Ongoing Series - Thai

Wandee Godday (Sat YT) ep 5 of 12 - The side couple is so damn pouty and adorable. So far as Yak and Dee are concerned, I love that they kept up with the cosplay stuff and didn’t just drop it as a one off. I'm just genuinely enjoying seeing how much fun they have together and watching them accidentally falling in love with each other and trying not to.

Linguistic corner!

I don’t normally watch any BTS stuff, but for reasons known only to my serotonin-seeking brain, I’ve been watching a few for this show. And I MUST talk about the way Great speaks Thai. It’s so different from all of the other Good GMMTV Boys. He’s way more casual. Not rude, but definitely not as formal or as polite as any of the actors around him. It’s difficult to describe but just LISTEN to the way he hops registers and pronouns pretty consistently. Sometimes in the same sentence. He even softens his polite particles. I've never heard an actor do that out of character. It’s fascinating. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that he is older (then most of his costars) and comes outta the Bangkok club scene, and was older when he joined GMMTV. Frankly, it’s the closest I’ve ever seen on TV to the way people actually talked in Bangkok. 

My Stand-In (Thai Fri iQIYI) ep 6 of 12 eps - honestly these two shows are neck and neck for my favorites running right now and Wandee got the edge because it left me smiling, but yesterday, Stand-In would have come out on top. Such a great show. It’s so sinister. So not romantic. Which makes me feel like... it's not really a BL. And, yet, I DO NOT CARE. Because I’m enjoying its little evil soul so much. “Poor Joe” is pretty much all that goes through my head the whole time I'm watching, and I'm enjoying poking at that pain.

We Are (Weds iQIYI) ep 9 of 16 - I love all of the 3rd wheels. Kluen is kinda great. And I’m not just saying that 'cause I have a crush on Title, it’s because Kluen is so open and genuine. (Unless they fuck up his character.) I even enjoyed the backstory for Fang and Tan. Honestly, the friendship group is the reason to watch this show, they’re great and funny, and make everything enjoyable. It’s a soap opera, like Only Friends, but gentle with its characters and us watchers. Which is what I really want from my BL. I don’t want all of this Friend Zone backstabbing bullpuckie. 

Knock Knock Boys (Thurs Gaga) eps 1-2 of 12 - I like it, frankly more than I expected to. It’s a bit slow moving, but the characters are interesting and the dynamic of everybody living in the same house together is fun. I haven’t seen this style of housemates centered Thai BL in years. I identify FAR too closely with the crass-talking bug-killing pansexual. On a completely different note, I really hope Best and Seng have an NC scene together. Last week I would never have said that, but now I think they have good chemistry. Am I crazy?

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 8 of 12 - They are sickeningly sweet boyfriends, and Moo is such a brat and so demanding. It’s charming. There was even a little bit of dancing together which I’m sure made @heretherebedork happy. Dancing okay but NO SINGING. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

At 25:00 in Akasaka AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 7 of 10 - Asami's past was cool to see. I enjoyed that his character finally got fleshed out and given some solidity. However, it felt like it came a little too late. Even though I know this is the way Japan tends to roll with BL timing. I wanted to like him sooner then this. Now I'm not really that invested.

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 8 fin - It was an extremely good and very satisfying ending for a JBL, which we cannot expect, so I'm disposed to dole out top marks for that. Also we definitely have a new contender for Namgoong award for best wingman. (Japan's favorite: the bespectacled variant.)

Summation:

Kindly Ryota goes to uni and ends up rooming with his former childhood bestie, Kazuhito. Kazuhito doesn’t have a girlfriend for, as it turns out, cute roommate reasons. Same director as Old Fashion Cupcake, the framing is gorgeous and it is a stylish piece. As a friends to lovers cohabitation narrative this was a classic 2000s sweet yaoi. I enjoy that kind of tradition out of Japan even if it (and the characters) come off as a little slow as a result. Still, it's nice to get a traditional BL out of Japan that is satisfying, not slapstick, AND did not hurt us. 8/10 recommended

Blossom Campus (Korea Thurs Gaga & iQIYI) ep 5-6fin - gonna have to wait until next week, for mysterious hotel wifi reasons.

