she bought. She wasnât sure what she had done to upset Nancy but Y/N hoped it was just her over-thinking that made her believe she was this way and that tonight would allow them to get to know each other a little better.Â
Nancyâs eyes fell on Y/N and looked her up and down, âNice dress,â She said, her voice dripping with saccharine sweetness.
âThank you,â Y/N offered her a smile but received nothing in return.Â
âAlright ladies,â Molly stubbed her cigarette in the ashtray, âLetâs go catch us a few good men.â
âA few?â Patsy giggled.
âYouâre right, I think a few is a little too much for this place.â Molly huffed and led the way out of the house and towards the community centre.Â
Y/N could hear the live music coming from the centre as they walked down the street. Patsy and Molly were stumbling ahead, arms linked together as they laughed side by side. Y/N tried not to laugh at her friends as she walked alongside Nancy.Â
âYou planning on hooking up with anybody tonight?â Nancyâs voice broke the silence between them.Â
âNo I donât think so,â Y/N replies.Â
Nancy scoffs, âThese dances are mostly for that you know, better prepare yourself when a fella tries to talk to you.â
âYou think theyâll want to?â Y/N asked, hopeful.
Nancy glanced at her, âIâm sure theyâll snatch you right up those pilot boys.â
Y/N blushes, âIs there anyone youâve got your eyes on tonight Nancy?â She liked this, conversing with Nancy. She hoped this would be the start of breaking the ice between them and maybe they could become friends eventually, or at least build acquaintances.Â
Nancy smirks, âOnly one.â She said nothing after that.Â
The girls walked into the community centre which was already full of people from all over the airbase. A live band was playing Elvis Presley songs, the music blaring into Y/Nâs ears once they stepped inside. âAny of you girls want a drink-â
âMolly is that Everett?â Patsy pointed to a man in the corner, talking to a woman.Â
Mollyâs face scrunched up, âI guess heâs back from Italy.â
Nancy interrupted the conversation, her eyes darting across the room like she was searching for somebody, âYou girls grab something to drink, Iâm just going to use the bathroom.â
âWhoâs Everett?â Y/N asked Patsy as they walked towards the drinks table.Â
âA guy Molly had a thing with last year,â Patsy explained.
âYeah until he told me he was going to Italy for a year and wanted to break things off so he could get laid by an Italian woman.â Molly ranted, leading the girls to the drinks table.Â
A bowl of punch resided in the centre of the table, Molly grabbed the ladle and poured them all a drink. Y/N took a sip and allowed her eyes to scan the room. Couples were dancing in the centre whilst others spoke in groups off to the side. Â
Eventually, her eyes caught sight of a group of men walking through the door. Each one of them was dressed in a similar uniform, a navy blue tailored jacket and matching, fitted trousers. She watched as an entire group of them continued to flood in through the doors until the last man stepped through.Â
He was wearing the same uniform as the others and his hair was gelled back with one curl falling in front of his forehead, unlike the messy curls she had seen when they first met. Y/N couldnât help but stare as he weaved through the crowd and interacted with people as he walked past them. Everyone seemed to know him from the looks of it. He exuded confidence and bravado, peopleâs faces lighting up whenever he stopped to talk to them.
âPatsy?â One of the boys spoke.Â
âHere we go,â Molly muttered, forcing a smile.Â
A man with features that looked similar to the man Y/N had been eyeing, walked up to them with a taller man following him. âHi Sonny,â Patsy greeted.Â
âYâ sure know how to make yourself look good when you want to,â He winked, eyeing her up and down.
âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â Patsy put both her hands on her waist.Â
âYou know what I mean,â Sonny argued, realising he might have said something to offend her even though he had no idea what that might be.Â
âHi,â The taller man behind him spoke. Y/N looked up and was met with familiar green eyes except they were a little bit lighter than the ones she had seen.Â
âHi,â Y/N blushed.
âIâm George. Are you new here? I donât think Iâve ever seen you around.â He wondered, pointing his thumb over his shoulder to the crowd as he spoke.Â
âY-Yes, I arrived recently actually. I just started working at the nursery.â She clarified.Â
âOh, the nursery! You must know my little sister Elise.â Y/Nâs lips turned upwards thinking of the little girl she had been spending so much time with over the last few days. Since her first day, Elise had constantly been wanting her attention whether it was to nap or play with things or read books. âYou must have met my older brother then.â
âOlder brother?â Y/N didnât have enough time to register as George glanced around the room and called out his brotherâs name.Â
âHarry, câmere!â He called.Â
Harryâs head turned towards them in the middle of his conversation. His eyes landed on his brother until they found hers. He offered a small smile and began to walk towards them with a drink already in his hand, âThis is one of the new workers at Eliseâs nursery.â George introduced even though he didnât really need to.Â
âYes, weâve already met,â Harry said and Y/N thought she might melt into a puddle on the floor at the sound of his voice. âHi there,â
âHello,â Y/N smiled, shyly.
âSo you came?â He teased.Â
âI did.â She laughed, lightly.Â
âAnd these are yâ friends?â He looked to Patsy and Molly who were bickering with Sonny who seemed to have said something else to offend them, George now joining in on the argument as he let Harry and Y/N talk.Â
âYeah, theyâre my friends,â Y/N said, feeling nervous under his gaze. But despite her nerves, she couldn't deny the thrill of being the focus of his attention.
âGood to know,â He murmured, âY come here with anyone else?âÂ
"Um, no, just the girls from my house," Y/N stuttered, feeling a rush of nerves as Harry's gaze lingered on her. "I don't know that many people. Other than the girls I live with and the ones from the nursery, who are all lovely, by the way," she added, her words tumbling out in a nervous ramble.
Harry grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement at her flustered state. "You know me too," he stated, his tone playful as he leaned in closer.Â
Y/N gulped the air she breathed just as the lights in the centre dimmed. The fast-paced music began to slow down and couples gathered to the dance floor to slow dance together. âY wanna dance with me Y/N?â Harry asked.Â
âI-Iâm not very good at it,â Y/N smiled sheepishly, her cheeks tinged with a delicate blush. It was impossible to resist the charm that radiated from him.
He held out the palm of his hand and Y/Nâs lips parted as she glanced down at it, âS just swaying thaâs all. Think yâ can do that?âÂ
Y/N hesitantly nodded, her pulse quickening as Harry's long fingers gently wrapped around her wrist. A tingling sensation danced across her skin, sending shivers down her spine and causing goosebumps to rise in response to his touch. He led her to the centre of the dancefloor and turned around so they were face to face. Harry took both of Y/N's hands in his own, his touch sending electric currents coursing through her veins. With a tender yet confident touch, he trailed his fingers down her arms, causing her breath to hitch in her throat. As his hands settled at her waist, Y/N's breath turned shallow, her heart racing as the music floated through the air.Â
She was stiff at first, unable to relax until he leant forward and whispered, âRelax birdy,â She felt his breath against her neck as he spoke. He squeezed her waist a little and she dropped her shoulders, trying her best to loosen up under the circumstances.Â
âBirdy?â Y/N spoke, questioning the new nickname.
âI spotted yâ as soon as I stepped through the door. Your dress is blue ân it reminded me of the bluebirds I used to see back home whenever Iâd go up in the mountains with my grandpa.â He explained.Â
âI didnât know youâd seen me.â
âI searched for yâ as soon as I walked in. I only came because of you, if I couldnât find yâ Iâd probably just turn back and go to a bar or something.â He chuckled and Y/N laughed with him.
âNo Elise?â She questioned, unable to stop herself from asking about the little girl she had become fond of.Â
âElise is staying with the family next door. Little rascal tried to get ketchup on my uniform,â He rolled his eyes, âI got a free house if thatâs what youâre implying though.â
Y/Nâs face turned beat red, âN-No thatâs not what Iâm implying at all.â
âM just messinââ Harry grinned, cheekily.
Y/N relaxed, composing herself and trying to pull herself together, âIâve heard things about you, you know.â
âOh yeah?â Harry smirked, âWhat things?â
âJust things.â Y/N felt his fingertips press her skin for a moment.
âAnd do you believe these things?â Harry murmured, leaning in a little closer.
Y/N looked him in the eye, trying to see if she could read him without having to ask him a thousand questions, âI donât know yet.âÂ
Harry opened his mouth to reply but was stopped by the sudden change in music and the lights turning on above them. People cheered as they gathered back into big groups and began dancing again. Harry bit back a grin, shaking his head, âY wanna come outside with me?â He asked, shouting over the loud music. Y/N bit her lip and nodded, taking his outstretched hand and allowing him to pull her through the crowd of people.Â
The air was cold once they stepped outside. Harry led her over to a small bench nearby where fewer people were gathered. He pulled out a cigarette and offered her the pack, âOh no thank you, I donât smoke.â She declined, politely.Â
Harry smiled around his cigarette, his gaze lingering on Y/N for a beat or two as he casually slipped the pack into the pocket of his trousers. The air between them was filled with a comfortable silence, broken only by the soft sound of music drifting from inside the centre. Sensing Y/N's slight shiver, Harry swiftly removed his jacket and draped it over her shoulders without saying a word.
"But you'll get cold," Y/N protested, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Don't yâ worry about me. I don't get cold," Harry quipped, a mischievous twinkle in his eye as he shrugged off her concern. His white t-shirt revealed toned arms adorned with a few tattoos littering his tanned skin.Â
As Harry tilted his head back to blow smoke into the night air, Y/N couldn't help but admire the way he carried himself with effortless confidence. Gathering her courage, she decided to strike up a conversation.
"Were those your brothers back there?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Yeah, Sonny and George," Harry confirmed with a hint of pride in his voice.
"They look so much like you," Y/N remarked, her curiosity piqued.
"Strong genes, I suppose," Harry shrugged, his tone becoming more serious as he opened up about his family background.Â
"What about you? Do you have any siblings?" He inquired.
"Just an older sister and my little niece, Rosie Jean," Y/N replied, a fond smile tugging at her lips as she thought of her family.
"And your parents?" Harry pressed, his gaze intense as he studied her reaction.
"My parents are doctors, they work at a surgery in town," Y/N explained, feeling a pang of homesickness as she reminisced about her upbringing.
"And yours?" She prompted, turning the conversation back to Harry.
"M parents are nobodies," Harry's voice took on a sombre tone, clearly his family life was a sensitive topic. Sensing his discomfort, Y/N chose her next words carefully.
"What about Elise?" she asked, hoping to lighten the mood with talk of his sister.
"Elise is better off being raised by us three than being left alone in a house with batshit crazy," Harry scoffed, his protective instincts kicking in.
Feeling the weight of their conversation, Y/N searched for a way to lift Harry's spirits. "What made you want to be a pilot?" she asked, genuinely interested.
