Okay so- Fairytail actually showed a few other designs of celestial spirits when they partied at the celestial spirit world. UNOFFICIALLY NAMED BUT SOME OTHER SPIRITS ARE SHOWN TO EXIST AND ACKNOWLEDGED BY CANON!!! Seeing as the Celestial Spirit King states 88 constellations, I’ll try only basing the amount to basically 88 spirits since it’s canonized. Although i think unofficial constellations would also still exist, I’m not 100% certain. (Also, I’m not sure whether or not to count the Celestial Spirit King as a constellation since idk what he’s based after, what the heck is he supposed to be??? He doesn’t count unless i know his constellation. CEPHUS IS THAT YOU?!!? But then if so he’s missing the queen Cassiopeia and princess Andromeda. So i guess not?)

Counting down all 12 zodiacs! Plus Ophiuchus! 🔑 That makes 75 down to go already!

Crux, Horologium, Lyra, Plue aka Nikora aka Canis Minor, Caelum, Pyxis, Polaris aka Ursa Minor, and Deneb aka Cygnus makes for 8 silver key🗝️ spirits! 67 left! Or more like 21 spirits shown!

I should note that the website I’m using apparently states there’s 42 animals, 14 humans, 2 chimeras (cross/mix between multiple creatures), 28 objects, and 2 nature. Now, Fairytail took the liberties of mixing up the forms and they can technically all shapeshift, which explains why Aquarius is a mermaid (half human half fish), why Aries and Leo and Cancer Scorpio and Deneb are all anthropomorphic human-like with animal features, while Capricorn and Taurus are leaning towards their animal counterpart with human-ish-ness, Pisces have both animal and human-like forms, Gemini are… something, Ophiuchus is actually supposed to be a dude holding a snake(?), and Pyxis is part compass and part penguin (i actually like that one because the north pole). Therefore! These creatures can be anything!!!!! Edit: my website is inaccurate because a SEA GOAT IS A GOAT AND A FISH COMBINED and for some reason isn’t counted as a chimera 🤦🏻 close enough

I’m also assuming there’s multiple types of silver key spirits because they’re 1: not rare because what makes the golden keys so different is that there are only 1 of each, thereby implying there’s multiple silver keys of each. 2: There’s multiple Canis Minor dogs.

Okay back to this. Starting from right to left: (not including Lyra because i already counted her before).

The crown is either the Southern Crown or the Northern Crown👑. I think it’s the North because of its shape, aka Corona Borealis. 22☑️

That blue-ish creature without ears- I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to have ears 👂🏻 but the word covered it up and so the animators didn’t translate that onto animation either. But there isn’t any animal constellations besides bear🐻 that could look like that creature… but if Ursa Minor aka Polaris is that giant pink robotic mecha machine… then how would this be Ursa Major which is the only other bear constellation? My only guess is that there’s multiple Ursa Minors, and this is one of the forms it can take. Because Ursa Major should be bigger than Ursa Minor, right?

That white bird with human head hair… it looks more like a swan 🦢 but that’s technically taken up by Deneb (who I’d add has black feathers). I assume this is another one of those silver key quirks where there are technically more than one, so this counts as another Deneb but with regular white feathers and more animalistic features. Or it’s the Crane, which sorta looks similar but it’s beak isn’t dark… hm…

The purple dolphin! 🐬 yes! Now that is new! Delphinus the star is a Porpoise which is a species related to dolphins i think!!! 23☑️

That wolf!!! Is a wolf!!!! 🐺 LUPUS!!!!! 😭 24☑️

The triangle🔼📐 is obviously Triangulum. But there’s another Triangle called Triangulum Australe. Idk which is which but they both sound the same to me 🤷🏻 (idk astrology). 25☑️

The chameleon🦎 is realllllll 🥲 Chamaeleon is barely a difference in the name 😂 but yay!!! He would be really cool as a secret spy operative that turns invisible! 26☑️

THAT CREATURE AT THE END LOOKS LIKE A KANGAROO🦘 BUT THERE IS NO KANGAROO. Might be the 🦊fox? But the lower mouth isn’t white… then again the colour is the animator’s job. 27☑️

I’m not really paying attention to the 88 constellations that aren’t animals so idk if there’s a turtle🐢 related non animal stars but Keya has a turtle star (although there’s 2 in panel). This might count regarding in the 88 or kinda counts as an outlier! 28✔️

Those two large fishes don’t look like Pisces?