You Made My Day (Thai YT) ep 1 of 5 - mini series staring the I Will Knock You couple Tar & Bom, started but I couldn't find it. I also didn't try very hard.

The Time of Fever AKA Unintentional Love Story 2 (Korea movie) trailer released to Korean theaters 5/25. HoTae & DongHee, side couple from Unintentional Love Story are back! Same actors, same character names. I love them. I NEED TO SEE THIS. How?

OMG Vampire (Thai Sun ????) ep 2 of 10 - yeah I can't find it. Comments from last week suggest this is not my thing anyway, but Lee Long Shi very much IS my thing, so... maybe I'll put it on hold for a bit and y'all can let me know.

After Sundown AKA Saengrawi

ZeeNunew vehicle from 2023, recut into a movie on YouTube. It's from Mandee and horror, yet I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Pronoun use is ter/chan or rao (no nai or pom) because of the historical setting + softness of the relationship.

It's oddly sweet and wholesome, for a ghost story. Phloeng and Rawee enter into an arranged marriage for confusing prophetic reasons and a twisted fate, solving a mystery of the past that is haunting Phloeng's family and harming Rawee. Honestly, it makes no actual sense, but it's kinda historical, and very pretty, so I enjoyed it more than I should. 8/10

6/9 Love Sea (Thailand Sundays MAME warning iQIYI - New characters to the Mameverse. While travelling, a writer has a one night stand with a very irritating man. YES I WILL TRASH WATCH THIS. Drinking will happen on Sundays I guess. (Look, I do usually travel on weekends, so it may end up being Monday Mame Trash - which jives.)

6/14 Let's Eat Together Aki and Haru 2 AKA Aki wa Haru to Gohan wo Tabetai 2 Haime! (Japan movie Gaga?) - Continues the (frankly) lackadaisical story from part 1.

6/15 Sunset Vibes AKA SunsetXVibes (Thailand Saturdays) Star Hunter and MosBank on iQIYI so if nothing else it's gonna be a wild and sexy ride. A one night stand but "uh-oh he’s my boss," adapted from a web series. I’m game. Maybe it’ll have a better story than Big Dragon? Maybe it will have a plot? We can but hope.

6/26 The Rebound (Thai Weds VIU?) - MeenPing are back in their 3rd BL together, a basketball based romance (Meen was a national basketball player, so yay for that). I like this pair better than most (I still do miss Meen with Est but Est has a fantastic looking new BL coming from GMMTV so yeah...) Anyway I'm up for a sports romance starring a man who, yah know, actually played that sport so... I'm game (pun intended).

(Speaking of, why can't Est be a merman? This... I ask you?.)

The Thai Communal Wardrobe 2024 Round-up, Stats, and Awards

Last year, I wrote about the most memorable items of clothing in bl series (to me) for my yearly wrap-up. This year, I'm drawing on stats from the communal wardrobe spreadsheet to dole out awards.

As of Dec 31st 2024, there are 260 items of clothing on the Thai Communal Wardrobe (individual items of clothing which have been worn in two or more different Thai series) - that I have found.

In 2024, 71 new items were added to the communal wardrobe list - meaning they were worn for the first time in a series which finished airing in 2024 and then were subsequently worn again in another series. (This number is going to increase because of the items of clothing worn in Only Boo that I already know will get worn in ThamePo). 62 of them were in two series, 5 were in three series, 2 were in four series, and another 2 were in four series but with two or three colour variations in one of them making five appearances in total.

Now on to the stats and awards!

The First Past The Post Award

The date of the first appearance in 2024 of an item of shared clothing previously worn in other series was Jan 5th, with two items - one in ep 10 of Twins and another in ep 9 of Last Twilight.