âSonny came home wanting to sign up for cadet training after they visited his school. He came home running through the doors with a flyer in his hand and told everybody he was going into the army. I told him âNo brother of mine is going anywhere that requires trench foot and guns.â He didnât talk to me for a week after that. It wasnât until I found an advertisement where yâ could train to fly planes when I decided I was gonna make a better life for myself and my siblings. It just so happened Sonny and George wouldnât let me go at it alone.â He inhaled his cigarette before tossing it to the ground.Â
As Harry shared the story of how he and his brothers found their way to Offutt, Y/N couldn't help but admire his determination. She found herself drawn to him even more, captivated by his strength and the way he always included his brotherâs in everything he spoke about.Â
A comfortable silence settled between them. Y/N's heart skipped a beat as Harry smoothly slid his hand next to hers, their fingers intertwining effortlessly. His touch sent a jolt of electricity through her.Â
"Have I told yâ how beautiful yâlook tonight?" Harry's voice was soft, his gaze locking with hers in a way that made her heart race.
Y/N blushed at his compliment, unable to tear her eyes away from his. "You're lying," she protested, feeling a surge of warmth spread through her cheeks.
"I swear it," Harry insisted, his hand reaching up to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Swear on mâ life, birdy."
Y/N's heart fluttered at the nickname, a secret thrill running through her as she turned to face him. His eyes held a tenderness that melted her defences, and she found herself smiling back at him.
"Hi, birdy," Harry murmured, a dimple appearing on his cheek as he leaned in closer.
"Hi, Harry," Y/N whispered, her voice barely above a breath as she savoured the moment.
Harry's shoulders dropped and a soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips, though he seemed to be fighting to contain it. âI canât lie to yâ birdy, I canât stop thinking about kissing you,â Y/N's breath caught in her throat, her heart racing at his words. âI was gonna lie and tell yâ Iâd been thinking about it since I saw you tonight but⊠quite honestly, I think I've been dreaming of yâ since I met yâ the other day.âÂ
Y/N didnât know what to say, she felt as though someone had put a zipper straight across her mouth and she couldnât get it to open. All she could feel was every muscle in her body beating against her skin as though they were trying to force her to surge forward and kiss him herself. âY-You can if you want,â She stuttered, cheeks pink.
Harry laughed, âWhat about if you want? Canât go kissinâ yâ if yâ donât want it birdy.âÂ
âI do want it,â Y/N nodded.Â
âYeah?â He spoke but it came out more like a whisper.Â
âYeah.â Y/N gulped, feeling nervous.Â
Harry didnât hesitate once the word had left her mouth. He leaned forward, closing the distance between them. Their lips met in a gentle, tentative kiss, soft and exploratory. Y/N's heart fluttered as she melted into the warmth of Harry's embrace, her senses flooded with the taste of his lips and the scent of his cedarwood cologne.
Time seemed to stand still as they lost themselves in the sweetness of the moment, their kisses deepening with each passing second. Harry's arms wrapped around Y/N, pulling her as close to him as possible.Â
In that instant, everything else faded awayâthe noise of the party, the chill of the night airâleaving only the two of them, lost in the heat of their first kiss.Â
They were both breathless as they pulled apart. Y/Nâs eyes fluttered open to find Harry already looking at her, his eyes filled with emotion and intense desire. She noticed his tongue poke out to lick his bottom lip and she couldnât help but giggle when she noticed the red lipstick stain she had left on his mouth from her kiss.Â
âWhere abouts do you live?â Harry murmured.
âClemon Street,â Y/N spoke, her voice coming out a whisper.Â
âYeah? Thatâs on my way home,â He grinned.Â
âOh really?â Y/N bit back a laugh, âI thought yâ lived on Newark Street - it said so in Eliseâs file.âÂ
Harry shrugged, âI like to go the long way round.â Y/N didnât bother pulling him up on the fact that the two streets were on opposite ends of the housing estate.Â
âCan I walk yâ home?â He asked, his fingers fiddling with the fabric of her dress.Â
Y/N nodded, biting her bottom lip, âYeah Iâd like that.âÂ
Harry grinned, âWell alright then.â
They stood up, Y/N keeping his jacket around her shoulders since it was still cold out, âIâve just got to go to the bathroom,â She motioned towards the community centre.Â
âIâll wait for yâ at the door,â He said, following her as they walked to the community centre side by side. Y/N walked up to the steps and opened the door, she looked over her shoulder to make sure Harry was still there- that he was real and not just someone she dreamt up.
Harry caught her eye, âM not going anywhere birdy,â he winked, âhurry up so I can walk yâ home and kiss yâ again.âÂ
Y/N laughed and hurried straight to the bathroom. Once inside, she closed the cubicle door behind her and sank down onto the lid of the toilet seat, a wide grin spreading across her face. Unable to contain her excitement, she let out a delighted squeal, her mind buzzing with thoughts of the moment she had just shared.Â
She pulled out the pocket mirror from her bag and quickly reapplied the lipstick that had been smeared off. She fluffed up her hair with her hands and rubbed her aching cheeks from where had been smiling so much. She stood up and held Harryâs coat in her arms. As Y/N stepped outside the community centre, she scanned the area in search of Harry, hoping to catch a glimpse of him waiting for her. Her anticipation turned to disappointment when she couldn't spot him anywhere, and her shoulders slumped slightly in resignation. Just as she was about to turn away, a figure caught her eyeâa silhouette that had a striking resemblance to Harryâstanding in a shadowy corner illuminated by the lights from the community centre.
Heart fluttering with excitement, Y/N smiled and took a step forward, eager to walk home with him. However, her joy quickly turned to dismay when she realised he wasn't alone.
A sudden giggle pierced the air, causing Y/N's heart to sink. Molly's warning appeared typed out in big letters at the forefront of her mind, filling her with regret and dread as she hesitated, frozen in place. With each step she took closer, the scene before her unfoldedâit was Nancy, her housemate, clinging to the man she had just kissed.
I imagine George to be Callum Turner and Sonny to be Timothee Chalamet specifically from ms stevens but you can imagine whoever youâd like ! <;33

bambi!reader đŠđ§đŒ â± rafeâs sweet girl
pop princess !
. Ęâ âč . Ę her personality is heavily based off of her music taste, her favourite artists are ~ sabrina carpenter, ariana grande, lana del rey, gracie abrams, clairo, taylor swift, chappell roan, harry styles, the 1975, frank ocean, billie eilish and so on. she hardly does anything without listening to music, getting ready? doing chores? doing homework? yeah sheâs blasting her favourite playlist either way.
pure soul
. Ęâ âč . Ę literally doesnât have a bad bone in her body, sure she can get jealous.. or mad, but she keeps it all under control. in other words sheâs always calm and collected, as opposed to rafe who often has âoutbursts.â rarely around her though, but when it happens, she knows what to do to get him to calm down. of course she does, she knows him better than anyone.
trinket collector
. Ęâ âč . Ę absolutely obsessed with sonny angels and sylvanian families, she has a whole shelf in her room filled with them. rafe doesnât get the appeal, to him theyâre just âstupid toysâ but heâd never say that to her, anything that makes his girl happy i guess???
ray of sunshine
. Ęâ âč . Ę radiates positive energy from a miles away, just her presence can change your mood instantly. always happily clinging onto rafeâs arm, following him around wherever he went, if he was there you could assume she was nearby, and vice versa, except for when she was with the pogues. it was kinda weird seeing them together at first, rafeâs cold exterior was of course a contrast to hers, but you know what they say, opposites attract.

end to end for director's cut
end to end, post canon kaneson, 5.8k, rated T
As the sun sets on the last day of Heungminâs career, the sky over Tottenham Hotspur Stadium turns a deep shade of navy blue.
OMG okay so firstly this fic was written specifically for my beloved @roykentalwaysremains , whose fresh tottenham hotspur fixation i capitalized on to drag him into the pits of rpf hell with me.
In a lot of ways end to end is a love letter to max and you elle and everyone else we spent last season watching footy with. Itâs definitely wish fulfillment!! But also me putting the hope out into the universe that a time and place that brought me a lot of joy stays whole & important in some way.
Commentary on specifics below the cut!
When it came to choosing which players would come back for Sonnyâs testimonial, I struggled with imposter syndrome in a real way LOL. Obviously, I did not follow spurs at the time (or at this time currently. Or really in any other way than through my pocket of friends who are spurs fans) and donât have a great grasp of those guys, their talent level & potential longevity, their narratives, etc etc. Future fics will never be evergreen but you never want something youâve put effort into to be completely obsolete, like, three months later. Eventually, I leaned into the wish fulfillment of it all and decided to be vague about the specific roster of guys on Sonnyâs testimonial team (as well as any details about their opposition)
I mean, testimonials are barely even done anymore LOL and I canât imagine the trend will reverse in the handful of years until Sonny retires.
More than any of them, Heungmin knows Harryâs rough edges. There used to be nothing left of Harry to discover. Then Harry went to Germany. Six years later, Heungmin feels a bit like Brennan, wide-eyed and amazed, not sure what to expect.
This line, as well as a few others from later sections of the fic, is essentially all that remains of the first fic I had vaguely planned to write for Maxâs birthday. That fic, discussed in length BEFORE spurs and bayern did NOT play into the kaneson narrative with their friendly in Korea this summer, would have followed their meeting there. messages i sent to Max when we were discussing it:
so much potential here tbhâŠ. kaneson meeting again on the field after h left but in sonâs home countryâŠ.. something something home something strangers something somethingâŠ.. sonny had lived a full life in korea that h would never know, and until a year before son had known h in the only place heâd ever called home, but maybe in five, ten years h would be as strange to son as sonâs life before tottenham was to hâŠ..
iâm envisioning them meeting up after the game and son takes him to his favorite place back home and they catch up and realize like. thereâs no separate harry or son pre or post spurs. theyâre both complete people and always have been and the best thing about loving someone else is spending your whole life getting to know them because no one is ever truly entirely Knowable and spurs is not the end all be all of Harry and Son, itâs just the place where for a while they were able to exist together. and theyâll always love it for thatâŠ.
spurs is a place and spurs is a time but more importantly spurs was something they chose to be together. and bitch guess whatâŠ.. NOTHING CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM THEM
and then Harry Kane decided he wasnât a team player and WASNT AT THE KOREA FRIENDLY đđđđđ
anyways
I really debated where I wanted H to end up in his retirement MLS career. He WILL be going in MLS I have no doubts about this, but idk for some reason I couldnât imagine him on the west coast, but I also couldnât imagine him specifically at one of the two evil New York teams with their multi club owners LOL. For a minute I was like âŠBoston??? New England Rev?? But then I decided fuck it, if Lamps went into the City system so can Harry. to NYCFC it is
When Heungmin came to Tottenham the new grounds were nothing but an abstract promise, loose dirt and construction vehicles and scaffolding. Months often went by with little to no visible progress. Many times Heungmin wondered if Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would ever be more than a half-constructed pile of steel beams and rubble. Yet despite everything, in front of them shines this glittering, otherworldly stadium that Harry and Heungmin get to call home before anyone else. The gradual transformation makes Heungmin believe that what theyâre building, he and Harry and all the other lads on the team, will grow to become what it was always meant to be.