But don’t worry! There’s 5 more fish🐟🐠🐡 stars apparently! 😅 the Volcans the Flying Fish, Piscis Austrinis the Southern Fish, Hydrus the Water Snake, Hydra the Sea Serpent, Dorado the Swordfish. Definitely not Hydra or Hydrus or Dorado. The Volcans is just one fish, but going along again with the multiple silver keys theory, then I think it’s the Volcans. 29☑️

Bottom left there’s another bear, but also a Giraffe🦒 blowing a star⭐️ shaped humoungus horn🎺. Camelopardalis 30☑️ there’s 2 people playing the piano but idk who/what that could be, probably 2 Lyras since they’re musically inclined. I’ll have to check back with the human stars later.

Edit because I just noticed it (the anime makes clearer): THAT’S DEFFO ONE OF THE WATER SNAKES HYDRUS ISN’T IT?!!??!!!?!! 🐍 31☑️

Plus there’s a circle face standing guy. Could be Reticulum the telescope net (google says it looks circular). Or the microscope or telescope! Idk. I won’t count it, too far fetched.

There were two food courts so this is the right table. On the left side of this food table: Another goose looking creature. There’s a humanoid with cat/dog/pointy looking ears on their head but idk what that could be. On the right side: two identical humanoids. A… banana with arms and feet??? 🍌 I HAVE NO CLUE 💀 maybe the air pump but that would be a terrible design 😭

This is the food table on the right. From the left side of this table to the right: animal (fox?), humanoid with horns, humanoid in a bikini, idk a pig???, a square🔲⏹️ face, animal (fox but shorter ears?), animal (lizard?), humanoid with antennas and wings, humanoid(?), a black cat(??), another goose/swan, a wolf/fox.

Square face could be Norma the Carpenter’s square. Or the way it’s standing could be the stand thingy that holds up paintings- Pictor the Easel 32☑️

Another wolf/dog🦮🐕‍🦺 (the jaw is shorter) which is probably Canis Major 33☑️ but LOOK!!! The BIRD!!! It could be Columba the Dove or Aquila the Eagle. Neither one has a tuff of hair but i assume it’s like that goose/swan with human head hair 😀 an aesthetic choice… but the beak!!! It’s curved like an Eagle🦅 34☑️

These ones are a doozy but I think I got it. From right to left: Another fish🐟 but it walks! flying and pisces the two are taken so this must be Piscis Austrinis the Southern Fish! 35☑️. If you look carefully, the text is covering up another dog. Since there is another dog constellation that doesn’t need to be big, I’ll claim this one as Canes Venatici the hunting dogs (although there should be 2 I’m claiming it anyways!!!). 36☑️.

These next two are the tricky ones because they’re objects but idk which ones. I know there’s a part of a ship stars which sound confusing enough, so I think these could be it. Actually nevermind, it kinda looks like a boring but weird looking cup🏆 Crater(?), or that vessel since that’s also a large cup Ara the Alter? It does look like a cup because to top part is rounded? Edit: it has a handle!

The left one could be the boat’s hilt🚢 or Stern of Argonauts’ ship aka Puppis. I’m more confidant on this one. That little guy really looks like the edge of a ship. Idk why it looks like it’s hiding inside that thingy tho it’s cute. 37☑️

Guy all the way to the left is some sort of goose chicken but humanoid like Sagittarius with a human face but fake animal head 😃 OH HECK NAWWEW NOOOOO NOT THE MAJESTIC BIRD NOOOOOOO 😭 The head has these tuffs that could only leave… Pavo the Peacock/Peafowl 🦚 HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO THE MOST COOLEST BIRDS EVER 😖 I REFUSE THIS CANON DESIGN EVEN IF IT CANONIZED ANOTHER CELESTIAL SPIRIT 😠 38☑️

The thingy on the top is why I choose the North crown from before. Because this crown is smaller, just like the Southern Crown👑 Corona Australis.

The anime didn’t exactly translate it properly, in fact it seemed to combine 3 panels into one. The panels of the Nikora with Happy and Carla alongside the celestial spirits we’ve never seen before. It leaves out the hiding ship edge looking thingy and fish (probably because a fish next to Happy doesn’t bode well 😅) and changed the colour of the Peacock to pink for some reason. This scene was moves very annoyingly in a way that I’d have to take multiple pictures to get all the details of just one each spirit 😠 grrrrrr

So yeah that’s the dog again but it looks even smaller in the anime than it did in the manga. But that thingy that I said before looked like a cup? It actually looks more clearly like Forax the Furnace! There a random skinnier top part like a chimney and the bottom part is bigger where you cook! I think. Now that I’m looking back at the manga, there’s clearly meant to be a handle on the bottom part of the left side. So this is most certainly Forax! The anime makes him look too fleshy than mechanical tho… 40☑️ and his telescope🔭 doesn’t look alive but Telescopium is a constellation too 👀 (I won’t count it for now…)

Another bird!!! This white one is probably the actual Columba the Dove🕊️ this time. 41☑️

The grey one… I assumed it was another dolphin or seal🦭, but it could be a bird too? I really wanted to show that thingy’s hat tho. Look! It has hearts 💕 and a tiny crown👑 on it! 🥹 very cute! But it’s hands don’t have wings like the bird next to it, so I think it is another dolphin Porpoise Delphinus. Last picture to analyze.