The green and grey shirt in Twins was first used in Middleman's Love in 2023, then went on to be worn in Hidden Moon, Peaceful Property, and Love Sick 2024. The L.A Core t-shirt in Last Twilight was first used in Only Friends in 2023, and then went on to be worn in 23.5 and Peaceful Property.

The Most Popular Date Award

There are four joint winners for this category - each having 7 items of clothing (whether new or reappearing): Jan 5th (with one in ep 10 of Twins and six in ep 9 of Last Twilight), Jan 26th (all seven in ep 12 of Last Twilight), Jul 4th (all seven in ep 7 of Knock Knock Boys!), and Sept 8th (all seven in ep 11 of The Trainee).

The Newcomers Award

The series which introduced the most new items of shared clothing that went on to be worn in other series was Last Twilight with 22 items (with Cooking Crush a close second with 20).

In this example, both Mhok and Day's shirts went on to be worn by Uncle Somkid in Peaceful Property, and Mhok's shirt might also get worn in My Golden Blood.

The Only Friends Environmental Sustainability Award

In 2023, Only Friends used 71 items of shared clothing - 28 of which had already been worn in another series and 43 which were new and went on to be worn in more series. (This is the highest number of shared clothing used in one series and I don't think any other series will come close - the next is currently Last Twilight with 49).

In 2024 Peaceful Property re-used the most items of clothing which had been previously worn in other series -> 34 (with 16 from Only Friends and 15 from Last Twilight, amongst other shows). This series has yet to spawn any new items of shared clothing.

In this example, the Dudes shirt was previously worn in Only Friends and Be My Favourite.

The Overachiever Award

Last Twilight also had the most items of shared clothing overall (both new which then got worn in future shows and ones which had already been worn in other shows) with 49.

The Blink and You'll Miss It Award

The shortest time in 2024 between the same item appearing in a different series was one day - this black and white striped shirt worn on Jul 6th in ep 10 of Wandee Goodday and on Jul 7th in ep 5 of Love Sea.

A special mention to this jacket below which was worn in ep 8 of Wandee Goodday and ep 2 of Sunset x Vibes on the same day - Jun 22nd - and which would have won had they been the same colour.

The Good Things Come to Those Who Wait Award

The longest time in 2024 between the same item appearing in a different series was 9 months and 8 days - this white polo shirt with brown collar worn on Jan 5th in ep 9 of Last Twilight and on Nov 13th in ep 12 of Peaceful Property.

The Surprise Mutherfucker! Award

The longest time since the previous appearance of an item worn in 2024 was 2 years, 7 months, and 27 days - this Santa of Attention t-shirt first worn on Dec 12 2021 in ep 1 of Not Me and then not again until Aug 8th 2024 in ep 3 of Monster Next Door.

The Miss Popularity Award

The item of clothing new to the communal wardrobe list in 2024 which was re-worn the most times was this brown t-shirt with double blue stripes worn on May 12th in ep 6 of Only Boo!, Jun 6th in ep 3 of Knock Knock Boys!, July 14th in ep 3 of The Trainee, and Aug 8th in ep 1 of Monster Next Door. (There's something very satisfying about them being consecutive months).

Runners up include the following 3 items but since they have colour variations and the above doesn't, they lost the top spot. Incidentally, I think the one on the left that Peat and Book are wearing will be worn in Jack & Joker special ep...but we'll see in Feb!

The We Bought This on Wholesale Award

The item of clothing already on the communal wardrobe list which had the most reappearances in 2024 was this striped cardigan with white collar in three different colours worn on Jan 20th in ep 6 of Cherry Magic Thailand, Feb 22nd in ep 5 of The Outing, Apr 8th in ep 8 of To Be Continued, May 18th in ep 3 of Wandee Goodday, Jul 26th in ep 3 of This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans, Sept 8th in ep 11 of The Trainee, and Oct 7th in ep 10 of Summer Night. (Previously worn in Bed Friend, Step By Step, Only Friends, and My Dear Gangster Oppa between Apr and Nov 2023 and might get worn again in a few series I have my eye on).