Itâs not the grounds, Harry insists. Itâs them. Heungmin doesnât see the difference.
A thread that runs throughout most of my writing is the way that memory dwells in place. This fic is certainly an example of that! My academic research has a lot to do with the way that people construct identities based on place and space, and that comes through in how I connect setting to character.
Taking Harry seriously as a competitor adds a touch of normalcy to their relationship that Son hasnât felt for a long time. Their friendship is not a sacred, delicate flame to hold close to his chest. It does not need protection from the wind.
This is another remnant of the previously mentioned AU. Itâs also one of my favorite lines in the fic.
âIt was kind of nice, actually,â Dele says. âMade the rest of us look better for once. I swear, bro, I nutmegged you at least eight times that day.â
Iâve heard that Dele was notorious for nutmegging his teammates relentlessly back in the day.
âReally? All that for fucking Bloodborne?â says Brennan, looking at Heungmin, as Harry walks off.
Heungmin laughs. âDonât look at me! I still donât remember. I donât think I would stay up late for two weeks.â
This moment is a really important one for Sonny, just as important as his and Harryâs kiss a few scenes earlier. When he doesnât remember a pretty small detail that doesnât quite match up with how he thinks about himself from back then, heâs prompted to reflect on how much heâs changed since then. In this fic, Sonny sort of lives in the past, especially in the moments of his past where he felt the potential for things that never truly materialized. On a small scale, heâs forced to reckon with the fact that no matter what, he is a fundamentally different person than he was during the period of his life that will forever define his career. I think Tottenham as a club â and Sonny here in this fic, representing them â has a tendency to self-mythologize. And when buy into your own narrative, it can be too easy to overlook the messier parts of your past that donât fit so well into that narrative.
Anyways those are most of the thoughts I have on that fic!! Thank you for the ask elle ILY!!!

đđšâđ©âđ§âđŠ, đ€đ, and đ of the ask game
đđ§âđ§âđ§âđ§ - what are the missing kids families like?
susie: her parents are just average, everyday people. they both work in the educational system and try to teach their daughters everything they can about the world before itâs time for them to experience it on their own. susie has an older sister named tiffany, and though sheâs a bit moody and rude, they still love eachother very much and get a lot of bonding time in. susieâs favorite member of the family is, of course, her dog goldilocks!! she was given to her as a christmas present in 1983. her parents are named daisy park and harry owens.
gabriel: his parents are near opposites: sonny (his dad) is popular, loud, charismatic, and is what people would call a âmanâs-manâ. his mom janice, on the other hand, is very reserved and awkward. she is brought our of her shell by her husband, and they work together to make sure that gabriel takes after only their best qualities. they are very family oriented and shower gabriel in anything he could ever want.
jeremy: his mom, keller, left him and his dad soon after jeremy was born, so he doesnât really like her all that much. of course he has a strong bond with his dad, roberto, and he takes after him in almost every way, even down to his clothing style. roberto is very forgiving and lenient, and letâs jeremy drop out of school to pursue his music career after seeing how much jeremy hated going. roberto does have a few issues [both physical and addiction-wise], but he tries to stay clean for jeremy
fritz: his moms, nina and heidi, arenât together anymore, but they both make an effort to be in their sonâs life. fritz lives with heidi in hurricane while nina lives in canada, and fritz sends letters to his mom every few months to tell her how his life is going.
andrew: his parents, luis and esmerelda, are kind of caught in a family feud because their families donât like each other, but they try to keep andrew and his little brother anthony out of it. anthony is just a baby when andrew is around, and andrew likes to tell him about all his adventures even though his small brain canât really understand what heâs saying
cassidy: their parents abandoned them at their auntâs apartment one day, and havenât been heard from since. aunt amy (which isnât her full name, itâs just a nickname that cassidy has been calling her since as long as they can remember) tries her best to provide for the two as she struggles to make a living with a nearly minimum-wage job. the two live in either a apartment, or stay full-time in a hotel [i havenât decided yet]. aunt amy likes to do cassidyâs hair, and cassidyâs signature pigtails and bangs are all her doing.
đ€đ - what are the animatronicsâ personalities?
freddy: stiff, gruff, and serious. kind of like an old lumberjack. he gives off some sort of mob-boss stereotype, and he even has a comically large cigar to boot!! he quells and contrasts the other animatronicsâ banter
bonnie: has some wit, but is kind of stupid. heâs a real fantastical dreamer, and always talks about âmaking it big in the cityâ. he has some sort of catchphrase or hiccup. he might even say ghook. idk
chica: sheâs reactive and descriptive. she likes to add on to the other characters stories with things like âand this!â, âdonât forget this,â and âyou forgot to mentionâŠâ. she gets into arguments with foxy and freddy a lot
foxy: heâs a bit mean, but not overbearing. he likes to poke fun at everybody, but especially bonnie. he has some sort of ego because heâs the only animatronic thatâs able to play multiple instruments at once (the drums and tambourine)
fredbear: like a warm grandpa. he always has a story to tell, and takes his time to do so. he enjoys hearing what spring bonnie has to say.
spring bonnie: enthusiastic and springy.he likes to ramble, but isnât as coherent as fredbear.
đ - how much book lore do you intertwine with the game lore?
i only take a few characters [like andrew] and concepts [like remnant? i think itâs in the books] to muddle in the with game lore⊠i just take something i find interesting and reinvent it to fit into my narrative, and so some things are very different from their appearances in the booksâŠ..

Itâs insane because the fact that Harry doesnât really compliment Sonny in the way that Sonny is always ready to ramble about him is so special. Simply because Harry loves Sonny so much itâs obvious - you donât even need words to know. Itâs in the way he always runs backwards to catch him after a goal, in the way he never doubts Sonny, in the way he smiles at him and laughs with him when they do interviews together, shedding that stoic personality of Harry Edward Kane, Englandâs golden boy, that heâs built up over the years. Heâs just so different around Sonny.
And it makes things like âNever in doubtâ or âAnything that makes Sonny smile is a good thingâ and âSonnyâs a very important player to the teamâ even more special. Yes, everyone loves Sonny, but Harry loves him in this, like, absolutely furtive secret way even though itâs out in the open for everyone to see? Like the love he has for him is so personal?
Itâs so ⊠âIf I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.â
i donât even feel qualified to answer this, because how are you going to drop the most heartbreaking ask on my humble little blog?Â
(disclaimer? note?: i canât believe iâm writing all this for a footballer.. while i was typing this out i was genuinely concerned for my mental health)
harryâs a pretty selfish player, and iâm not saying that to talk bad about him, thatâs just the way he needed to develop, as a striker whose first priority is to score goals for himself.Â
heungmin and harry are almost polar opposites, and although we normally associate acts of love as something grand, something we need to show around, maybe sometimes, love is stored in small acts that only the person you love know, actions that are so out of character for you, but actions that develop into habits that youâre so unaware of, but habits you develop for them⊠does this make sense !!! and itâs genuinely insane that harry, out of everyone, is the one that notices the small things about heungmin, like when harry pushed eric aside when he saw that he was being too harsh with heungmin when he was stretching him out, doing everything he possibly can to get heungmin another goal to secure an individual golden boot when he heard that salah had scored another goal, and patting his chest in silent apology when he accidentally pushed heungmin while trying to get in between heungmin and some arsenal players⊠Does this Make Sense !!!!!
heungmin loves him in a way where he talks and talks and talks about harry to other people, because thatâs just his way of expression; he wants the media to know that what a great person harry is, and perhaps that stems from his need for praise from his dad or from the media. when heungmin loves something, it just oozes out of him - you can physically see the happiness and his love for football radiate off of him when he plays. he doesnât do subtlety and thatâs just the way heungmin is !! he wants everyone to love and see harry in the way that he does.Â
and harry loves him in a way where he wants to be the only person who gets to see heungmin in a certain way, because everyone loves heungmin but heâs the only one who knows certain details about heungmin. i was talking to alex abt this but my fucking gad i wish i could express myself better on this bc i have SO much to say on the way they love âŠ. oughhhhh

Prince Harry the Tyrannical
Prince Harry the Tyrannical https://ift.tt/lghjkcw "I get a chilling vision of what it must have been like when we Brits lived under monarchs who had real power. When we had to suffer the arrogant decrees of people whose high standing derived entirely from their fatherâs sperm.""Harry embodies that pre-modern imperious style far more than any other Windsor. Heâs Harry the Tyrannical, the only senior member of The Firm right now who is deploying his princeliness to political ends." "Then thereâs his tabloidphobia. This, too, echoes the despotic tendencies of royals of old who loathed the low-rent press and its rousing of the rabble. " "The fight for freedom of the press in this country was precisely a fight for the right to mock kings and princes. So every Brit who values this freedom should recoil when a prince now asks âWho on earth is policing [the newspapers]?â, as Harry asked this week. Who polices the press? Not you, sonny." I've said for a long time that Harry and Meghan are the opposite of modern. They are old, old school royals who want complete power over everything and everyone. He would be gathering an army to attack his brother and take the throne if he was born two centuries ago. â Submitted June 09, 2023 at 08:45PM by LegalBeagleEsquire https://ift.tt/3qPNbho via /r/SaintMeghanMarkle

Do you have music headcanons for silent hill protagonists?
I feel like Harry Mason likes 50â -70â songs, specially jazz and blues (maybe he likes Sinatra idk) while James likes Reddit sad man music, thereâs no way this dude doesnât like at least one Radiohead song.
I donât have more headcanons </3
i'm actually straight up cackling, my hc are the OPPOSITE! (well, sorta.)
i've tagged James to like a lot of oldies with a cutoff of maybe around mid-80s? he can be a liiiiittle bit of a "new music is trash >:(" kind of person. Frank influenced his music tastes a lot, always had the oldies station on in the car, would turn it on at home, and well, all the vinyls at home, too.
For Reasons*, James has a particular fondness for Sherry Baby by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons ( https://youtu.be/Uybtn6ebG0I ) (SORRY, THE NEW TUMBLR POST MECHANIC DOESN'T LET ME PROPERLY FUCKIN ADD LINKS TO TEXT DGLKDGFLKFGLKG), and is just a Four Seasons fan in general; as well as The Ink Spots, Billy Joel, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, The Carpenters, The Beach Boys, Four Tops, Otis Redding, big band stuff, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, The Eagles (sorta), Frank Sinatra (to an extent, he liked The Rat Pack stuff better), Nat King Cole, The Beatles (itâs complicated), Bobby Darin, a smattering of other crooners and types of artists, etc etcâŠâŠ.