Idk why the (it’s obviously a bunny) rabbit🐇🐰 is in a bunny costume, but yay!!! Bunny in a bunny costume!! How counter productive. Lepus the Hare. 42☑️

See! You see both dogs in seperate panels! So, technically, i win with the hunting dogs 😌😏 hehe… Another goose/swan but this one’s cuter because it has a little crown and no weird human head hair or human face alongside fake(?) animal head!!! Actually 🧐 the under wings🪽are shaded/black like a *gasp*😱 A CRANE!!!! The beak still isn’t correct BUT STILL. THIS IS MY MOMENT!!! Grus the Crane!!! 43☑️

😃 WHAT IS THAT RECTANGLE RULER📏 WITH ARMS??!!!!!?? Aw mannnnnn idk guys 😭 this one might be Norma the Carpenter’s square although it’s a rectangle. Only because it’s a ruler tool looking thingy :( idk…

There was also when Scorpio cheated on Aquarius with a bunch of humanoid spirits, but I checked and it was from a filler that also got alluded to during an extended version of Lucy and Yukino’s battle under the Grad Magic Games. Not canon! 👏👏👏 Plus google says Scorpios are mainly loyal and passionate. Scorpio’s porbably the least likely to cheat. Also i guess the humanoid spirit girls could be unnamed stars too, or whatever, but still, it’s filler!

So discounting the canon known keys, there’s about 22 unnamed possible keys >:)

Lucy x Yukino relationship headcanons please.

Yukino kind of features as a mirror of Lucy for Sabertooth, genuinely a badass and powerful wizard but still overshadowed by the more chaotic or outspoken members. Yukino being so low-energy and polite means Lucy much enjoys her time spent with her and often chills with Yukino when she needs to get away from the chaos of Fairy Tail.

The best way I know how to describe the synergy between Lucy Heartfilia and Yukino Agria is that, if you asked their favorite Legend of Zelda character, Yukino would say Zelda and Lucy would say Tetra. They are frequently on the same wavelength and get each other in ways that surprise them both constantly. (another good analogy is: Yukino is the Vivian to Lucy's Goombella).

Yukino has always believed herself to be followed by misfortune, and this contrasts her greatly with Lucy, who was named for luck and considered very privileged growing up. This is not lost on Yukino who often refers to Lucy as lucky (and when they start dating, she becomes her 'lucky charm').

Lucy is like. Fully Unlocked Lesbian when she sees Yukino just chilling, like. The cute haircut? The blue rose? The feathers? She's gotta wife that girl up immediately.

Yukino has like 5 million potential suitors because she's a cute girl and this is Fairy Tail, but guess what? Not a single one of them measures up to Lucy, whose name is oh-so-famous in the realm of the celestial spirits. Everybody at Fairy Tail gawks that Lucy's oft-failing seduction tactics work with 100% effectiveness on Yukino.

Lucy, who has always bore a lot of respect for celestial spirits in the first place, still manages to kind of re-learn how mystic and powerful and awe-inspiring they are through Yukino. And by that I mean she damn near shat herself when she saw Ophiuchus for the first time. And the second time. And the third time.

Lucy does not let anyone even think of beefing with Yukino. You wanna look at her girlfriend the wrong way, prepare to be taught new definitions of the word "humbled".

Lucy and Yukino are the kind of girls to collaboratively decorate literally everything they own. Everything will be doodled on with scented marker and sprayed with strawberry perfume, among infinite other possible permutations to give their personal property their own touches.

NS/FW? Perhaps.

Yukino's extreme people-pleasing do-no-harm nondisruptive attitude actually ends up translating very well to sex. Lucy is definitely a princess when in bed with her which suits her perfectly.

Remember that thing I said about them contrasting each other and getting each other perfectly? Yukino is in charge of oral while Lucy is in charge of everything to do with fingers.

Yukino will literally bite into her arm before letting herself be loud or making any noises she deems undignified. Lucy thinks it's cute and will settle for making that girl's eyes roll back in her head.

