and so, the two of you barely talk. you try, at first, but it becomes clear three days in that she's utterly uninterested. which, you can't lie, is a pretty huge disappointment, considering that the prospect of living with an incredibly hot and stoic butch was one that had you thrilled initially. but, unfortunately, she seems anything but truly interested in any sort of connection with you.

it's not like she hates you or anything. you're pretty okay -- nice to her and not sloppy and disgusting like some of the other roommates she's had before. you even share the food you cook with her, and have always been cooperative about splitting chores with her. so, in sevika's books, you're not a person who she's keen on disliking, and she actually feels pretty damn lucky for having found your ad.

roommate!sevika who does nothing to quell the sexual frustration you've had for months due to the serious dry spell that's been plaguing you. walls are thin, and you can hear the loud ass girl she's brought home, moaning and whining as sevika's bed frame rocks against the wall. every now and then, her noises are met with sevika's hushed grunts and filthy words of, "tell me, who's a good girl?"

roommate!sevika who's giving you the most bewildered stare as you shake the soaked thong of the girl she brought home last night, yelling about how you're convinced that said girl stole one of your underwear after this one got ruined.

"how would you even know that?" sevika snickers, eyeing you in disbelief. "are you that anal?"

"my drawer was half open, sevika! and I never leave it like that because I'd knock into it on my way in otherwise!" you snap, your eyes wide and glossy with anger. sevika's honestly a bit unnerved by the sight -- she's never seen you this pissed, but jesus, she thought it'd take more than a singular, flimsy piece of fabric to get you to this state.

"it's just one pair," she deadpans. "I'm sorry serena -- or, selena, I don't know -- took it, but it's not that big of a big deal."

"maybe not for you, but it is for me! listen, I don't care if you don't know the names of the girls you bring here, or anything about them -- but, just make sure they're not a thieving dumbass, okay? is that enough for you?"

sevika's jaw shifts, irritation beginning to sizzle in her from the condescension layering your words. you're talking to her like she's a fucking child, tone taking on a faux sense of guidance.

"okay, listen, I'm sorry she took your underwear, okay? I'll buy you a new pair if you're that bent out of shape over it. but, you don't need to be such a piss baby about it."

your head flinches back, eyes sharpening in clear anger. sevika feels a twinge of guilt. she knows she fucked up, since ensuring the girl from last night didn't do anything out of line was her responsibility. but, your anger has her own defenses kicking in automatically, and she's equal measures embarrassed and angered at being spoken to this way.

"I have every right to be pissed if you're gonna be stupid about the people you bring in our apartment."

well, that manages to snap her out of it. "because I could just magically anticipate that she'd steal your shit? I get it, she did something shitty, but I couldn't have known that. I've got lots of skills, but that's not one of them."

you scoff, the noise loud and unabashed. "oh, trust me, you made a great display of your skills last night. not that you seem to fucking spare any of that attention to someone unless you're gonna get a good lay out of it."

sevika immediately freezes at that, her brain running into overdrive. your tone has shifted into something biting, but lowered with what seems like -- frustration? frustration not just at that girl, but at sevika herself. and if you're frustrated about sevika possessing an attentiveness that she spares only to certain people, then that must mean--

sevika snickers softly. oh, yeah, you've definitely given her an opening in this argument. "what, you jealous?"

immediately, you're spluttering, broken words and half-gasps flinging from your mouth, sentences barely strung together. it only heightens sevika's newfound delight in having found something to hold above your head.

"you are, aren't you? what, haven't had a good fuck lately? need me to get one of my boys to come over and take care of you?"

sevika can see the way you work your teeth behind your pursed lips, and it only causes her flame of amusement to burn brighter.