.. but heâs not much a fan of Barry White LOL. (sorry Mary :\ ) he really doesnât like baritone or bass voices in general, though. he finds them eerie. (loserâs missing out tbh) tho i think too you're right about jazz! he's just..... kinda picky about what kind, i think. dude's pretty picky :\ i also think blues are a hit or miss with him. now, HARRY..
Harry is also an oldies appreciator, can appreciate the blues quite a bit, and his music tastes can goes way back and all OVER the place! he and James share a few favorite artists, but uhâŠâŠ. our boy Harry here likes to rock the fuck out!! LOL
Harryâs been a HUGE fan of Rancid since he started listening to them probably around 1995?? big fan of jam bands too, including Counting Crows (yeah) and CBDB! other artists he likes are Neil Diamond, Jonathan Coulton, The Grateful Dead, Meat Loaf, Brown Bird, Tom Rosenthal, Selena (itâs complicatedâŠâŠ), Cyndi Lauper, Scorpions, Celine Dion (itâs complicated), Stealers Wheel, Seals and Crofts (itâs complicated), Jimi Hendrix, Jim Croce, Electric Light Orchestra, 16 Horsepower, Dio, Motley Crue, Motorhead, Fleetwood Mac, Cher, Sonny & Cher..
.. among others! he likes some Motown (and honestly, James does too!! Motown fucks) and a few Spanish artists, like Gloria Estefan, Celia Cruz, Mercedes Sosa, Antonio Aguilar.. aaaand some others he canât name. (thanks, Jodi and family!)
quite a few artists are Complicated Relationships for various reasons (such as Jodi..) and others, eh.. Life Experiences.
Harry IS a car-jammer and lip sync-er. catch that fuckin weirdo drumming the steering wheel and air guitaring. catch Heather trying to jimmy the child lock on the door and leap out into traffic
Harry actually really loves karaoke as well! .. watching more than singing. youâd have to get him a liiiiiittle blitzed to encourage him to get up there. thereâs a 70/30 chance heâd just want to sing something completely stupid tho, like Re: Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton. ( https://youtu.be/IIlITc1nkk8 ) his singing voice/style is awfully fucking cute of him; i sure will say thatâŠ.. (because idiot writing brain might not like me giving some fine details away to the general public yet..Â
.. and if you know, then you know, and SSSHHHHHHH.)
it has to be said, tho: for as extroverted as this man is, and how much everyone - as well as he - jokes that he shouldâve been an actor, he the MASSIVE amounts of stage fright can really hold a person backâŠ.. and besides. it wouldâve disrupted the timeline; heâdâve just been so good, heâdâve put Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise; hell, even Georgie Clooney! out of work.. ssssssoooooooo he was just being courteous. thatâs all. .. yeah.
JAMES and karaoke, thoâŠ.. heahsdfhehrhghdgh ITâS COMPLICATED DONâT FUCKING LOOK AT HIM [drives into a large body of water]
i think he had a wee little fantasy about being in a barbershop quartet :| thatâs what growing up on oldies/big bands/crooners will do to a person. itâs unknown if he can sing, or much less understand how to keep a beat. it wasnât anything big enough to actually want to pursue, per say.. just one of those types of little daydreams :)
iâm actually working on playlists for them!! theyâre intended to be their âmixtapesâ - what youâd typically find them listening to in the car. iâd actually kind of forgotten about them until this askâŠâŠâŠ.. ahah oopsâŠ. well shit iâll just have to get back to it huh??
thank you so much for the ask!!!! :)!!! that was such a sweet little morning surprise, bless, hope u have a good one and stay healthy and safe!! xoxo đđđ„đ„đđ„đđ„

DID SOMEONE SAY ITH BIG BANG? HEREâS MY SUBMISSION FOR WEEK 1: SHIPS!
-
Being best friends with the two biggest dorks in the neighborhood, Nina realized, had its perks. Usnavi had been her platonic soulmate since birth, and sheâd just clicked with Vanessa on the first day of primary school. Usnavi and Vanessa had a lot in common, actually, even though they seemed like polar opposites; the positive one and the grumpy one.
First, they were both nerds. As much as Vanessa hated to admit it, she loved listening to Nina talk about science and Harry Potter and other nerdy topics. Hell, Nina had even caught Vanessa taking a Hogwarts house quiz on one of the clunky old computers in the computer room a few years back; Vanessa was a Hufflepuff, which didnât really surprise Nina. Vanessa was one of the kindest people she knew underneath her tough exterior.
Usnavi had actually been the one to get her into science and astronomy, by talking to her when she was younger about how stars were actually burning balls of gas millions of miles away and pointing out all the different constellations in the sky when they were sprawled out on the roof of Usnaviâs apartment building at night. He was also the one responsible for her brief Star Trek phase in fifth grade.
Secondly, they were both shy as fuck. Usnavi would turn tomato red even if he felt the slightest bit flustered, and Vanessa got unnecessarily riled up over the tiniest of things. The two of them were made for each other.
And last but not least, the two idiots were very much in love with each other, which brought her to the situation at hand; she was spying on Usnavi and Vanessa from her dadâs dispatch. There was a clear view of the bodega from the dispatch booth, and Nina could see Usnavi awkwardly flirting while Sonny bagged Vanessaâs purchases. Benny, from where he was directing traffic, pulled down his headphones and grinned. âLook at them,â he said. âSo in love, yet so oblivious. I feel like I should step in; speed the process along, you know?â
âDonât!â Nina exclaimed. âLet true love run its course.â
Benny shook his head, a goofy grin on his face. âSomeoneâs been reading too many romance novels,â he teased. âShut up,â Nina said, but she was laughing. âThose two dorks need to get their act together,â Benny sighed, leaning back. Nina turned back to her book (War and Peace), but couldnât focus for long.
âMan, Iâm going to be gone for most of the year when Iâm at college!â Nina groaned, slamming her book down. âIâm going to miss their relationship evolving and all the awkward flirting.â
Benny guffawed, earning him a dirty look from Kevin Rosario, who was sat in his office. Benny shot Kevin an apologetic glance; Kevin gave him a gruff nod in return.
âIâll keep you updated, as long as you call me once a week,â Benny said, holding a hand out. Nina took Bennyâs hand and shook it with a giggle. âThanks, Benny. Tell me about every little thing that happens, you hear me? If you donât, Iâll tell my dad about what youâve got underneath your desk.â
Benny had a secret stash of⊠interesting magazines which Nina had unearthed on accident last year when she was helping her mom spring clean. âAlright, Missus Rosario,â Benny said, saluting Nina with a blush. Nina rolled her eyes. âJust because my dadâs your boss doesnât mean that you have to call me that,â Nina pointed out.
âWhatever you say, Missus Rosario,â Benny said with a wink, before handing over the dispatch booth to Miguel. Nina chuckled and turned back to look at the bodega; Vanessa had left, and Sonny was laughing, clapping his older cousin on the back.
Her eyes darted over to the salon, where she saw Daniela and Carla hovering over an annoyed-looking Vanessa, who was drinking coffee (which Nina guessed was on the house.) Ninaâs eyes darted back inside the dispatch. Her dad was seated in his office, and her mom was yelling at the jammed printer to work. Nina immediately jumped up from where she was seated to help her mom, who was close to smashing the printer with the nearest object available (which was the laminator).
Sheâd miss this neighborhood when she left for Stanford.

đŁ go WILD
Sawyer had only had the key less than a month, but tonight would be the third time that sheâs forgotten it since. Agnes had half a mind to ignore the pounding on the door, pretend she wasnât home, or that she somehow managed to sleep through the insentient knocking thatâd roused her from her slumber in the first place...but the little voice inside her head that reminded her that Sawyer had saved her from getting evicted guilted her into dragging herself from the comfort of her bed and to the front door. Only, it wasnât the blonde on the other end--at least, not the blonde she was expecting. "It's four in the morning. What are you doing?"

AUs I'm a Slut For
Sorry, these are also self-indulgent. Just some of my favorite tropes that really butter my croissant. I'll be using Barson as the example couple because they're currently one of my favorite OTPs rn. I'll add more as I find them, maybe.
Starting off with something I'm especially partial too, the Teachers AU. There's so much potential, especially with Olivia and Rafael as competing teachers.
Genderswap AU. When done well, I think these are pretty cool. Plus, a fem!Rafael would be so hot, I won't take criticism on that.
Vampire/Werewolves are one of my favorite things to write, and I'm just partial to Olivia as a werewolf, no clue why, but I am. Rafael would be a vampire for sure, dude's a total night owl.
Role Reversal! Lawyer Olivia? The best ADA who defends the victims with the same ferocity as a lioness protecting her cubs? Sign me the fuck up.
Alright, like a basic bitch, I love the Coffee Shop AU. I think because I worked in a similar environment, I can really see the potential for romance there ngl.
I'm a sucker for the Roommates AU. These two assholes would get on each others' nerves so much, but boy would they still go to bat for each other. Plus, Olivia is the messy one while Rafael is the clean one, I am Convinced.
My favorite AU since like 8th grade is the Soulmate AU. No matter how it's done, I just love the idea of everyone having someone that's nearly perfect for them. Or, on the opposite side, choosing someone else despite your soulmate. That shit hits different.
Now, the Triad Verse AU is also something I'm partial too. I've been in a poly relationship, they're pretty nice and stable if done correctly. Idk who I could see Liv and Rafael being with maybe Sonny or Alex, but I haven't given it much thought tbh.
The Harry Potter AU is a staple in this fanfiction community. You know it's a big fandom if they have this AU, even if they aren't everyone's favorite. I like them, but they aren't my favorite. Slytherin!Rafael and Hufflepuff!Olivia are the way to go though.
I'm gonna slip this controversial one in the middle. A/B/O AU is something I'm a lil partial too as well. I'm a sucker for that found family/pack shit. SVU is already like a family so it just makes fuckin sense to me. Also Alpha Olivia is lowkey hot ngl.
Alongside number 9, the Grey's Anatomy AU is also very popular. I don't think I've seen one in the SVU archive, but I definitely think it'd be worth writing. Rafael would make a nice Alex Karev, I think.
I don't see this one often, but the Bookstore AU. Rafael owns a bookstore and Olivia is his favorite customer, so he buys books and shit he knows she'll love and displays them v close to the door just for her. I just think he's a teddy bear underneath all the grumpiness and trauma lmao.
Crime AU. Now, this is like essentially the same as a Mafia AU in my unprofessional opinion. I like the thought of Mob Boss! Olivia and her lovely ADA husband.