Yukino is a queen and is therefore not to be tied up with anything less respectful than silk, ribbons, or finely woven gold chain.

Remember when I said that Lucy and Yukino decorate everything they own? Yes, that includes the double-ended vibrat*r they got. They argued forever over whether to get blue or pink, so they ended up getting a white one and getting different colored/patterned cond*ms to put on either end.

They always end up holding hands after their intimate times together. Every single time.

With apparently minimal effort (I do always forget I can text search individual works on archive.org), I've learned about the Madrian 13-sign Zodiac. I'm a bit disappointed to find out there aren't unique signs, or reinterpretations of the signs, but this is still interesting. This appears to have been an idea that was circling around the late 1970's pagan scene, as a 1977 book seems to explore this idea. This particular book can also be borrowed on the internet archive here. This book appears to call her "Queen of the Zodiac", and the Madrian source apparently refers to her as "Rule of the Zodiac", so presumably this book would have been the inspiration for the 13th Madrian sign.

A little further research turns up this page, which states that Arache Rising was written by Sci Fi author John Sladek as a bit of a hoax that took of a life of it's own. It's also worth pointing out that a more modern idea of a 13th zodiac sign has been introduced with Ophiuchus, but Ophiuchus is in a completely different place in the Zodiac.

Story: Battle strategy cards;‘Stellar Charm’ One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill

‘Angel Casablancas’ and their twin sister ‘Cassidy Casablancas’ are the reigning ‘Stellar Charm Card’ champions of the city. Why? From all the students and inhabitants of the city ‘One Tree Hill’ named after the ominous forest from which the entire town surrounds, the mythos and legends surrounding the condemned huaunted forest and tree upon the top of the highest mountain in the city seems to share a grim tale about a series of suicide that concerned the towns ever budding congregation that used to meet weekly for church gatherings at the foot of the ominous tree at the very top of the ecclesiastical tree, now condemned the fellowship now meets else where disbanded and scattered after the horrific events that were the result of students jumping from the top of the building, tree and mountain falling to the their deaths at the bottom of the city beneath the mountain. Walled off and forbidden territory as the signs and gates proclaim on the walls of the forbidden forest students constantly enter in hopes of finding the lost cards of a popular card game that once reigned within the town. ‘Stellar charm cards was a game of unique personal skill and talents that required one to sing, dance and use personal talents to summon your cards constellations the power from which the cards drew from. Unbeknownst to some of the students and card users, some had more than others and the more you possessed the more powerful you were compared to some who only possed two if only even one. The losers of these card games tragically forced if not pushed to end their lives from jumping to their doom amused the congregation leader who sought posses and collect all the cards. But the two twins, secretly would go from card user to card user in private consoling them and confiding within them in order to collect their card in secret, then adding their card to their book of protection, thereby spearing that student or card user from having to suicide. If one didn’t run the Forest deadly maze a deadly obstacle course of doom and make it out alive then there was no way for one to enter the condemned forest in hopes of connecting with one of the ‘stellar sacred tree’s’ one would find in hopes of connecting their soul with a sacred trees constellation of power. Thus, how the card game was born from the now candy factory that would harvest the strange fruits the trees would produce in order to create their sacred foods the town would consume in order to bring forth the unknown power within them.

Mostly since we finally found something about it in The Final Shape teaser; we will eventually get in there,there is a place inside, people can be in that place and one of the people we've seen in there is dead.

My first issue is that both Ikora and Cayde are in there; Cayde is dead, Ikora isn't. Yet. I doubt they would kill Ikora, so let's assume she's alive. How did she pass through the portal and how is she coexisting in the portal space with someone who is dead?

In Season of the Deep we've seen some direct descriptions of attempts to pass through the portal. We've known before that it was impossible since it was attempted right away, but this season we've seen it more obviously. It's part of the cutscene at the start of Season of the Deep and it's also narrated in a lore tab. I feel like they wouldn't be showing us this if it weren't important. It's simply not possible to go in and those that try experience very vivid glimpse of their memories and weird spacetime distortion. And then they're repelled back and die.

So how do we pass through? Well, what if we can't pass through physically... But we can psychically? What if we have to find a way to alter our state of mind or commune with the portal with our minds to transfer our consciousness in there? Something like how people get uploaded into the CloudArk; they go into deep cryo and their minds are transported into a place where they can live. Their bodies are not really in there, but their minds are. CloudArk is built on the Veil and the Veil was needed to open the portal. Hm. More under:

This would explain how Ikora and Cayde could be there together; Cayde is dead, but his consciousness might still exist in this place. Ikora would then enter by communing with the portal (or the Veil) and transporting her consciousness in there. Immediate problem for this is that we've also seen Ikora's Ghost, Ophiuchus. Would a Ghost also have to be transported in there in this way? They would have to be, since we've seen that entering the portal physically is also lethal to Ghosts. But Ghosts have already proven to be able to interact with the Veil (as well as with the Witness); when our Ghost was used to make a connection to it.