"first of all, I'm not fucking pitiful, okay? I can handle getting fucked. second of all, I'm not into guys, something you'd know if you even spoke to me for two fucking seconds."

she stalks up to you slowly, using her height to her advantage as she dips her head down, staring at you with a piercing smirk. "well?"

your eyes are wide, blinking rapidly like a pretty little butterfly. they flicker down to her mouth, and sevika feels something stir in her gut at the sight. she's always been neutral about you, but there's something undeniably attractive about seeing you like this -- seething, wanting, in need of someone to take care of you. as her gaze roves over your features, she finds herself struck for the first time that you're, frankly, pretty good-looking.

but, then, you draw in a sharp breath, and sevika reels back in surprise when you hiss, "no."

she's left baffled as you whirl on your heel, stomping to your room, muttering out, "perverted jackass."

sevika chuckles at that. perverted jackass, huh?

roommate!sevika whose noises are so bothersome that you cover your ears, gritting your teeth at the rattling-headboard noises that are running through the apartment for the fifth fucking time in these past two weeks. how sevika manages to get this many girls in her bed is beyond your human capabilities. all you know is that it was never this often in the past. no, this -- this is fucking personal. you can feel it in the way she shoots you a haughty smirk the next morning, and how she encourages the people she's with to moan louder, move back faster. it's gotten to the point where you can even hear the fucking skin smacks.

it makes you utterly enraged. and impossibly soaked. but, for your own sense of justice and determination, you refuse to get off to the noises. in fact, everytime she continues her habit of asking you politely if she can bring someone over, you ensure to respond in as chipper a tone as possible. you don't want her thinking she's having an impact on you. you want to convey the self-image of being unbothered, unfazed and completely okay with every little dig she's attempting with you.

what makes you snap is when you're on your way to work one morning, and from where she's seated on the couch, lip bitten in frustration as she does a crossword puzzle like a fucking nerd, she says, "enjoyed the show last night? I can pick someone else up tonight. thought I'd ask in case you need to charge your vibrator in advance."

stay calm. stay calm. don't attack her. don't sit on her face.

"well," you drawl with a forced smile, "you'd like that, wouldn't you? so, your next girl can steal it for herself."

she immediately bursts into a loud round of laughter, her gap revealing itself unabashedly. your eyes linger on it, struck with a sudden bolt of fondness. it's one part of her that is unarguably adorable.

your eyes curiously travel to the wooden surface, gulping in surprise when you see a fresh pot already made. you know sevika always drinks coffee before her shift at the mechanic's, but that's usually just a single cup. never an entire pot like this. "did you, uh, make this for me?"

"don't flatter yourself. just take some."

her voice is a grunt and no-nonsense, not allowing for her meaning to be minced whatsoever. she wants you taking the coffee, and that's that.

with a bitten smile, you pour it into your tumblr, the pleasant scent of it wafting through your nostrils. it's the brand you always use, the one you've offered to sevika before that she's never actually taken you up on. at least until now.

she's at least half-redeemed to you until she says, "just needed some energy after last night, you know? wait, what am I saying? you were listening, won't you?"

your skin stretches over your knuckles as you tightly grip the doorknob.

roommate!sevika who you try to get back at by watching obscenely loud porn. sometimes, you touch yourself to it, while other times, you just let it play in the background while folding your laundry, or wiping the dust from your furniture. you know it's immature as fuck, and will probably never equate to the personal touch of her being the one to incite those noises when trying to piss you off. but, hey, if it keeps her up at night and pisses her off, you're more than content. and judging from the glares she silently shoots you in the morning, you can tell you're succeeding.

at least, until one day, she leans in from behind when you're making eggs, her mouth lowered to your ear, and mutters, "c'mon, you're easy on the eyes. can't be so hard to find someone that you resort to porn, right?"

your nostrils flare, nearly slamming down the pan on the stove. "oh, fuck off."

"don't you mean 'fuck me'?"

but, in a matter of days, you're sitting right next to her, a pencil in hand, the two of you debating over answers together and groaning in frustration whenever you get something wrong.

when you bump her arm, whining, "c'mon, I told you it was wrong!" she can feel her face heat up like some fucking teenager.

and when you roll your eyes when her answer ends up being the right on, it only eggs her on, the motion usually followed with her murmuring, "sorry, what was that again?"

whenever you two finish, she always says, "thanks for ruining it," to which you singsong, "anytime, sevika."

and she hates to admit it, but you're funny, too. there've been several times where she's actually been rendered silent from just how good a comeback of yours was, or where you said something that caught her so off guard she nearly laughed in a moment where she was just annoyed.