The whole Flower Shop/Tattoo Parlor AU? That shit will always be one of my top ten AUs. Olivia runs a tattoo parlor and knows absolutely nothing about flowers, so when Rafael tries to confess his Feels through flowers she's completely clueless lmao.
High School/College AU. Now, as someone in high school, I don't wanna read about it. On that note, I still like the dynamics that this AU gives the characters. I just know Olivia is the mysterious brooding bad girl and Rafael is like that loner nerd who never takes his earbuds out. Yes, I'm projecting.
Magic AU. I feel like this would make the SVU job a lot easier to the point that it just fixes everything, but it also adds and interesting subplot so I can usually be convinced to read these. Rafael uses his magic to make the perfect cup of coffee.
The Pen Pal AU is interesting to me, but I rarely see it done in a way I actually enjoy, which is unfortunate. I think this would be cool in a high school AU where students are writing to another classmate, but don't know who, and Rafael gets Olivia.
SVU is already a Single Parent AU, but like, still. It's a cute ass trope that hits all my buttons of found family and gross domesticity lmao.
I love superheroes, and villains, so the Superpowers AU is dope. I think that would be a cool element in so many fandoms. Olivia would have a physical power whereas Rafael would be mental. I have no clue what, it's just a vibe I have.
I adore end of the world style movies, so the Zombie Apocolypse AU is pretty cool imo. Whether it's a crossover or the end of their world, I'm usually interested. I think the characterization of Olivia and Rafael would be cool to see in such a setting ngl.

MASTERLIST
"You can't expect me to believe this!" James was looking at you with his mouth agape and exaggerated wide eyes which made the conversation slightly more embarrassing than it already was.Â
"5 minutes till midnight!" Sirius announced from a table with several bottles of champagne by his side.Â
"Well, you should. I'm telling the truth!"Â
"Y/N!" he shouted in a serious note, as if he was trying to decide whether you were lying or not. Your ears were burning. Someone hex me right now.Â
"James!" you answered - this was like a bad version of the Marco Polo game.
Something in your eyes convinced him of your honesty. "You have never been kissed on New Year's Eve!" he gasped with such amazement that you didn't have the heart to reveal that, in fact, you have never been kissed by anyone on any other occasion - you still needed that remaining bit of dignity. Well, not a real kiss, that is. The only time you have ever kissed someone was on a game of spin the bottle in 3rd year, when you and Remus shared a very awkward one-second kiss, that James never forgot to bring up every other day.Â
"Why is it such a big deal - I don't need a kiss to have a lucky year! I can manage fairly well on my own, thank you very much!"Â
The whole Gryffindor Common Room was buzzing with chatter, clinking glasses and loud music. New Year's Eve meant a great deal to gryffindors, whether it was for the booze, the games or the chance to kiss your crush at midnight.Â
You could proudly say that your presence was owed to none of the above, but rather to the persistent demands of your best friend, Marlene. Not that you didn't love a good party - it's the opposite, really. The only problem was your low intolerance to alcohol; three big gulps of beer were enough to make you the talk of the school for at least two weeks. And with Marlene and the marauders by your side, the chances of that to happen were outstandingly high.
"It's a matter of principle, it's about the neediness of human nature, about their need for closure and contact in order to feel full and satisfied! It's about the idea of knowing that you have emotional support!" he declared passionately with a hand over his chest.Â
"So, people are horny and they need to kiss other people for them to feel valid and worthy?" You scrunched up your nose in disgust. "That's messed up!"Â
"It's love, Y/N! It's not supposed to make sense, it's like magic!"
"You sound like a cringy girl from a romantic muggle movie!" You snorted.
"You're incredible!" James sighed, disappointed. "Alright, I'll show you, you'll see!" Soon enough, a gigantic clock appeared over the fireplace starting the New Year's countdown.Â
"9âŠ" People were chanting joyfully.Â
"8âŠ" You could feel James' stare, but you kept your eyes glued to the clock.Â
"7...6âŠ5âŠ" You sensed him inch closer.Â
"4âŠ" He spun you around and cupped your cheek.Â
"3âŠ" You were lost in his eyes. They were an infusion of spring and autumn, a melt of fiery leaves and honey.Â
"2⊠1!" His soft lips met yours, and you could hear fireworks erupting outside the castle. You felt your soul implode. The kiss was shy, yet passionate. His hands were slowly grazing your back while yours found their way to his dark curls. It felt right - perfect, even.Â
Even though it was your first kiss, you knew it was the best you'd ever have. Everything was easier when you were with James, everything felt at peace. You pulled apart when you ran out of breath, still longing for more. Your whole face was on fire, and you let your forehead rest on his.Â
"Here you go. Wasn't that bad, was it?"Â
"Eh- t'was alright." you joked, trying to sound cool. You laughed nervously, though you were pretty sure it sounded more like a squeal. Great.Â
"Do you think Lily saw it?" Something in his voice made you realise that he wished she did. You were just a puppet in his cruel play. Your heart wrenched a little, but you managed to hide your pain.Â
"Don't know. I haven't seen her tonight." You were his friend. That's all. The kiss meant nothing for him, and that was okay.Â
Just great.Â
"I think imma go check on Marls." you said, trying to hold your tears back. "Thank you, for the kiss." you exclaimed sarcastically, though James didn't seem to notice. He nodded absentmindedly, his eyes already on a certain red-head.Â
Oh, you were so stupid! How could you let this happen? A wave of nausea washed over you while the knot in your stomach kept pulling at your insides.Â
You made your way through the sea of people, right where you knew Marlene would be. There she was: lounging on the couch next to Sirius, drinks in hands, talking about Merlin knows what. You suddenly felt very bad to disturb your best friends who were both clearly having a great time, so you quickly turned the other way.Â
"Y/N!" Marlene shouted. Shit. You quickened your pace, only to hear her shouts over the music. "Y/N Y/L/N stay where you are or I swear I'll knock you down!"Â
You continued to walk but stopped when you saw James and Lily a few steps ahead. She was laughing while he was whispering something in her ear. Lily spotted you and smiled teasingly. You took a deep breath. Defeated, you turned and saw Marlene's tall figure facing you. "What happened? Why are you crying?"Â
You haven't realised that until she asked you. Good thing that James was too busy fawning over Lily to notice.Â
Marlene didn't wait for an answer to take your hand in hers and lead you back to your dorm. She pulled you in her arms while you finally let your tears fall. You felt pathetic; how could you believe he would actually like you the way you did?Â
You told her everything apart from that unbecoming smile Lily gave you. They were also friends, not as good as you two were, but you didn't want to stir up any arguments.Â
You and Marlene have been best friends for over six years. You used to be quite an introvert, whereas Marlene was cocky enough for the two of you, so she made it her goal to get you out of your shell. And she succeeded - even too well, some would say.Â
And as for you and Lily, things were - you guessed you could call them decent. Neither of you made any effort to be besties, as Lily made it quite clear she didn't like you. However, you managed to become acquaintances for the sake of your friends'.Â
"Y/N! What is our number one rule?" she asked when you finished.Â
You sighed. "Bros over hoes."Â
"I will never put a boy over our friendship, Y/N. You come first. Especially when you have a problem."
"Okay, mother." you rolled your eyes. "I should've drank the damned firewhisky. It would have been a far better alternative to get shitface drunk than deal with all this."Â
"You're right." You glared at her. "What? You really are. That just proves my theory further: technically, alcohol is a solution."
ĂĂĂ
Naturally, the odds haven't been in your favour, and Lily and James were closer than ever. You would be lying if you said you were happy for them.Â
"Now, Y/N/N, that's just cruel!" Marlene said with her mouth full, spitting half of her breakfast on you. Then, she silently handed you a napkin. You gave her a nod of thanks. "I mean, I get it, you are a tad bit jealous, but that's understandable!"Â
"Am not!" you defended. "I'm happy for my friend for finding his love." You choked that word out. "Okay, I might be a tiny tiny bit jealous but that's not the case right now! I just don't understand his choice!"Â
"Ah⊠here goes that 'he could've had all this but he chose that' speech..." Marlene sighed.Â
"Yes- I mean no! That's not what I mean! I just don't like Lily!"
"I knowâŠ" she said regretfully. "She is a good friend to me, really - she's not that bad. I know you two had your problems, but⊠Wait, what are your problems exactly?" she squinted her eyes in confusion. "You've never told me the real reason you two don't get along."Â
"WellâŠ"Â
"Good morning darlings!" Sirius interrupted, plopping down next to Marlene.Â
"Good morning to you too!" James chirped with a sheepish smile plastered on his face. He sat next to you, hugged you and you could swear you heard him squeal.Â
"Well, someone seems to be in an awfully good mood this early in the morning. Waddup?" you ask, popping the 'p'.Â
"Someone got back to the dorm very late last night after having spent the entire day with -"Â
"LILY-FLOWER! HERE!" James got up and waved frantically towards her. She furrowed her brows when she spotted him next to you and you quickly averted your gaze.
"Hello there!" she smiled, sitting down on the other empty spot next to James. She took his hand in hers and glanced at you. You rolled your eyes.Â
"Is there something wrong?" Lily asked innocently.Â
"Nah, everything's alright." Just my back hurts a little... from all the stabs. The intensities of your stares could burn holes through each other's bodies.Â
"Y/N, have you finished your DADA essay? I think it was due Wednesday and I haven't written a word!" Remus cuts in, sensing the tension. You made a mental note to thank him later.
ĂĂĂ
"So what was all that about?" You were in the library "helping" Remus write his essay - in reality, you were munching on his chocolate while he was reading.
"What?" You decided to play dumb, hoping he would drop the subject. Remus leaned in his chair and rubbed his eyes. It was too early for any of this.Â
"Your 'friendship' with Lily." he air quoted.Â
"There's nothing wrong with usâŠ"Â
"Oh, then let me call her here and make friendship bracelets together!" he mocked. "You almost hugged to death out there!"Â
"Quiet!" you heard madam Pince's high screech.
You let your head fall in your hands. "Is it so obvious?" you whispered. He gave you the are-you-kidding-me face and you groaned.Â
"Fine! The truth is that I don't know why she hates me! I've tried to be her friend for so many years, ever since she became Marl's friend - and she rejected me every single time. Not to mention that she has never been the nicest to me. And now she acts like I drop-kicked her firstborn and I'm sick of it."
"So nothing happened?"Â
"Nothing that I know ofâŠ"Â
"HuhâŠ" It was clear he expected somewhat of a greek tragedy. You glanced at the clock and cursed, you were running late to class. "Remus, we gotta leave."
You both got up in a hurry, stuffing parchments and quills in your bags. "Potions?"
You checked the time again. "In five minutes."Â
"Shit."Â
You sprinted down the halls of Hogwarts, going on every shortcut you knew. You reached the classroom faster than ever - seriously, you mustâve broken a record.