Runners up include item #8 (with 6 appearances) and item #13 (with 5 appearances).

The One Size Fits All Award

The actor who wore the most items on the communal wardrobe in 2024 was Sea Tawinan who wore 31 in total as both Day in Last Twilight and Tae in The Trainee.

In these examples, Day's red and white striped top was worn (two days!) after in Cooking Crush, whilst Tae's Feel The Fear sweatshirt was previously worn (two months earlier) in Wandee Goodday.

Incidentally, Sea has also worn the most items on the communal wardrobe of all time - with 43, as Talay in Vice Versa as well as Day, and Tae.

The Better Late than Never Award

The date of the last appearance in 2024 of an item of shared clothing previously worn in other series was Dec 29th - and just like the first appearance there were 2 items, both in ep 10 of Perfect 10 Liners.

The Don Juan Pond Salinity Award

From BTS media, I felt I had been promised the More Than Friends Less Than Lovers t-shirt in Wandee Goodday - which would have been the perfect series for it - and I spent three months eagerly anticipating its appearance...which ended up not happening. It was also worn platonically in Peaceful Property, which we all ignored because the show is a BL in our hearts and minds if not in explicit actuality.

The What in the Baseball Mom is this?! Award

Originally worn by Book as Mew in Only Friends, the Friends Don't Let Friends Go. to Stanfurd t-shirt was so odd that I thought it would be left in the Crazy Singles drawer along with Baseball Mom and Fart Proudly. I was amazed, therefore, to see it again in Jul in ep 15 of We Are...then a month later in ep 9 of Century of Love...and after another month in ep 5 of Summer Night. But that was nothing compared to my shock at seeing it on Book once again in Dec in ep 10 of Perfect 10 Liners. (I predict it will get worn again).

So there we have it! Or...I'm getting close to my image limit for this post (*shakes fist at tumblr*) so I'll leave you with this yin and yang pairing of opposite sentiments (these two are not on the communal wardrobe...yet), also because this post is severely lacking in the ladies.

YAY! Gay Magic!

Heheheheee that was the cutest shit i ever witnessed i legitimately gone complate gagabanana over that scene at the pier my heart is so full right now. i think i don't mind much about the fake out kiss at the end cuz both the actors are very young and very news. they also been giving their all in other aspects. for the side couple, Potea and me are still on thin ice but we'll see what happened after Payos confessed maybe they will finally win me over.

A concise (and biased) summary of GMMTV 2025 Pt.1 shows (1/2)

In no particular order:

Dare You To Death (Joongdunk, Detectives AU, Enemies to Lovers, Thriller, featuring a solid ensemble including Drake, Prom, Sing Harit, and more. Someone is murdering kids who attended this one party, can Joong and Dunk stop hate-flirting with each other long enough to find the murderer and solve the mystery?) 8/10

2. Head 2 Head (This features the kids from Only Boo. No offence to these kids, love and peace to them only, but I didn't watch Only Boo and I probably won't be watching this. I didn't even see the trailer bc i couldn't be bothered to. I know they have an audience tho and that's all that matters) NA/10

3. Burnout Syndrome (Offgun, Dew on the side. having Dew be paired up with Gun even as the third wheel is SO SO funny. kings of having the largest height difference. ik Dew doesn't usually do BLs but if anyone was gonna get him it would be Gun ATP wouldn't it, little minx. Off is bossman who doesn't want to deal w people and hires boyemployee Gun to act as his proxy. Soundtrack sounds like it'll bang, and w P'Nuchy at the helm it probably will. Can't wait) 8/10

4. Whale Store xoxo (Milklove, it's basically giving Minato's Laundromat GL edition without all the gay suppression. and the age gap. I mean it's about a big city girl who comes back to the small town to handle her small town business, and a local go-for regular who falls for her. looks cute, looks predictable, and maybe that's what we need in the GL market rn. girl don't eat the cat food) 5/10