Ahhh okay back again! I realise I literally have not been keeping up to date with my spam messages, but who cares, only I'm reading these to myself lolol.

So. THE CLIPS TONIGHT!!

OMG where do I even start? So I was working during the day, so thankfully time flew by for me - I actually couldn't imagine having to wait around all day, I would've gone crazy! I was so looking forward to tonight, because I'll be honest - this remake is definitely my favourite! Maybe it's because it's my first one I'm ever watching in real time, but I genuinely feel it's more than that. They've made so many positive changes (like, in my opinion making Roko less toxic than William first was), and the cast is just so incredible in bringing the characters to life!

Nora and Roko are so easily my favourite Noorhelm remake by far! Their chemistry just feels so real and authentic (and yes I understand that authenticity and reality is literally the core of SKAM, but some remakes just weren't able to achieve that, in my opinion, but these guys have!) Maybe, also, I just find them to be one of the most beautiful Noorhelm remakes too - sue a girl!!

Okay, back to the actual clips! Firstly, I'll be completely honest, when we got the 22:05 clip with Maša, and she was talking about someone not calling for 3 days.....I genuinely thought it was about a girlfriend! Turns out, nope! Just her mum! But still, I believe in queer Maša being canon. It just works, u know? Also, Nora being such a sweetheart in that clip? Ugh love love love her. My heart literally hurt to see Maša crying, like, please no, I already love her so much. Already I feel she's spoken more words than Linn ever did!

Now onto the 13 MINUTE CLIP!! OMGGGG! Like, I already knew/was hoping it'd be a long clip like in the OG. But, once again, SRAM just outdid itself! I really do love how many one shot scenes there are. Like, I don't think I've seen anyone else talk about that? IDK, maybe some people have and I just haven't been seeing it at all hahahaha. But I noticed it so much in Season 1, and I'm really glad they're keeping it within the filming style! It really adds character to SRAM being it's own thing as well. I feel there's too much to even talk about with that clip but ahhh - Eva and Nix? Hello?? Love them! Nix picking Nora up? And that comment about expecting her way earlier (just goes to show that SRAM is making an effort to actually build Nix and Roko's friendship. Like, in the OG, I swear sometimes William just wouldn't tell Chris anything, like, IDK, to me that never made sense! But in SRAM, we know Roko actually talks to Nix about Nora - which, ugh, I love, such a loverboy!).

I feel like they kinda brushed over Vanessa this clip? Like, she was there in the photos, with both Eva and Tina, and I think Nix too? So like, did she leave with Tina? I guess it makes sense, cos they live in the same neighbourhood, but the fact none of the girls even mentioned her was just....iffy Idk. Nothing too deep, just something I noticed.

Ahh, one thing I just remembered! Right at the start, when Eva introduces that guy to Nora, and says about it being funny if he was called Adam instead. I loved that little throwback to the OG. I don't know if anyone else figured that, but I immediately was like OMG! In OG SKAM, when Eva has the date (the one that happened last Friday, or at least was supposed to? before it fell through? The one Nora lied about being busy for!) it's with a guy called Adam, and Vilde makes the funny joke about them being Adam and Eva. At least, I think that's correct and I'm not going crazy...

Either way, onto the important stuff - Roko and Nora!! I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it. Their banter, their chemistry, the way they bounce off each other so naturally and get the same jokes, just really makes them so enjoyable! Like, yes OG will always have a place in my heart, but, like, sometimes, it felt as though William had no personality. No laughs, No jokes. No smiles. And I get it! The whole 'broody, but only smiley for the right girl' vibe he had going did work! But, like, we're 10 years into the SKAM remakes now, and I'm just really glad they made this change and gave Roko a solid character build-up. I hope I'm making sense hahahaha

I didn't even notice, cos I was too entranced by Nora's singing, but he actually joined in at one part? Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but he does do a little something, before he then starts playing on the synth? keyboard? idk. And he sounded good! I really hope there's a chance for us to see more of that in the future. Some people reckon that instead of it being an essay/article that William helped with, it'll be a song, or a musical project - and I'd really love to see that be true! Also, just a side bar, in the OG, I feel like, once again, with us getting minimal characterisation of William, the guitar was a little random. Like, it was just never mentioned again? I'm pretty sure? It's been a while since I did a Season 2 rewatch, but I just remember always thinking how that felt like it came out of nowhere, and then was never mentioned again? Hahaha. Whereas, like, Roko being into music, being a DJ, has been a key point in this storyline so far.

