Reading this just made me feel more proud of my writing abilities and reminded me of some of my favourite sex scenes I have ever written and it has really made me want to highlight them for you and why I love them so much.
Each one of these scenes is so completely different from one another, showing the true depths of the characters within them as they use these acts of intimacy to really help develop and flesh out who the characters are both as individuals and as partners. Each scene has a different need to be fulfilled and emotions to be shared and I am so incredibly proud of each one of them.
Angel In The Garden of Evil Chapter 19: Wash It Away
A mob!au Peter Parker Story
The intimacy of this scene coming as a conclusion for all the characters have been through not just during the story as you the reader reads it but also all the history they have together. It’s oddly sweet and tender as he takes the time to carry her into the house, to wash her in the shower and show her how much she really means to him. To literally wash away the old before they make love and bring in the new. It’s almost a whole cycle of life, death and rebirth moment. It’s the deep longing connection of husband and wife and how some loves just endure despite their tribulations.
Make Me Forget
Amazing Spider-Man Peter Parker x Harry Osborn Imagine (part two of crushed)
Running to the one person you shouldn’t to make the hurt go away. Asking your now ex boyfriends best friend to take you as his own after he rescued you from your abuser and asking them to claim you as their own and show you how to be treated right. To kiss away every hurt. To rewrite every touch on your body. It’s both painful and yet beautiful and hopeful and healing.
Nothing Ever Good Happens After 2am
A Joel Miller Story (Part 3 of the Insecure Series)
This is hate fucking at its finest. There’s so much tension and history and anger for both the past and present. Although so familiar with one another’s bodies they instinctively reach for each other due to that familiarity, but there is no resemblance of the way they once fucked to how they do now. The way they know each others bodies so well they can weaponise them against each other to do even more damage, leaving neither of them fully satisfied in the end and the act in fact only works to make their situation worse just feels heartbreaking on everyone, characters and readers alike. It’s short and to the point and makes me so proud.
What Benny Doesn’t Know Chapter 5
Frankie’s story
This is all about toxic love. It’s all the things well accepted when we are blinded by love. Overlooking the glaring problems just so you can be with them. Accepting their lies and bad behaviour. It’s doing drugs in the middle of the act. It’s cheating on partners. It is love and pain and longing and finally getting what you want but it’s at the wrong moment in the timelines and destined to fail from the second it started. Although a fun read and a wild time, the emotional weight and lessons for the reader also really shine through and I will always be proud of how I chose to handle this one, both for the characters and the over all story and it’s development.
the secret to writing good smut that doesn't feel like you're just repeating the same words for junk and fucking over and over is to spend your effort writing about everything happening around the sex and everything happening inside the heads of the people having sex and before you know it you have four paragraphs of introspection and two paragraphs describing the space and it's okay to use the word cock again