"What time is it?" Remus asked, a bit out of breath.Â
"10:04" you managed to say.Â
Remus knocked on the door while you struggled to keep an upright position - you had to admit that you were a bit out of shape.Â
"Ah, Remus and Y/N, I was beginning to worry! Everybody is late today! Do you happen to know about Potter and Lily's whereabouts?"Â
"No, sir."Â
"Probably in a broom closet." Sirius said between coughs. Slughorn decided not to hear this remark.Â
"Very well, then find your seats and get your books out." You hurried towards the empty desk behind Sirius and a now-seated Remus. Where was he?Â
"Now, as I was saying. I prepared some concoctions this morning which you can find on your desks. Any ideas what these might be?"Â
"It's Armortentia!" someone from the front exclaimed.Â
"Excellent! Now, this is the most powerful love potion in existence. It causes a powerful infatuation or obsession from the drinker. Despite its power, Amortentia doesn't create actual love; it's impossible to manufacture or imitate love."
You were already growing tired. "Miss Y/L/N, you seem awfully relaxed. Care to reveal what scent do you smell?"Â
Your head shot up from the desk, trying to remember the question. You were ready to ask the professor to repeat it when you saw Sirius pointing to his nose and then to the potion.Â
Thanks, you mouthed and Sirius winked.Â
"I smellâŠ" you started, closing your eyes and sniffing the liquid.Â
"I smell gingerbread, old books andâŠ"...James. You quickly opened your eyes as the realisation dawned onto you. "... musky cologne."Â
"Wonderful, miss Y/L/N! Now, in the hour that remains you and your desk mates will have to brew an acceptable vial of Amortentia, helped by the example before you and of course, your books. So, open the books at -"
A loud knock interrupted Professor Slughorn. He turned his head just as James and Lily barged into the room all giggly and blushy.Â
"Excuse us, professor! We had some urgent Prefect duties!" Yeah, right.Â
"You are a tad late, I'm afraid. Oh well, you may come in, I've just finished the instructions for today's lesson. Potter, there's an empty seat next to Y/N; Lily, you can take a seat next to Miss Macdonald."
"Hello, roomie!" James whispered when he sat down, wiggling his eyebrows. "What are we brewing today?" he asked. Why did he always have that stupid smirk on his face?Â
"That!" you pointed towards the tiny cauldron in front of you.Â
"Hmm - let me see." he leaned forward to look at it, then scrunched up his nose when he tried to smell it.Â
"Bloody hell, Y/N! Do you bathe in your perfume? And what is with this smell - lilies? Are lilies here? Well, besides the most beautiful one over there?" he nodded towards Evans.Â
You couldn't help but blush and look away. You were sure you didn't put any perfume on this morning, so that meantâŠ?Â
"We are brewing Amortentia, you barmy wanker!" you heard Sirius' wheezy voice, who was trying and failing to hold his laughter.Â
"Oh" James said, rubbing his neck. "Shit."Â
Shitty indeed.Â
You were in deep.Â

Top 10 Wells
I am going to put a cut for this so people don't have to scroll threw it if they donât want too.
11. Eobard Thawne as Harrison Wells
This is the only Wells I truly hate but I mean heâs not even a Wells so thats why heâs 11, because I felt the need to include him. But Iâve had enough of this dude. 10. Wells 2.0
Heâs wild. There isnât much to say about him expect heâs truly something.Â
9. Harrison Wells (The OG)
Homebody deserved better.Â
8. Harrison âSonnyâ Wells
Listen, we only seen him once but he was great. âBe Kind. Rewind"? Iconic.Â
7. Nash Wells
Look, Nash is a human disaster and he did kinda destroy the multiverse BUT he had good development and sacrificed himself so.Â
6. Harrison HP Wells
Okay he showed up, read a poem about loving bread, then when Harry told the Council of Wells his name said âwe already knew his nameâ. It was a great moment and it lives in my head free rent.Â
5. Sherloque Wells
It depends on the day with this man, but for the majority he was funny. I donât remember much about his plots but heâs still pretty decent.
4. Wells the Grey
I have no good reason as to WHY heâs this high on the list except they way I screamed why I first saw him. It truly sent me like nothing else. I honestly donât know what you expected from me.
3.Harrison Wolfgang Wells
This dude was a riot. We saw him a few times and very time he killed me. Also I liked his voice? Idk it just worked for me as a whole.
2. HR Wells
The only reason HR isnât number one is because we had very limited time with him. But GOD it was so good. His little drum sticks and hat? Adorable. Calling Barry âB.Aâ? Outstanding. HR was so soft and sweet and the opposite of all the other Wells we have seen. He was truly special.Â
1. Harry Wells
I love Harry so much. His relationship with the Team? Fantastic. Him and Ciscos relationship? It was great. PLUS he gave us Jessie so thats a plus. Harry had awesome development and I miss him everyday.Â

shows so thatâs the balanceand third quality is the window still awareness is for keeping the back straightand of course your hands on the lapis balance gesture balance to be the spine straight is the is that what I know so when is present fireand theand so you well your checking the posture on the way upand downand when read the possible is slightly improved bullshit slow to do so while youâre at it in the back as you scan your Paul shoulder from the feed to the on the crownand then you have this is the fourth qualities awareness so that is all about LOL how long carefully Perez not harried not too slow all the way you scan upand then just into universal scanning the on so youâre doing the posture to know each Paul shows this symbol of the poll showsand check correct the poll showing the quality of stability of the balance of the world to the awareness of the fiveand inside of an element so in this way scan your body upand down for good six loops around I call that one batter insert down up to see if every six surrounds take a short minute breakand then again sit in the Paul shows I leave you to it all for the first load of time keeping your posture in good order as you have all been guarding that from the last slow time though this time you keep old the stillness of the everything the body the days alliesand the bedroomand so on the third one live Brother is the stillness of attention this time your attention should be run abundantly for this on your breath so stillness means one point so you one point in ill knowingly in her see the oxygen coming old the healing properties all the goodness you can bring in rental is inspire in this with inhalation as the season goes into the chestand love just imagine permeatesand going to the bloodstreams it promotes a wellnessand healingand rejuvenates your whole mindand bodyand spirit with this mine hold the breath spread the breath in the chestand everywhereand then as you breathe out slowly bring up an intention six rounds after every six to take a minute break donât let the mind wonder all fall go doll the forgetful lazy to the Bolshevik stick the abiding in this really mindfulness on holding three stillness of the object environment the postureand the days allies know the full stillnessand this time is one pointedly focusing your attention not only doing would qualify round of breath but dutifully counting without losing the account without compromising the actual quantity so the quality of you all in breathand attention Brad accelerationand then count them at the end of each exhalation meant Tijuanaand to console up to say 21and itâs most likely to succeed to reach that without losing the Then take a minute break when you reach the 21 should you readand distractedand the whale somewhere segments around breath finish that been count night send this was still very focusedand attentive mindfully staying with the full were those counting of cold hole toand the do all the the home on all the old all so thank you for joining with the meditation of cruiser meditation is in Oakland is best done when you donât have to look at the screenand someone leading your butt look at screen your own mindand but because this time we are doing this guiding this meditation as part of our regular tradition so that todayâs topic of the talk is motherhood in Buddhism the mother in Buddhism so because todayâs a Motherâs Day dinner when this was injured using internationally but to the role of mother in Buddhism this is very important so I will try to address this topic all for remembering all motherand her kindnessand how to go all develop a consignment of some people have difficulties with the mother the need to reconcileâs because if they donât reconcile that is probably the many of the problems in life is the repetition of that is so in the context of I would like to draw give this dole in context of the four Noble truths to the suffering of the slides to the truth of suffering is the suffering that as we have faith to do with our mother colonial peoples so still suffering with the mother of the problem is to do with the motherand and the end I think her mother is the problemand so therefore that life is somewhat to somewhat damaged by that something else to do with the motherand parties shall mother has a role to do so thatâs the truth of suffering the truth of origin of the South suffering that one has with the mother is not reconciling with mother not to the paying kindness not realizing how sufferingand not realizing how signifiesand all being selfishand the not to the seeing what all Motherâs Day but we only see what we didnât get for my mother so this greedand self centeredness is the true origin of the suffering to do with oneâs motherand theand then them so the then the remembering the kindness of motherand so onand wanted to practice a consignment with mother is of course the truth of the noble truth of the path that because you will be able to try to practice righteous to choose with lovingkindness so much of the tall gone thatand hopefully they will be the truth of cessation decision is that there is no longer the same problemand anger is a Zen man then our children to to do with the heavens above with the mother but in the in relation to that first I would like to just go back to the Godand his mother when the Buddha was the widow was born when he was better which is why we called the consumer with year old it was just one week old souland young his mother passed awayâsand the so therefore Buddha was did not really have an actual lot of time to spend his time with his mother he probably knew that the chose to conceive of the timeand he did so nevertheless it is said that when Buddha was the meditating of the beach just before the couple maybe couple of weeks or days before his attainment of Enlightenment so the sum of the day was informed of the Buddhaâs mother who she has been being reborn in the heaven of the threat through them Godâs informed half saying that your son has deserted your palaceand deserve your husbandand he has not fulfilled her wishesand expectations of the per patternsand his wife that he has a abandoned the childand wifeand heâs now about to die of starvationand sold so therefore them in the mother from the accuses heaven the 33 rounds looks down he also could see the house the Prince about the is indeed the is a emaciated bodies become so thinand weakand sitting under a tree almost like a slug of minutes of Scott so she criedand wafted to sitand when she criedand said the teardropand blue those lapsand it is then the Buddha broke silenceand told his mother that her mom please do not to be ill informed by the day was but Iâm about to win enlightenment in the very shortly so I would visit so that is the storyand thenand not so long after his attending enlightenmentand turning the wheel of domicile enough he actually then visited us he told her in on the end of his disciples that he has to go to teacher his motherand then he went to to the heaven of threaded throughout God for three months three months to repair kindnessand revenge of the people of the Dharmaand other teaching to the heaven of the interim goals including his mother so thatâs example of how Buddha interrupted from his three months I wish AbbĂ© Scholz know me from this worldand then he wentand talked to the dogma to his mother so that is the life of Buddhaand so also goes with the I can remember that this is such a pundit the antigen century so that heand his mother was very illand cannot go suffering while largely the illnessesand could not spend a good nights sleep all day since very longand so onand also he was as a celebrated Buddhist monkand teacher she wrote this special style Jim will rebuild this is the book was called demo rebirthing but actually it was a how to entertain his motherâs teaching other Buddhists a pathand status of Enlightenmentand the soulsand subsequently his writing has become a are damn all boardgame in Tibetan Buddhism then couple of American scholars of Tibetan Buddhist scholars have turned that bull right into text called demo report in order to teach his mother to repair kindness sold the gray masses have have done a lot of great work so today Iâm going to really help you to focus on how youand I also as a as a as a child of our mother can best best learn to to approach the all all perception of motherand change by reflecting on heart kindness first for its itâs important to call my mother very lovinglyand very redand set my kind mother my kind motherand if you can say that youâre my kind motherand just try to see her face just try to see remember the times that she been very kindand does this remember the time that she had she she has she has become a very oldand then how much himand his suffering not from the day that she she conceive you all what must have how delighted Moshe have been as found a found a gem all all what ever so all mother from the very day that she conceive us in in in hot womb as she she was willing to forbear all hardships physical hardships emotional hardships as well as financial constraint is water whatever a professional kind of a risking to the sacrifice she had to make a lot of women when they become pregnant they basically have to have to give up their career or give up the positions than mothers or mothers have done that so therefore try to remember imagine old the what the what a physicaland emotionaland financial difficulties all mother wouldâve gone through the G June 1 time