So, we've mostly covered the clip but still, I just wanna touch on how easily Roko was able to pick up Nora's slight discomfort about singing in front of him (for real, rather than just messing about) and he so quickly just backed away so she was comfortable. Like, that man is for one woman, and one woman only, and her name's Nora. Like, he is so down bad for her!! Which, ugh, as a single girl who's never dated, it's so refreshing, in the big year 2025, to see a representation of a guy not being afraid to have a crush? And yes, I know, like, he's still a teen boy, he still has flaws, and unfortunately his character is fictional, but still, I am loving getting to see him smile at her softly, and take her beauty in and just quietly appreciate her.

Okay, now finally onto the last clip of the episode!! SRAM finally broke their Saturday no clip rule! I don't even think it was/is a rule, they just never seemed to post on Saturdays. Like, at all. Although, saying this....maybe they did in Season 1? And I'm just being silly? IDK, it's too late for me right now and I should be sleeping but I needed to get these thoughts out!

Anyways, we got the clip!! I was so scared we weren't going to get anything following the end of the 13 minute clip, but I kept adding the clips together and was like... 'we should still have 3 minutes left of the episode???' so I wasn't giving up all faith on the sleepover clip!! And I'm glad I didn't!! Once again, I loved - but are we surrpised?? No, not really hahahah

I'm just really loving the way SRAM is putting this storyline together. Like, yes, do I wish I saw what happened in those two-ish hours between the clips? Hell yes. But, I also love how it wasn't all shoved together. So, I am simply living in my own delusion and saying that they spent all that time playing around with the synth and just messing with each other!

Sitting here, rewatching the clip for the 7th time already (note, it's only been 45 mins as I'm typing, since it got uploaded), I just. No words. Love it. I really liked how it started with a reasonable scenario, of Roko sleeping on the couch, but then Oh No, What A Shame, It Smells Of Beer, Guess He Better Sleep In His Bed Again!! And Nora's reaction? Girl, I see you.

The little barrier, iconic as ever!! Their banter about Vito too? The reach-over and breaking of the barrier, was such a small thing in this remake, but once again, I feel it really worked with the scene and Nora and Roko's characters. The physical contact will always get me! I am a physical contact girly, so you can imagine my reaction when in the clip before Roko touched Nora's waist!!

When Nora says she doesn't know how to turn off the light, the way the camera angle was looking, I genuinely thought we were gonna have Roko lean over to turn it off for her. Which, I get is unrealistic hahaha, but I would've loved it. To maybe have seen Nora panic a little as he got closer, get a little flustered... idk - I just can't wait to see Nora when she finally lets him in and fully embraces her crush hahaha

And I really liked how they did it so Roko lies in this version! Now hear me out! I don't condone lying haha, but this was such a little funny lie, about Vito being out with some chick. Like, Nora knowing he was fully lying and making it up, but instead of leaving and getting angry she just stays and jokes with him too. Like, Your Honour, they are in love. They both want to spend time together!

Roko's little smile as he says "You do like me a little." and looks over at her. Beautiful. Absolute Cinema. And the call back to 'Robi' at the end. I really hope they keep including this as a little inside joke between the two. I mean, Roko seems more than happy to respond to it!

The. Way. Roko. Moved. The. Pillows. And. Moved. Back. So. He. Was. Closer. To. Nora. Need I say anymore??? No, I didn't think so. It was so sweet to watch!!

Now finally, and I mean finally, promise I'll be done soon! I really recognised the piano track playing in the background as the camera started to spin around them. It's absolutely a famous piece, I just can't think of what one right now (it's so late, I need to be up in 5 hours this isn't good for me hahaha). But I really love it! And the camera moving - ugh! LOVED IT!