Polytheists from the US: please stop fear mongering
I wanna start this post by saying that, as a bisexual woman, I do feel for my fellow women and LGBT people in the US, as well as for other minorities. I also fear for all of us around the world, as US politics have a direct impact in all countries.
However, please stop projecting your fears on the gods. If you think the gods suddenly became angry after the elections, after everything the world has gone through this year, that means you think the gods care more about you than they do about everyone else. And that's not okay.
1. You're the centre of the world. Please don't be entitled.
As I said, whatever the US does has an impact everywhere. That doesn't mean we need to extrapolate that into religion.
There are two things that have happened this year that would directly impact the gods. One was Mt Olympus burning in August. The other is an Israeli airstrike nearly hitting the Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek. I saw ZERO posts about the gods being angry about that. Or about the gods being angry at all. I understand you can't read the news about every country ever, but at least try to keep up with the country your religion comes from?
To those two things I said, I could add others that don't impact the gods directly like Palestine, Lebanon and Ukraine getting b0mbed; Argentina, Brazil, Greece, Poland, Austria, Spain and many other countries having deadly fires and floods; the rights of Italian LGBT people being set years back by their current PM, as well as LGBT people in some countries not having rights at all; conservative politicians being elected all over the world; WOMEN BEING BANNED FROM SPEAKING IN AFGHANISTAN; Pakistani Pagan tribes being targeted; the whole Gisèle Pelicot case... I could go on and on and on because there's just too much stuff going on in the world.
If you think none of these things would make the gods go angry, but the moment something happens in your country they're suddenly angry then that's an issue. And if you're trying to make this into a collective truth then you're making it everyone else's issue.
2. This is not an Abrahamic religion.
I understand many of you come from an Abrahamic background. I was raised in a deeply Catholic country. In the type of town where people get their favourite apparition or Mary tattooed. So I understand. But you have to somehow unlearn that when it comes to things like these.
The gods are not angry at you. Why would they be? Did you personally do something to offend them? Did you steal from their temple? Did you brag about being better than them in any way? I'm sure you didn't. So why would they be angry?
If you start saying things like “the gods are angry because of this!!” you sound just like the Christians who repeat Christ is coming soon everytime any type of natural catastrophe happens. Please stop. You're making all of us look crazy.
And also, what do you gain from this? Making other people upset? Especially those who just came into this religion and might think the gods are angry at them? It'd be fine if you posted something like “let's pray for our fellow Americans” but this doesn't make any sense. I just don't understand you people sometimes.
Also if you're gonna reply to this post by saying something along the lines of “people are allowed to talk about their feelings” then delete the comment because it shows you have little reading comprehension.

While we're on the topic of good acting in Bridgerton, I want to make a shout out to both Luke and Nicola for one of my favourite scenes:
The dream sequence is so well done! Not just the acting, but set design and directing.
But let's focus on the acting. Because this is a very different scene for Luke and Nicola; they are not playing Colin and Penelope here. They are playing a fictionalised version of those characters (fictionalised within the narrative, that is) that Colin has dreamed up. In his dream, he is the dashing hero of a romance novel and Pen is his beautiful heroine. And considering that the whole show is taken from a romance novel like the one Colin is dreaming of, it's just goes to show how good Luke and Nicola's acting is that we can tell the difference.
The dialogue is a lot more formal, their voices and accents a bit posher. It isn't until Penelope is whispering Colin's name that she sounds like herself. These characters both are and aren't Colin and Penelope, and it takes some great acting chops to show that.
And when you compare it to the carriage scene, you can see the difference. It's a lot more awkward and far less dashing. But it's real.
Colin starts off unsure, but from the moment he kneels down on the floor, he knows what he wants to say - he's replayed this speech in his dreams a dozen times - but now he's got to figure out how to say it. There are moments of doubt and moments where he gets into his stride, and it's just a brilliant mix of different and similar to the dream scene.
And Pen, of course, is very different. In Colin's dream, she instantly admits she feels the same, but in the carriage, she is much more human. She's confused and surprised and needs a minute, so she starts by pointing out that they are friends.
You can see the heartbroken acceptance in Colin's eyes as he backs down. This is not how his dreams ended, and now he's back to reality. But then Pen catches up, and admits the truth of her feelings, and suddenly the dream is back on.
Okay, so this post ended up being about two of my favourite scenes, but the comparison between them is just amazing.