5. That Summer (Winnysatang, side of Neomint (we love!!!) and MondRyu. Royalty AU, Temporary Amnesia AU, Summer/island/beach AU. very tropey, very fanfiction, but i'm excited to see winnysatang play the leads in a show, it's about time. I've always said they should've played the leads in My Love Mix-Up and FourthGem should've gotten something more substantial, but that's neither here nor there. Mond kissed another man and we all cheered!) 6/10

6. Only Friends 2: Dream On (Earthmix, Ohmleng, Jossgawin. Messy messy messy, and for those of you who liked the first season i'm sure you'll love this one. I didn't so I shall not be watching but I can't wait for my mutuals to enjoy it for me. Nothing else to say) NA/10

7. My Romance Scammer (Ohmfluke (no not that fluke, a different one) Markjunior, and do i need to explain anything here?? it's all in the title. two guys who marry rich people to scam them for money. *gasp* i wonder what will happen next) 3/10

8. Love You Teacher (Perthsanta, Established Relationship, Age Regression AU. Fascinating choice of subject matter, and Santa is adorable no matter what he does. Sir get back in my pocket!!) 7/10

9. Melody of Secrets (Forcebook. I wish I could tell you what this show is about but the trailer is giving me nothing. It feels like someone fed the script of Manner of Death into chatgpt and said 'do that but worse and nonsensical' and chatgpt said 'on it boss' and cranked this out. yay for Boun tho!!) 1/10

10. Mu-Te-Luv (7 different stories with 7 different couples/groups of people. Some straight some queer some unsure. Recognisable names are Dew, Nani, Prem, Prim, Jan, Luke, OhmLeng, Neo, Lego, Yacht, Fluke, Sky, etc. I'm guessing each story will only have a few eps, so i'm sure there's something out there for everyone) 4/10

Daima EP.6 (Spoiler) Review/theories

• HOLY SMOKES, the art direction! Lighting/colors/composition=chef's kiss.

• So Panzy really does wear a collar. Based on the short scene where a Gendarmerie scanned her collar, it's not a fake & fully functional. (Saddening) Wonder if that will somehow impede her ability to travel between worlds. Shin kinda looks like he's gonna do something about it in the next EP preview.

• So the "Kaio"/"Kaio-shin" titles are only given in the outer world, where they are viewed as "gods". They also don't get paid. Makes sense. The Kaio-shin, at least, have never come off as materialistic.

• Panzy essentially confirmed that the entire Demon Realm is smaller than an average universe (outer world), which I suppose checks out, given it only contains 3 worlds.

• Forgot to mention this like, 2 reviews ago, but the symbol that the Gendarmerie sport is clearly based on the Tertian Oculus.

• Goku's bounty is only 10 gold coins? BOO! 3 of that'll go to the routine offering anyways, so you're really only getting 7.

• Perhaps Goku will have to walk around as a Super Saiyan for a while to remain incognito. It would definitely help his body get used to it, Cell saga style.

• Originally, in the Dragon Ball Kanzenshu, the Kaio-shin were stated to have been born from fruit from 1 massive tree. It's now been retconed to 5 big (Onion shaped) Glind trees. Which, in my opinion, is fine since, as far as I know, the Kaio-shin birth origins have never been verbally stated in a Dragon Ball show prior to this scene. It's still a neat origin. It also implies we might see a few baby Kaio-shin in the 2nd world. "Born every few centuries" huh.

• Goku making us all realize we've never seen Shin eat & have only seen him drink drink liquids Namekian style. Makes sense, since the Glinds & Namekians originated from the 2nd demon world.

• So any Kaio-shin born from the same Glind tree are considered siblings. That's very cute.

• "Glinds don't have genders" implies that they essentially choose their own physical attributes/appearance, likely via that body altering magic we saw Shin use in EP 3. So... Y'know... Slay, Dr Arinsu.

• Since the 3rd Demon world has 2 suns, that implies that real night time is super brief, & that the night sky we saw in EP 3 appeared in the very dead of night.