I don't know if anyone will think I'm crazy, but I kinda hope we get a clip tomorrow? Like, with them waking up. I know we won't, because we've gotten the whole episode in these clips. But, I could just imagine the little transition between clips. Like how they did in Season 1, with them panning over the bed with Eva and Jakov. From night to then the morning. I really loved that a lot last season! Made the transitions a bit more fun!

Like I said, it won't happen, but maybe in the future? In a possible future clip? IDK, this is me now just projecting hahaha

An hour and a half later, there’s sage and tomato soup in four bowls, and a tray of garlic bread and Remus with a sheepish smile.

“I went through your kitchen witchbook and this was good for healing,” he points to the tomato soup, and his cheeks heat. “And cleansing. Thought it would help you and Jamie with your week.”

Your body sags in the sofa and then your launching into Remus’ arms. “You’re the cutest, most thoughtful man ever.” He’s thanked with a myriad of kisses that makes Sirius jealous.

“Hey! I made you and Jamie that tea that helps with being calm. Where’s my kisses?” You turn to Sirius but James beats you to it.

“You guys are the best.” Your belly is warm with how loved you feel and even warmer when the soup and garlic bread actually do help.

“Wanna have a shower or a bath after?” Sirius asks softly, stroking your hair and Jamie’s back. Remus is stacking your bowls and the plate to load the dishwasher.

“Wanna cuddle with Remmy,” James whines and Remus pauses all his movements.

“Give me two minutes, pretty boy? Just wanna load the dishwasher.”

Omgggg boy do I... I have a lot!! I wouldn't know where to start, do u have any specific stuff you wanna pluck out of my brain? Personally the thing I love the most about them is their shared interest in Ancient spell language (ancient magic in Eng). (bonus: their seat numbers are reversed and it means nothing, but it tickles my brain)

I could see them both getting like a more history-esque event like an Atlantis or Indiana Jones event.

This is also why I have a teacher AU between the two of them, cause I thought it would be funny if they were teachers in the same subject, but had vastly different opinions on teaching and the source material as a whole.

Not only that I think both Leona and Jamil actually really love teaching people, but they both like to do it on their own accord. Like for example how Jamil taught Epel how to dance in his Halloween vignette, and how he taught Floyd how to do a headstand.

for my MARAUDERS DR — regulus is a big quality time and physical touch person. he's also a big bickering person. i think this is a trope i end up subconsciously manifesting with every single s/o but he seems to find some weird enjoyment in annoying me, in a way where i'm not exactly annoyed just irritably amused. but yeh he mostly just likes hanging out with me, it's usually silent where we're doing our own thing or it's me talking and he'll chime in every so often with a thought or something to add to my rambles, he also likes being in some form of physical contact, usually it's our knees or elbows touching, or our shoulders. his fingers manage to find their way between mine every time our hands are near, stuff like that. i think something quite unique to him is eye contact, regulus is usually someone who's gaze would sweep past another person, he doesn't really pay much mind to those who don't matter to him, and even when he is paying attention, he's usually looking elsewhere, at the ground, at the sky, his notebook, a piece of parchment, he's occupied whilst listening. but with me, i notice he gives me his full attention more often than not, he really searches for my eyes, esp when i'm actively looking away. it's quite flustering but it also immediately calms me down so in that way, i appreciate it more than i let on

for my GOTHAM ACADEMY DR — let it be known here first, my s/o in my gotham academy dr is (drum rolls) damian wayne!! also disclaimer : this is a different damian wayne than my other dc drs. like in my arrowverse dr, damian's just bruce's kid and he has a different face claim and a more comic accurate personality, but in my gotham academy dr, my face claim for damian is technically my better cr bf and dami's personality is a bit different too, so idk, in my head they're like different people? anyway. damian also fits the bill with the "annoying my girl bcs i need that adrenaline rush while she glares at me" bullshit .. other than that he's mainly very words of affirmation. damian is incredibly observant and he can pretty easily pick up on where i need validation and he readily offers to me. actually, he pretty much offers every opinion up kinda readily, but especially so when he's building up my confidence. he also just enjoys giving me compliments, says its the least he can do. also an avid gift giver, would start off by researching what to gift a girl and would buy some really expensive things but he quickly realises that i more so appreciate the depth of the gifts like when he sketches me whilst i'm not paying attention and slips the sketch in between the pages of my notebook, or when he paints on those small canvases you can display on your desk, or when he finds this very specific scent of perfume that i loved and forgot the name of and gives it me on a random tuesday — he's extremely observant and equally as thoughtful