This. Is. Cinema.
On the surface it's 2 guys a girl and a whole lotta horny tennis.
However, every single shot is curated to perfection.
It seems the movie is centered around this one match in New Rochelle and how our characters got to this point.
Over the course of 13 years we see failure, flirtation, lust, jealousy, trickery, obsession, pining and an intense rivalry. This all culminates into 2 ¼ hours of tension, techno and tennis.
The soundtrack adds a hyperventilative (which I'm aware isn't a word but should be 💀) layer to scenes that would not normally do so. A simple scene at a table turns into a 'holding your breath. Will they won't they' moment with the loud aggresive techo playing over the simple conversation.
All the tennis games are tense but the main one had me on the edge of my seat each time we came back to it. Also it's obvious but I appreciated the nod to the main tennis match being a representation of their tumultuous history.
Each of the three main characters feel so human that you can't just say "well they're the villain of this story and the reason all these bad things happened" bc they all fuck up and none of them are definitively villians or victims.
I noticed immediately that Patrick towers and invades people's spaces consistently throughout the 13 years. He's childish, immature, cheeky, stubborn, condescending and arrogant. There's also a vulnerability there. I think he's genuinely in love with Art ig only at first and 'who wouldn't be'
Art is sly, cunning, very insecure and softer as a person. Whether he was always like this or Patrick's intimidating, towering nature backed him into a corner slightly we'll never know but from the moment we meet them he's always second. Second to speak with Tashi, to sit on the bed. He gets shouted over a lot by Patrick but I think that makes us feel sorry for Art which allows his trickery to pass under our nose and us to underestimate him.
Tashi is obsessive, controlling, demanding and stubborn but also sweet and shows concern. I, however, think she never loved either of them, we knew this with Patrick but I think she lived vicariously through Arts career and cared for Art but never deeply loved him. Tashi and Patrick would not work in any universe because they're both too stubborn and they're both leaders, we see the fault of this pairing in the dorm before Tashi's match.
I won't pretend to be some film snob who only looks at the nuances and won't shamelessly say that this film was hot beacuse it was, incredibly so. The churros for Christ's sakes.
This film exceeded my already high expectations and I will say somethings potentially fishy about Lilys parentage just saying 🫢
To round this review off, I quote my favourite review, I've read "The tennis is about sex and the sex is about tennis"

‘Arthur thank you’
‘You too’
This is one of my favourite Merthur moments on the show, there’s so much going on here but not much is said but it’s loaded with emotion and both actors play it beautifully.
I always thought they had The Poisoned Chalice on too soon when it comes to their relationship because there’s some backsliding later in the closeness by the writers when they started having Arthur being a dick again but this whole episode is one long Merthur fest and that’s why it’s my No 1.
Arthur is so wonderfully soft with Merlin, but typically disguises it with his usual brisk put downs ‘a half decent servant is hard to come by’ and ‘I expect you to be back to work tomorrow’ which is such an Arthur thing to say. However, the way he comes in when Merlin’s back is turned and stares and the camera homes in on him for a beat and you can sense the relief there that Merlin is alive and well, then he quickly composes himself and pretends to be all casual and jokey. It's adorable and so sweet. 🤗
It’s also a moment when both boys reassess each other, Merlin knows that Arthur has risked his life to save him which is no minor thing to do. He’s the future heir to the throne after all, yet he risked his life for a servant and what’s more he done it defying his father and getting thrown into jail. Whilst Arthur has learnt that sometimes he will have to defy his father to do the morally right thing and that it’s not just nobles lives he should value.
Colin looks super adorable and vulnerable wrapped in that blanket!

