me and tartaglia playing league of legends looks like:

unfortunately tartaglia plays all the champs I dislike. mainly: mid lane assassins. kills squishy champions in the blink of an eye. he's a zed and akali main, with the occasional talon that can get flexed to jungle when he's filled. ew. stinky.

he's scary good at this game. high elo for sure, at least grandmaster every season but if he grinds he'll hit challenger.

and then there's me. platinum support player with my girly enchanters and mages >u<

I refuse to let him rank with me on my main because I won't let him carry me hmph I will earn my rank myself!! he always teases me and tries to let me rank with him on main but he actually is proud of me for climbing on my own hehe

we have alt accounts that we duo on. I either drag him to bot lane and he'll play samira, kai'sa, or aphelios while I support him, or he'll jungle while I play seraphine, syndra, or lux in mid lane

games are so fun with him c: we have very good synergy and get so silly sometimes, kill stealing each other without getting upset. or we'll flash in base before game starts >.<

he never responds to toxic chat messages when he's playing solo (because he's locked in and would rather just skill diff the trash talker)

but when anyone says a bad thing about me? he gets so mad. types the most creative insults yet somehow escapes from being banned. if it's an enemy, that enemy is going 0/20 and all 20 deaths are from me or tartaglia. he'll also keep checking in with me to make sure I'm okay and that what they're saying isn't getting to me <3

he's also so good about coaching me when he notices there are some things that I can do differently to play better hehe.

when I make a sick play like land a four person seraphine ult or flash lulu ult him?? he goes nuts LAKSDFJDFJJ drops a good girl and it's gg for me

First impression: "Lmfao. Already love this dude." I saw him first in Awakening and i still love his character intro there so much fjsdljdfl. His animation/body language and the "wans't me." when the Warden runs into him is very fun.

Impression now: Literal embodiment of poor little meow meow. Kind of an ass but one of the most intriguing characters in the series. The fandom does him dirty by woobifying him

Favorite moment: Well again, love his DAA intro lol, but his DA2 intro also kicks ass. The way he's immediately ready to throw hands if sb threatens the clinic... kind of sad, really, but also very badass

Idea for a story: .. wish i had one :') Would love sth about his youth and his time in the Circle & with Karl, or his POV in Amaranthine.

Unpopular opinion: I do not like his romace. And before yall come at me fkldjsl, i mean it as in, i don't like how it is framed? Like. I think the romance is super intense and intriguing! But imo it does not feel healthy at all in the way that it is portrayed (especially the rivalmance, but i have gripes with rivalmances in general), and I wished the games would treat it more as "Anders (and potentially Hawke) are Very Unwell and not treating this relationship the way they should, rather than "this is fine :)"

Favorite relationship: Justice! For obvious reasons, i am sure xD Truth be told i am not the person to turn to abt meta or hcs about them, but i do love

Favorite headcanon: As said above, basically anything to do with him and Justice. Absolutely love seeing different interpretations of how they interact post possession. Also sth that is practically canon to me, but i love the HC that Hawke (regardless of romance) lets him stay at their estate for refuge, and/or lets him use the expansive basement as an extension to his clinic (ik the entrance being right beside the clinic doesn't make much sense lol, but also: Kirkwall canonically has elaborate tunnel systems under the surface, so why shouldn't there be one that leads up to the Hawke estate?)

Meredith

First impression: This is the bitch??? Who allowed you to have a badass intro ftw. More composed and polite than expected. (re: her Actual Intro Scene, i know she's present behind the scenes right from the start)

Impression now: Love to hate her. Themes. Narratives. Still a bitch tho.

Favorite moment: Well. Her intro was cool xD DA2 has a way of doing that. Also cannot deny that her going batshit with that red lyrium and animating the gallows statues was pretty damn cool.

Idea for a story: Meredith POV from anywhere in Act 2 onwards. Yes it's easy to assume what she was doing and why but i wanna Know. I wanna look into her brain.

Unpopular opinion: Hmm dunno if i have one? Idk if this is unpopular but i think the very direct and very personal power she has over Hawke and their immediate surroundings makes her feel more threatening than either Loghain or Cory

Favorite relationship: Well. Hawke. Unsurprisingly xD Biting them like a chew toy.

Favorite headcanon: Hmm drawing a blank on this one rn x'D Might come back to it when i think of one dsfjdf

If it's not too spoilery, what did Pat and Sylv's life look like before the amnesia? What was their daily routine, what did they do for fun when not investigating, etc? If that is too spoilery, imagine the two of them thrown into another setting. Maybe they won a tropical vacation or got snowed in for a weekend. How do they react? What do they enjoy or hate about the experience? Add as much detail as you like!

I’m not always the best judge of what is and isn’t a spoiler, so i’ll go with option two!

Pat is a bit of a workaholic, but if there’s one thing that could stop them from working, it’s a snow-in. They’re a perfect excuse to goof off and make your roommate play board games and ttrpgs with you.

Which is exactly what Pat will attempt to do.

Sylv is really quite freaked out about getting snowed in because what if they DIE. Sylv doesn't want to freeze to death and die! So Pat and Sylv will have several long conversations about how they aren't going to die, yes even if the power goes out.