for my MARAUDERS DR — winter at hogwarts is absolutely magical, everything is covered in white pearlescent snow which seems to glitter every time the sun peeks through the clouds. winter with regulus is a lot of sneaking into each other's common rooms and finding some small toasty corner and cuddling there. usually we're reading books or ranting about the latest quidditch match, whether its a professional league or a match at our school. a lot of nights are spent in the library, the senior studies section is notorious for becoming a camping ground and regulus and i are not unfamiliar with it. also a lot of trips to hogsmeade, like every week, when winter rolls around classes start to slack off ever so slightly, everyone getting ready for the holidays. a lot of walks to this one lake in hogsmeade, i try my best to ice skate in my shoes and regulus leans against a tree eating a warmed pumpkin pasty while enjoying the show aka me falling flat on my ass. if the nights ever get super cold i actually go to his dorm and sleep next to him, the invisibility cloak is a godsend at that point. the dungeons can get pretty chilly so i convince him that sharing body heat is the way to go ahahahsdk and ofcs he's not one to deny a night of cuddles. essentially, we try and spend as much time together as we can before we need to separate for christmas which we each spend with our folks.

for my GOTHAM ACADEMY DR — winter in gotham is a bit of a nightmare at times i’ll be honest, but there are these moments . when it’s early in the morning, the sky is still a light violet blue, the city is starting to bustle again, slowly waking up, and the somber grey of the sky seems to beg you to stay in bed for an hour longer, yeahhh i tend to sleep in a lot and usually find myself being woken up by damian while he’s on a morning patrol before school. it’s a bit odd to wake up to robin rapping his knuckles against your bedroom window and sneaking in softly after he sees you peek up from under the covers. a lot of study dates which end up being movie dates, textbooks open yet abandoned on his bed while we huddle under a blanket with his projector set up, both of us with warm mugs of alfred’s hot chocolate and cookies. we also always make it habit to visit the gotham city winter wonderland fair, mostly because something wrong is bound to happen at some point and it’s wise for one of the bats to be there to prevent it and assist civilians, but also, it’s just fun in general — warm street food, shining bright lights, carnival games, damian’s arm over my shoulder while we try and out shoot each other and he loses graciously bcs he can’t raise suspicion, so i choose to buy the stuffed animal that he wanted rather than the one i wanted. also, i cannot possibly forget this, but bat family snowball battles >>>

I’m thinking too about the moment after the game, when the adrenaline has settled and you’ve changed back into your regular clothes. The gym is still buzzing, bright overhead lights casting on the court as people linger, laughing and talking in clusters. There’s that distinct smell of sweat and popcorn in the air, the sound of sneakers squeaking against the hardwood as players clear out. Your teammates slap you on the back, friends come up to give you hugs or high-fives, and you’re making your way toward your parents in the home stands, cheeks still flushed from the game and heart still thudding with excitement from the win. And there he is, standing a little off to the side with a few other students, his eyes trailing you the whole time. He’s fidgeting slightly, hands stuffed in his jacket pockets, shifting from one foot to the other, then finally moving toward you. He runs a hand over the back of his head, a little bashful but determined, before catching your eye and offering a soft, lopsided smile.