Opinion and thoughts on Emmrich’s questline’s last choice (with spoilers of course) :
How that choice stressed me the second the Liche thing was introduced… until when truly faced with it, it didn’t XD. I regret worrying so much but that’s in my nature (PTSD from Solas Romance and other stuff...). The second Manfred came into the picture, I was sold for one of the endings. I couldn’t imagine continuing the story without our beloved skeleton child.
With that said, I still played the two choices and the little wrapping quest after the choice. In the end, to me the whole choice felt like choosing between heart and mind. Here’s why:
- Emmrich becoming a Liche (the path of reason/logic)
In this ending Emmrich follows his dream/project. Just before you make the choice he is still very eager to become a Liche and barely talks about Manfred. I felt that’s what he really wanted and had worked hard for (contrary to other companion quests where other companions seemed less comitted to one choice over the other).
It is a more « selfish » (it’s a too strong word but I haven’t got a better one) ending and feels colder too. Emmrich follows his academic goals.
Rook and Emmrich’s interaction before the ritual made me a bit sad, like a farewell. The worry for Emmrich’s life and the unknown felt real. And when Vorgoth stepped out with the bloodied dagger, I felt a pang in my heart. The cutscene was very well done, every mortalitasi stepping out and suspense as Emmrich steps out last : he succeeded but changed forever.
Emmrich won’t have to face death because he succeeds in becoming immortal (he somewhat faces it because he could have died during the ritual but you see my point). When romanced, even if you can say it changes nothing to Rook’s feelings, that is obviously a big thing. It felt a bit too big for me for a romance that just starting blooming.
- Emmrich saving Manfred (the path of sentimentality)
To save Manfred, Emmrich will have to abandon becoming a Liche. He’s sacrificing something for Manfred, just like Manfred did for him. It’s warm and cute, and Manfred comes back with new magic powers. Plus you see the spirits of the first quest again which was a nice detail.
The first thing Manfred says when he realizes he’s got magic is « Magic, like you », showing he really admires Emmrich. That line killed me honestly, so heartwarming! The hug and the following scene with Rook are adorable, absolutely wonderful, and when in a romance with Emmrich it gives the family vibe that I personally enjoy very much. Father figure/teacher Emmrich does something to me… (I promise I don’t have daddy issues, I’m just getting older XD)
Emmrich will teach Manfred, pass on his knowledge to him, and somehow he’s giving his life to him since he turned down immortality for him.
Maybe it is selfish of me but I prefer this ending because Rook gets both Manfred and the same Emmrich as before. It feels happier. As Emmrich said when asked about his regrets: “I wouldn’t have it any other way”. This moment, with that sweet expression he made while watching Manfred discover the world again brought tears to my eyes. My heart was moved by this ending. It is by far my favourite.
Final thoughts:
I’m reminded of Baldur’s Gate 3 where the endings I preferred were those where the companions didn’t go through with their initial goals. It feels more like character growth that way maybe.
I’ll have to see if the other romances are as impacted by the final decisions of companion quests but I’m not sure. I didn’t feel like the other choices were that big (except Taash and Harding maybe) but maybe I’m wrong, I’ll see when I watch the other romances.
I’ll do another post soon about my overall opinion on the companions and their quests.
I absolutely do not regret choosing Emmrich’s romance, it made me feel lots of different feelings, and that proves it had me invested! It was very good. I hope there will be a few more scenes with him (especially a sexy one XD) because I can’t get enough of this lovely man!
(Link to my opinion on his last quest if you want more of my rambling)

you can pry sneeg, ranboo and charlie are canon friends in generation loss from my cold, dead hands. when sneeg remembers himself with the help of the Bad Hat, he runs to ranboo, links both hands into the chain of the fence to get as close to him as possible, and assures him he’ll come back for him. when ranboo and charlie are awake in the mall, they call each other by name and have an instinctive desire to keep each other safe, even if they don’t know anything about what’s happening to them. these three have a history, i’m sure of it, and it’s heartbreaking that showfall keeps letting them get close and then breaking them apart.

sometimes I think abt how the months coming up to and the prom night in freshman year must feel to class swap sklonda. your perfect kid who has literally never gotten a single reprimand for anything does what can only be described as a quad crit crime combo and becomes a nerd punisher by the end of the night
#dimension 20#fantasy high#fhfy#fhjy#riz gukgak#ft. sklonda fig and jawbones#fh class quangle#class swap! bard!riz u know the drill!#the peace treaty thing is about kalina being employed by the fallinel government. I imagine riz can tease out Too Much from that#this is my favourite thing. when a character becomes annoying to show that they feel comfortable around certain people#one thing I will never change about riz is that he goes whole hog all the time forever. kid does Not know moderation he is 100% at all time#the switch up in freshman year turns out slow bc he and his friends get thrown in jail for two months but the moment he#gets the memo that he just doesn't get to bow out of the fight like other people bc of who he is he immediately goes okay <3 violence it is#I feel like I've been kinda glossing over how Intense the little guy is in the class swap bc it's a more lowkey kind of intense usually#but like he is lol. he's intense and he's Mean too. that's his magic <3

