Rhaenys will always be the true Queen. Her ability to see the bigger picture and her commitment to avoid spiteful behavior is something everyone on that fucking show needs to learn from. Knowing she had to be murdered for some moron rapist would-be king that shouldn't be anywhere near her throne will never ever sit right with me. Even as she marches off to her death she does so in stride and without complaint, literally offering herself up willingly. Even as she is disrespected by the man she loves, and has been faithful to all her life, in plain view for everyone to see. She still manages to show her husbands bastard more humanity and respect than his own deadbeat father. She has done nothing to anyone. She did not raise hell when her throne was taken, she simply accepted it and chose to hold no spite in her heart for her cousin. Opting for peace always, as a true leader should. When her daughter and son were taken she mourned alone, abandoned for six years by a cheating husband who claimed to love her dearly. Worst part is he did love her, but in the end he was just another man that didn't know what else to do but take from her without listening. In the end all she really had left was Meleys, and she had to watch her die too.

I'm actually so sick rn this is such foul work, we didn't even get to see her say goodbye to her beloved granddaughters. Or even a real goodbye with Corlys :/

They better make Corlys betray rhaenrya fully if they opted for aemond betraying aegon in the shows

Well in the book,after Rhaenys death,Corlys gets mad mad.He literally shout at Rhaenyra telling her that she was supposed to die instead that his wife and goes away,only returning when Jace suggested to make him Hand of the Queen.

Later Rhae will have him beaten and throw him in the dungeons because he defended Addam (his bastard son) and Nettles (another dragonseed) against Rhae accusations of treason.

But I don’t think we will ever see any of this,gods forbid if someone ever dared to dislike Rhaenyra or if she is painted as the way that she actually is in the book.

My favorite thing about this new fic I'm working on is that I get to write a very confused and grumpy Corlys who has no idea why Rhaenys wants to spend more time with her dragon than him, but he's definitely not upset about it or taking it personally at all, obviously. Which of course means I'm going to have a good excuse to rewatch Pride and Prejudice a lot...

Anyway, Ophiuchus is happening sooner than later because this is what my brain wants to write, though this snippet will come later.

Corlys accidentally rediscovers sea dragons, Rhaenys has to marry him because obviously her grandfather is not going to take someone else randomly getting dragons in Westeros lying down, it's a whole slowburn mess full of even messier politics and I'm loving playing with it. And Thea the ship's cat makes an appearance.

Let me know if you want to listen to me rant more about this plunny that has taken full control of my brain for the time being, or for that matter to be tagged when I start posting actual chapters. I can absolutely rant more. I really want to rant more.