The stove in pat's house is gas, so even if the power does go out, they can at least get some tea going for the two of them to drink while they play.

They agree to play a game by pulling a handbook out of Pat's Ridiculously Tall Stack of TTRPG Handbooks at random.

It's... Trauma Game's Murderous Ghosts.

Well. They'll give it a shot.

For some reason it isn't very good on Sylv's already frayed nerves. Go figure.

So once Sylv taps out of that they decide to do some board games.

Underwater Cities and Magic Maze are pretty fun, and eat up quite a bit of time.

There's no way that Pat didn't hear about a snow storm and decide to stock up on supplies just in case, so they've got plenty to eat. And if the power/heat is out Pat almost certainly sets up their outdoors tent in the living room so they have a smaller space to keep warm.

They play games, read books, and Pat stays very calm even if they don't feel it, because they don't want to set Sylv off.

Eventually Pat will convince Sylv to play another ttrpg. At which point they will play Tin Star Games' Partners, because Pat has been trying to get Sylv to play for months, and they finally have a captive audience.

Overall, it's not a horrible time. Stressful? Yes. But not terrible.

Though they're both happy to get outside and breathe some fresh air once they're not snowed in anymore.

Do you have favorite actors for the various roles in "Cyrano de Bergerac"? I would love to hear your thoughts!

I do! I actually rambled a lot about this while I was watching the different productions I could get my hands on (I tagged it "Cyrano de Bergerac" and "I talk too much").

My favorite productions are the one with José Ferrer and the one with Benoit Solès, and those actors make the best Cyranos in my opinion. Though that's probably something in part beyond the actors' choice, their dynamic with their respective Roxane and Christian are the best ones, I think, and I find how Cyrano moves around these two particular characters at the core of a good Cyrano characterisation.

José Ferrer's use of his voice, which is arguably Cyrano's true most characteristic feature, is unmatched imo (although McAvoy does a very good job with this too), and he manauvers very well several of the different aspects of the character, such as his playfulness, his shittiness and longing. By the end of the play you believe he is the most beautiful man on Earth. Cyrano, however, is a bit pathetic (not just in a "pathos" way), and I'd say Ferrer gives off an air full of dignity very fitting of many scenes, but that eats almost entirely this aspect of Cyrano; Benoit Solès manages this very well, while also playing well with some of the other ones, such as the playfulness, the longing, the pain and the despair. Both Ferrer and Solès are hilarious, tender, a bit shitty, vulnerable, playful and sad. Albeit neither of them portrays 100% what Cyrano is, I think both come pretty close in slightly different flavours, and by the end of the play one ends up being terribly fond of them.

My favourite Roxane is Clara Huet in the production with Benoit Solès, but Mala Powers in the 1950 film is a close second. I think they portray wonderfully Roxane's spunk, and her mix of honest playful cheerfulness and her haughtiness, her intelligence and wit, and how much like Cyrano she is.

I've not come to love for now any Christian as much as I've loved Ferrer, Solès, Huet and Powers, but again I think the Christians in the 1950 film and the Solès productions are very very good. I love the dynamic they have with their Cyranos, especially the one Christian and Cyrano have in the 1950 film, enhanced positively by the added scenes (they actually work so well in showing their developing as friends, their deep love and care for each other!). I don't want to expand too much on this to avoid spoilers (beyond the already known 'Christian dies' ones I mean), but some things they do with both these Christians are a thing of genius, and both feel vulnerable, kind, ready to fight and truly desperate at times; I like when they do that.

There's an Italian production which has a Cyrano I truly enjoy as well, despite how they dumbify him more than I usually like my Christians. His mix of anger and deep pain when he discovers Cyrano's feelings for Roxane were so well made, and his physical presence makes you identify who Christian is even before the play starts.

The Podalydès production has two different Christians. The one in the version on youtube isn't bad, but @ride-a-dromedary likes Éric Ruf a lot. I actually adore him based on the clips and gifs she's posted of him, but I haven't been able to find the version with him online, so I can't know. But he truly seems one of the best. Based on what little I've seen, I love his intense gazes and subtle gestures.

I'm not entirely sold on any Le Bret, De Guiche or Ragueneau yet.

I think the German musical has a decent Ragueneau in vibes, and the 1990 French film does as well. I found his poem made song for what I think is a Spanish production (I'm not sure if it's a fan creation based on the Spanish production), and while I've not been able to find that production online, the song works well in vibes too I think.

The German musical's Le Bret in vibes is very good. He encompasses well his deep love and worry for Cyrano while also being done with his shit. They truly feel like close friends. The 1950 film kind of combines Gaston de Castel-Jaloux and Le Bret into one character, which sadly changes Le Bret's dynamic with Cyrano a bit, but that's a very good Le Bret as well. The one in Solès' production is pretty good too. He has my favourite delivery of the scene in which Le Bret chastises Cyrano for risking his life sending letters.

De Guiche is complicated. I think productions often make him too pathetic and laughable or too bad, so bad it makes the last act kind of not make sense. The 1950 one, the 1990 French one, the Kevin Kline one and the Solès one are all good, but I am not passionate for any of them either.

And basically that's it!