But what about the Witness? Back before Lightfall, we often speculated about the Witness' ... well, physicality. We've seen the Witness not really interacting with the physical world; it appears in visions, through the effect of shattered glass and manifests through our Ghost.

Appearing to Mara solely through visions in the Of Queens and Worms quest in Witch Queen:

Before coming to you, I sought information about the “Voice in the Dark.'” The Witness. What I found… well… You could say I was granted a personal viewing of our impending doom at the hands of the Witness—its poisons piercing my mind and thoughts.

Appearing to Calus in visions and through the shattered glass effect:

With Calus it was able to project the effect of hurting him by putting pressure to his head and even drawing blood, but once the conversation was over, we only saw Calus waking up from what appeared to have been just a nightmare. The Witness didn't physically do this to him, but mentally.

It also communicated with Rhulk in both visions and memories, forcing Rhulk to relive his past.

But what about the Witness at the start and end of Lightfall? At the start, we can see the Witness walking in the Pyramid, it exits the Pyramid, floats in space, flicks a wrist which slices through Ghost, Guardian and ship, touches the Traveler and then later cuts through the Traveler and opens a portal. These are all distinctly physical actions.

Season of the Deep gave us some insight into what happened in orbit from the point of view of the character that got sliced, Reed-7:

Reed activates manual targeting, reticle appearing on the windscreen. He tracks the shape held in the Traveler's beam—an impossible silhouette floating free in the void of space.

The Witness is nothing more than a sliver of dark shearing through a field of white, but even at such a distance, Reed can feel its eyes on him. A chill jolts down his spine the moment the reticle locks on. His Exomind throbs with the sense-memory of a migraine.

It's strange. Reed can see the Witness in the Traveler's beam, but calls it an "impossible silhouette." He also immediately knows the Witness is looking at him which he wouldn't be able to tell from the distance, and he experiences an instant migraine before being sliced.

The Witness' physicality may be limited in some way or perhaps functions in a way we can't truly comprehend. It may be merged with Darkness so much that its paracausality is difficult to describe or understand. It may also only be able to be physical when interacting with paracausal forces, like for example, being engulfed in the Traveler's beam. The Light's domain is physical; being touched by the Light could possibly give the Witness temporary physicality.

It's entirely unclear right now, but we can definitely see a duality of the Witness' interactions with the world around it; overwhelmingly it's based on the psychic connections with how it appears to people in visions and torments them mentally. But in this one instance in Lightfall, during the interaction with the Traveler and the Veil, the Witness did appear to be physical. Not only that, but it also managed to pull several Pyramid ships into the portal as well, though they did appear to be pulled by massive visual distortion.

It's important to note that while Pyramids are physical, they share a link through egregore which makes all Pyramids connected through the consciousness of Darkness. Eris experimented a lot with egregore and has a lot to say about it:

Egregore spores open one's consciousness to Darkness, allowing passage through fungal barriers.

This is one is intriguing for us here. Perhaps by communing with egregore, we can open our consciousness to Darkness and that would allow us through the portal physically? But that seems fairly simple and something that would be easily attempted. If it only boiled down to that, it would be easy to solve. Just grab some of the plethora of egregore we have at our disposal, get coated in it and go in. Would the Leviathan be able to pass through? Or the Glykon? Or even the Derelict, Drifter's ship?

And:

The egregore connects points of Darkness, resonates with Pyramid constructs, but I cannot decipher their communications. Still… the Lunar Pyramid, the Europan Pyramid, and both Glykon and Leviathan all converse with the same distant point. What Rhulk spoke to, so does Calus. It is… gravely concerning.

And when burning egregore and inhaling the smoke as part of the experiment in front of the Ziggurat on Europa:

The Ziggurat resonates like a tuning fork. The vibrations themselves take shape within the smoke, and Eris is drawn toward somewhere distant and empty. She follows, and the smoke swirls with points of color like stars, separated by lonely rifts of black expanse. Echoes radiate from the black deep like graviton ripples through space. They wash distortion over the stars until breaking against four other points—two greater, two weaker—ghostly strands of incorporeal egregore between them.

She then sees the Pyramids of Europa, Luna, and Savathûn's throne world—as one, their structures melded and overlapping. The connections cauterize in her mind like a vivid memory.

