YAY! Celebrating a few years of being IRL Friendos, and Mootie Broshimiskies!

We're on a beach, because I don't know where else we would be, and I liked the colors. And look, my art is becoming less and less purple! Pretty proud of myself to be fairly honest.

I am realizing, though; how Purple my OC actually is- And yes, I stole some details from Vox. It's allowed. He's my comfort character let me live my life.

I enjoy putting everyone in suits/dresses because they're just so fashionable! I had a small talk with Enby's creator in real life about whether we would look better in a suit vest or jacket, and I think these actually look alright! They look amazing, and I love them both.

This was done on Procreate, and the image was found on Pinterest (The art reference/doom scroll site for artists and everyone else).

oh yes, both in the sense of like “i have never even heard of this media/these ppl” and “oh, i never rly thought about This having ships” lol. i was saying on my main, i had noooo idea the metallica boys got down Like That, it’s awesome!

but honestly, im more surprised by some of the ships that WEREN’T submitted. obviously, it’s dependent on who was aware this was even a thing happening, but i was still surprised by some omissions!

These are all flexible because I think their adventure will shape who they are as adults a whole lot, but I’ve got some notes. I like Scary’s hair and keeping her in dark colours, I don’t think Link would get too different in his style, I think he wouldn’t jump at changing it up if he didn’t need to, I’ve already said I don’t know how demon Taylor’s going to get, it depends on how much he goes through it, he stays short tho, Will already gave me what to do for Normal, thank you Will, and Hermie I just kinda let him grow his hair out, funnily enough, like Link, I think Hermie’s also pretty comfortable in his style

Yes, yes, y'all are all of course correct. Now that I think about it, I might have even attended that stream live lol (though I really appreciate you providing a source <3). I'm not trying to replace the reason why more so just building off of it, like sure his intial paranoia about this powerful Technoblade level threat was the thought that sparked the need for a prison, but can there also not be multiple reasons for the prison's existence. Consider what I said about Techno kinda self exiling, Dream likely thought about the case of Techno not doing so or being able to cheat death. So, if Dream commissioned the prison due to the fear of an invincible hypothetical threat that he could not control nor even defeat with death (like cc!Dream explains), then is it so unreasonable for me to say there could also a motive to use it for people he can't defeat with death for other reasons like limited canon lives. There are many smaller cells after all and I doubt he's thinking of putting this big hypothetical threat in one of those. It may not be the initial thought that spurred the need for a prison, just as putting himself in it wasn't, but it could have been a thought that developed later. Especially, as keeping Tommy to stay in Exile became a pain in the butt (not that he was going to put Tommy in the prison but more so that hey this could be a hypotherical replacement if the need for an exile ever occurs again or whatever.)

I'm not from Gotham & I'm not there a lot so I'm not super informed about the situation.

That being said, here are some pros and cons of Gotham Urban Planning.

I've started putting in cuts just because these are getting quite long.

Pros

The Wayne Foundation does a lot of good work, transforming the Urban Landscape into something better, getting affordable housing build, improving infrastructure, building third spaces, etc.

They are ridiculously good at rebuilding their cities, oftentimes improving it at the same time

In theory one of the best public transport networks in the country. In Praxis, it desperately needs more funding, modernization and it suffers from the frequent Arkham escapee attacks, same as the rest of the country. But it is still pretty good!

Gotham has less Urban sprawl than most American cities, and more high- and mid-rise buildings as opposed to just going straight to suburbs.

Decent rent prices for a city this size (more on that later)

Cons

The corruption in Gotham does not stop for Urban Planning. They don't hesitate to raze poor neighbourhoods into the ground for dick-measuring projects.

Bike and pedestrian infrastructure are still SO BAD in many areas of Gotham.

Compared to other cities, it's really lacking in terms of green spaces.

While housing prices are pretty great, the cheap housing is often complete and utter shit.

But as much as I hate to say it, Gotham's problems for the most part won't be solved through Urban Planning.

In general, a lot of the problems Gotham faces can't be solved with good urban planning. It can help mitigate symptoms, bad urban planning certainly can make things a lot worse...
