!! progress update !!

i finally got my hands on the right dye needed for doll hair and this is what ive got so far just after 2 rinses. shes still a bit wet but im already very pleased with how its going. there's a really cute ombre happening but unfortunately i need the rest of it to look the same as the bottom, so tonight that'll be my goal after i get home from work !

Haradashi 🍶

A harmless Yōkai with a friendly nature. Haradashi can appear in a number of ways; a kindly old nun, a female monster, or a headless body. With all forms Haradashi takes, she has a large, funny looking face on her torso that she uses to make people laugh. She comes to those that are sadly drinking alone, and if they offer her sake, she will show them her belly and dance to cheer them up.

Haradashi will sometimes take up residence inside an old temple. If a person is lost or seeking refuge from a storm, she will invite them in to stay the night. This isn't where this Yōkai's hospitality ends. Haradashi will provide a comfortable room and warm meal to her guest, complete with belly dancing as entertainment.

This doll is made of; polymer clay with a wire armature and acrylic paint. Her yukata is made with fabric, and her hair ornaments are mostly wire and nail art decor.

((This doll is a personal interpretation inspired by japanese folklore. I do not speak for, or claim to be any kind of authority on Japanese culture, as I am not Japanese.))