This bit in particular shows how "ghostly strands of incorporeal egregore" connect points in Darkness; the Pyramid ships, other places where egregore grows like the Glykon or the Leviathan and the Witness. The Witness is linked with parts of its domain (Pyramid ships, Glykon, Leviathan, and also the anomalies of the missing planets, which was recorded by Osiris all the way back just before he was kidnapped by Savathun; in his investigation of the planetary anomalies, he discovered that the anomalies emit tones which are identical to the tones emitted by Pyramid ships and the Lighthouses on Mercury).

The point is, the Pyramids may have been able to pass through the portal because they're connected in the consciousness of Darkness already. The Witness already controls them and is able to communicate between them and they're all linked in the same psychic space. And furthermore, the portal was opened only when the Veil beamed it; the Veil which is used to transfer consciousness.

The Veil is also linked with "first victims of the Witness" which was the subject of the first vision Ahsa gave Sloane at the end of the first week of Deep. I feel like this will be relevant in some way, given that it was mentioned in the raid as well as now. There was a species out there that fell victim to the Witness first, and they originally held the Veil. The Witness must've taken the Veil from them and then continued to chase down the Traveler all this time so it could open the portal. Why would it need the Veil specifically if not to use its consciousness transferring abilities?

The problem for fully understanding this right now is understanding the Witness, which we currently don't. We probably will at some point this year, but until then we can only work with what we have. So from what we have, I am proposing that the way to go through the portal will be discovered in the psychic, in the mind and consciousness, helped by the Veil which seems to be the source of these abilities; the same Veil that the Witness so desperately needed to open the portal in the first place. My theory right now is that we'll be going in there only in spirit, so to say, and not body.

Everything Ikora Rey knew about combat against lightbearers she'd learned in the Crucible. Though her current opponent stood four times her height, she was pleased to find the training held true. Look for openings. Exploit missteps. Don't overextend. A split-second lapse in judgment allowed her to land a bombardment of void upon her foe. The force flung the hive queen backwards through a thicket of overgrowth, into one of the many LED panels silently broadcasting evacuation routes since the last apocalypse. She crashed with a thud that rattled the floor and shattered the pane into a spiderweb of light and color.

She hadn't been killed, but injured badly enough to require her ghost's aid. He materialized, bathing her twisted wings in cascades of healing energy as she heaved herself from a prone position.

A temporary distraction that Ikora seized. On her own radiant wings, she launched herself at Savathun. Did something she hadn't been taught in Shaxx's training grounds — in fact, it was one of the only acts expressly prohibited under threat of expulsion from the City or worse.

She snatched the ghost from midair.

It was enough to disrupt Savathun from whatever trick she undoubtedly had tucked up her sleeve. Eyes fixed on him she lunged for Ikora; the warlock effortlessly dodged her grasp, running counter-intuitively toward her. In one fluid movement, she wrapped her sword-arm around the queen's neck instantaneously drawing a solar blade to her throat.

Silence, save the sound of their heavy breathing. The side of Savathun's massive, armored face pressed against the soft curve of Ikora's torso, the blunt horn at the junction of her jaw and neck jutted threateningly into her spine. Spiked pauldrons caught bond-side. It would take little effort for Savathun to pulverize her, leave her ghost with enough of a mess to escape halfway across the Arcology — or transmat somewhere else entirely — before she was revived. But she wouldn't — not when Ikora gripped her heart in her hand. Immaru trembled plaintively, wordless as Ophiuchus as his soulfire eye flicked between captor and guardian.

"Is this how we're doing it?" The quaver in her voice resonated through the edge of the sword, vibrating up through the hilt and into Ikora's hand.

"Any other way and I'd be dead."

"I've spent enough time around your Guardians to understand their idea of conflict resolution is resolving to kill the source of conflict. I vow my methods are not theirs."

The knowledge that Savathun hid in plain sight among the guardians of the Tower rankled Ikora, and though the irritation had waned with the discovery of her rebirth the feelings returned with this line of discussion. That she'd been able to mimic Osiris well enough that a lifetime of intelligence training had failed her was a source of professional shame (though no one else regarded it as such). That she'd opened up to her, student-to-mentor, made her prickle with a more personal brand of mortification. Still, she could not deny the value of their conversations. The means had been unspeakable but she believed — in spite of everything — that the intent had been true. Savathun had wanted to teach her; what had she traded in return?