• Panzy can fly a plane.

• Lmao, Supreme King Gohma matchboxes. I want one.

• Panzy's sleeping bag is SO CUTE! Hope they sell them IRL someday.

• Glorio implies that by living in the 1st Demon world, he, as a 3rd world demon, need not adhere to the collar law & whatnot. Makes a lotta sense. Privilege.

• We finally met the cute, silly(stinky) Minotaur from the OP. Clearly another one-off character we probably won't see again. So expressive though. I liked him. The way he left had me belly laughing.

• Through Glorio vs Goku we see that Glorio's strength is somewhere around Goku's full power at base form, we see how King Gohma & Degesu could mistake ki blasts for magic, that Goku has acclimated to the dense air just fine already, & that Glorio is a lightning magic user.

Only Boo! Ep 7 Stray Thoughts

Last week, Moo and friends put on an act for Moo's mom to sign the permission slip for him to participate in the competition. Mom saw through it and said that if he doesn't succeed this time she's sending him to New Zealand for reasons I am choosing not to speculate on because of the mom plot with Kang's mom. Kang's mom accepted him, but I feel like the show didn't connect her worries properly to specifics about the dad and her lack of support for the arts, so I anticipated homophobia in a way that really bothered me.

Are we starting on a dream sequence??

Ongoing Series - Thai

Two Worlds (Thurs IQIYI) ep 4 of 10 - I don’t say this often but I LOVE this love triangle. The longing gazes = chef's kiss. I like that we are finally getting flashbacks to Tai’s side of the love affaire. This show remains highly engaging. So pleased for MaxNat.  

Deep Night (Thurs iQiyi) ep 5 of 8 - More lesbians! Yay! Meanwhile, when our leads make up they make out! (Yes I’m proud of myself.) I think this might be BLs first rooftop sex scene. We’ve reached new heights, BLabies. (Yes I’m proud of that too.) Anygay, basically a soap opera at this point, I'm not thrilled but I don’t mind.

City of Stars (Fri iQIYI) ep 10 of 12 - It was lovely. Very well done celebrity leaving the closet ep. Nice ensemble work too. Next week is doom! As expected. 

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 1 of 12 - New main couple for GMMTV in an idol romance about a boy who dances good and a food stand vendor. It’s fine but overly very pulp feeling for something from GMMTV. I'm a little concerned.

1000 Years Old (Thurs iQIYI) ep 8 of 12 - meh.

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Unknown (Taiwan Tues YouTube & Viki) ep 7 of 11 - Qian was, indeed, the one who couldn’t let go. This show is fucking fantastic. It's the best thing I'm watching right now by a mile.

Jazz for Two (Korea Gaga/grey) eps 3-8fin - The bully and the blue-haired drummer side pairing were great. I hated the father. Hated him so much. Our main tsundere seme was a bit too tsundere for me. I was v annoyed by the time he finally softened. I'm amused by all the ways they finagled boys kissin-but-not-kissing in the first half of this show. 2024's "pan around the back of the head" has now become a "dipping of the brolly." We did, however, eventually get an okay kiss.

Honestly?

This was basically what I wanted from Given and didn’t get. So I’m pleased. The music still wasn't great, but you can skip those bits. A solid enemies to lovers BL, where the sins of brothers' past haunts the present. Great optics, decent chemistry, and a tidy script even if tsundere characterization went a bit extreme in some cases. 8/10 RECOMMENDED trigger for suicide

Love is Better the Second Time Around AKA Koi wo Suru nara Nidome ga Joto (Japan Weds Gaga) ep 5 of 6 - We got the past betrayal in detail and it was decently bad. Bitterness understood. Too soon to live together! The BL U-Haul strikes again. I do like their weird curry passive aggressive argument. This is an interesting show. Do I LOVE it? No. But I think I like it.

On a not-really-related note: adoption, including adult adoption, is actually pretty common in Japan (comparatively). It's often tied to business scionism.