June 1 ignition timing me when she considerately conceived in in a mouse in her womb almost should put up with a hard life at the online so to speak she did put half live online so that she can that usand bring up bring bring bring up in this world so so therefore itâs very important to remember what what takes to become the to what takes to become a biological mother just carrying the baby for nine monthsand 10 days to be exact according the third but also wrote a very beautiful all time about about her confessing all the sufferings of mother who he knows that is partly due to him being is said because childand he says my mother you carried me nine monthsand 10 days in your bodyand the ever increasing weight of my body has completely sort of sag your bodyand jeopardize your other activities in life but nevertheless you put your live onlineand are used voluntarily accepted all the sufferings on all full photos to me to be born into the world then from the moment that the you will bond be up on even though we were helpless but she completely is no embrace all body with hot warmth of our bodyand clean the dirtand filled inand the snoband the old old you know whatever we remix every Minnesota come out a waste of my Bob orders she would clean itand wipe itand the anything to put in her womb armsand look at look at with a kind eyesand called with a very sweet namesand theand the that she wouldnât even even drink on warm food or drinks but instead she would rather she would rather delay them until we are totally comforted on Julia settle downand theand breast feed us old her physical needs into strength whatever strengthand energy she has even that she would rather let that do all the bodily energy of how she would breast feed usand that wasnât just for today just for today or one night continues for 2 to 2 years she should continue to hold us she wouldnât to go out even for a day even for couple hours is as we will be will more precious than hop on life what one of the debating places that we were treated as own piece of hot dinnerand the from which charcoal also ways to keep us from dangerand protect us from the coldand heatand it never would do to part from our all moment she would do all kinds of things so that the solid food could is not easy to swallow all the mashed with our fingers thingsand then try to feed us even though even though we are not corporative to to do that she fed us slowly you know that the that the weather whatever even though we can just lie down where reports she would not leave us alone she will constantly keep a watch so that she wouldnât dare to do anything for Hamas should become the constant care constant God closed in sort of a poetical like a herder like it is animal youâre constantly hurting them to become the most helpless the thing that highlight has found but most preciousand she therefore has it just old half signifies all to how timeand enjoyment in activitiesand interest but completely giving us giving us the to the foodand clothes warmthand the not letting us to face any hardships what whatever she would shoot even though we couldnât understand a single word she was still speak tirelessly many words our conversations one work one way conversation but she just just the way we look baby smile she would that were to the only comfort she has but she would constantly told conferencing constantly tell storiesand thenand not the mindand on hardships that she has brought us up in these ways that she doesnât have any time to do spiritual things to do Mondayand things all of that she riskand put aside but the tirelessly not just one day or night so that she constant her whole life become totally busy just to give him to bring me up so how could possibly can we can we forget all the Titus title is word that our mother didst just to give us bothand itand it realized until as far as we could Kroll even though we could crawl that wasnât enough though because she could she wouldnât because we can call now sheâs afraid that we may we may wonder off to those dangers placesand then stingsand therefore she would do she would not dare to part anywhere she would constantly keep an eyeand theand therefore make herself like a most dedicatedâs most devoted companion terrorand the endand the one who loves theand the seizures she she she could not depart for us even for a moment so all of how they relate to saved wealth all property shouldand did you use junior high youth she may have to do do additional job more than two or three jobs over all those that is a savings that she didnât day to spend she would buy everything that for our need for those clothes whether itâs a toys whether itâs us other necessities that we need for usand the whole body is constantly not losing strengthand energy to shapeand form what mention all the stress she would not remind us to the she would not mind to signifies any of that dispense to give to spell to us so that we we will not be the be called or hungry or thirsty or unattendedand and so on so all mother has has become basically oldand frailand and dependentand sometimes emotionally very depressedand tiredand sleepless but she still would notâs complaint are single word to us but she rather where all about those hardships willingly on on on ourselvesand theand the eventually she ourselves would have scored if some of us have for us all mother still alive then you would know sheâs 20 3040 years older than you probably in a nursing homeand theand theand how much attention she did when she has become now helplessand oldand and the end themand lonelyand need company that how much of timeand companyand things are weand have been willing to do so that those of us who whose mothersâ just imagine she has completely partedand left everything behindand she had to go to the on net uncharted territory of next live in the bottles over having having to carry all the that she created on behalf of us just to bring us up to much physicaland emotional that she she would have she would have to go through all of that she she she herself was parted from this physical world but emotionally older that she has created to bring us up all she has to carry like a burden to to go to those difficult places placesand and spaces so what we doing about is is we need to remember all motherâs suffering mother sacrificesand motherâs kindnessand how much since our early days all motherâs physical bodyand how condition had deteriorated due to illness agingand later on by death that even when half of any precious body still wasnât was a taken twos like symmetry or something you knowand andand all in those in the West because they they would put in a very shiny ball so you donât see that in the in the traditional they were there would still a lot of take the body into symmetriesand a letter letter to be deposed to decompose all eaten by by bio Wawa animals like vulturesand so on because been out even if all sing all the has all the pieces of body become so strewnand taken away by means but thereâs nothing she can do about that so thatâs thatâs thatâs thatâs our life so we have become rather like orphan who couldnât do anything we we would we may we made love all mother but we do can do a thing in terms of risk to half from suffering of all digital signalsand yet we kindness when you think about it is safe is the truth of the responsibility fell on us which many of you will as a biological mother if you have been your self mother just of the same amount of physical care emotional careand the financial signifies you have made as a mother you your mother would have made same if not more some people may have some sad stories of not getting the same situation but but even that these cannot blame your mother your mother is a and how on stressand hardshipsand difficulty were largely due to having taken up the liberty to give all of that to to awes so therefore we should still remember my kind old mother my kind old mother thinking that my own kind old motherâs when she has to part when she has to about that from these life she doesnât have any medics to take so much metal to take with us because of the all of the car and difficulties that she she she she she she went through are largely the note can be cannot be shared by you or shared with anyone else yet all the better that she created that are negative audit objects was largely her intention was just for the sake of all on alland all on being so therefore being able to think of mother is that in many send some of us would have no opportunity to to repair the kind his mother because sheâs dead already others some of use if you have your mother is still alive itâs very important to going to consult with us part of the reason that you all she was still very negativeand miserable was because you have any consult with your mother if you have any consult your mother that is the part of the problem but you couldnât really hold your your friendship with anyone else for very long is because you have is resentment to basically reflect everything as you did to to the mother to everyone elseand the certificate some goes with the father as well so those who consult with the veteransand the mother in particularand those who learn to be consult itâs never too late so so therefore todayâs a good day to the two how to how to go to consult with your mother at least tell half of that you have you have you have come to the moon your own selfishnessand the not being so grateful I have not been very courteousand apologize halfand even apologize all for the sake of peaceand Iâm not talking about a severe mother was a was was perfect but you didnât see how that red doesnât mean that your mother still was a human being every human being has has a lot of imperfect perfect characteristic as well as very good perfect a good characteristic so donât try to idolize anybodyâs mother anybodyâs motherâs everybody every mother has has horn on opinion about how child as well so therefore the everybody every mother would be perceived differently accordingly those people who who have the goodness to to see the motherand hot amount of the graph hardshipsand signifies that all mother has enjoyed it should do we should grow up right nowand notâs not sit on this very awkward point of view oafs is smokingand reflecting to the motherand hard treatment oath towards oneself as being non acceptable disrespectful whatever it is but even then we should now to grow that life is so shortand let before she dies going to consultand say Iâm sorry on Iâve grown to accept you a fix of you as you are rather than trying to make some negative comparison with others so therefore being able to remember all kind mothersand motherand see how much sheâs passes become old become sickand become dependent of the committee sadand lonelyand put yourself in our shoesand try to therefore learn to repack kindnessand so his mother weptand even in the 7030 could not bear to to to stay in a mall but he promised to the visitand he did he visited half a member both of those mother in the have the heaven of that the roundsand then then Dave spent all this time giving teachings to half so what is it that you can do to to repair the kindness of mother himand Bullock could say you know my mother wasnât there when I was young because she died a week beforeand after he was born so he had hardly known as a biological mother with this list onto your stepmotherâs up to go to maintenance stepped in she did thisand it becomes a stepmother because she stepped in to take over the role of my undatedand and brought him upand so on even then brother was in the top of that deliberately took all the way time to go to the the Heaven of 33 roundsand spend the timeand give the teaching so hence we have this Buddhist festival cope with the descending from the heaven thatâs is descending from heaven after having to spend time to repair the hot kindness in the know he could not repay kindness to his mother in the same life so you should not think itâs too late to repair the kind as her mother even say your some of your mother pasta way you can still goand do something because you read because we donât know where your head hits of our mother is reborn but is possible that she is still wondering in some solderand and she has no no one to care for no one to remember how so therefore it your will never go astray if you as a as a as a child who has remember eyes orphaned by the motherâs absence even though we read helpless agreement we must still remember how kindness who all mother these how much older all weekand she might be in the systemand even though we want to go looking for hollow shucking when Buddha could see where heâs mother is we couldnât not see how the could not call on themand she will hear so we are completely different vasectomy recording where the mother is couldnât call a nameand where she went on since a but nevertheless we should still can do all memories I remember hot kindnessand see how helpless we are now but nevertheless feel indebted to to remember hot kindness when you remember some peopleâs kindness then you definitely feel grateful to gratitude that we are able to seal all will greatly so warm up loving feeling will come from all hotand you have a loving kind loving feeling towards all mother then you would no longer presentand develop brood it will all all all talk negative thing some people of you have seen that all the big window here Buddhist about you remember the kindness mother repair kind of thisand I forgot I remember of any kind is my my mother did become very very hostile to the whole idea that we have to be kind to her mother of course these are some people have that kind of karma of not having had any pleasant experience withâs mother and that is also to do with so therefore we do is we should picture the bed we should try to try to modify the by by remembering such as Motherâs Dayand tried to light a candle or remember kindnessand tried to bury your egoand try to be consult withand think of their great contribution inand get to the kind of that she bestowed upon us even though we do not have even though many loving motherand a son of a childâs will close our loving bell juju goalsand conditionedand no one has freedom to spend the time ever with the mother all this you have to go when you least want to go away from her mother she you go away from how she went away from your souls so therefore how much she but yet she gets almost like hot has been taken out of our love