“Hey, ___,” he greets, voice a little nervous, but warm. “Great game, by the way. You played… incredibly well tonight. That foul they had on you was brutal—I, uh—I’m really glad you didn’t get hurt.” omg 😩 even though he tries to play it cool, there’s a glimmer of admiration in his eyes, like he’s still replaying the game and all of the highlight reels in his head, still kind of stunned by you

And yeah, if you came all the way just to attend that robotics competition, sitting through the nerves, the tech talk, and the utter chaos, just to watch him and his team compete, only for them to lose? And it’s not just about them losing, but losing first place when it was so obvious they should’ve handed him the remote to guide the robot up that damn incline, since he practically trained this team like the Navy to be the best of the best? Yeah. That would absolutely wreck him. As the captain of his school’s very robotics club, he’d already be gutted. But knowing you were there, knowing you made the effort and showed up to the competition, sitting in the stands for the whole day—he’d feel that failure ten times heavier. It wouldn’t just be that they didn’t win their chance to Nationals. It would be the creeping feeling that maybe… maybe he just lost any chance he had with you, too. Why would you ever want a guy who couldn’t even pull through when it mattered? A loser? That’s what he’d think. But truthfully, in that moment, he wouldn’t be able to help it. Sure, his teammates could tell he was upset about the loss, but what they didn’t know is that you were there. And if you sat with his parents? Introduced yourself? If his mom turned to you with a proud smile and said, “Oh, so you’re the sweet girl he’s mentioned before,” then yeah. He’d be petrified. The walk back to the stands would feel like a death march. His chest would be tight, his hands clammy, and his stomach twisted in knots. Because not only would he have to face them after the upsetting defeat, but then he’d have to look at you. And he wouldn’t be able to fake it, he’d think you deserved better. In his mind, it’d go down as one of the worst days of his life, no question

so I will say, I started being in the Homestuck fandom around, like, 2010? 2011? and to be honest, after they started getting popular, I was really unimpressed with the transfem Roxy headcanons at the time, mostly because it was all young teens, and most of them were TMEs, and this all led to this nonsense fuckin thing where theyfabs with yaoi addictions would scream about "omgggg she programs!111! and shes a catgirl!!!111 just like TRANS GIRLS xDDD smol cinnamon roll too pure for this world" bullshit, and it really soured me on the whole deal. she got hit with some really disgusting sexualization at the time that was directly the product of TMEs screeching about what a perfect representation of trans women she was, like they could not just be fucking normal about any of it, and I grew to associate transfem Roxy headcanons with the kind of people who'd screech and cry about me getting bottom surgery and not being their perfect programmer dickgirl anymore. that said, I also didn't like the transmasc Roxy confirmation in the Epilogues because, like you said, it felt super transmisogynistic and reactionary toward that (although I didn't know it was actually confirmed a transmisogynist wrote it on purpose to aggress transfem fans, that's nuts??? This fucking comic I swear.) anyway the whole thing kinda makes me wish they just left her as-is and focused the trans lens in tighter on June and Vriska, because like. come on. their stories are way better anyway, having been planned from the beginning.

nah here’s where i’ve gotta disagree with you slightly anon — my (obvious) problems with transmasc Roxy aside, i stand by the fact that the transmasc stpry we got about Roxy in the Epilogues was legitimately compelling, and after the bitterness of a favorite reading of mine being destroyed had passed I really enjoyed the split canon reflection on Roxy’s identity & i think it has some legitimately really interesting things to say; it’s particularly a good usage of classpect in the Epilogues, and i think the stuff they do with Dirk being transphobic is genuinely worth it.

almost every single major character from Homestuck proper who returns significantly in THE/HSBC needed to have their character “wrecked” in comparison to the original; it is fundamentally what the story is about. i think the majority of fans of specific characters were disappointed with where those characters’ stories were taken specifically because they had incredibly fannish understandings of what that might look like in an epilogue, and The Homestuck Epilogues/Beyond Canon are intentionally subverting the dichotomy between the sugary-sweet fannish “candy” interpretations & the gross-n-gritty “meat” interpretations, like that’s The Whole Point.

also, correcting you: all i heard is that somebody who historically had problems with transfem headcanons spearheaded the transmasc Roxy changes. i think it’s a bit of a stretch to say that that person legitimately did that to intentionally hurt transfems, even if we can agree that it was transmisogynistically loaded & eyerolly regardless