She tried not to dwell on what classified information she had shared in briefings or strategic talks. What ciphers to herself had been revealed in hurried chats over morning tea in the Tower verandas, when they'd waxed philosophical in the lantern-light of the libraries. Maybe Savathun would crack those codes. Maybe she already had.

"Was attacking me your way of saying hello?"

"I wanted to escape, not harm you. Not in a way Ophiuchus can't fix." Ikora realized how warm and heavy the sword in her hand had grown, how weighty Immaru had become, too, despite barely weighing anything at all. "Exhilarating as it is to be here with you, no more stifling masquerades, finally free to be ourselves ... every minute wasted on this little moment of ours is a minute I could be working to stop it.

"We could be, if your priorities are in order. Or end me here and ensure the Light is extinguished. Your call ..."

Did they trust each other, or was this another game? She was not dead in an impact crater, and Immaru — though more terrified than she imagined him capable of — was physically unharmed. Judging by history, Ikora had every reason to believe that Savathun would turn coat, but there was a pressing sense they'd crossed a threshold through which the past had ceased being a guide to the future. She didn't know what would come next, but she knew Savathun yearned for the Witness' destruction, and needed allies more than anything.

Ikora drew the blade upward so that the point caught on the chitin of her jaw. Despite the other woman's size, and the wobble in her arms, it took little physical effort to lift her face-to-face. Like she was not only willing, but eager to go along. As they locked gazes, the muscles around her trefoil eyes bunched in a way that she recognized from Eris as a hive smile. A flush crept into her face, more scorching than the sun-fire in her hands. She prayed that Savathun didn't recognize how flustered she'd become — or dismissed it as nerves.

"Promise — no more lies."

"For you, dearest Vanguard?" Savathun crooned, tilting her head innocently. "The truth, always."

Ikora believed her, though she knew that, to a being who wove threads of reality and potential into wondrous, grotesque tapestries, 'truth' had a looser definition than most would accept. But most had not had a twenty-five match Crucible winning streak, nor slain ravenous packs of wish-dragons, nor resisted the call toward hubris that came with power of her magnitude.

On this wager, she released Immaru. Guided Savathun to her feet on the tip of her sword before casting it away in a puff of sparks.

"Where do we go first?" She asked, silently admiring the dreadful beauty of her companion, dimly backlit by the blues and purples of the arcology, eyes piercing the darkness like signal beacons.

"To find my sister," she replied, with a sweeping hand gesture that Ikora followed.

I finished Star Twinkle Precure last night!

WHAT an ending. I think they stuck the landing. I did not see the Ophiuchus Princess coming. Extremely Queen Nehelenia coded. I do remember a few years ago when suddenly the headlines were like "There's a thirteenth zodiac sign! It's Ophiuchus!" Technically I'm supposed to be one based on my birthday, but I'm really a Sagittarius through and through lol.

The ending also felt like a Doctor Who season finale to me. Everyone getting together, former enemies becoming allies, a universe threatening baddie who briefly gets their way but is then stopped by the power of love and friendship. I literally said "Oh, she's Sutekh! She brings her gift of death!" the moment Ophiuchus first shows her power lol.

And then Fuwa even comes back! Being something more than just the vessel for a ritual - very Fifth Element.

I also like how the final episode managed to fit in the "appearance of next year's lead Cure" and "timeskip sequence" at the same time by just making the first half actually a dream sequence. Hikaru the astronaut! We love women in STEM. Elena the interpreter and Madoka the space project manager both ruled too. Grown Lala has a cute hairstyle and Yuni and Eyewon are out here making Planet Rainbow arable!

I do have the movie and also a folder full of extras to dig through now, so it's not fully over yet, but what a great time I had.

Maze-Chapter One: What's Next Pt. 6

 “You really seem to like to pick the worst possible timings to interact with me.” Kurama remarked, not thrilled with being poked like this from an invisible cage.

 “Now, now, you want to save your friend like you wanted to save Kuronue. You don’t want history to repeat itself, don’t you?” Ophiuchus casually said, tongue clicking a bit on his end as Kurama’s eyes flickered from green to gold briefly.

 “I’ll be accepting the commission.” Kurama’s expression darkened, an expression he hadn’t worn since having to kill Gamemaster back in the day was now on full display once more.

 “That’s wonderful! I wish you the best of luck with the barrier.” Ophiuchus dug his own grave, not picking up on the fact he made a very costly mistake.

 “Yes…’Wonderful’.” Kurama hung up the phone, his horrifying brain going to work on what to do once Yusuke was back and how to locate Nibiru to pay this ‘benefactor’ a visit.