alive yet you know we we have left off motherand she has canât see us say your mother is alive but she can see you because you are so busy youâre being successful or whatever but still what is success if you donât have time for your mother to success is jeopardizing your well being so your material to weld is successful people donât spend time with veterans old to seek all all on lonelyand then they leave it until last minuteand then theyâve been to have a lot of guilt of the colonial peoples depression is because they didnât do that the right things to the parents to the mother while they need them why they most pertinent time to repack kindness when they seekand lonelyand old that time what is you your success means she canât barely see you or spend quality time with how even when you spend time with our you donât you you are you or you donât do this Ted aspects to all speak courteously lovingly to the then then there is every reason for hard to be very upset so therefore we have to do to try to do the right thing to repair the kindness of parents while they are aliveand dead they are there one day you would be then when sheâs died or what ever you would be depressed for a long time peoples depressionand anxietyand the volatility of the emotional instability the mind so emotionally we is because they havenât really warmed up the heaven really done the real work will homework to do to to repair the kindness of oneâs wedding loving mother them every single mother mother by nature biologically is kindand selfless in front of do a child enter not to remember that the kindness of all oneâs mother is a great is a is of so therefore in Buddhist teaching emphasized motherand remembering the mother as the first practice not only the mother but see old singeing beings as mother not just from this life but from Paulâs lifeâs the difficulty that we have in certain people in the end in this lab is also buys lives motherâs beautiful witch with whom we have reconciled so therefore reconciling with all motherand and do not talk about how mistakes all hard wrongdoing but thinkable the sacrifice you made when you do that then you can see while someone elseâs nobody will be able to do that like my mother did to me so therefore I should be able to have the goodness to forgive her even of hot mistakesand who hasnât got mistakes in your sofasand also is a better window mother would have would have said if your sister for the same criticisms that you think about your mother what would you think say your son or daughter are all thinking having the same attitude as you have with your mother ones what would you think what you feel my children are so ungratefuland then she was completely it is same as your parent going through so the karma is very very escalating this off not reconciling with parents is very heavy it will really get you result it hasnât got you up so thatâs why the remembering the dryness of motherand and are doing something to her while she is alive make sure that your visit all the time that you spend is different than you really she really mixed to get to know that she have come to growand become strongand grown to become wiseand starting to really speak kindlyand lovingly to our small acts of kindness we should do a video visit to be very very sweetand short very very unimpeded by your normal behavioral reactionsand rebelliousness all over the child father tried to be very good consented to speak kindly thank how things give credit to offer all the things you areand you have actually thatâs true your educationand knowledge just noise financial independence where you are in love you would be there have not been all the hard work you did your parents did in your life being able to thing these will make our students made us to grow in the heartand therefore have you will even when she dies all even in your old as you would never regret not having be consult the better you will feel all it was a long journey but in theand Iâm so glad I be consult with my mother you always speak fondly of the mother might kind old mother you will speak to my Kino some people canât even said so the mother my mother but is assimilated that the that they canât even speak kind informed me the name of the mother so they donât say my dear mother my kind old your mother they donât it as they consider that they just they just have this only negativeand very vindictive identity is the associate that is a very heavy heavy and this will slowly not already what impact you all the behavioraland emotional problems if you have some emotional problems that rooted in that not not on the inability to do the conservative mother then it affected you with your husband over the wife all the gifts with whoever you are working with you always reflect them with that kind of resentment because that is what is is like a perpetuates negative perpetually negative things unnecessary guns of the positive if you create a positive to reconcile the negative was then slowly you will see the kind old mother even your own body your own nose you on our accent is exactly like your mother can see the how much of your bloodand your your muscleand your everything is the motherâs sweatand tears so therefore itâs very important to learn to repair the kindness to repay kindness constitute soon doing things lovingly speaking things respectfullyand feeling warm emotionand Mecca feel that youand us so therefore when you repair the kindness you usually do loving loving things you do generous things to do small things for hard on her own termsand donât question about who is right is wrong what would she will do is make a happyand if she remembers you making a hot hippie few times before she pauses a way that is thatâs going to beâs just so you knowand are feeling a remedy to all the problems in your self will also will it will latch to do the shift the amazing power of love part of kindness part of him even if you have referees in the Buddha for what doesnât need you need you need your good hard to reconcile with your mother sent in a lots of people of all have a very warm feeling towards him but with their own home with her own mother over the only major familiesand most closes one that treating each otherand estranging each other with some resentment over small thingsand let that grow a huge problemand not even talking to each other for days years months this is the biggest problem in the mutualistic Western societies where they they donât have the bond of loveand respect to the elderlyand barons for the hardship they have in Jordan that signifies the instant remembering them they remember few negative episodes in their life a childhoodand then lumber the bearand with that that is the trueâs true origin of suffering so here the therefore her to to reconcile with that one needs to practice kindness generosity toleranceand compassion with all motherand even if your motherâs note around still you can start to check attitudeand change attitude about how not from negative to nonnegative from the negative to positiveand then from positive itâs very warmand and as a result of that you will you have ever feel indebted to your mother said you have a good husbandand maybe have a good wife all maybe a good job but where would you get those things without your mother has a heaven given breast fed you once you cleanse you just wanted to do for all those years until you are able to do your own thing how many years it took before you become grumbly independent who did all the hot lifting to to be where you are so not being able to remember the kindness of motherand barons is easy is a laudable obstacle to to your spiritualand emotional upliftmentand and contentment have just gone Denman in life you really bit unhappy in life show old people have some disheveled but much of them has completed folk will have stem have stemmed from your not reconciling with your mother so therefore remember your mother only once a year on Motherâs Day is of closes it is a is a really really really delicious at issue remember the mother every day every dayand every day we should to think of kindnessand compassionand all the contribution she has made to your lifeand all the speak kindly about howand a repair kindness of your mother to your mother did not try to do some other people who also mother of all to the elderly woman who doesnât have children who doesnât get much from them try to be kind to them as slowly much so how many mothers mothers have been misunderstood by the childrenand have been completely estranging the never get a they never get about that than it was a happy Motherâs Day itâs a really despicable so therefore itâs important to repair the kindness of our mother as best as one can watch if possible to hire while sheâs alive to not at least someone whoâs near his dears to her that tell how the day that you have a consult with halfand you totally forgive how apologize offand would never thinkand talk in the negative way that you normally do try to make up some shiftand change it into youand your attitude about how one how one one thing so once a mother because if you have change your thought about your mother then you will you will have the cessation of the suffering related with mother if you have a consult with your motherand make peace with hall make peace with all theand then you you you will you will be much kinder to yourselfand other mothers as well because otherwise there is is a business amazing kind of a home view that you continue to hold that the regarding your motherand youâre not therefore thatâs thatâs the true origin of your suffering is suffering is not because you have all of the problems who doesnât but fundamentally not being able to having loving feeling towards your mother mother is is everyoneâs soles of real joyand happinessand gratitude majority peopleâs also join happinessand gratitude is the motherand show your husbandand wife sure that you met them only when youâre going to do a whatever what but who brought it up to to be able to meet such a wonderful husbandand wife all job or whatever so be considerate of all where you all to be able to get what you are you where you figure someone is a wonderful new life but your mother isnât you have not grown up at all so thatâs why itâs very important to effectively utilize this Motherâs Day not only a look at your motherâs photoand the spent couple moments to in front of itand meditateand try to express your gratitude loveand and if the necessary forgivenessand the thing and if sheâs alive give out a cold really do not wait anymore some of you have not called your mother you still think sheâs wrong all you think itâs your fold either way itâs a waste of time but tried to kill the time by pick up the phone while he hold a whole holder phone or something like that in your life that youâre not reconciling with your mother so therefore the part of lovingkindness it tools your mother can make yourself doubly empowered to be able to consult with your mother with your mother so thatâs why todayâs talks is not only because his Motherâs Day but also I was thinking because this is of a soft week they suddenly according to Theravada Buddhist calendar which most Buddhists are terrifiedand in the countryâs death celebrating they suckedand lost the tested is actually the full moon but some are still celebrating this weekand so therefore I was just reflecting on the Motherâs Dayand remembering about the Buddhaâs life soand also today Okamoto Bliss are celebrating this out according to this calendar so itâs very good to remember on that ice I said I would try to try to respond to your comments or questions online so if I would just come up to here because I havenât been able to do that in the past hello everyone a lot of you have joined the what British rider is my mother in this lie was not good mother did not show love is narcissisticand the now we are a strange area Iâve just spoken about Susieâs itâs a itâs in the mother that did that has been difficult to you the old half of physical suffering to bring you up to give birth to youand the amount of those time this should better than a half suffering was mainly many snowballed on top of not being whatever good mother we asked you but nevertheless she would have tried our best so do not to try to see her as someone who was meanand wasnât really nice at all you may have seen that way because body you are selfish to not to remember how sector flies what she made this you tried to think of the what signifies she has made what you as a daughterand if you have become a mother yourself you will know how different you have been maybe you have been a remarkable motherand you you just resisted resenting that your mother wasnât quite as good as you but how could you be such a good mother you have known to become good mother because her experience of not having had a good mother but thatâs your your way of explaining to her to yourself but in theand through my your motherâs suffering of not being a good mother has actually given you the birth to be a strong woman to give good sort of love shows childhood to your childrenand theand us while you might still have something to consult with a but to you should not all do anymore speaking to her but all were said to speak to her quickly really take couple moments in your daily meditationand the visualizer mother look at a photoand say mom look I I have been presenting in exchange you from all these years this is not good for me all will all Iâm Iâm happy to comeand talk to youand try to make a really good contribution without further delay to to talk to herand phone all right a very nice messageand try to make peace with half because when you are able to do that then then the suffering that we have the suffering that we have to do with mother is because not because she has been scores of suffering to you but because so suffering of youand your mother is has turned you to meet with Obamaand look at the teachingsand try to turn to compassion so your suffering has become cause of your compassion so your mother sending beingsand overage your mother is the primary person is a great catalyst for you to become where you are now maybe have become much more kinderand compassionate not to be as aggressive all not got kind of notes generous as much as someone may have been but the but nevertheless it has it has taught you how to meet with the Dharmaand no longer waste anymore time we all empathize each otherâs difficult.
