I like to imagine Elain secretly having other forms of divination magic that no one else knows about. She can read the future in the remnants of tea leaves the others leave behind in their tea cups. It's how she figured out Feyre was pregnant, before even Feyre herself knew. She tells no one of her powers, thinking them silly and unimportant in comparison to the rest of the Inner Court.

Until one day Lucien notices her staring very intently into her cup. "Looking for the future in there, lady?" He attempts at a joke with her. And when she responds, "How did you know that?" he wasn't expecting that kind of response.

It becomes their little secret. She practices on him. Reads his future. For some reason, those tea leaves just keep presenting as a sun in the bottom of his cup.

Then one day, when no one else is around, she asks for his hand. She has a theory that she can read palms. She doesn't know how exactly, but the lines speak to her about the future.

Tentatively, he places his hands in hers. They both pretend to breathe even though they can't since they are finally touching. "Oh wow," Elain gasps with wide eyes, a blush spreading to the tips of her ears. "This is divided...You're going to have two great love stories in your life..."

She clears her throat and he stares and stares at her. She's about to find an excuse to leave when Lucien extends his hand out for her palm. "Let me try," he gives a little smirk. She knows he is being playful but decides to indulge him.

Elain is staring as he traces every single line on her palm, her fingers, swipes his thumb over her pulse point on her wrist. "I think...I think there's a great love story in your future, too. I think fate has something incredible in store for you, if you only let it happen."

Elain leans in closer to look at her hand. "How do you know--"

But when she glances up, she sees his mismatched orbs had been staring at her face the entire time. Suddenly the blush has spread across her face and chest.

Hello, friend. I knew eventually I would have to answer for this one 🫠 It’s my (not so secret) shame I was supposed to complete for Finish it Fest (oops)

If you like Fashion & Baseball is a partially published (not abandoned!) wip on ao3, with a non-linear timeline. It cuts between Present Day and when David and Patrick were in high school. I legit forget how much I’ve spilled about this before so…

It starts with Patrick engaged to Rachel but knowing he’s miserable. One night he gets a notification that his dating site profile (that he only started during a break up because friends pressured him to make it) will become inactive unless he has some activity. He logs in to cancel but then has a What if? moment. As in what if he changes his search parameters to include guys? And who should pop up in the results? NBD just his BFF/the guy he was madly in love with during high school and had a huge falling out with at graduation.

Patrick and David start talking online but Patrick doesn’t exactly disclose his identity. He just wants to talk to his friend again.

NGL I have given a lot of consideration to redoing what’s already out there. Not too too much but some touch ups and making it neater.

Charlie knows that Mariana prefers to speak and write in Spanish, especially since he can rely on the translator, so the fact that the note was written in English means something. Roier and Charlie both know who the letter was written for.

this is a snippet from a wip i started back in like october when mariana said his qsmp character was dead then promptly rescinded that statement. also bc sage sageification wrote smth that tore me into many little pieces and i had to write one that was a little bit happier at least. kinda. and its still not done i just have the doc open in my tabs and im no closer to finishing it