 There were two very simple rules when dealing with Kurama, one, don’t anger him and two, don’t drag his friends or family into discussion. Ophiuchus, unfortunately, broke both of those rules in one single go. For now, Kurama would have to bite the bullet for the time being as he made his way back to the restaurant. Everything seemed to go by at lightspeed in the restaurant where Kurama sat, thinking carefully on what exactly to do. Sure, he was most certainly getting that barrier broken into for the neighboring universe, that was going to happen. It was another on how exactly to wreck a primordial being like a fae queen for insulting the memory of both Yusuke and Kuronue. Sure, Kurama couldn’t fight like he once did back in the day, but there were ways, there have always been other ways of destroying a person in horrific ways. It was a very unnerving thing for Hiei to witness first hand, Kurama being silent like that and unsure what had happened when left alone. Hiei can already be certain of one thing, whoever got on Kurama’s really bad side, that person wasn’t going to be coming out of this in one piece. That one was a guarantee as Hiei debated about tailing Kurama for a bit, not wanting the retired thief to be alone to his own devices.

 The dinner went on as planned, the others taking Kurama’s silences as his form of grieving when the time came to part ways. Kurama had errands to run the moment he left the restaurant. There was a twenty four hour convenience store close by that had Kurama interested, mainly the cacti up for sale and some packet of sunflower seeds for starter gardens. Those particular items were bought in bulk along with plenty of cans of water for the journey ahead. Kurama was very lucky to still have his camping gear in storage for Obon at Genkai’s old estate as Kurama got his cellphone out once again to make a call to a rental company, needing a car for an upcoming trip. Kurama was now on his way to pick up a rental van to drive back to his apartment before driving it back home. In the dark, Hiei followed Kurama stealthily with his Jagan eye, growing more uneasy seeing what his old friend had been up to. Yes, it was still a stone cold fact of life that Kurama couldn’t  fight anymore, it was another to be armed with the plant versions of bombs and guns. Whatever Kurama had gotten himself into, he was clearly preparing to have some form of self defense in place to make up for the lack of close combat. There was no doubt in Hiei’s mind as he made the call to Murkuro to inform of his decision to sleep over in the human world, all to keep an eye on Kurama to see what he was up to. 

 Unaware of Hiei’s decision, Kurama spent the night awake in his apartment, preparing things he would need to carry through into an entirely different realm of existence. Kurama had to prepare some other plants that would be needed as they got woven into the micro braids in his hair, not just the cacti or the sunflower seeds. The calls were made and caffeine packed, Kurama was ready to go through the one thing he never thought he’d have to do: Steal Yusuke Uramashi’s body from a hospital. Objects were a far easier thing to steal from experience, never really having to steal a living body before, but there were always new things for Kurama to try his hand at. The sun began its journey back to the sky, painting it orange and pink as Kurama loaded the van with necessities. The plan was set as Kurama drove the van towards the hospital, Hiei quietly following behind.

 Hours had passed and it was soon a busy morning in the Kuwabara household. The boys were rough housing with one another as they got ready for their school day as their father made his way to the living room to get the news on. It was a normal daily ritual for all involved as the smell of breakfast lingered in the air, a smile crept on Kuwabara’s face at the relatively peaceful home life he has now with a wonderful wife and two kids that took after her appearance. Just as the news went through its cycle with Kuwabara getting up to get breakfast himself, the phone started to ring. Normally, Kuwabara wouldn’t expect a call this early in the day unless it was Koenma having to pay rent on the property, something that had been done already, or an emergency for their clinic. Concerned that it could be a client needing to come over to the walk-in clinic that he and his wife run right away, Kuwabara went to answer the phone. The sound of panicked crying could be heard on the other side of the line as Kuwabara honed in on who it was.

light abilities ; when she was young, ikora wished on an ahamkara for a teacher who would exceed herself. in this desire, she found osiris, and in osiris, she found the ability to bend light to her will. she experimented in ways that most would find unethical, walking the fine line between life and death. one day, she would be better than osiris. and being better starts with the defiant act of creation. though she displays all the usual abilities of a voidwalker and stormcaller, lately ikora has also been experimenting with the ways of the nightstalker. moving through the shadows, removing herself from others' sights— bringing all the best parts of the hunters to her arsenal. she has also attempted to manipulate arc energy, stretching it so thin as to become malleable. controllable. she does not know yet what this can be used for, but has high hopes.

recent history ; after the events of the witch queen, ikora has found herself falling into osiris' habits. her desperate attempts to keep those around her safe has caused her to grow distant, cold. the warlock vanguard exists only to ensure that her guardians are protected, that osiris will not meet his final death— that her dwindling collection of loved ones will not grow even smaller.