Back on my bullshit talking about the details in IWTV.
This time: the dance at the mardi gras ball.
Every single time I watch this scene I am floored by the beautiful moment where Louis gets lost in Lestat's eyes and the entire room full of people melt away into nothing and for that brief moment it's just him and Lestat embracing on the gallery floor. It speaks volumes about how Louis' memories of Lestat can be altered by his romanticised recollection seen through the lens of his love. It's a visual representation of the way emotions can alter your perception of reality.
They enter through a fairly busy room, walking between people to take their positions to dance.
As they bow to each other and come together into a waltz hold, the crowd moves to the outer edge of the room, surrounding them. You can't look in any direction without seeing a sea of masked faces.
The crowd is a constant presence as they dance, even in shots focusing on Louis and Lestat the crowd is visible in the background.
Then, as Louis starts to speak about his attempt at distraction being mirrored back onto him in Lestat's eyes, the crowd just disappears.
Almost imperceptibly at first, there are no people in the background.
Then it cuts to a wide shot and the gallery is completely empty except for Louis and Lestat dancing through the space, lost in each other's eyes. Nothing exists but the two of them and this beautiful moment between them.
Then they kiss.
We hear the crowd's response, but in the moment of the kiss they are still invisible in Louis' recollection of that night. It's just him and Lestat. Nothing else matters in this moment but them.
This illusion is then broken as the camera cuts completely away from the couple to show the crowd's reaction to the kiss.
It brings us back to the room with a harsh return to reality, showing us the shock, disgust, and mockery from the crowd, which Louis' rose tinted memory of this moment has shielded us from until now.
Then Claudia brings Louis and Lestat out of the moment and back to reality by breaking them apart and asking Louis to dance, and the illusion is broken for Louis as well as the audience. He is fully back in the reality of the moment now.
The way this sequence is shot to allow this moment of altered memory creates such a beautiful moment in this episode. It's subtle, but so powerful, and it says so much about how Louis feels about this moment, his wider relationship to Lestat, and society's view of him as a Black queer man.
#idk man i know i'm reading a lot into this but fuck me it's beautiful and i need to shout about it#the details in this show#absolutely stunning#this is one of my favourite moments in the whole show#interview with the vampire#amc iwtv#lestat de lioncourt#louis de pointe du lac#loustat#sam reid#jacob anderson

One of the worst Ninjago takes I ever saw was some guy on Twitter saying that he wouldn't show his young daughter the Seabound finale because Nya's sacrifice was somehow "anti-feminist". And I feel like I've made this exact post before but I don't care because it was such a stupid take that it deserves another post.
#ninjago#seabound#literally what the hell did he even mean by that#Nya's sacrifice is one of my favourite moments in the whole show wtf#nya#ninjago s14

The variations of kipperlilly copperkettle names got so unfunny the second fans started trying way too hard to play along, sorry.
The only decent one I've seen out of the show is ClericKiller which is genuinely pretty funny. Otherwise they're either kind of cringy or just someone just wanting to call her a cunt/bitch.
#kipperlilly copperkettle#i get that fans aren't going to be funny as professional improv comedians but I've never had a bit soured for me be audience participation#so fast#like i genuinely enjoyed that bit#let the record show - i have watched the 'many names of klck' youtube compilation several times#my favourite fanart from this whole season is that one of the Bad Girls looking like bullies making fun of her name#they're very sweet kids and i loved getting to see them have their snarky little mean girl moment#y'all are just deeply unfunny. the reddit fandom is worse for this i will admit

