One thing that I haven't mentioned much is how much High School Frenemy brings my own hs trauma back.

Especially with Principal "you can choose two students from your class to represent the school but only if they're the students I want." Principal "I will run my own son into the ground to prove a point and not seem to get that he disappears farther into himself every time I do this." Principal "I don't actually care about these students I just want to be recognized for turning the worst ones around."

She sucks so much and with every episode that goes by I worry that she's never gonna get that wake up call she so desperately needs (it would be realistic if she didn't but I'm not actually here for realism okay gimme her realizing she's kind of the worst and striving to be better).

ETA: Okay I take it back about the Thai competition. Except the Parent Association crap is ALSO bringing back trauma lol. There is nothing worse than being good at something and knowing it doesn't matter because someone else has more influential parents.