My Strawberry Film (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 8fin - It all turned out to be a tragic GL in the end. Not BL = not my problem. No rating. I will forget its existence right about… now. 

Love is like a Cat (Korea Mon Viki) eps 1-2 of 12 - Okay, weirdly kinky with the head scratching. Not much has happened and I’m not wild about what has.

We Are (Weds GMMTV iQIYI) ep 1 of 16 - University ensemble BL featuring PondPhuwin, WinnySatang, AouBoom, MarcPawinPoon - basically the good kind of messy gay friendship group (so more My Engineer and less Only Friends). Looks a bit like the Kiss series but everyone is queer. I'm IN but I need my other computer and I'm traveling as usual. So I'll get caught up next week and probably won't regularly be able to watch this one.

Graduation Countdown (Taiwan YouTube) - It's too much for me to keep up with 2 minute verticals, I don't have that kind of TikTok endurance training.

A Secretly Love (Thai Sat WeTV grey) 10 eps - Completed. Worth watching?

Lady Boy Friends (Thai WeTV grey) 16 eps - reminds me a bit too much of Diary of Tootsies only high school. Not my thing. DNF unless it turns a corner and is truly amazing.

Kiseki Chapter 2 (Sun iQIYI) 6 eps - It’s so boring DNFed at 2.

Close Friend Season 3: Soju Bomb! (Weds iQIYI) 6 - The problem with situational comedy BL is it must be situational, comedic and a BL. This show gets 1 of 3 claims correct. 33% is not a passing grade. Dropped at 3.

Takumi-kun Series 6: Nagai Nagai Monogatari is getting the undeserved honor of Furritsubs. Follow them for details. Tip 'em if you like 'em. (Will I watch it? Oh, probably. Damn it.)

Then Next Prince turned out to be a trailer only. Word on the webs is we will be lucky if we get it this year. It’s BL Princess Diaries. Jimmy has a new pairing (that boy from Night Dream) which is... interesting. All in all, this show does not look good. Pretty but not good.

4/11 Gray Shelter AKA Gray Currents (Korea ????) 4 eps - SooHyuk is only just surviving and reunites with YoonDae, an old friend. They end up living together. One of the leads is played by Choco of Choco Milk Shake.

4/12 Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Gaga) 10 eps - Kindly Ryota goes off to uni only to find his new roommate is his childhood bestie, Kazuhito. Kazuhito doesn’t have a girlfriend and Ryota tries to help him figure out why, they fall in love along the way. Same director as Old Fashion Cupcake.

4/18 At 25:00, in Alaska AKA 25 Ji, Akasaka de (Japan Gaga) 10 eps - Yuki lands his first starring role in a BL drama alongside superstar Asami (previously his senior at uni). Said superstar suggests they form a sham relationship until filming concludes. As they actually begin to fall in love, the spotlight begins to burn. I think I've seen this before (joke) and also the trailer doesn't inspire confidence.

4/26 My Stand-In (Thai iQIYI) 12 eps - adaptation of Chinese novel "Professional Body Double" by Shui Qiang Cheng. Stars Up (Lovely Writer) and Poom (Bake Me Please) directed by the same team as KP (not a recommendation IMHO - my biggest criticism of that show was the clashing directing styles). This one looks well complicated, lemme try: Joe is a stuntman for famous actor Tong. Joe falls in love with Ming but Ming sees Joe as nothing more than a Tong-replacement. After learning this horrible truth, Joe dies. Joe then wakes up in the body of another man also named Joe. He manages to rebuild the same life as before—with the same people eventually re-meeting Ming. Ming wants Joe back but Joe doesn't understand why. But Ming seems to know what's going on and wants to give him some kind of explanation.

I'm exhausted just trying to describe the plot.

Looks like Sun and Ongsa are entering the mutual awkwardness stage of their relationship. We love to see it. Now it's not just Ongsa being an epic dork and I love that for the both of them.

Okay but I also love Sun flirting and knowing just how cute Ongsa finds her. Both are good.