Greg in every episode of CSI (87/328) • Down The Drain •
#csi#greg sanders#nick stokes#sara sidle#warrick brown#gil grissom#catherine willows#csi s5#csi 5x02#there he is! my favourite white boy!#own post#mine: every episode#ok time to talk about Greg and Sara#i love them. not only are they my favourite duo in the whole show I have to argue that s5 is one of their best seasons for their friendship#Greg's crush on Sara is out of the way which leaves so much space for their platonic relationship to grow. their flirting/teasing is#so playful and completely lowstakes. Greg isn't trying to win over Sara anymore they're just having a good time and banter-ing#in episode 14 (i think?) after Sara gets suspended and Greg asks what happened she says she doesnt want to talk about it#and greg says hes a good listener Sara explains (briefly) and then they just move on is so wholesome its such an under-rated moment for the#and when he's like “Sara's been suspended? we have to help” is just so ultimate ride or die bestie#but what I think it most important is that whilst Grissom/Cath teach Greg how to actually BE a CSI and how to do the job Sara teaches him#how to DEAL with the job. like in this ep with Gregs first autopsy Sara asks how he found it and you just know that if Greg was more freake#by it she would allow him to say that without just being like “thats the job get on with it” which maybe some of the others would? and that#why I think Greg still has such a heart to the job. flash forward to s15 when the girl attacks Greg because shes been drugged and he gets S#SAD because he felt bad about not being able to help and calm her down I feel like thats bc of Sara :“)#anyway long stort short Greg and Sara are the best platonic pairing in CSI and i love them

Please allow me to be absolutely insane over Cecil and Kevin for a minute y’all. I finished relistening through Old Oak Doors a few days ago and have FEELINGS!
Please enjoy some ramblings!
Just imagine. He is the best parts of you, you are the worst parts of him. Once upon a time there would have been few differences between you. (But you did not know each other when that was still the case).
You ask him to join you in the “Night Vale AND Desert Bluffs Metropolitan Area”, while your managers refer to it by Desert Bluffs alone. Maybe it’s a last ditch effort to win, maybe it’s some part of you reaching through for that connection. Do you know which? Can you?
You understand each other on an innate level no one else ever can. You’re strangers. You have only ever spoken half a dozen times, and you’ve tried to kill each other in at least half of those. Neither of you can bring yourself to.
You build him a radio station to the best of your abilities.
He gives you hope, he lies to you, he is one of the last people you talk to when even your name ceases to mean anything to you. (The Desert said that he belonged on one side of the door and that you, who were once Voice in your own right, do not).
You are the same, and perfect opposites— until something broke. What happens then?
#kevin|character#kevin|aesthetic#kevcil#cecilin#ceckev#I’m not even going to pretend that the dynamic between these two#hasn’t absolutely CAPTURED me since I first started listening back in high school!#there’s just so much POTENTIAL!#you see these fascinating moments from Kevin during the Strex arc#of what feels like clarity or something from *before* reaching out#because we see the whole show from Cecil#Kevin is as a result#fundamentally defined in part by being ‘Cecil’s Double’#in a way that Cecil isn’t#one of my favourite hcs is that neither of them will be able to properly move on from being the Voice#because of the idea that the world must remain in balance#and as there is no more Desert Bluffs or Voice of it#there can be no new Voice of Night Vale#triptych means everything to me#the complexity is introduces with pre-Strex Kevin!#he is the bright sunny sunshine double… and the monster#Strex stops the sun setting in DB disrupting the balance#which ties back to the earlier idea of neither of them being able to retire#because NV can’t be short a day either

I watched Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, it was AMAZING except I really didn't like the plot but I think I wasn't the intended audience because nothing made sense to me (I think you have to be a fan of the comics and stuff for it to make sense?)
Animation absolutely blew me away though and Mathew Patel is my favourite character in the whole show XD A national treasure
Also also LOVEEEED all the Toronto references, can't believe they even had Dupont station!
#musings#i also didnt like how normalized cheating was in the show?#like it felt like everyone was cheating and each time it was a 'oh yeah oopsies whatever' moment#but again im probably not the intended audience#also why did ramona keep changing her hair#for fun?#**also in addition to cheating more so just everyone playing with everyones feelings#like the roommate was one of my favourites until the whole thing with the actor guy#he really played that guy eh#not excusing the actor i mean he was openly cheating on his girlfriend smh