I really enjoyed it! It was a German production in Nuremberg, but the songs were sung in English. They modernized it, having Jesus and his followers speak out against the catholic church and its controversies (treatment of queer people, women, children, ...). So Herod was the pope and so on. I liked Mary Magdalene a lot. Something about her voice really suited the role imo? like how rough?? it was maybe.. (youtube.com/shorts/rxC6FgRjv8s) I cried multiple times, in particular during "Superstar". they made it out to be this scene in which Judas was wearing a sparkly suit, holding a camera (which was projected in large for everyone to see) and microphone into Jesus's face, who was all naked and bloodied from being whipped. The scene was really bizarre with everyone ignoring Jesus's suffering and telling him he didnt do enough. And Jesus and Mary Magdalene had a son together, who in the end was the reincarnation.

I'm really looking forward to comparing it to other productions!! it was the very first time for me to even listen to the songs, so i dont have a full opinion on this production in particular, except for that I liked it and i'm glad I got to see it and that it got me into the JCST in the fist place. (My boyfriend said we'd have to go again to compare it to other productions so I know he's the right one 🙏😤)

There's a couple recordings of different productions on YouTube if you want to compare, though I'd say most of them are different from one another only through the costumes and acting, without major changes. Still, this show tends to go all weird and unique with the setting so it's still worth watching other productions : D

yalll i havent been incredibly active for the latter of holy week because i was with all my church friends for a few days straight doing missions and just giving back to the community... but I GOT TEA 🤭🤭🤭 its abt the fine boy.

so while we had free time before heading to the inner city for missions i was just journalling to God. asking Him to do His will especially cuz theres a cute guy at church. just wanted to be composed but still be able to speak to him and whatnot. then my priest called all of us young adults to come together and delegate rides.... and fr. suggested that i go with the guy and his brother. SO I DID. he introduced himself to me and we shook hands.

WE TALKED FOR BASICALLY THE WHOLEEEE CAR RIDE. like his brother was the one driving so he was super locked in yeah hed chime in from time but OMGGGG THIS WAS LIKE DEEP CONVO I WAS HAVING WITH THE BOY FOR HOURSSS. he is such a pleasure to speak with. (idk why i say "boy" when hes literally a man hes like 22 😭). we shared our testimonies, where we are in life and what we wanna do in the future. deeper level stuff, no small talk. we ended up exchanging insta handles 🩵🩵🩵

so yeah ive just been praying to God bc he is such a light. i really have this intention to get to know his soul. i hope its Gods will that we can become closer friends and go at an unhurried pace. this is the first mission he's been on but he's been part of the apostolate community for a long time actually! hope i can see more of him. 🥹🥹🥹🩵🩵🩵🙏🏻🙏🏻

OMGGGG so cool to know that you're a dancer too! How did you get into dancing and deciding to major in it? I've always wanted to major in dance as well because I've been dancing since I was 7, done lots of different genres (my favs are contemporary and hip hop🙏) and have competed professionally before, but it stayed as that, just a side hobby especially after high school because my parents wouldn't let me study dance in uni, let alone pursue it as a career bcuz they think I'll be struggling n jobless in the future😭 And ngl that really made me insecure in my abilities till the point that I dropped dance for 2 years, but ever since last year, I've been getting back into the dance scene and taking classes ESPECIALLY after going for enha and nct dream's concerts last year🙏🙏they literally ignited some lost flame in me. Sorry for rambling hehe, but yeah, im just curious to know how it feels like to actually study/major in dance cuz that had once been a dream of mine

yeah studying dance is kinda as much as you can imagine, we’re dancing A LOT haha.

i will say one thing that i’ve really enjoyed doing is getting to learn more about choreography and staging? as well as like how shows and things work. I’m at a music school specifically and getting to be a part of the process rather than just a dancer is really cool!

We also get to work with a lot of emerging and student-artists too, so we’re learning about technique and history but we’re also getting to apply it to live performances.

i’m so glad you got to see enha and nct dream! two of my favs. They’re truly incredible. I admire them because they always show how much they love what they’re doing, and i know sometimes with the performing arts we get in our head about a lot of things, but there ARE people who’ve succeeded, and everyone does eventually but just at different times. there’s a place for everyone and that’s what i think keeps me going :)
